Very happy with our stay. Drew was very helpful and super friendly. Highly recommend!!!

Everything is as described. The bedrooms are large with space to store our personal belongings. The kitchen is well equipped, with dishes to store our leftovers. The air conditioning is functional and adequate. The rooms cool down quickly. Although there is a store below the apartment, we had our privacy and were not disturbed by the staff. Drew is very kind and accommodating. He responds quickly to messages and offers good suggestions. He helped us get a flat tire on the car repaired. He was very helpful. The pool is great. We took advantage of it during our activity feedback. We were able to watch the howler monkeys for many minutes. There were so many of them passing by us. It was a roller coaster. And what can I say about the surf instructor, who is really very nice and encouraging (thank you, Yoani!!!!). We recommend this accommodation without hesitation! Thank you, Drew.

We LOVED our stay above the Frijoles Locos Surf Shop. The accommodations were perfect for our family of four. The location was an enjoyable, easy walk to everything we needed: the beach, groceries, and restaurants. Drew was an incredible host and his staff was very attentive and kind - assuring each day that are needs were met. They even graciously provided a 20% discount on all rentals at the surf shop. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and the setting was idyllic with a gorgeous pool and plenty of wildlife (iguanas, birds, and nearby howler monkeys). We look forward to staying here again for our next visit to Playa Grande.

Drew and I had several interactions during our one week stay, all of which were helpful and insightful. His office is downstairs, and while he is often busy with those business responsibilities, he always made time when questions arose. The property is the upper floor of his surf shop, lending itself to quick and easy support for our surf trip, not to mention a 20% discount on rentals and lessons, though not on retail items. The only noise we noticed was during opening and closing times, but we were normally out surfing during those times, via the 8 minute walk to the beach. The shop itself has a full selection of just about everything you could ask related to surfing. Probably our only regret was not booking a lesson with Giovanni, a positive and supportive employee whose passion is infectious. The only minor quibble I can think of is the kitchen could be better equipped, though we made meals successfully twice a day. I would absolutely return and would recommend!

We stayed in Playa Grande as a family with 2 children and felt very comfortable at the place. The pool is great, and the terrace is perfect for relaxing. Drew and his team were always friendly and easy to reach. We booked surf lessons directly at the shop. Giovanni was a really great surf instructor and was perfect with all the family members. We were very satisfied with the location. Close enough to the beach and restaurants to be able to leave the car behind sometimes.

We loved our stay above Frijoles Locos. Nice spacious apartment with two outdoor areas to hang out in - terrace upstairs and pool below. Drew and his team were super kind and helpful. Travelling with a toddler and surfboards can be a lot to manage and they went out of their way to make life easy for us. Being right on top of a shop and around the crew was a plus for us - we felt connected to the area in a way we wouldn’t have in a “private” property. We’ll be back!

Not only was the apartment lovely, clean and so comfortable but Drew is a remarkable host. He was quick to respond to any questions and made us feel like welcomed guests!

We had a great time. Apartment was spacious and comfortable, great deck allowed viewing of monkeys in trees. Pool close and fun. Amanda did excellent work

We had a great time here and Drew was an excellent and accommodating host. Spacious enough for 4 adults plus a baby. Super close to the beach and places to eat, but still quiet especially at night. Great pool. Would gladly come back!

We loved our stay at Drew’s place! Very walkable, close to the beach and all of the restaurants and amenities Playa Grande has to offer. Drew was a very kind and communicative host, and even helped us reserve a fishing charter (would highly recommend this excursion)! Would recommend to anyone looking for a good local spot in Playa Grande!

Drew was an excellent host and his place is great proximity from the beach (10 min walk). We loved coming back and cooling off in the pool. Having the surf shop under the Airbnb was helpful to grab sunscreen and rent boogie and surf boards.

Drew is a really friendly and helpful host. He’s always making sure that everything is going well. This was our second visit to Drew’s place and we would stay again.

Drew was very accommodating with our late arrival - detailed instructions were left for us, and he was gracious enough to turn in the a/c to cool down the apartment for our arrival. Communication through the app, or by phone was easy and quick, and he was always available for a chat or recommendation in person too!
