A very nice villa with lovely views. Because of this, it's up a steep road, but with a 4x4 it's fine. Had a great stay!

We had an absolutely wonderful time! Casa Colibri is beautiful! The concierge service was very helpful for planning our trip and made us feel welcome. The view is amazing and the house is very comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again and wish we had more time! Thank you!!
The property is genuinely lovely — just as pictured, with a stunning view, beautiful pool, and comfortable outdoor area. Great A/C and a relaxing spot overall. That said, our first night was rough. A storm triggered a series of issues: the roof leaked in four spots, electricity went out repeatedly, and a backup battery alarm went off but couldn't be silenced as it was locked in the owner's closet. A sliding door panel had also lost a screw, letting in bugs — and the emergency lantern wasn't charged since one outlet wasn't working. To their credit, the team was responsive. Marta came to handle the alarm (which triggered two more times), and Annabelle arranged workmen the next day to fix the roof and door. The property has a lot going for it and the hosts clearly care — we'd just recommend a thorough maintenance check between guests so future visitors can enjoy it without the rocky start we had.

Our family of four enjoyed our stay so much and did not want to leave. The outdoor area was beautiful and all of the rooms were clean and spacious. Check-in and check-out were very easy with great communication.
I’ve had this house saved for the last year. I’m so happy I finally decided to see if the pics were truly that beautiful in real life. It did not disappoint. Monkeys, parrots, more hummingbirds than you can count. It’s beautiful inside and out. Book IT!

We stayed in late May with our two adult sons. The location was ideal and close to town, but quiet and peaceful. The outdoor patio is beautiful with stunning views. Our host Lucia was responsive and met us upon check-in. We all slept well in the comfortable beds. The home looks exactly as pictured in the photos and the kitchen is amazingly equipped with everything you need to cook. Our only issue was the stove gas ran out mid-breakfast one morning and unfortunately we lost some of our food. Lucia immediately ordered more gas and it was filled within an hour and we had no more issues. Our sons enjoyed all the crabs on the patio. Highly recommend this property!

Beautiful casa with a stunning ocean view. It’s perfectly located—close to the beach, restaurants, and shops—yet still quiet and private, nestled in the hills above Santa Teresa. We truly enjoyed our stay at Casa Colibri and would absolutely recommend it.

Stayed for a week and wish we could have extended our trip! This villa was honestly one of the best parts of my group’s trip to Santa Teresa! Also, the security guard at the front gates were always so kind. I would definitely return :)
We just returned for from 9 days in Nosara. The first half of the trip we stayed at a high end hotel, the second half we rented Marcel's home. Our time at Marcel's was incredible. The house is exactly as described and photographed. The house was extremely peaceful, with INCREDIBLE views. Annabelle was fantastic in helping us check-in and out. We visited the house with our two kids (9 and 11) and invited my brother to stay with us. The property functioned perfectly for us, the separate bedroom / guest house worked perfectly for my brother and our family was more than comfortable in the main house. We have barely been home a day and are already looking at dates to stay the house next year!
