We had an absolutely incredible stay at this beautiful private home in Sayulitas, Mexico. The house is perched right by the ocean, offering stunning views that took our breath away every morning. The attention to detail in the décor made it feel like a relaxing paradise, and every aspect of the home was thoughtfully arranged. Our host Sharlene and the local point of contact, Omar, were fantastic. They made everything seamless, including arranging transport from the airport. They were incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay. Honestly, everything was perfect—we can’t wait to come back for another unforgettable visit!

My wife and I had a great time at Casa del Rey Dormido. Sharlene was very responsive and answered all of our questions thoroughly and promptly. Omar was also very helpful with our check in and gave us great local recommendations. The house was very beautiful, clean, comfortable and had an amazing location. We absolutely loved the pool and the private beach right below. We hope to be back soon.

This place truly is breathtaking and actually looks like the pictures, if not better. The home is well maintained, clean, and has thoughtful touches to make it look and feel nice. Beds were comfortable and AC was perfect to help sleep on the hot nights. The pool was absolute perfection. Clean and saltwater so didn't affect our skin or clothes after hours of swimming. Stunning view and ocean sounds and the sunset was right in front of us every night. The location is a bit out of the way of downtown or any food/markets, so I do highly recommend the golf cart. The ride is gorgeous through the jungle but it can be steep, so having to walk it multiple times a day would not be ideal. Omar was very helpful and kind, and made us feel at home. We had a wonderful time and hope to be back before too long.

This place was better in real life than the pictures. The outdoor space is amazing and the views are breathtaking. The pool is fantastic. Kitchen is stocked. Quick golf cart ride gets you to town or beach. Omar and Sharlene were so responsive and helpful, was great to know there was someone to contact if we needed anything!

First off-the VIEW IS UNBELIEVABLE!!! The house is great, exactly as described. Clean, well stocked kitchen. OMAR was also amazing and took fantastic care of us!! Communication was also great! Use the car service from them-fantastic service! The only complaint was the stove would not heat up and the AC in the main part of the house was not very strong. Bedrooms stayed pretty cool if the doors stay shut. We will definitely come back again!!
Host Response
Thank you for your review Tammera. I tested both ac units after your departure this morning and they were working fine , about the oven , when I came over to look at it a couple days ago , your husband said he had figured it out and that it was working already . Regardless , we will get a professional look at it and do the necessary tests for it’s ideal functioning .

We loved our stay. The view is unbeatable. We liked being away from the nightlife, but such an easy gold cart ride into town. The stairs the private beach were definitely a little difficult, but can't beat the privacy.

Casa Del Rey Dormido exceeded our wildest expectations. The photos represent the villa perfectly, but its charm still can’t be translated perfectly in photos. The experience of renting from the owner and property manager was seamless and easy. The proximity to Sayulita and privacy within the jungle is beyond perfect.

Such a beautiful home in Sayulita. Our family enjoyed the secluded location and beautiful views. We rented the golf cart from Sharlene and so glad we did. The golf cart made it easier to get into town. Sharlene and Omar were both helpful and responsive to all our questions while we were planning our trip and during our trip.

My family and I cannot say enough about our trip to Sayulita and Sharlene's home! We didn't want to leave! We are a family of 6: my husband and I plus our two grown sons and their significant others. We spent 7 nights in Sayulita. The home is breathtakingly gorgeous and had everything we needed. We arrived/left at different times at the PV airport and Omar scheduled two cars to pick us/take us back (be sure to stop at the large grocery store on the way to the house) and he also arranged a ride for us on another day to San Pancho. The beach below the house is accessible, gorgeous and quiet. Omar put us in touch with Martin the chef and we hired him to come do a tequila tasting one day and cook us dinner for us on our last day. We would highly recommend him. We rented golf carts that got us quickly into downtown Sayulita and to the north end. All in all, it was the BEST vacation and we CAN"T WAIT to go back. Thank you Sharlene and Omar for a fantastic trip!!

Our stay was truly perfect--the space was bright and open and we loved the views from morning to night--and the walk down to the beach was a great start to each day. Omar was wonderful and helpful and the cleaning crew kept everything tidy and neat and made our stay one of the best we've had in decades. Truly a one of a kind property and we've already booked for next year!

