Casa Nube is a boutique mountain villa located just 2.8 km (5 minutes) from the vibrant beach town of Samara. The town offers a variety of cafes, bars, restaurants, beaches, and activities suitable for all interests. This spacious 350 m² villa is stylishly and uniquely decorated, ideal for guests who want to enjoy Costa Rica's natural beauty without sacrificing comfort or design.
Guests have exclusive access to the entire villa, including a saltwater pool and an outdoor dining area, providing a perfect setting to relax and unwind.
The Space
Situated in an exclusive neighborhood just minutes from downtown Samara and the Pacific beaches, Casa Nube is part of one of only five Blue Zones worldwide. This modern, multi-family villa sits on an elevated finca with a few uniquely designed homes surrounded by peaceful nature and cool breezes.
Every day offers breathtaking tropical weather and stunning sunsets visible from all five bedrooms and common areas. The villa is set on 1.5 acres of tropical jungle, where guests can witness cloud and mist formations during the green season and colorful sunsets in the dry season. Wildlife sightings may include aracari toucans, macaws, hummingbirds, butterflies, raccoons, pizotes, armadillos, howler monkeys, praying mantises, and occasionally ocelots or jaguars. Each day promises a unique and memorable experience.
The villa’s design maximizes outdoor views and natural light, creating a seamless connection with nature.
Ground Floor
- Entrance through floor-to-ceiling glass doors into an open-plan kitchen, dining, TV, and lounge area.
- Locally handmade teak banquet table seating 12 guests.
- Fully equipped kitchen with gas oven and all necessary amenities for self-catering or private chef services (available through concierge).

- King-size primary en-suite bedroom with a private tropical terrace.

First Floor
- Accessed via a grand outdoor staircase with mountain views.
- Two bedrooms: one king-size and one with twin single beds.
- Shared open-style bathroom featuring tropical mountain views and a privacy screen.
- First floor sleeps 4 guests.
Casa Nube is ideal for two families or extended groups, offering separate floors with private bathrooms and an additional washroom near the pool.
Outdoor Features
- Large private saltwater pool with lounge area, pool toys, parasols, BBQ, dining space, and pool lighting for evening enjoyment.
- Private driveway with parking for up to three vehicles.
- Driveway is on an incline; a 4x4 vehicle is recommended.
- Approximately 25 steps from the driveway and pool area up to the front door.
- Assistance with luggage is available from the property manager; additional porter service can be arranged if needed.
Location
The villa is located on a well-maintained tarmac road leading into Samara, a rarity in Costa Rica. The neighborhood is tranquil and surrounded by nature, offering cooler breezes and spectacular views.
Guest Access
Guests have exclusive use of the entire villa, including the private pool and an outdoor laundry and drying area at the rear of the property. Parking is close to the pool area, with a short uphill walk to the villa entrance.
Guests with limited mobility may require assistance with the steps, which can be provided by fellow guests or family members. For heavy or numerous bags, advance notice allows arrangement of porter assistance.
Additional Services
The property manager is available to assist with villa-related questions before and during your stay. Services offered include:
- Booking private chefs
- Arranging babysitters
- Organizing car rentals, airport transfers, excursions, and tours
These services are included as part of the Casa Nube experience.
Important Notes
- Private chef, babysitter, car rentals, taxis, shuttles, and excursions can be arranged through the house manager.

- Parties and excessively loud music are not allowed.
- The driveway and entrance involve about 25 steps on an incline; assistance may be needed for those with limited mobility.

El lugar queda en un lugar hermoso, súper tranquilo, la zona en general es hermosa, la anfitriona es muy amable. El lugar tiene poco infraestructura, está poco desarrollado pero las playas son hermosas….

Superbe maison, très bien situé. La piscine est nettoyé à tous les jours. L’hôte est très réactif et disponible. La seul chose je ne savais pas que les deux chambres du haut nous devions passer par l’escalier qui est à l’extérieur pour y accéder et la salle de bain n’avais pas de porte juste un paravent. Nous avons eu de la visite de quelques gros insectes. Finalement nous n’utilisons pas la salles de bain. Suggestions une porte devrait être rajouté. Sinon, tout était superbe!

The house manager Leonie was a gem! Always prompt responses to our queries. The house was well equipped and situated. The beds were so comfortable. Only thing maybe thicker comforters because with the a/c it can get chilly at night! Close to everything, we definitely would recommend!

The house was perfect for our holidays; wonderful location 5 minutes from Samara beach where there are plenty of restaurants and grocery options; Leonie was a great local host who was very friendly and knowledgeable, met us at check-in, and responded quickly to questions. The house is modern and spacious, nicely decorated, and had great amenities. The pool and barbecue were ideal and got plenty of use. We hope to book again next year!

We had a fantastic stay. It was a little tricky to find at first (thanks, Google Maps), but once we arrived, we immediately felt at home. The house is in a somewhat private area and feels far from the busy center of Sámara, yet it’s only a quick 9-minute drive—perfect for grocery runs and trips into town. The layout was great for our family, especially the large open living area on the first floor. The pool setup with loungers and umbrellas made it easy to relax, and the views from the terrace and upper balcony were truly stunning. Mornings were especially peaceful with mist rolling through the trees and howler monkeys and birds in the distance. The only minor challenge was the steep gravel driveway—without a 4x4, the car slid a bit when parking. But aside from that, this was an amazing place to stay, and we’d absolutely return.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour à Casa Nube. Accueillis par Maria, elle nous a bien expliqué le fonctionnement de la maison et nous a suggéré des activités, restaurants et épiceries. Elle fut aussi très réactive lorsque nous avons eu un problème avec un climatiseur, et celui-ci fut très rapidement réglé. La maison est magnifique et se situe à 8-10 minutes de voiture de la plage de Samara. 4x4 et instructions de l’hôte avant arrivée (reçues par courriel) essentiels pour se rendre à la maison: côté abrupte et Google map/waze pas fiables pour les derniers mètres. Nous étions 2 familles et nous avions tous beaucoup d’espace. Il faut bien comprendre que 2 des chambres sont à l’étage et communiquent par l’extérieur seulement, avec une salle de bain à l’extérieur (pas de porte) à l’étage. À garder en tête si ont vient avec de jeunes enfants (les nôtres étaient plus grands, pas de problème!). La piscine était merveilleuse et la cuisine bien équipée.

Surrounded by forest, where monkeys are often heard. 5 minute car-ride from Samara Beach (not by foot). Please note that the second floor can be reached via the outside steps, and that the two bedrooms on the second floor are independent and lockable. We had some concerns about the safety of the children on the second floor, but they locked their door and we had keys in case. Maria was quick to help us with a fridge problem. Nice place, thanks for the welcome!
