Casa Almea is just beautiful. The house itself is incredible and the furniture/landscaping just make it incredible. It is an ideal location, close to the town square but far enough away it is quiet/peaceful. The beach location is also great. Not as crowded as the main beach off the pier. Calm water in the morning and a new beach club where you can rent a palapa/chairs etc. Highly recommend staying at Casa Almea!

My family had a magical stay in Sisal and it was a highlight of our Yucatan road trip. Elena and Don Francisco were attentive and gracious hosts. You cannot beat the location of being on the sand in the most peaceful of environments. Casa Amea was a short walk to the pier and all the restaurants and markets. We feel like we were able to enjoy a little slice of heaven and will try to make it back.

This house and the entire area are truly magical! We enjoyed our stay so much that we didn’t want to leave. The house is absolutely beautiful, spotless, and thoughtfully designed. Every little detail made us feel comfortable and at home. You can tell how much care and love has gone into this place. We enjoyed every single part of our stay, from relaxing in the house to spending time outside. The beach is stunning, incredibly clean, peaceful, and just a short walk away. Sisal is the perfect destination for families: very safe, charming, and with plenty of great restaurants and activities nearby. Elena and Francisco provided true 5-star hospitality. They were incredibly kind, responsive, and went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing vacation. Their local recommendations were fantastic and made our trip even more special. This was one of our favorite vacations, and we would absolutely stay here again.

You have a beautiful home with an infinity pool. The area is peaceful and private. At the beach, you can rent Palapas and enjoy water activities like boat rides and banana boat fun. At the house, there's a private outdoor tub and shower, which is truly amazing!

We liked the house very much and really enjoyed our stay. It was just my wife and I, so we were able to take advantage of the tranquility, privacy, and how close the beach is. The sand is very white, and Sisal in general is a perfect place to rest and disconnect for a few days. Elena and Francisco's service was excellent. They were always attentive and responded quickly. As a constructive comment, we feel that there are some maintenance details that could be improved. The door to an interior bedroom didn't close properly, the mattresses could be replaced, and the air conditioning in the master bedroom stopped working during our stay. In our case it wasn't a big problem because there were only two of us, but for larger groups it could be uncomfortable. There were also two power outages during the stay, although we understand that this was probably external to the property. Other than that, we had a very good experience and yes, we would recommend it.

Lovely house, perfect spot, and off street parking. I really enjoyed the beach access and roof top lounge chairs for watching the sunsets. I’d highly recommend the property and will go back. One minor issue - structurally, one of the bedrooms not as well positioned as the other two.

Elena’s house was fantastic for my family’s stay in Sisal. It was spacious, beautiful, and right on the beach. The house has plenty of space, a sandy back yard area for activities, and easy access to the beach. All three bedrooms were large and had their own bathrooms. The house was clean, comfortable, and exactly as shown/described in the listing. I would highly recommend the house for your next stay in Sisal.

Sisal is such a great town and this house was the perfect place to stay in it. Everything you need and more - a beautiful outdoor bathtub! We walked down to the beach every day and watched the flamingos fly by from the roof chairs every evening. Super responsive host. Highly recommend!

A BEACHFRONT GEM! This is a gorgeous and peaceful home right on the Sisal beachfront. All homes are set back from the water but only a two-minute stroll away where you can rent a cabana with chairs and a hammock. Walk to town in ten minutes where you'll find lots of restaurants and tiendas (though you may want to stock up on supplies in Merida if you want to do anything beyond basic cooking). All three bedrooms are beautiful, airy, and complete with ceiling fans and AC. The living area and outdoor patio are extremely peaceful. You can spend hours by the pool, soaking in the scenery. Francisco, the caretaker, is wonderful and always available. This could be the best place in town!

The house was very modern and beautiful, the master bath with outside shower and tub are just delightful. One thing to note is that with one of the bedrooms you have to walk thru the master to get to the main living area. We did not use that bedroom so it wasn’t an issue. Francisco was very kind and responsive, the hot water went out at 8:30pm and he was there within 10minutes! Air conditioning worked great, grounds are stunning. Overall a great house. Loved our stay.

