Jai was the best host I’ve ever had. She was very warm, accommodating and attentive as well as extremely helpful in planning our excursions, meals, ground transportation, and anything else we needed. When you’re visiting a country for the first time, this is exactly the kind of the host that you want because she’s spent years establishing relationships with the locals so you don’t have to worry about booking anything directly and possibly messing something up. You can tell she takes her guests experience seriously because she works very hard behind the scenes to make sure that you’re taken care of. Thank you Jai.

If I could rate this stay with more than 5 stars I would! This was a perfect week. Which can be accredited mostly to our host Jai ! She was super available any time we wanted a recommendation, tour, or ride she was there to help. We were greeted with coconuts (and taught how to open them) and then walked through everything we needed to know in order to treat the space care and respect. She even went above and beyond by taking hours out of her day to take us on a beautiful hike through the forest and then to the farmers market and helped us navigate through all the amazing vendors. We will be back.

Review of Air B&B Villa wanderlust review We would definitely recommend Villa Wanderlust to our friends and family! Our family had a wonderful time at Wanderlust. Jai was more kind and helpful than we could have asked for! She helped us schedule the perfect excursions for our family, helped us figure out how to meet dietary needs, and even called taxis for us as needed. Jai set up an in house chef at our request for 3 or 4 meals. They did a fantastic job. :) Jai even brought coconuts one day for the kids to chop the tops off and drink the coconut water:) They were more than pleased. The house, pool, and grounds were magical! We enjoyed opening the doors and windows each morning to enjoy the warmth of the jungle. We saw many frogs, birds, and lizards. There were plenty of towels and linens to meet our needs. The house was very clean. The pool and hot tub were clean and enjoyable. This is a terrific jungle house to enjoy in Costa Rica.

Jai was a phenomenal Host!! My group was 13 and we honestly were a hurricane of a family. Jai was patient, kind, and attentive to our whole group. She organized every excursion any of us threw her way. We did a day boat excursion, diving, lazy beach day, horseback riding, Antonio Manual national park, even had a very amazing team of chefs come in a feed us one night (which I highly recommend). You can tell how much Jai loves doing what she does in Jaco. Hands down one of my family's favorite vacation experiences. If we ever come back to Jaco we will surely be asking Jai if she would accept us again. ** To note: My 11-year-old broke a window ... Jai calmly explained what needs to happen came up with a corrective plan and politely helped me make it right. Jai is a very classy, positive person and was honored to have spent time in her amazing place.

Jai was very accommodating, responsive. She planned and made all our reservations base on her recommendations and it exceeded our expectations. I celebrated my 50th birthday there and it was the best ever!!! It’s a beautiful space in a beautiful place. It was truly in the jungle with animals (wild and domestic), insects and other creatures. Three of us stayed at Wanderlust to celebrate the upcoming wedding of a friend. Our stay was nothing short of amazing. Highlights of the accommodations were the incredibly comfortable beds, the peaceful atmosphere and the fantastic hot tub. What really makes this place stand out is Jai. Jai could not have done more to make our stay a magical occasion. She provided us with impeccable food and drink recommendations, connected us with local, trustworthy transportation and bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect. Jai really is a special treat. We all hope to be back someday.

The place looks exactly like the photos, it is excellently styled, tucked away amongst loads of plants. Just a wonderful ambiance. Jai was very responsive, took personal ownership in making sure we were taken care of. Set us up with surf and ATV tours, would recommend! Also private dinner cooked at venue was beautiful. 5 stars, would return, lovely venue. Enjoy!

Jia place was awesome and almost as great as her hosting and concierge services. The accommodations in the two villas were just what our larger group was looking for: very private, very natural look and feel, tastefully decorated, clean and well equipped. Beds were very comfortable, bathrooms clean and there was plenty of space indoors and outside to relax and socialize. We loved congregating outside around the pool or the firepit. Jai's hosting services were second to none. She assisted with most of our tours and excursion planning including reservations and pre-purchasing tickets when needed. She ensured we had transports lined up which was no small feat given the size of our group and how many different activities we wanted to explore. She arranged for an in house chef and staff to cook fantastic dinners every night we were there. She even assisted on an unplanned visit to urgent care for one of our group in the middle of the night.Very highly recommend this location and this host!

Wanderlust was absolutely amazing! Just like the pictures and just as I imagined. I celebrated my 45th birthday weekend with six girlfriends. When planning this birthday trip I knew I wanted a jungle paradise experience and Jai delivered. The villa was safe, clean and had all the amenities mentioned in the description. Jai was a prompt and attentive host. The concierge service she provided gave endless recommendations for restaurants, entertainment and experiences. Although our trip wasn’t long, we were able to fit a day of excursions and a day of relaxation without feeling overwhelmed or rushed. We hiked, zip lined, toured, got massages in the garden and had a yoga class. Our last night a private chef prepared dinner and we had a surprise fire show! 🔥 I highly recommended allowing Jai to curate your vacation at Villa Wanderlust. Pura Vida!! ❤️

Jai’s house is very charming. The pictures do make it look bigger than it actually is, but it worked very well for our family. Jai is a great host responding to all our questions and helping us book many of our adventures. The outdoor space is very relaxing and we spent a lot of time there. Pool is great. The beach is about a 10 minute drive -we enjoyed the house and Jaco very much!

There are not enough stars to rate Jai’s Wanderlust Villa. If you are looking for an authentic Costa Rican home away from home, it doesn’t get better than her Airbnb. We spent several nights here on an all-girls trip and felt completely safe. The place is stunning, spotless, and all the attention to detail made it extra special to relax and unwind. Jai went above and beyond for our group. She took the time to ask questions and then organized some of the best experiences we could have ever dreamed of. From ATV rides to an island boat cruise and even a crowd favorite fire dancer for after dinner entertainment. Hands down the best Airbnb stay in ten years of using the app. 10/10 would recommend and will return!!

