Aloha Surf Nosara

We truly enjoyed our stay here! The staff were so kind. The room was very clean. Beds comfortable, air-conditioning works great. There was a wonderful little toaster oven and coffee maker, which was super handy. Big closet for organizing our clothes. Really great outdoor pool and shaded hangout area. Although slightly dated, it certainly didn’t bother us in the slightest as everything was in good working conditions and very comfortable. Walking distance to really good restaurants and the beach. Property also felt very secure and safe. Would stay here again for sure! Thank you Aloha Surf Hotel!!

One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at. We traveled to Nosara for a wedding and it was our first time traveling internationally with our baby. Everyone at Aloha Surf Nosara made us feel at home. Super cozy, great location and we loved the pool area! And, Daniela was wonderful! She picked us up and even babysat for us while we were at the wedding. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!

Basic functional place surrounded by jungle. Super friendly staff. Nice pool. $10/day surfboard rentals on the property. I will come back. 7 minute walk to the beach.

This has been my favorite place to stay in Nosara and I will definitely be back. It's on a quiet street, it feels safe, it's clean, and it also feels private despite having multiple rooms/guests and open shared spaces like the kitchen and pool. It's a great deal for the price and location. Fidel was constantly checking in to make sure everything was good, I felt very well taken care of!

Casa Plumeria is a great place to stay in Nosara! Walking distance to shops, restaurants and the beach. Hosts are warm and welcoming. The casa was spacious and perfect for our family of four. Would definitively stay here again.

Tyler’s place is a sweet and simple air bnb in the heart of the downtown area of Nosara. The accommodations are very simple and met all our needs and price point (!). The pool area is very sweet and welcome in the heat of the day. Nosara is now incredibly trendy and has become very expensive so it’s nice to find a place that’s affordable and within walking distance to downtown shops, restaurants and the beach. Thank you!

Amazing location. Beautiful setting. In laws take unbelievable pride in the place. As well they were friendly , obliging, outgoing and although they really only spoke Spanish we were able to communicate using a translator program and we could not ask for nicer people. Tyler was amazing at answering all our question. Will be looking at a return next year. Thanks Tyler

The place is awesome! It’s got a great vide, love the pool, and it’s a short walk to the beach. The room is super clean, and comfortable. The place has a great laid back vibe. Ryan is an awesome host! He’s a big surfer and has a bunch of surfboards to rent at a great rate. He also has a quad to rent too. He’s super responsive with anything I need. A lot of the people have come back year after year here. And I am definitely coming back next year! I couldn’t recommended enough.

We stayed one night here and were positively surprised. In the photos, the room doesn't necessarily make a welcoming impression. In reality, the room was super comfortable, totally clean and cozy. The location of the place is great - everything is within walking distance, but you have your peace!

A gem in the heart of Playa Guiones. Felt so safe, welcoming and comfortable in this space. Well stocked communal kitchen, fantastic pool, awesome selection of boards and the nicest property managers. Highly recommend this stay, I’ll definitely be back!! Most guests around me were return, so that’s always a GREAT sign.

Tyler is an ideal host! He's very friendly, responsive, and helpful. We loved staying at this place for three main reasons. First, the gorgeous and cool outdoor kitchen and pool. The beach is awesome, but does get hot. Tyler's backyard oasis was so refreshing and it was very fun to cook outdoors and mingle with the other guests. Second, the lovely local hosts aka Tyler's in-laws. They were on-site during our visit and so very nice. Finally, we could easily walk to the beach and surf! We took one lesson, and then easily rented boards from Tyler for the reminder of our stay to hone our surfing skills. This is a great spot, and a place we hope to return! Thanks Tyler!

Very nice location and a very clean and convenient accommodation. Everything was as described. There are several units, just be sure to remember the name of which unit you booked. The groundskeeper who greeted us at check in was very nice but didn't speak any English at all and didn't seem to have a list of who was staying at each villa. We almost moved our stuff into the wrong unit before looking back over my email from when I first booked it many months ago where it showed the specific casa name (in AirBnB, under "My Trips" the name of the unit was not listed). We (family of 4) enjoyed our stay very much.

Have stayed in this place twice now and enjoyed it both times. Low key and a nice location - just a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops.

Such a great spot, beach and restaurants are super close, easy to walk to. Beautiful property with a lovely pool and lovely people. Would happily book with Tyler again.

Great location, great staff. Nice to have surfboards available at the lodge. The outdoor kitchen is great. Walk to surfing is the best! Cold AC in the bedrooms. Nice and quiet campus at all hours and the other guests were friendly and nice to spend time with.

