An excellent rental close to Samara and in a green environment

We had a wonderful time and would definitely recommend. It was great to have a beautiful space to relax while also being close to Samara.

We were two families with young children and loved our stay. We were able to enjoy the pool and large kitchen. We heard howler monkeys several mornings. The accommodation is located in an area a few minutes by car from Samara. Our check-in and communication with Léonie were completely hassle-free. We recommend it without hesitation!

We stayed 3 nights at Casa Nube and wished it had been longer! The house was amazing, interesting architecture on top of a hill in a very private and safe neighborhood. The pool was good size and surrounded by wildlife - monkeys, birds etc. The short drive to the town and beach was not an issue at all. As everywhere in the area, 4WD is recommended. The property manager was super responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing family vacation at Casa Nube! The drive from Liberia was beautiful. We were welcomed with a basket of fresh fruit which was perfect! The house was comfortable, well-equipped, and perfect for our large family group. We loved relaxing on the outdoor patios each morning listening to birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. The kids loved swimming in the pool everyday. Sámara was a wonderful town to explore. Some of our favorites included a sunset catamaran cruise, a private chef who cooked a delicious Costa Rican dinner at the house, browsing the Sámara Market, and spotting howler monkeys on the nearby walking trails. We also enjoyed great meals at La Boca, Chaki Café, Sámara Brewing Company, Las Olas, and Restaurant Bahía. Carrillo Beach was another favorite for peaceful walks and shell hunting. The hosts were fantastic—friendly, responsive, and always available. They made us feel welcome. We made so many wonderful memories here and would absolutely stay at Casa Nube again!

The house manager Leonie was a gem! Always prompt responses to our queries. The house was well equipped and situated. The beds were so comfortable. Only thing maybe thicker comforters because with the a/c it can get chilly at night! Close to everything, we definitely would recommend!

The house was perfect for our holidays; wonderful location 5 minutes from Samara beach where there are plenty of restaurants and grocery options; Leonie was a great local host who was very friendly and knowledgeable, met us at check-in, and responded quickly to questions. The house is modern and spacious, nicely decorated, and had great amenities. The pool and barbecue were ideal and got plenty of use. We hope to book again next year!

We had a fantastic stay. It was a little tricky to find at first (thanks, Google Maps), but once we arrived, we immediately felt at home. The house is in a somewhat private area and feels far from the busy center of Sámara, yet it’s only a quick 9-minute drive—perfect for grocery runs and trips into town. The layout was great for our family, especially the large open living area on the first floor. The pool setup with loungers and umbrellas made it easy to relax, and the views from the terrace and upper balcony were truly stunning. Mornings were especially peaceful with mist rolling through the trees and howler monkeys and birds in the distance. The only minor challenge was the steep gravel driveway—without a 4x4, the car slid a bit when parking. But aside from that, this was an amazing place to stay, and we’d absolutely return.

We had a great time at Casa Nube. Welcomed by Maria, she explained how the house works and suggested activities, restaurants and grocery stores. She was also very responsive when we had a problem with an air conditioner, and it was very quickly resolved. The house is beautiful and is an 8-10 minute drive from Samara beach. 4x4 and host instructions before arrival (received by email) essential to get to the house: steep side and Google map/waze unreliable for the last meters. There were 2 families and we all had plenty of space. It must be understood that 2 of the bedrooms are upstairs and communicate from the outside only, with a bathroom outside (no door) upstairs. Keep in mind if you come with young children (ours were older, no problem!). The pool was wonderful and the kitchen well equipped.

Surrounded by forest, where monkeys are often heard. 5 minute car-ride from Samara Beach (not by foot). Please note that the second floor can be reached via the outside steps, and that the two bedrooms on the second floor are independent and lockable. We had some concerns about the safety of the children on the second floor, but they locked their door and we had keys in case. Maria was quick to help us with a fridge problem. Nice place, thanks for the welcome!