A beautiful place on the sea. Casa Almea is close to many restaurants and small convenience stores. The patio and pool are great places to relax and enjoy watching the daily flights of the flamingos. Francisco is wonderful. He was always available to help whenever we had a problem.

One of our best stays with Airbnb. This is one of those rare homes where the photos don't do the place justice. The home is beautifully constructed, the landscaping and outdoor spaces are perfection, and the ocean views are completely breathtaking. The host is very responsive and the local caretaker, Francisco, took care of us all week. We aren't travelers who generally return to the same places, but my husband and I agreed that we would come back here. Highly recommend.

Beautiful house, very well equipped, we went in a group of women and we had an amazing time, the house was clean and with sound on the terrace which was a pleasant experience when we were in the pool and during dinner, we walked along the beach and the amount of shells there is impressive. Wonderful stay! Sisal is a small, quiet, and peaceful little town. Casa Almea is beautiful, my kids had the best time. Elena was a wonderful host. She sent many recommendations for food and activities. We booked a massage at casa almea and it was so relaxing. Definitely recommend booking if you are looking for a weekend to disconnect.

This was such an amazingly beautiful space. The home was very comfortable, well appointed, fully stocked with everything one would need to cook, the pool area was relaxing, and you can’t beat the proximity to the beach. Elena was very responsive and accommodating. We felt right at home as soon as we arrived and would definitely recommend her home to anyone seeking a relaxing beach stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Almea. Communication with Elena was great. She helped us set up a tour of the mangroves to see the flamingos, and to book really good massages at the house, and also helped us arrange a chef to cook some meals for us, which were excellent! Fransisco, the maintenance man, was also very kind and helpful. Our stay was super relaxing. We went down to the beach for swims and walks, lounged by the plunge pool, and just enjoyed a peaceful time in the sweet little town of Sisal. Having the bicycles was a nice treat too to ride into town and grab a few things at the local shops. I highly recommend staying here!

The villa is great, just few steps away from the beautiful beach, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay! The villa and property feel very well cared for, very private and relaxing. The house is located close to restaurants, local seafood is very fresh and delicious! Most of the restaurants close early 5-6 pm. Sisal is a very safe and quiet town with a few small grocery stores offering basic and limited products, if you are planning to cook at home your best choice is to buy groceries in Merida or other bigger city. Do not forget to take medications and some pesos, not all stores take credit cards and the local pharmacy offer very limited meds. Elena was very responsive and helpful. We will definitely visit Casa Almea again, beautiful place to spend your vacation!

Great place to stay, great communication

Wow, what an incredible place. This home was immaculate and wonderfully appointed. We loved lounging in the sun, cooking in the kitchen, watching the sun set from the rooftop ... everything. Elena was so friendly and easy to work with! We were welcomed by Francisco who gave a thorough tour. Elena checked in to make sure everything went well. The location is really great too. The house is set back a short walk from the beach, and it's a 15 minute walk to the center of town (although Elena provides bicycles!). We had a totally delightful stay and would definitely recommend this home and host to anyone!

Simply a dream. The house is gorgeous. The property is meticulously maintained. Elena was super responsive to all of our questions and requests. We were a family of five and it was perfect. This place is perfect - our kids want to move in! Francisco and Elena were incredible hosts, always available for questions and forgiving of my Spanish. The home is lovely-all the supplies you could need and so many places to relax and enjoy. The beach is so close, yet the rise protects the house from strong winds. This stunning, spacious, clean new home is steps off the beach, and an easy walk or bike ride from town center (the house comes with bikes). The pictures are accurate and the service / communication from staff is top notch. Enjoy the cool plunge pool especially in the first half of the day when the sun shines most on that part of the house. Take advantage of the loungers on the roof for sea and sunset views. Refresh in the outdoor shower and bathtub with hot water. And spread out in all the many perfectly designed hang out areas. Sisal is friendly, welcoming, safe, and peaceful. Very quiet at night - restaurants close early - so having a place like Casa Almea that you genuinely love spending time in is key. Don’t miss the tour of the mangroves and a swim in the Ojo de Agua Cenote! We loved our time and can’t wait to go back. Thanks so much to everyone at Casa Almea.

