Great stay. House is extremely spacious and near all the spots to visit in Merida. We paid for extra daily housekeeping and it was well worth it. House was sparkling clean every day as well as having the dishes washed and table done. Best place to stay in Merida. Worth repeating.

Villa Romantica is a top tier property, a balanced mix of history, comfort, peace and good taste. The pictures fall short to describe the beautiful interiors and exterior spaces. Location was perfect. with many walkable places that are worth visiting. The price is above average but totally worth that extra push. Each or the rooms and the common areas have amazing decorations and provide a unique feeling. The host was responsive and accommodated to our needs, from an early check in due to power outage in the previous property we were to making every possible effort to make sure we enjoyed every bit of the property and the nearby attractions. We were there to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary and our decision to stay at Villa Romantica was woth every penny. I felt like I was jn a premium hotel but also at a close friend's vacation home. Hard to find that balance but we got it. Do not hesitate and book your stay at this amazing place!

We will be back!! We had an amazing time and the home was a dream. We came with 4 little girls and they loved the pool and the ability to stay in a room where they all fit! The recommendations were spot on - especially with Alejandro who pricked us up from the airport and took us out on some excursions - he went above and beyond! We will be back!!!

This was one of the most spectacular homes we have stayed in! Natalie, the host, was a great communicator and provided clear instructions and great recommendations. Check-in was super easy, and the house was clean and ready for us early. The pictures are very faithful to the house, and it is as amazing as it looks. We were there for some pretty hot days, but the interior of the house was comfortable, especially with the pool and very effective bedroom air conditioners. It is in a great location for walking to many fantastic restaurants and shopping. We were easily able to get by without a car. We had a amazing trip to the Cenote Hacienda Mucuyche, driven by a lovely gentleman named Alejandro, recommended by Natalie. He was just great and also took us back to the airport for departure. We also followed the recommendation of our host for a massage from Sandy at the house. She was kind, responsive, and provided a super relaxing experience! If you have a chance to stay here, do!

We so enjoyed our stay at Villa Romantica. We were able to have 3 generations of our family (from across USA) join us here. This home is so beautiful. Imagine 90% of your stay is ‘outside’, the living area, dining room, roof top terrace, and Kitchen are all outside. The only time you are inside is to sleep, and yes you can air condition the 3 bedrooms. You will pay for electric but by air conditioning the bed rooms at night our cost for a week was just over $50. Our day to day host contact was Natalie. She kept in constant contact for any need and also volunteered daily activities going on in Mérida. We found the people of Mérida very polite. We rented a vehicle a large suburban and were always able to find parking close in front of ‘Villa Romantica’ (during peak rental season). We drove to the ruins at Chichen Itza, the beach at Progreso, and the grocery stores. Unless you have a large group (we had 8). Driving in the tight streets of Merida El Centro was a bit stressful.

Beautiful home centrally located, the kids loved the pool! Very comfortable beds! The host is super helpful with recommendations and transportation arrangements. We loved Merida and hope to be back soon!

My family enjoyed the home, specially my boys(8 and 10). It was nice to cool off in the pool after sightseeing in the heat of May. Really enjoyed the how close it was to everything.

We have traveled the world and have stayed in many places, from Airbnbs to luxury hotels. This stunning home is now at the top of our list. It is a tranquil, beautiful and welcoming home in the most ideal location in Mérida. We had visited the city before and knew our way around, so knew that this location was central to everything. If you have never been to the city, look no further, book this place and you will be thrilled with the convenience of exploring all the wonderful offerings of the city while having a secret oasis awaiting you for your siesta. On top of that, these are the most proactive, responsive, warm and personable hosts we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The house gives you a chance to experience what it is really like to live in Mérida. It isn’t your IKEA, cookie-cutter, vanilla place. So much personality and magic.