A great stay for the more budget oriented traveler to Nosara. The rooms had plenty of space, great AC, and a fridge. The pool was so great to hang out with the other guests during the hottest parts of the day. Plus a fully equipped outdoor kitchen which we used several times. A short 8 minute walk to the beach and close to all the restaurants. Tyler was always receptive and easy to communicate with. Look forward to returning.

This is a little gem in downtown Nosara that I think would be really hard to beat for the price and location. It's close to lots of shops and restaurants but yet quiet. Tyler was a great host - laid back and super easy to deal with - we'd definitely go back & can highly recommend it

Lovely, quiet, peaceful cabin, and still very close to Gabis and the main road through Nosara that has restaurants and shops. Well stocked kitchenette & bathroom. Clean & tidy. Well maintained home and grounds! There is a pool and hammocks and beautiful outside space to relax. My absolute favorite part were the caretakers, Fidel and Mirella—they are the kindest, most caring, warm, welcoming people. I had an issue with the internet in the morning (the grid we were on went down, not the fault of the Airbnb and is a rare occurrence. And it worked perfectly the night before), and I had to work, so I was feeling anxious, and Fidel treated me like a daughter and went the extra mile to help me—he called friends and offered to let me use his cell phone for a hot spot. They care so deeply about their guests and take pride in maintaining a beautiful welcoming space. I wish I could have stayed longer and will definitely be back! This place has lots of Aloha and Pura Vida spirit! Highly recommend!

We stayed at Tyler’s place for a month. The location is great and it has all you need. Tyler and also his parents in law (who were there most of the time) were super friendly and helpful.

My family had a great stay at Casa Mango and appreciated that this place was on one of the quieter streets in town, yet still easy walking distance to the beach and other attractions. The grounds were well maintained with super friendly Tico caretakers and while private, there was a nice community aspect of the property layout and we enjoyed meeting some of the guests by the pool common area. This place reminded me much more of the town I first visited in 1999 than the super high end luxury developments that have now become common in the area. A perfect place to relax and focus on the beauty of the area.

Second time staying at Aloha. 10 out 10 both times. Great community and staff. Quick walk to the stuff. Highly recommend.

I cannot say enough about this place. I’ve been coming to Nosara for almost 20 years and I’ve stayed at Tyler’s place the last 8 in a row. When I go I meet people who have also chosen this as their repeated spot to stay. The community/family feel and good vibe starts with what Tyler and his staff put into the place. I’ve always left with friends and memories from families with kids to solo adventurers. To me it’s almost kind of a hidden gem there. I love the simplicity but the amenities as well. It’s everything you need. Short walk to everything and just far away enough from the busyness of the main streets. I was more than sad to leave this time. I will definitely continue to make this the place I stay every time I visit and can’t wait to go back. I miss it already…

Second time staying at Tyler’s and would have stayed longer if there was availability. Great community of people to hang with at the pool and community kitchen. Room was really clean and plenty of hot water. Just down the road is best seafood restaurant in Nosara.

No need to look for a better deal in Guiones. Tylers place got everything you need. It’s a classic Costa Rican experience. With an aloha vibe. This pick a no brainer. Been here 6 times and can’t wait to come back next year. Thanks Tyler for everything. You got a great thing going on in a very beautiful place on earth. See you next year.

We had a great time at the Airbnb. Everything went smoothly and we really enjoyed the pool area. The room looked like the pictures. Nothing to complain about, would definitely stay again!

Convenient location to walk to beach and restaurants. Nice pool area with a refrigerator and blender and grill. The couple who maintain the facility don’t speak English but are on the ball. Our toilet seat was broken and he brought a new one within an hour. He also kept everything immaculate. We have been traveling Costa Rica and this is the only place that provided an outside clothesline with pins for our wet bathing suits! Shower in our room had very low pressure but outside shower by pool was good.

Aloha is an ideal place to stay. Tyler is helpful and easy to communicate with, and the staff and community are fantastic. My kids said the pool is their favourite. Plus, Kala the resident puppy, is adorable.

The location was ideal, and more tranquil than my last 2 places I stayed in Guioness, I enjoyed the area better for this reservation, loved having the kitchen, all at our disposal to cook, BBQ outside and especially the pool, we were 90% alone and quiet. Fidel and his wife was there to help us, Tyler was always quick on our requests, and we were able to rent bicycles and an extra surf for my girlfriend. Thank you 🙏 for the hospitality. I'll go back anytime.