This place as so beautiful and amazing! We loved waking up to such a gorgeous ocean and beach view and sipping coffee at the pool and making and eating in the open kitchen and patio area. The place was clean and the beds were all really comfortable. We did not want to leave. As mentioned in the other reviews, a golf cart was a fun adventure and highly recommended. Sharlene and Omar were very helpful and responsive hosts. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Absolutely 10 stars. Morning coffee on the edge of the ocean, days watching endless nature at play, whale watching from the pool, insane sunsets on a seriously quiet beach, and dinner under the stars - like come on?!! The sound of the waves and total privacy instantly relax you. This special home isn’t just a rental, it’s totally an experience. An incredibly peaceful, perfectly located slice of paradise - luxurious yet completely comfortable. Our host Omar was phenomenal. Always responsive, so helpful, and just an awesome human! He even took my husband on an amazing hike! For sure use all of his recommendations: smooth airport pickup with a grocery stop, Chef Martín for a gorgeous meal at home, massages on the patio, boating for sure and yes to a golf cart. Every detail made our stay unforgettable. Million-dollar views + stunning beach at your doorstep + Omar’s hospitality = total win. We can’t wait to return. Thank you Sharlene and fam for sharing this magical corner of the world!

Omar was the best!!! He helped to orchestrate a flawless vacation in a magical place. From organizing and getting our family with tons of luggage from the resort in Peurta Vallarta to Sayulita, to the golf carts waiting at the house, Chef Martin for Thanksgiving dinner and texting to help us find ATM machines—if you find a working one get cash. The setting is amazing, the salt water infinity pool is fabulous and we loved our stay. You need golf carts!!! What an adventure to drive our golf carts through the jungle to the seaside town of Sayulita. Our 20 something kids did a whale watching trip and the photos are insane. Truly a vacation to remember.

A visit to another world for us. We don't commute through the jungle in golf carts or shoo little crabs out of the way at our house. We don't have a pool perched over the Pacific we can plunge into day or night that is the perfect temperature. We don't have Omar around to tell us where to go or who to talk to plan your day. Sharlene was immediately responsive and helpful right from the start. It's not fair we have to return to the real world after only a week

We had an amazing stay at Casa Del Ray Dormido! It’s in a perfect spot with gorgeous views and just steps from a quiet, almost private beach. The pool was great for relaxing and watching the sunset while we had drinks. Omar was extremely helpful and attentive —he even arranged medicine delivery when I wasn’t feeling well one of the days we were there. Omar was probably the best host we have ever had with Airbnb and he even helped arrange a celebration for a birthday party and a private chef for one of the nights we were there. The Starlink internet was super fast and reliable, and our Verizon and T-Mobile phones worked perfectly at the house. Highly recommend this spot!

Pictures and words can’t do justice to the views. Just unbelievable. It felt like you are at the end of the world. Definitely recommend having a golf cart (side by side even better) to get back and forth from town. We typically stay right on the beach in town but this place has me rethinking all of my previous choices. We will be back!

Sharlene's home is stunningly beautiful. It was precisely as described and even better. Highlights were the pool, the outdoor sofa, the linens, the birds, the beach... I could go on and on. The only lowlight was a problem with the power, however, it was quickly resolved. Omar is very responsive and was there to take care of any issues that arose. Tips! A golf cart is essential! We used Goby's (per Omar's recommendation), and the cart was terrific. Sayulita is absolutely adorable too. Can't wait to go back!

This place was amazing!! We have stayed at Airbnbs around the globe and this is one of our favorites. Plenty of space for our family of seven. The pictures just don’t do it justice. The views are amazing and the house is very private. The steps to the beach are well maintained, even our 4yo managed them just fine. Being one of the only houses on the beach, it felt like it was our own most days. Omar was a great help from check-in to checkout. If you want to arrange airport transportation, do an activity, rent a golf cart (definitely recommend), or have a private chef he knows someone for the job. Very responsive and eager to make our vacation it’s best.