Within the dozens of Airbnb properties we've visited, this is by far the best. The house is impeccable, full of beautiful touches and very functional ideas to enjoy. Hosts have thought of everything guests could possibly need, down to the last detail. Villa Romantica is a real gem, and she speaks a lot of warm and thoughtful hosts about all the details. We spent a few extraordinary days as a family, with memories we'll never forget. The kids enjoyed the indoor pool, and the adults enjoyed the rest of the house. Natalie and Colum were on the slopes from the first minute to the last, it's more from before our arrival to after our departure. It was a truly wonderful experience. We are very grateful. The house is as a museum of beautiful details, with exceptional lighting, beautiful indoor and outdoor gardens, and full of greatly enjoyable nooks and crannies.

Romance in Centro Historico Merida What a magical villa in a marvelous location. Truly an oasis in the corazon of the centro historico. Romantic, tropical, lush, colonial-period era with Cuban-ish vibes. The open-air space throughout is delightful. Whether lallygagging in the refreshing pool, welcoming a torrential downpour under the eaves of the home on the poolside bed, preparing light bites and drinks in the kitchen area, relaxing in the many sitting areas/ nooks and crannies, enjoying the morning and evenings from the huge rooftop patio. Absolutely dreamy. Such exquisite use of space. I simply didn't want to leave. Artistic touches that tend to the senses in so many ways. Also, like other guests have mentioned, there's a fantastic bakery, Soco, two doors down the street. What a delicious daily treat! Natalie and Colum are wonderfully attentive and thoughtful hosts/owners. If you're considering, look no further. Your oasis and home base in Merida awaits you!

Perfecto!!! The pictures do not do the place justice! Better than expected and we had high expectations! Natalie was extremely and responsive. We have not had a better host with AirBnb. She gave tremendous suggestions of restaurants and activities in Mérida. The bakery two doors down to the right is the perfect breakfast spot. Further, Casa Romantica is in perfect walking location for most places in central Merida. We even found parking for our rental car to be fairly easy on the street in front of the property. Overall, one of our best stays if not the best. We did not want to leave! Well done!

The property was amazing. This was a wonderful experience that surpassed our expectations. Natalie the owner was in touch at every step of our stay. She was responsive, proactive and overall amazing like her home. I wish I was better with words so I could do her justice. Definitely wholeheartedly recommend the experience of this wonderful place.

Villa Romantica was an amazing place to stay for the week we were in Merida. Other than it being 104-106 degrees everything was great. About 3 blocks for Paseo, 3 blocks from the park, 6 blocks or so from central square, everything was easy to walk to. We had a car and found a parking spot on the street and sometimes right in front of the door. 2 doors down was Soco a great bakery, around the corner was Tinoc, a great coffee shop with amazing food. The Bird brewhouse one block away was also nice The kitchen area was amazing, the terrace was great, especially at night to cool off with. Bedrooms were huge, we did not even use the 3rd bedroom upstairs. Would definitely stay in again.

Book this house. Book this house. Merida is an amazing city and staying at Villa Romantica makes it beyond amazing. This house is something out of a dream, it’s so beautiful and grand, peaceful and comfortable… it’s hard to put it into words. Every detail has been thought of, it’s clean, comfortable beds, great water pressure, walkable to great restaurants… there is zero downside, we LOVED our stay. The hosts are always available and they took great care of us. The experience of Villa Romantica is not something I will soon forget, I am grateful to have lived it. SO WONDERFUL!!!!

Villa Romantica is even more beautiful in person. The open air common areas provide a lot of natural sunlight and the pool is a nice welcome to cool off in during hot days. Natalie, who was our main contact, was gracious and welcoming and checked in almost daily notifying us of special events, road closures and would make recommendations. For those traveling with young children, it isn’t a kid friendly home. The stairs are made of some sort of stone and the banister was wide enough for our two 1.5 year olds to fit their heads through. Also the tile around the pool gets wet easily and often with the kids splashing around and my son fell a few times. However, even with these issues, all in all it was a great stay and we would absolutely recommend Villa Romantica.

We enjoyed our stay from the first moment. The house is amazing in design and location. It provides privacy near the old town center and does not get too hot. The roof terrace was delightful at night. A big thank you to the hosts. We will be coming back!