My family and I greatly enjoyed our stay at Casa Aloha. The property is well maintained and beautiful. The pool and surrounding area is clean with plenty of loungers and hammock/hammock chairs. We either had the pool to ourselves or shared it with another guest or two at most. All guests were friendly and respected others in terms of noise and privacy. Very quiet at night. The house is no frills, clean, beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all the essentials and Tyler’s in-laws who manage the property are lovely and helpful. I’d advise getting there before dark the first time but if you are going to arrive after dark, I would give Tyler a heads up about what time you’ll be arriving so he can communicate that. BYO beach towels. There are boards to rent. Easy walking to the beach and restaurants. We didn’t rent an ATV or golf cart but our kids are 9 and 13. Tyler is friendly, very responsive and easy-going. I would absolutely stay here again.

This was a great place to stay for a few weeks. The location was great - quiet but close to the beach and restaurants. The little refrigerator, toaster, and microwave in the room was very convenient for pre and post surf snacks. The pool area and shared kitchen was also great. Tyler was very responsive and answered all my questions. I would definitely stay here again.

Arrived after dark but was easy enough to find. The room was as expected and I enjoyed my stay thoroughly. The custodians at the place was extremely lovely and their doggie, Cala, was a joy! Tyler was helpful every step of the way. So thank you!

This is great little place for anybody wanting fast and easy access to the beach and local amenities. Tyler is great, and the rooms are clean, convenient, and functional. Parking is also good, and the whole place feels very secure and relaxed. Would definetly stay again!

The place is in the perfect location because you can walk to Destiny for the best breakfast in Nosara and continue right down to the beach afterwards for a surf. Walk in the other directions and you land where all the dinner time activities are. The road itself is not well traveled so it’s very quiet! Best location.

This is the second year we have stayed at aloha, it’s a good location because you are walking distance from all the resultants and the beach. Double master bed rooms in casa mango and pleumaria. Full kitchen and outdoor kitchen. We love this spot and will stay again! Thank you Tyler!!

This is a great place to stay in Nosara as it is in walking distance to the beach and restaurants. The guests in other cabins were very friendly and helpful, the pool refreshing. The rooms come with a fan, AC and a fridge. A well equipped community kitchen is by the pool.

Great little spot within walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Tucked away down a quiet street. The grounds are beautiful with a nice pool and hammocks for lounging. The best part is you actually have hot water for a shower (rare in Costa Rica). Thanks for the great stay Tyler wish we could have stayed longer.

The villa was very nice and cozy. The enclosure was like a mini development of about 6 houses, with swimming pool, barbecue, playground.... All literally 3 steps from the house. In our case, we enjoyed everything as private because we hardly met neighbors. Both the beach, restaurants, shops... It's a 5-minute walk away. I hope to repeat. PURA VIDA

Tyler’s space was easy and perfect for our trip to Costa Rica. Had everything we needed and was walking distance away from all the restaurants we wanted to try. He also arranged a ride to and form the airport for us so that was very helpful and nice. Highly recommend!

Great location which was extremely walkable to the beach and Nosara Hotspots! Quiet street and loved the hammocks in the garden. Perfect place to unwind post surf. No frills space that's great for the surfer on a budget.

Tyler’s place was wonderful. We stayed two nights on a bike packing journey through Nicoya and Tyler was super helpful. We rented a surfboard and body board from him for a day and he was very responsive to any questions. The location is perfect—on a quiet street in Playa Guiones but close enough to walk to the beach, all the restaurants/bars and to take the pathway to Playa Pelada. The place had great WiFi and was very comfortable. We will definitely stay again!

My boyfriend Max and I had a great stay in the Kahala Cabinas. The location is walking distance from town and had everything we needed - wifi, AC, and a pool. We were greeted upon arrival and everyone on the property was very friendly. Tyler is a great host and we look forward to staying here again in the future :)

Cute place that had all the essentials. The beds were pristine and the AC powerful! Huge shower as well. Fairly quick walk to cafes and surf rentals. About 10 minutes from the beach.

This is a hidden gem. It’s no frills and basic but it’s quiet and tucked away behind a yoga retreat so there are no loud neighbors. The pool area is very chill and had a fridge to keep food, a spot to cook, and a bar to make drinks. You’re surrounded by tons of trees, birds, monkeys. The walk to the northern beach is about 20 min and the southern side is about 10 min. There is a trail that cuts to the main part of Nosara (to our favorite cafe) right down the street. The walk to the grocery store is about 10 min. We loved staying here!
