This home was beautiful and rustic, the views were gorgeous, the pool was amazing, Lori and Jason were VERY responsive and accommodating, but we went at the start of the rainy season, and it is important to know a few things: The rainstorms bring a torrent of bugs. Hundreds. My threshold for bugs is quite high, but this was *a lot*, they were literally everywhere and always on us. There is no indoor living room, just the seating on the balcony, and there are no screens on the windows, so during (and after) the storm we just stayed in the mosquito netted bed. We got dozens of mosquito bites still. The road to the house requires 4x4, especially in the rainy season. Period. This is a very peaceful, secluded location in the jungle and only about 10 min from town. It's a lovely place, just be prepared for interaction with jungle bugs.

The house is a bit run-down, and there were an awful lot of animals in the house. We never had food leftovers lying around or windows/doors open, and yet everything was full of ant trails and the like. The fan in the lower bedroom was broken and didn't turn. The fan in the upper bedroom was very small and could not be adjusted. The pool was not as described in the pictures. The water was extremely cloudy and not filtered. The outdoor area was not well maintained, and everything was dry. The kitchen was well stocked and the terrace or balcony was very nice, and we enjoyed spending time there. In addition, the view was outstanding! Lori and Jason were always available and extremely accommodating. The communication was great!

We loved the house—private, safe, with large windows, lots of light, and good ventilation! We loved it! The pool was amazing, so relaxing! And the view is a spectacle! The sunrises! We'll be back.

Beautiful place and very quiet. We felt safe at all times… The apartment is located near Playa Cedros, a beautiful beach. The house has an ocean view with incredible sunrises, and there is a private pool with lights and everything you need to have a great stay…

We had an amazing time at the house! A 4x4 is really recommended like everywhere in Costa Rica. The house is really nice and the sunrise in the morning from the master bedroom is amazing. We had a lovely time :-)

Beautiful surroundings Rather rustic "country" house, good if you are not looking for modern comfort. The pool is nice and the view is breathtaking, especially at sunrise. Jason is very attentive.

The place is extremely beautiful, the views are amazing, the space was clean and tidy, added to the comforts provided by the house, it is an incredible option to stay, very grateful to Lori and her partner!

Absolutely loved our stay! The house was spotless, with incredible views and a stunning pool that made it feel like a private paradise. The property is spacious and secluded, offering plenty of peace and quiet. The hosts were fantastic friendly, welcoming, and always quick to respond. We felt well taken care of throughout our entire stay. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return!

We enjoyed our stay at Lori and Mike's house. We had privacy and it isn't far from Montezuma or Cabuya. We were really grateful for the pool. The road is rough leading into the property but most rural roads in CR are like that. If you're driving in CR you really need a 4W drive anyway. We walked down the hill to Cedros beach and it took about 15 min.

We had a great time in montezuma. Good facilities, nice pool. You‘ll need a 4x4 to get there without any problems.

We really enjoyed our stay at Casa Los Cedros. Just the right mix of rustic jungle vibes and amenities. The view is amazing and the pool was so refreshing. I recommend getting up early enough to watch the sunrise over the ocean from the pool. Pure magic. Jason, the caretaker was very friendly and helpful but absolutely allowed us our privacy. Lori and Mike were excellent hosts and provided us with all the info we needed logistically as well as loads of recommendations for local restaurants and activities. Montezuma + Cabuya make for a great base camp to explore the region from. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and a local grocery well stocked enough to cook from home if desired. Looking forward to returning!