Our family of four has traveled the world staying at AIRBNBs. While I love stylish and pretty homes, my husband wants something comfortable and our kids want something fun. This home 150% checked ALL THE BOXES and absolutely exceeded our expectations. Forget just stunning memorable pics - the hospitality and amenities were next level. Our week at Villa Romántica was a magical experience! The place was unlike anywhere we have ever stayed (or even seen). And Natalie and Colum were the consummate hosts; they checked in with us via text, they offered suggestions for local activities, and they even put us in touch with their incredible driver, Alejandro, who we ended up hiring for two separate day trips and cannot say enough good things about. This home offers so many amazing things. Our favorites include the pool and courtyard, the rooftop deck, and even just sitting and taking in the view of the gorgeous stairs. We hope to someday return to this wonderful place, with its kind and gracious hosts, in a city we loved visiting.

If you are looking to stay in Mérida, this is the place! The home itself is exceptional, from the pool in the courtyard to the rooftop balcony. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and you can easily walk to the main dining and entertaining areas in town. The hosts are welcoming and responsive. This place is awesome, super spacious, quite and relaxing. The house is walking distance to all the downtown and Montejo street bars and attractions. You can grab an excellent unique breakfast the bakery next door and then stat your day. We will definitely be back to this house to keep exploring Merida and just enjoy a full day at the house.

Villa Romantica is without question the perfect place to stay in Merida! You will not find better hosts than Natalie & Colum. Throughout our week long stay, they would send suggestions of places & events to visit. Follow their advice, everything that they suggested was incredible. Carlos and his team manage this property to an impeccable level. The pictures of this place are accurate. The only thing that I would add is that Villa Romantica is even BETTER than the pictures in the listing. We have five children, our oldest is 11. Safety is important to us and this house absolutely met that need. We loved playing cards on the rooftop in the evening, swimming in the pool and lounging by the day bed during the day. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are quiet. We slept great during our stay. The washer and dryer were very helpful and worked perfectly. The location can't be beat. Calle 60, Parque Santa Lucia, Plaza Grande, Paseo Montejo and Parque Santa Ana are all within a 10 min walk. On top of that, a delicious bakery, SOCO, is located two doors down from Villa Romantica. Natalie & Colum suggested that we try it out and we ate there 4 of the 6 mornings during our stay. I cannot say enough positive things about the hosts, city, and our stay at Villa Romantica. Book it--you won't regret it.

CAN I GIVE IT 10 STARS??? This is seriously the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. First of all, it’s situated in an awesome location in walking distance to tons of shops and restaurants. Secondly, the house itself will blow you away - it’s that beautiful and more than enough room for two families with kids. We loved the rooms, pool, and rooftop. We watched hummingbirds up there every morning. Natalie is the absolute most amazing host. She made our visit so comfortable and fun, with all of the conveniences she’s installed in the house like filtered water and iPhone chargers. She provided so many suggestions of things to do - I felt like we had our own private concierge. The only problem is that now I’m ruined and no other Airbnb will ever stack up! Don’t sleep on this one! Xoxo

Everything you’re reading is true! This place is great! I had to reschedule my original dates and the hosts were accommodating! And I’m so glad. We ended up coming for La Noche Blanco a big music and art festival that happens twice a year. It was amazing! The space is exactly as pictured! Clean, well organized and manicured. Very comfortable. Hot showers! The wifi was good though I didn’t work much! There’s plenty of space for folks to spread out and still feel connected. The pool is so refreshing and stays cool even on the hottest days! It’s also amazing when it rains. You can nap and watch the rain fall through the atrium. The hosts are very responsive. They helped us schedule massages, plan a trip to the cenotes which I highly recommend and they even helped us schedule COVID tests even though we moved to another air bnb for the last few days of the trip. Location is amazing. Close to many shops and food! I recommend Oliva Enoteca for your first meal! It’s a close walk from the house and the food and service are terrific! Also the bakery next door has wonderful croissants and I really like the jugó verde! You won’t have any regrets if you stay here!