“No way! No. Way.” I kept repeating to myself when I arrived and took in the view from the backyard. This home is a jewel on the peak of paradise. Each sunrise and sunset was exquisite as was the fact that we could enjoy them while dining, lounging on the giant outdoor sofa or relaxing in the pool. What else to love about the home: very private, nice decor, garden is lovely with plentiful birds and trees. Lots of lounge chairs, a yoga mat for your sun salutation, and everything you need to prepare food in the kitchen. Omar set us up with several local recommendations (hiking or surfing guide, boat tour or land activities like horseback). Our favorite was chef Martin who prepared dinner for our family at the house and taught me the recipes. It’s not for everyone. The beach steps and boulders below them aren’t bad but would be with small kids or anyone less than stable. You’ve got to use a lidded wastebasket instead of flushing your toilet paper. Small price to pay for such bliss!

Lovely house on a hilltop overlooking the ocean. The sunsets can't be beat, and great restaurants are about a 20 minute walk away into town over a cobblestoned street. Sayulita is great for surfers and families. if you're staying in town you don't really need a car, but could get a golf cart if you don't always want to hoof it up the hill on foot. Well-cared for house with an attention property manager (Omar) in town who always got back to us within the hour. Beds were quite firm, appliances worked perfectly. Our kids quickly got used to placed toilet paper in the wastebaskets rather than the loo to prevent problems with the septic tank. Expansive patio, lovely pool, and about a 3 minute walk down some steep but well-kept stairs to the beach below, which was somehow very nearly deserted throughout spring break week, likely because it's otherwise off the beaten path.

Our stay at Casa Del Rey Dormido was amazing! The pictures don’t do justice..the view is breathtaking! The sunsets are beautiful and we have been lucky to see whales every day! The outdoor space is so great and relaxing, and the infinite pool is awesome. The house itself has a lot of charm and is very well equipped. It has all the comfort you need. All the staff is taking great care of the place and Omar was always very responsive when we had questions. One week wasn’t enough. We will come back!

This was perfect for our group of seven, with one guest sleeping on the futon in the Casita. The kitchen was super well equipped with anything you may need for cooking and eating, and it was great to be able to drink from the filtered water system they've set up with the sink. The pictures of the views (and whole house) don't even do it justice, and the sunsets are absolutely stunning from the pool and patio. We used a golf cart for three of our five days, which was just the right amount of time as the walk is manageable but not really one you want to make every day, and definitely not multiple times a day. Sharlene and Omar were both extremely responsive and helpful before, during, and after our stay. Would definitely stay here again, and recommend to anyone planning to visit Sayulita!

Peacefull wonderful panoramic view of the Pacific, and very private. Good to have a golf cart to travel to town and be mobile. Sayulita is a very fun and active beach town. Nice beach, easy to walk around town and plenty to see and do. Omar was a great manager who clearly went through instructions of locks, security system, house operations. He also arranged our golf cart, and airport shuttles. Both were great and arrived on time.

A stunningly beautiful spot for a hot holiday. It is even better than the pictures. You can take in the breathtaking views from inside, outside on the shady patio, and even from the infinity pool that looks over the ocean. The outdoor shady zone with an extremely comfy lounger couch was the best spot to enjoy the day with our young families. Pool was perfect temperature to be used morning, day, and night. Stairs down to the beach are a workout but so worth it. The beach below is basically private with fun waves to swim in and waves big enough for surfers. Sharlene and Omar were very helpful and super quick to get back to us when we had questions. Felt safe and happy in this ocean oasis. We definitely want to return someday!

The most exquisite of secluded homes, way up above the ocean in the jungle. We were able to see wildlife, small, on the grounds. It was spotless, with every single attention to detail obvious without feeling fragile. It was the most wonderful vacation ever Omar made everything perfect and easy. We hope to return.

We loved the views and the location. Very safe, very private. Your own steps -230 of them- down to a semi private beach mostly only used by locals and fishermen- no vendors or mass people- we loved that. This is the jungle so once we got used to checking for critters, it felt like home. Filtered water for drinking was a huge plus! Infinity pool was amazing and the sunsets were spectacular. The giant brick patio allowed various breathtaking views. The only thing to make it even better outside when it’s humid would have been fans on the covered patio ceiling, but we did go in august the hottest time of year. We got some great lightning shows at night. The wildlife flora and fauna were unbelievable. Highly recommend having a golf cart for going to town - jungle trail and main cobblestone road are both fun to drive. All of Omar’s local recommendations were spot on. Don Padro’s and Capitan Pablo for coconut shrimp and fishing were our favorites. We can’t wait to come back!