We would have liked to stay longer than the two nights. 100% would be back. The only detail is that it can't be washed for free, and at that price one would expect it to be included.

This is my fourth or fifth stay at the property, which likely says all that needs to be said. Between Elena and Francisco's (the house manager) kindness, attentiveness, and their sincerity, every time I visit it's like coming home. The house has everything one could need, and while Sisal is a quiet coastal village in Mexico, it is one of the most beautiful locations. The short walk to the beach still takes my breath away each time and the sunsets never disappoint. This trip we had to ensure Hurricane Milton and even though we didn't have power or water for 2.5 days, we felt safe and cared for. It was actually very nice to disconnect, read, play games, and chat with each other. This is a one of a kind home and location. The quaintness of Sisal, the people, and the home, are what keeps us going back year after year.

We LOVES Casa Almea. This was our second time staying here and we wish we stayed longer. Elena & Francisco are an amazing host, his wife cooked for us one day because a storm was coming. We can’t wait to go back already, missing that sleepy fisherman village.

Everything was to our liking, the Airbnb is just like in the photos, we were 3 couples and we accommodated very well, everything is air-conditioned, the pool is super good size.

Yet another summer here and as always it feels just like home. You can read my previous reviews for the absolute praise of this property - my advice: don’t hesitate, book this home and enjoy every second of the peaceful beauty of the home and Sisal. You won’t be disappointed. Francisco, the caretaker, is one of a kind, an amazing individual, who is beyond respectful of your time.

Sisal is a wonderful place to visit if you’re looking to truly unwind and relax. It is not as developed as other beach towns, but I’m sure developers are coming. In the meantime it’s quiet, chill, simple. Perfect for us for a few days. Bikes helped get into town for groceries and such. The house is as close as you can get to the beach, and from back door to water takes about 3-5 minutes to walk. It’s a wonderful beach, very shallow and safe. The rooftop is great for sunsets, the pool for refreshing dips, and our kids loved the old school foosball table. Speakers on the back porch were great fun too. The kitchen could use some upgrades in terms of cookware but we did fine with simple pans and the basics. A great house in a fantastic location— thank you!

We love our time at Elena's place. the house is lovely and she and the people that help her over there are great. We live Sisal and look forward to going back there next easter.

Excellent accommodation, kindness from everyone and a comfortable and calm stay. We were recommended good restaurants and we took the opportunity to walk with horses, extremely satisfied. We felt right at home.

Loved the house! Walked up the beach and had great appetizers and drinks. The short street to get to the house was dirt and had quite a few potholes so glad we rented a 4 wheel drive with higher clearance. Overall would rent again.

Beautiful stay, ideal for families who want to rest and enjoy the beach, pool and board games. The kitchen is very functional. The service is personalized to enjoy, for example, a good fried fish. The architecture of the house is very functional and comfortable.

As soon as we arrived we were already kicking ourselves for only booking three nights. You need five for sure. It was just the two of us so we didn’t get to enjoy all the gorgeous nooks and crannies this place has to offer. Here are some of the highlights: Rooftop beds- barely touched them The pool + patio on the rain Sexy lighting ambiance in the front is impossible to photograph, but trust it’s immaculate Outdoor shower! ATV rental! Local seafood! We’ve travelled the globe and this house is in top five we’ve stayed at. The only thing to note is that the beds are very similar to Greece/Europe- very firm. We liked them but they may not be for everyone.