Hands down the best Airbnb / home we stayed at. Not only because the place was exactly as it looked in the images, but also Carlos and Natalie were very helpful, great at communicating, very caring and kind throughout our stay. The house is in a GREAT location. Close to the markets, the center of the town and during the weekend great location for live shows and bike rides! Everything was by walking distance. The terrace of the house was great to be use during the nights, having a beer in there while watching the moon and stars while listening to live music from a few blocks was amazing. The house was great for us with our 3 kids who loved the pool and also they loved ALEXA! I can highly recommend this house, Carlos and Natalie were amazing hosts and we cannot wait to come back again with our family. Thanks for having us! xx

My family and I visited Merida for five days for a family wedding and stayed at Villa Romantica. It was our first time in Merida and our stay could not have been any better! From the time I booked until the time we left, our host Natalie was amazing. She helped in every way possible, providing recommendations on chefs available to cook at the house, scheduling a masseuse, making restaurant reservations, recommending sites to visit and connecting us with a driver, and scheduling COVID tests before returning home. (I hope I didn't miss anything -- she did a lot!) At every step of the way, Natalie was there to answer any questions and provide information. Each day she sent me at least one tip on things to do, eat, etc. She was even able to help by getting me information on replacing medication a member of our group had lost. All of her recommendations were on point and made our trip even more memorable. She went above and beyond any host I have encountered. I can't say enough good things! But I should also talk about the house. The house itself is beautiful! It is NOT a typical bare-bones rental property with no character. We felt like we had our own private oasis. The front doors of many area houses are very unassuming, so it felt like it was our own secret. The pictures we looked at online when booking were completely accurate. There is a beautiful front room with a TV and pretty furnishings. This room opens to the main part of the house which is the partially open courtyard where the kitchen, dining area, pool, and lounging area are. We spent as much time as possible in this part of the house. We were a party of six, and this area allowed us to be together while still having space. It is beautifully decorated and the many plants give it a relaxing, tropical feel. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need (and then some!) Most helpful of all, all of the cabinets, light switches, etc. are neatly labeled. There are two bedrooms on the main floor with en suite bathrooms and air conditioning. The master bedroom is upstairs and is very large (with two beds) with a large bathroom that incorporates an atrium. The windows of the master bedroom overlook the rooftop terrace. Each room is spacious and beautifully furnished. It was very nice for each couple to have their own bathroom with shower. The rooms had pretty plantation shutters that blocked the light at night and the rooms were quiet. The rooftop terrace is very large and has lounging space in both shade and full sun. It is a beautiful gathering area with hanging lights, a nice view, and a wonderful breeze. Great for having drinks! The shady space has a bar and table and chairs. This can be a nice space to get some work done if you (unfortunately) have to do some. The uncovered sunny area has lounge chairs. The terrace also has beautiful potted flowers and plants that again make it feel like an oasis and not an urban rooftop. There is also a drink refrigerator on this level that may be used. One of our favorite parts of the house was the pool. It is really warm in Merida, so the pool was the best amenity! Even with all of the wedding activities going on, we spent time in the pool every day. I loved that it was in the center courtyard so that we could all be together even if everyone wasn't in the pool. There is a lot of seating near the pool and the two hammocks over the pool were such a cool touch! The location is also great. The house is very near one end of Paseo de Montejo and has good restaurants, bars, and bakeries nearby. Everyone in the neighborhood that we encountered was very friendly and made us feel as if we were new neighbors. We definitely wished that we had been able to spend more time in Merida. We didn't come close to seeing or doing everything that was on our list. If we are able to come back, I would not hesitate to stay at Villa Romantica again. It is a beautiful house with a wonderful host. I will recommend it to everyone!

Gorgeous home!! Just a perfect stay - my favorite air bnb! The roof top deck is spectacular. Nice shaded area too. The pool was perfect for a refreshing dip (doesn’t get as much direct sunlight so stays a perfect temp). Hammocks above the pool & relaxing bed next to it are awesome. (One of our guests slept outside at night because it was so beautiful). With air conditioning the rooms were cool & bedrooms just perfect! Upstairs bedroom has a beautiful bathroom with part of it open to the sky - awesome! The owners & property manager were a pleasure to communicate with. Property manager answered us in minutes for anything we needed & had wonderful local recommendations for our stay. Great location too - wonderful restaurants & shopping nearby. (The bakery just 2 houses down, Soco, is delicious!) Couldn’t ask for a better stay!