The place is very nice and comfortable. Communication was very good and they were attentive to our needs. The only thing is that in the small house you don't have to turn on the outside light because many insects come together and it doesn't close the mosquito net well, but not turning on the light resolves. Everything was excellent, we had a great time!

This house was perfect for our needs. The pictures don't do it justice. The views are spectacular and the set up for outdoor eating and relaxing was so much fun for those of us who live in the North. We spent hours in the swimming pool and really enjoyed the scenery and exercise from climbing up and down the stairs to the beach. The sound of the waves crashing below completes the experience. The location was perfect, away from the busy and crowded town, yet close enough for easy access. All of us were sad to leave to return home! Omar was very helpful and responded quickly to our questions. We were also pleased that we took his recommendation and ordered a meal prepared by Chef Martin.

This place is far more beautiful than the photos - truly. The sound of the waves crashing was magical and a 24/7 soundtrack. It is a perfect spot - we hope to return someday.

Sharlene's house is perfection! We had a wonderful stay. The location and view are amazing, and the space feels like home -- well, home if you are a very lucky person. The furniture is comfortable, the kitchen well-stocked, everything works and is as advertised - this is one of the rare airbnbs that is even better in person than photographs. (In fact, if you google the beach below the house, you'll see the image is taken from the Sharlene's deck- it's a truly magnificent view). The private-ish beach is a delight, and a different world from the main Sayulita beach- the stairs are no joke but not as bad as you think. Not well suited for children under 10 or the elderly given the stairs. Definitely have a car or golf cart- basically just follow all of Omar's wonderful advice! 11/10, would absolutely love to stay again.

Such an amazing house overlooking a secluded beach. Everything you need is provided. Omar is super attentive during your stay and always responsive. I'd recommend a golf cart for quick trips into the Sayulita but we walked it every day as well. The house is peaceful, the pool has the best view and overall I would highly recommend this home. This year we intentionally booked during the whale season and loved the extra surprises in the distance.... Thanks for a great stay!

Incredible! This house is an incredible find in Sayulita that I would highly recommend. The highlights are the amazing ocean views, an accessible and secluded beach with very few people around, a clean private pool, and the house overall is very clean with super cool decor. The bedrooms are large, temperature controlled and comfortable, the back porch super comfortable especially in inclement weather. We rented a golf cart for the week which is always great for just cruising into town for dinner or to other beaches with chairs to rent (Playa Los Muertos is great), although of course there are more people around. The hosts were great for providing local recommendations as well for other services that we took advantage of such as masseuses and chefs. If you're looking for a quiet house away from town, with a private pool, and ocean views with very close access to a beach than I would highly recommend booking.

Sharlene’s Cliff-side home was nothing short of magical! It gave me, my girlfriend and her best friend the perfect birthday get-away we were looking for! Omar (the co-host) was so helpful and arranged our transportation to/from the airport as well as a golf cart to get to/from the town about 10 min away. The pool was amazing, the house and decor were so well designed, and we had everything we needed + more! The crown jewel was the private staircase down to the ocean, we felt like we were living in a dream!

We had a super relaxing week at Casa Del Rey Dormido. The location is spectacular, with unobstructed views of the beach and the ocean. The walk to the secluded beach is about 240 well-maintained but rather steep steps without railings. The saltwater infinity pool was a real treat! The house is about a mile from Sayulita on narrow roads through the jungle. We rented a golf cart rather than walking in the heat. Sayulita is a quaint town with lots of gift stores and restaurants. Next time we will bring more cash as most of the vendors do not except credit cards, and we had trouble finding a functioning cash machine in the town. The house itself was comfortable, air-conditioned, and well appointed, exactly as the photos show. It is not connected to municipal water or sewage. We were asked to be mindful of sensitive plumbing and conserve water given an ongoing drought, which we found a very reasonable request. We would happily return again!

This place was so much more beautiful than the photos. We brought a baby and had an amazing time. It’s really quick and easy with a golf cart into town. The rooms were peaceful and cleaning 2 x a week was so helpful. The pool was amazing as was the view. Helpful notes- needs an updated laundry machine as it stopped working while we were there. Also, there were a few scorpions we found in our bedroom which concerned us with the baby sleeping in there but not sure what you can do about that! Mostly, it was an amazing stay and would love to stay there again.