Our second summer at Elena's home, and as soon as we walked in the door we felt like we were home again. To listen to our kids bring up memories from the year before and to see the house the smiles on their faces was worth it. Francisco's great care and wonderful personality makes being a guest here truly make you feel like you are home. The house offers plenty of room, we are a family of six, there's plenty to do from the books on the shelves, the chessboard in the living room, to the foosball table, pool, swing, rooftop lounge area, firepit out front, and of course, the two minute walk to the water. Beyond the house, the sunsets are worth the visit. Catch one from the beach, from the back patio, or the rooftop terrace and you will have one of those moments in life that you cherish right then and there. Lovely beach home in a quiet beach community. Our host (Elena) responded promptly to every question including connecting us with the local tour company…which was a short walk away. Everything was pleasant and as the pictures show. Great location to access a beautiful beach, relax in a calming home, enjoy the local restaurants, or take local tours (e.g., fishing, mangrove swamps, cenotes)

This home is gorgeous with many private areas set up for indoor/outdoor living. Miles of beach with no one in sight. The village of Sisal is an easy walk. It’s small but it has a few nice restaurants with excellent seafood (I recommend K LU'UM Restaurante). Elena and Francisco are very helpful if you need anything. We would book this home again.

Casa Almea is breathtaking. The front yard is beautifully landscaped with a fire bowl and hanging pod chairs. The pool is small but refreshing and the ocean side yard is a vast oasis of white sand and vibrant shrubbery. The home is very comfortable and the decor is picture perfect. On the rooftop there are two double sun loungers for taking in the sea views. Spectacular. We used the bikes every evening to ride to the pier for sunset. Elena and Francisco were helpful and responsive. Francisco arrived promptly when we found one of the bike tires deflated and Elena answered all of our questions without fail. Regarding provisions in town, don’t worry about provisioning before your arrival. We found everything we needed at a collection of small local merchants. We will be back each year as long as Elena will have us.

Elenas home is beautiful spacious and was perfect for our family getaway lots of room and ideal outdoor and Iindoor space . The beach is not so nice and Sisal is small so not to many choices of places to eat , but I would highly recommend this Airb&b

Probably the most beautiful house in Sisal. Very pleasant and well located. Everything that you need. The whole team is very nice and you can ask them to help you organize having someone coming to cook for you. Totally worth it. Doña Carmen is great and cooks delicious. Try her ceviche. Would definitely come back.

I couldn’t think of a more perfect or beautiful beach house! Elena’s house is so well appointed and having the rooftop was amazing. We spent our evenings up there as it was during a full moon 🌕 The bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms were so comfortable. Elena is an excellent communicator and her host Francisco was so kind and welcoming. I live in Mexico and would love to return to this fantastic house in the near future 🙏

Elena was very attentive, there were 6 of us and a minor and she left us extra sheets for him, the view is spectacular, the house is very comfortable, spacious, there are different areas to de-stress or entertain you, the audio system is good, the football made us be there for hours, the beach is 3 min walk and it is beautiful. Amazing place, it’s paradise

If only more than five stars could be given, this house would earn them. Location, location, location is just one reason to stay at Elena's home. Coupled with the amenities: foosball table, two bicycles available, a grill, a fire pit out front, a swing, the pool, and multiple areas to relax and sun bath to name a few. The fact that the house sits on the sand there's a backyard for everyone to enjoy (we spent it playing soccer) and a mere 200 meter walk and you are at the beach. The water in Sisal is beautiful - warm, clear, and full of amazing seashells. The house was very well outfitted, the ability to rent the ATV was fun (we had a car but still decided to try out the ATV) and well enjoyed by all. The local caretaker, Francisco, is beyond polite, professional, and a truly genuine individual. He was there for anything that we may have needed, we saw him around town and he was always willing to help or give advice. I could go on and on about the beauty and tranquility of Sisal and Elena's home. You couldn't choose a nicer place to spend your vacation.

Casa Almea was an absolute dream. Every inch of the space is thoughtfully designed and goes perfectly with the welcoming little town of Sisal. Not to mention the quick access to the beautiful beach. Fransico, the property manager, was SO kind, commutative and helpful for whatever we needed. My husband and I just wanted a peaceful tranquil week away from work and kids and that’s exactly what we got. Feeling rejuvenated heading home!