We came to Merida for a wedding for 4 days and were intrigued by the photos we saw of the listing. Everything was even better than advertised on the listing. The space is beautiful with lots of lights and plenty of fans to keep the bugs out, and it is in a great central but quiet location. This is one of the few properties in the neighborhood with a rooftop area, and it’s quite large - and we found the pool is nice, big and well-maintained for the area as well. The father of the bride came by and said he wished he stayed here with us instead of his fancy hotel :). Lastly, Carlos and Natalie were very communicative and generous hosts. They sent detailed check-in instructions with videos that were very helpful, helped us coordinate Covid tests and massages that came directly to the property for us, and even left us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. We will absolutely be staying here again should we come back to Merida.

Stay here… Stop looking. you’re wasting your time if you keep scrolling- you will not find anything better. Pictures do not do it justice. Hosts were beyond helpful when needed. Location is ideal. Hosts really thought of every detail- EVERYTHING. Lots of space, super comfy, easy parking- I could go on and on. This is where you want to stay. No brainer. Book it. One thing to note: you do have to pay your own electricity- it was 105 degrees during our stay. We Ran the AC almost all day and night less then $20 a day. So don’t let that be a factor.

This place is out of this world. The outdoor living area is incredible. There are many great restaurants at walking distance. We felt very safe the entire time. Natalie was an amazing host she was available at all hours. She even scheduled our covid test for our flight back. Everything was labeled and easy to find. Only advice I would give is if you have small children be aware that you will need to have eyes on them at all times. Not a bad thing but just something to be aware of. Natalie was very understanding when my son broke something. Which is nice to have a host that gets kids will be kids. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to go to Merida

The reviews don't lie! Natalie's place is gorgeous and every detail is so well thought out. Her communication from the moment we booked through our whole stay was outstanding. She helped with restaurant reservations, local tips and even arranged our covid tests at the house. She was really committed to ensuring we had a great time. our group was constantly saying "what would have this trip been without Natalie?!". Location is also fantastic too - walking distance to lots of restaurants, shops etc. Highly recommend!!! PS Tip - definitely rent a car. there is so much to explore outside of Merida and it's nice to do at your own pace. While the house doesn't have parking, we always found street parking near the house

Absolutely amazing. Perfect location, central but very quiet. Everything is immaculate. What the photos do not show is how comfortable it is. Very helpful owners. They arranged covid tests for us at the house on a Sunday. They also allowed us to drop off our luggage early while the house was being cleaned and allowed us to stay a couple of hours more on the day we left.

This is a magical house. Our daughter having recently seen Encanto claimed it was that house. Even before you arrive the hosts to above and beyond to make your stay magical and make sure every little thing you could need or want is taken care of. They even took care of us at our next house. Service, thoughtful reccs and just kindness! We will be be back and send friends here. The house is stunning but the service even more so. Thank you!!!

WOW!! This house is impressive. Super clean and organized and with the best location in Merida. You will find everything you need and more. The communication with the owners was excellent!!. The house is just a short walk from the Plaza and Paseo Montejo. 2 doors down, you will find a fantastic bakery and breakfast place. Try the almond croissant. It is out of this world. Good restaurant with great tacos right on the corner. We travel worldwide, and this house is definitely on our top list. I cannot wait to come back to Villa Romantica soon

Best Airbnb experience of my life! The house was so much more beautiful than pictures can show. Instructions for checking in were provided and everything inside was labeled for convenience. Every question I had was answered within a few minutes by text. They even took the time to make last-minute reservations for a restaurant nearby! We'll definitely be staying again in the future.

We had such a wonderful visit at Villa Romantica—it is truly beautiful. The house was everything we could have asked for. The Owners were wonderful to communicate with and were very very attentive to our requests. From the Chef Aron and his wife Yesenia who were absolutely amazing and a wealth of local knowledge to Sandra for the massages. Location is easy walking to the center of the city shops, restaurants and parks. Could not have been better...