My husband and I rented a golf cart in town before checking in. We had difficulty finding the house. My daughters however took an Uber from the airport and they were able to find it with no issues. So maybe it was an old age issue for us? Anyhow, we enjoyed our time at the house and the views are amazing!

This place is absolutely amazing! Me and my partner and his mom stayed here for a week and we didn’t want to leave. Omar went above and beyond and was amazing! Sharlene answered all our questions and was awesome as well! Omar set us up with who to contact for transportation from the airport and also a local taxi for our excursions. He also recommended someone to rent the golf carts off of. They delivered the golf cart right to the door and picked it up at the end of the trip. It took about 5 minutes to get to town but there was always so much to see while driving. Omar recommended private chef Daniel who we had cook us breakfast and supper. Daniel was very nice and cooked amazing food. The house was awesome and had everything that we could need! We loved the beach as it was quiet and barely anyone on it. Overall this has been one of our best trips to Mexico and we are planning on coming back here again.

This was my second stay and I loved the trip even better this time. The home is simple, straight forward. No clutter and stocked with all the essentials. Amazing view, great windows, outdoor living spaces, pool. Such a great beach house. Absolute paradise. Couldn't ask for better views and location — perfectly quiet and peaceful, yet 5 minutes by golf cart from downtown Sayulita. Omar and Sharlene were very responsive and polite. Omar even went out of his way to help with our airport transportation when (we thought) we had a problem. Best possible experience for our first international trip with three young kids. Omar the house manager was great to work with, helped set up our transportation and golf cart rental as well as meeting up with our group for both check in and checkout. The house was all we expected and more. The views from the patio were amazing! We saw whales and dolphins, the most amazing sunsets, and a million stars from there! The infinity pool was also awesome! We had previously been to Puerto Vallarta and were lucky enough to connect with ChefEduardo Fernandez. We were blessed again to have him cook for us twice on this trip. Could not recommend him more. The beach at the bottom of the stairs is amazing and most of the time we had it to ourselves! The walk up and down will not be for everyone, but it is totally worth the effort! We spent another day at Los Muertos beach which was also lovely and less populated than the beaches in Sayulita. Shout out to Effren who supplied us with chairs, umbrellas, cold beers and snacks. We are asked there from the Villa in about 30 minutes.

I can’t say enough about the beauty of this location and the absolutely amazing communication that came along with having Omar as a house host. He was able to hook us up with all the right people and companies to make our trip hassle free and wonderful. I was told by many locals that this is simply the BEST Air BnB house in the area and our family plans to return annually as long as this gem doesn’t get booked up too quickly. Thanks for a great trip!!

This was one of the nicest AirBnB’s we have stayed at! It was perfect for our family of four with two teenagers. Note that one of the three rooms is in a separate building, which would not work for families with younger children. Be prepared for the squeaking geckos at night and for sharing your bathroom with cute crabs and critters 😊. Nothing scary The kitchen is very well appointed, with everything we needed for cooking, and an incredible view. We hired a private chef for two evenings, who provided cooking classes while making our dinner, which was a much quieter experience than eating at restaurants in sayulita. We also had some great restaurant meals during the week. The outdoor living space is huge and there was a perfect shaded area for private yoga classes with a view and the sound of waves. We rented a golf cart, which I think is a must, as it would be a very long and hilly walk every day to sayulita. Parking is limited in the center of town, and there are several one way streets. Given the cobblestone and dirt trail along with steep hills, cycling would be very difficult. However, we ran every day while we were there and it was perfect for that! We then took the golf cart in to surf every afternoon Lastly, the beach that we could access from the very long flight of stairs was incredibly beautiful and quiet!

We hardly left the house only to buy fresh fish at the mercado del mar and every day we swam a couple of times in the sea and did yoga outside on the patio over looking the jungle . The location is so secluded and lush . We loved and appreciated every minute . Thank you 🙏🏼

This was a great house for our week in Sayulita. The views are phenomenal. The house is very private and so is the beach. We were able to sit in the pool and watch dolphins play on a few different occasions. It’s a quick jaunt to town on a golf cart. The host Omar was great, he gave us a quick run down of the house and was also available by phone if we needed anything or had questions. Would 100% stay here again.