Absolute wishlist! One of the most beautiful houses we have rented. Similar to a ryad with wooded interior patio, beautiful pool, sublime rooftop. Decorated with great taste and care. Spacious, very well equipped, well located in Merida. Perfect communication with Natalie, taking care of us. We would have extended our stay :)

Wow, what a house. You'll love waking up to such a gorgeous setting. It's also really cool to have an open air section to the living room, such a neat feeling when it rains. The hosts were also very communicative, we got lots of good recommendations from them. The house had everything we would need. Can't think of anything to improve. Highly recommended

When we first stumbled upon this house on AirBnB, it seemed almost too good to be true. There must be a catch! But everything was as perfect as it seemed online. Natalie is the most thoughtful, gracious host. He was always available for any questions. She provided us with all the information we needed before our stay - including instructional videos on how to access the key box and open the antique wooden door. I remember walking into the place and being blown away by the high ceilings and stunning decor. We felt like we were staying in a museum - the architecture, the antique furniture and the stone. The location is incredible. You are walking distance from plaza Sta. Lucia, Plaza Grande and Paseo Montejo - where most museums, cathedrals and restaurants are located. The beds were comfortable. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean. The rooftop terrace was beautiful - we enjoyed doing our daily workout there in the early mornings or late evenings when the temperature was cool. The kitchen was well equipped to prepare all your meals - we made breakfast daily. Natalie had excellent restaurant recommendations and was of great help. She went way beyond to make our long-weekend comfortable and memorable.

This house is really fantastic. It is so clean. So clean that we felt comfortable letting our 11-month baby crawl around. We loved the balance between elegance and modernness. The mattress was so comfortable. My wife has a hard time adjusting to new beds but said she slept amazing being the first night. There is plenty of space for relaxing. We loved getting in the pool each night after a long day out exploring. The lighting is great. There are also plenty of outlets which was convenient for charging electronics at night. There are a bit of mosquitos in the morning and evening in the open air parts, but we never had them in the bedrooms. And a little bug spray kept them off our legs. The location is perfect because you can walk quickly to the central. Communication with the hosts was excellent and they had great suggestions. They even left a few things for us specifically for our baby. We would definite return here.

Wow. Carlos’ house was amazing. It looks even better in person. There were days when I was perfectly fine just relaxing in the air bNb. Check in was very easy and Carlos. Everything that we needed was available. And Carlos was available to answer any questions that I had, and had even given suggestions. I will definitely return!

We were there for a full week and like most other reviewers, our stay was great! Our party consisted of My husband and I, our three grown kids and my Sister-in-law and her husband, and as we sit here writing this review we all couldn't think of any suggestions for improvement, we loved this house! The bakery a couple of doors down was super convenient, the location of the house was the best and jumping in the pool after exploring the city in the very hot July days was beyond fabulous. We fell in love with Merida and with this house.

What a wonderful place and what a wonderful host. My family travels each summer to a new place to experience new cultures and this was a perfect destination for us in Yucatan. Maybe a little too perfect since we didn't want to leave! it's such a secret gem tucked away in the center of Merida. More than enough space for our family of 5, ideal for 3 couples or 2 couple with their children. Every detail of the space was meticulously curated, down to the music playing on the Alexa speaker when we walked into the front door late at night after a long travel day. The lighting in the courtyard around the pool area is just magical. All lights and cupboards are clearly marked which made everything feel familiar and comfortable during our 4 night stay. The location is ideal in Merida, a couple of blocks from the Paseo and a few blocks from the major squares in Merida. We enjoyed biking on the Paseo on Sunday, eating al fresco at Santa Lucia one evening, and enjoying breakfast at Soco each day. We traveled to several close places while there including Uxmal followed by lunch at a Hacienda and the Santa Barbara cenotes and the wonderful small towns we saw en route but our children most enjoyed the time swimming inside this place. During our travels we've experienced a number of places in many countries together and I would rank this experience in Merida at the top of the list.

If Mérida is your destination, Villa Romantica needs to be your accommodation! Everything about my stay here was phenomenal! They helped with the smallest details from local finds to booking my taxi to the airport. This villa is jaw dropping and the decor is second to none! The indoor pool on the hot afternoon was a plus! From communication to creating an easy stress free stay, they surpassed my expectations. I loved being able to walk to parks and dine at the restaurants down the street. Every morning I went to the bakery two doors down for a green juice and croissant. I loved the bread so much I got 3 to take back home with me. I can’t wait to come back and stay again. I appreciate experiencing such a gem in a beautiful city. Thank you all a thousand times!

This place is a gem! This place is located in a very sought after neighborhood of Santa Lucia. It is within walking distance of many restaurants and bars. The house is not only beautiful and well-kept but also offers an enormous amount of colonial charm. This place is located in Santa Lucia but is also in walking distance to Santa Ana and the Plaza Grande. Most definitely a 5 star place.

Our group of 4 had an amazing time at Villa Romantica, as others have said pictures don't do this place justice , it is simply spectacular. We are also airbnb hosts in California and Natalie went above and beyond normal host duties, she was the most helpful host we have come across. As for the Villa we were only 4 but could easily fit 8 comfortably. Ample amenities, AC in bedrooms, awesome pool with day bed made a perfect place to relax and enjoy time with our friends. Walking distance to almost anything you want to do in Merida. Highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed.

Wow wow wow. I’ve stayed in five star accommodations all over the globe and this was my favorite place I’ve ever had the pleasure of staying in. Every tiny detail of the house is art and has evident care poured into it. The pool and the kitchen and the rooftop deck and each bedroom- all so lovely. They all add up to quite an experience. From the super communication all the way through (including a lovely personalized welcome note and great recommendations), to incredible attention to detail in providing every possible amenity, to the most relaxing and beautiful environment, every moment was a joy. We felt it as a gift to have the opportunity to stay here. And it’s two doors down from an incredible bakery! It’s convenient to everything and so many awesome restaurants are walkable. Definitely don’t hesitate to stay at Villa Romántica should you ever get the chance.

One word: wow! From the moment you walk thru the front doors, all the way to the magnificent rooftop terrace, that's all you can say: wow! Every detail is considered in every aspect of the house. From lovely, thick bath towels to complete a complete kitchen experience to beautiful design elements throughout - everything is considered. Natalie is fantastic. She's extremely communicative and attentive. Everything is within easy walking distance or, if you prefer, a quick $1-$2 taxi ride away. If you're looking for an extraordinary Airbnb experience, look no more. You'll love it.

Villa Romantica is an incredible place. The place was clean and absolutely gorgeous. The hosts are very organized and helpful. They had a list of attractions and restaurants and kept in touch with us to make sure we were taken care of the entire time. Villa Romantica is on our short list of incredible locations to which we will surely return in the future.

This place was just the most magical place you can ever imagine. The pictures do not do Justice and the hospitality is beyond and above. The house is set up with absolutely everything you would ever need. We would be surprised again and again about how thoughtful and detail oriented these host were. We do travel a lot internationally and i can tell you ands down this was one the best places we have ever stayed at PERIOD!

We are a family of 4 that were unable to fly home during the lockdown and this was our last stay in Mexico. The house is beautiful and decorated so well. What a beautiful place! This is a house full of charm, an oasis of tranquility and freshness where it's good to recharge your batteries after a day of sightseeing under the Merida sun. The pictures, while very beautiful, do not do justice at home: high ceilings, breeze in the inner courtyard, romantic night atmosphere, soothing greenery. All areas are conducive to relaxation and sharing beautiful moments. An unforgettable experience!

Clean, comfortable, charming colonial home. Natalie is super communicative and helpful. Great location, fabulous top deck. Chef Aron prepared an incredible dinner at the house - so delicious and fun. Only issue is that kitchen and dining room are open to the outdoors so mosquitoes can be a real problem.

A wonderful home with a great design. While it is hot in the street, the home has cool outdoor rooms with high ceilings by the pool. Communication clear and prompt.

First of all, the communication from Natalie and Carlos was prompt and very helpful. The house was fabulous and the location couldn’t be better. The house was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. Natalie offered many tips for sights to visit and answered all of our questions. She helped us arrange a special dinner and Aron created a very special menu that was the highlight of our stay. He is the best!!! Merida is very clean and safe. The weather was perfect and coming back to a beautiful house made our vacation a trip to cherish. We would highly recommend Villa Romantica, Natalie, Aron, and Merida if you want an experience worth every penny!!!