Sharlene's La Casa del Rey Dormido is simply paradise. I don't want to repeat what other guests have said. This place is paradise and the local host Omar is simply the best. I'd recommend to have a car to have the possibility to explore the wonderful towns nearby with absolutely wonderful restaurants. Also, do consider bringing mask/snorkel/fins. After a short swim past where the waves break, there are rocks where you can see lots of life. Can't wait to be back! Thanks Sharlene!!!

This property exceeded expectations. The ocean view was incredible, private access to the beach a plus, and a beautiful pool to enjoy being outside. The house was very clean, well thought out and stocked. So many rentals have decor covering every surface….not here. Everything was tasteful and let the location/view be the star. The home is set away from Sayulita only a few minutes drive from the central square. I really enjoyed being away from the activity and only traveling when I needed something or to meet friends. The owner was responsive and her team in Sayulita were on top of everything. I can’t wait to return……

We visited Sayulita to coincide with a bachelorette trip arranged for my eldest daughter by her little sister and some girlfriends. The 5 "younsters" stayed in town and we 3 older ladies opted for the quiet serenity of Casa del Rey Dormido! What a great decision that was! The house would comfortably sleep 7 but it was just the 3 of us, each having our own room. We hosted a nice sunset dinner for 8 on our patio for the group and they enjoyed the pool. We even watched the lunar eclipse from the wonderful deck off the casita. What a memorable time it was. We hope to return and I'll bring my husband-he was a bit jealous when he saw photos of the place. Yes, the pool really is THAT AMAZING!

Everything was great – the place, Omar, Sharlene, etc. - Pictures (especially of the rooms) don’t do it justice – place is amazing - Beach is super private – on average a handful of other people. Nice break from the beach in town, which is a fun atmosphere with good beginner surfing/rentals/food/drinks, but you’ll be asked to buy something every 2 minutes and you need to pay to sit in chairs/umbrellas. - The steps to the beach aren’t bad at all - Pool is regularly cleaned and very refreshing - The jungle cart ride is the way to go – quite fun, but do it the first time during the day with google maps open until turns memorized - Communication from Omar and Sharlene both great - We didn’t have a great experience with Roy’s golf cart rental. The cart was fine, but the owner was rude. We sent a deposit upon booking and paid cash in-full upon pickup as expected, but we were not told they would also need an additional 15,000 peso damage deposit at pickup. When we questioned it, the owner lost it and walked away. Was super rude. His assistant had to take over. - Wouldn’t bring older grandparents or kids under 5, given the number of steps and bumpy jungle cart ride into town.

Wow!! Came here for a girls trip for my birthday and did not want to leave at the end of my stay! You are close enough to town for easy golf cart rides for food but far enough away where you can only hear the ocean waves breaking below. It was just as advertised and absolutely will be back! Thank you for having us

This place is truly breathtaking. The house is beautifully decorated and clean, and the outdoor area and pool feel like pure luxury. You'll never get tired of the view of the beach! The location is also perfect. Just outside of town, you're in your own private paradise in the jungle. I definitely recommend a golf cart rental - it's so fun, and makes the back and forth to town very easy. Sharlene and Omar were incredible hosts. We were able to contact Omar with questions and concerns and he was responsive and promptly helpful. We had a wonderful and love overdue vacation at Casa del Rey Dormido!

A beautiful location for a relaxing holiday. A semi-private beach, infinity pool and generally a well equipped and managed villa with a shy resident iguana appearing on the grounds occasionally. Great communications and recommendations from the manager and very safe surroundings. Hire a golf cart into town for extra convenience. Hoping to be back one day!

This stay exceeded our expectations! The house was beautiful and the views were incredible. We had a blast. Highly recommend. Friendly note - the house has its beautiful views because of its location, and its location means you'll be seeing creatures in and around the house (land crabs, geckos, iguanas, etc.).