This is the BEST house. Seriously, we travel a lot and we've never stayed in a more beautiful, comfortable, well-located home. Every design touch is lovely and sophisticated but not fussy. All three bedrooms are spacious, the beds are fabulous, and we had everything we could possibly need. The location is PERFECT. The POOL, ohhhhhh, we'll miss that for sure. And Natalie is the BEST host. Her instructions were perfectly clear, she checked on us frequently, and offered up great suggestions for fun things to do. When we had a minor issue, she responded immediately and we easily resolved it together. Merida is a lovely, warm, easy city and we found lots to do. We loved the bakery a few doors away, and the reference to the best driver ever (Alejandro's Yucatan Driving Services on Facebook) who took us on delightful day trips to nearby towns and ruins. It would take me an hour to list all the great qualities of this house and the fun we had. Just trust me, you'll love it.

Hands down, the best Airbnb I have ever stayed at. I addition the location is very central and walking distance from many great museums and restaurants. Natalie was accommodating and quick to reply throughout our trip. We will certainly rent it out again when we return.

This home is even more gorgeous than the photos! The furnishings, the decor, the plants, the pool, the view from the rooftop patio... We wished we had more days so we could just hang out here. Or move in permanently! It is very centrally located, with lots of great restaurants within a 4-10 minute walk. There is a delicious bakery/breakfast place two doors down called Soco, that we visited twice. Natalie was in touch by text daily to give local tips and resources (including a recommendation for a driver for day trips), and check in to see how everything was going. She even arranged a cake for my birthday, which was delicious! Her hospitality was excellent. We had all the amenities we needed, including umbrellas, hats, and pool towels. The bathrooms were stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion. The beds were very comfortable. There was a detailed notebook telling us everything we needed to know about the house. We received an email and text in advance with instructions and videos on how to unlock the key box and the house. We loved Villa Romantica and can't wait to go back!

Wow! From the photos on the web site, we were anticipating that this would be a pretty special place to stay. When we arrived, the actual space was even better than we could have imagined. Well-equipped, spacious, airy, and with comfortable common spaces for hanging out, the villa became our group's oasis after days out exploring the city and taking excursions out of town. The three bedrooms, each with a spacious private bathroom, were comfortable and clean. We appreciated that liquid soaps and shampoo were provided. The decor was thematically appropriate and inviting. We especially enjoyed the rooftop patio area. Its seating spaces and afternoon breezes made it a perfect spot for happy hours and conversation. And the indoor pool under an atrium opening to the sky provided a beautiful place to cool off and relax. Also, the owners responded quickly when we had questions, and they provided helpful information about the city and things to do. We highly recommend the Villa!

We had a wonderful stay in Merida. The owner of the property was very responsive to all of our inquiries. The house is great for a group of six and is beautifully decorated. We very much enjoyed the indoor/outdoor living areas! The house is within walking distance to the main square, many restaurants, and the bakery two doors down is great! We ended up getting lattes and pastries at the bakery most mornings. We would definitely stay at this property again.

This property and its hosts are a vacation dream come true. The property is absolutely gorgeous and well provisioned for a care-free stay. The house has clean drinking water plumbed in which is a huge bonus, and a large kitchen with a separate wine fridge. If you need or want the space there is also another fridge upstairs. The house is EXACTLY as you see it in the photos, only even better in real life. There are no unpleasant surprises, only a truly magical escape. The location is perfect, walking distance to restaurants and the sights, but if you want to go to other parts of the city both Uber and taxis are easy to find and use. The hosts are responsive, thoughtful, and kind. I have only good things to say about this house and these hosts. The house is everything you would expect and more, it is perfect! We were traveling with an 8-year-old and had worries about the rooftop patio but the house was very child-friendly. The city and the neighbourhood are incredibly safe and the people are very nice. Our time at Villa Romantica sits at the top of my list of best vacation memories, and I can't wait to go back to it and to Merida. We went as a family but this house is, as the name suggests, a very romantic escape. Next time we may leave the family behind and visit as a couple. I could see this house being the perfect honeymoon or anniversary retreat. The hosts have left a lot of great information about things to do and see in the area. I highly recommend the house and its hosts.