Wow. This place is stunning. If you want to spend time away from the hustle and bustle, this is it. The wildlife is beautiful, and the pictures of the house, though good, don’t do it justice. It might be hard for you to find it initially, so best to show up during daylight. However Omar will make sure you can find it! Omar was so friendly and communicative. He helped us find the place and stayed in touch with my group while I was in the hospital. I was unfortunately only able to enjoy the house for a few hours before coming down sick, and Omar was a good contact to run questions by and get recommendations for medical assistance. He also kept in touch with the rest of my group to make sure everyone had everything they needed, including some great recommendations for restaurants. I think you’ll be happy if you have a private chef for a night or two while you are there. It’s just so beautiful! One thing to note- the golf cart rental they recommend is on the other side of town. I’m sure there’s a reason they recommend Ron’s Golf Carts, but just know there are some logistics you’ll need to figure out to pick them and drop them off. It’s a long walk there and back, especially if you aren’t a young fit person.

This was the best vacation we’ve ever taken, in no small part due to Sharlene’s home. The location is stellar, set above an uncrowded black sand beach amid lush jungle. The most beautiful rainbow sunsets! We did yoga on the patio in the morning and saw whales nearly every day! The house is stylish and comfortable and has everything you need to cook with. Omar was super helpful and cool, Cielo deep cleaned twice while we were there. Everything flowed nicely. We want to come back again!

The house is spectacular, and sits atop a cliff overlooking a beautiful stretch of beach. There is a terrific stairway down to a private beach and Sayulita is a five minute car ride or a 15 minute walk. Sharlene was an incredible host and shared numerous, insightful tips that were of great help in making our trip a wonderful and memorable experience. I highly recommend the house and the experience you will find there; it is away from the hustle and bustle of town and truly a beautiful sanctuary to be enjoyed. Lastly - Omar, the caretaker, was also incredible and directed us to a few surf spots, including Chacala, I highly recommend visiting the town. Omar is highly knowledgeable regarding the area and was extremely professional and was of great benefit to our group.

The house blew me and all my friends away. A large group of friends in different places throughout Sayulita for the wedding and everyone wanted to spend time at our place. Infinity pool, private beach, ample room for hosting, in a quiet/private setting all made the place perfect to have people over and spend time enjoying the area. The property manager Omar contacted me a week or so before our trip to give us information on the house and how to check in. He even linked me with a cart rental service. Overall, just a great experience. Looking forward to coming back in future years.

The house is a real delight, if you want to go to rest and connect with nature. Its privileged views and the quality of the kitchen tools, whites, furniture and amenities that it has are undoubtedly a true match. The infinity pool is perfect! I would definitely love to come back; 100% recommended

We had a wonderful time staying at Casa Del Rey Dormido. Sharlene was extremely responsive prior to our stay and post stay as well. We felt extremely safe with the 24/7 guard as Omar the property manager had mentioned there have been break ins in town. The property manager was unfortunately out of town during our stay, however he did reach out prior to answer any questions and provide check in and check out instructions. He also made some great recommendations in regards to the Ally Cat which I would highly recommend anyone to check out. The housekeeper stopped in on Wednesday which was a bit unusual since we had only checked in the day prior, I’m assuming she is on a weekly visit schedule. Regardless, she was extremely nice and left the house spotless. The Sonos sound system was an awesome feature as well as the infinity pool where we spent a good portion of our time while we were back at the house. The appliances were top notch and we had stopped at a grocery store in PV prior which I would highly recommend you do. It made it extremely nice that we were able to balance between quick meals and eating in town. We rented from Rolys golf carts not Roys, which I would recommend you look at different options in town. From the golf carts we saw, it looked like there were much newer and upgraded golf carts that would have made it through the early stages of the hurricane we experienced on Saturday. The WiFi is not great but should be expected as it seems the norm for Sayulita as a whole. The only problem with this is there was no cell service at all within the home except for a few of our friends that had maybe one bar with Verizon. Once you head into town you’ll have LTE for the most part. The private beach was an amazing experience just a short walk down the stairs not a soul on the beach. The only real damper on our experience was the hurricane that rolled in Saturday and knocked out the power. The extreme winds and rain caused extensive flooding to the home which I reached out to Sharlene about. We tried our best to mop up the water. There were also very limited resources, a few candles and one flash light. I recommended to Sharlene a hurricane preparedness kit of some sort. Obviously this was an act of nature so nothing could have been done to prevent it, but letting guests know they are visiting during monsoon season when hurricanes are very likely and what to do in the event of one. Overall, a wonderful trip to Sayulita and would recommend staying here for a nice getaway.