Jai was an amazing host and we had a wonderful time at her place. Jai lives very close to the beautiful property and was very responsive to any questions or recommendations we had. The property was beautiful, very open and airy. You can choose to open the doors to the sounds of the jungle or keep them closed and appreciate the beauty from within. During our quick stay, we spent the day at one the local beaches, explored the national park (about an hour drive), did an ATV tour, and some shopping in downtown Jaco. If you enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of the jungle and Costa Rica, this is a gorgeous place to stay! Thank you Jai. 😊

Jai was amazing, helped us have a beautiful trip and was proactive in helping plan meals, outings where to eat etc. we celebrated my Dads 60th birthday bash - and it was a very memorable trip we all shared. The dual villa setup was perfect - we had a group of 16 people and it was very accommodating and many bathrooms and extra beds in our case :) Jai had a well organized itinerary and helped as much or as little as we needed, it definitely added comfort when planning and traveling from another country. The option to have open air at all times furthered our experience in Costa Rica, Jaco has definitely developed since we visited ten years ago! The garden smelled amazing and we saw many butterflies and beautiful birds. Very peaceful - and the chefs were the cherry on top. Highly recommend - and they did an amazing job for birthday dinner. Delish surf and turf, sauces and birthday dessert :) Tortuga island was a favorite amongst all, and wouldn’t have happened withou Jai’s local touch.

Wow, where to start! The whole trip was fabulous.The Villa was perfect. A little hidden gem in Paradise. Very nice pool and wonderful Jacuzzi to be in... Jai is really a genuine person and makes sure that your stay is memorable. All the excursions and transportation were right on point. We had dinners that we will never forget at the Villa. Villa Wanderlust and especially Jai surpassed all of our expectations and then some! Hands down the BEST AIRBNB I HAVE EVER STAYED IN! We were all so emotionally sad to leave Wanderlust….we all left a peace of our hearts there. She left coffee for us in the freezer so we can have it whenever we wanted! The jacuzzi was so relaxing and the lighting was magical at night….TOTAL NIRVANA!!! I honestly have had the absolute best AirBnb experience with Jai!!! From the personalized check in, the recommendations for delicious food, the coordination of excursions, taxis and beyond, Jai is really the host with the most! I have stayed at many vacation rentals and I have never had an experience like this. Jai is so incredibly nice and never got annoyed with our questions. The additional superhosts (pets) were absolutely adorable and so friendly. The space is warm, inviting and provided an amazing space for myself and 10 friends to enjoy my birthday. We rented two of the villas so almost everyone had their own room and privacy. We opted for the private chef dinner for my birthday evening and the food was absolutely delicious. We also got a private breakfast for one of the mornings as well and the food was also great. The only downside is that the villa is not really walkable. You will need a taxi to get anywhere but everything is in close proximity.

The Wanderlust Villa is truly a hidden gem! And if you are lucky enough to stay here, you’ll quickly find out that Jai, is the sweetest and most accommodating host. As soon as we booked, she reached out to see how she could help make our stay the best experience. She made herself available prior to, and during our stay. We were so grateful! Upon entering the yard, we were greeted by the sounds of Jakarta, the coolest pig we’ve met (who we fed vegetables and fruits to daily), followed by the sounds of baby birds singing in the nest right outside the door and some very fun lizards. The house is so cozy, from the abundance of flora, ambient lighting and boho style to the cloud like mattresses, pillows, floor to ceiling window doors and amenities. We really did not want to leave and are already talking about coming back. We made lifelong memories with our family and can’t thank Jai enough for sharing this home with us. 🙏🏼❤️ Pura Vida!

I recently stayed at Jai's villa and overall, it was a serene and peaceful experience. The villa itself had air conditioning in the rooms, which provided comfortable sleeping conditions, though the absence of air conditioning in the main living space was noticeable, especially during (what locals claimed) was an unreasonably hot week in Costa Rica. Getting to the villa was a bit challenging as transportation options other than what was provided by Jai were limited. Jai kindly arranged taxis for us to Jaco, albeit at $20 cash each time, so it's advisable to have enough cash on hand for transportation expenses. The hill leading to the villa can be a bit daunting to drive through, but most taxi drivers were able to navigate it without much difficulty. On the bright side, Jai was incredibly accommodating and willing to fulfill any requests we had. She even went above and beyond to organize a surprise cake and champagne for my friend's birthday, which added a special touch to our stay.

This Airbnb experience was the best I have ever seen. Not only is the place absolutely beautiful and just as described, the host Jai brought it to a whole other level. I absolutely cannot say enough great things about this space! Jai is INCREDIBLE. We were blown away continuously throughout our stay. Not only did the experience beat the photos, things were pure magic. Jai is a master networker and has connections with all local businesses. She knows the area inside + out and is the CHILLEST HUMAN EVER. If I could give this six stars I would. The value + the space are insane and the house has everything you need to have a really, really good time. I hosted a retreat with 10 people here and we could've easily fit 5-6 more. Jai made it super easy to add on activities, coordinate tours, get groceries and more. Stop scrolling and book this. It's a gem.

Wow, where do I start?? I stayed at Jai's for my 30th birthday celebration with 7 of my friends. Having 8 girls in one place can sometimes be a challenge, but honestly we all slept super comfortably and had ample room for some recharge time in between excursions (and pool time!). Jai recommended so many memorable activities--We had a jam-packed itinerary! She booked Tortuga Island, the 10 Waterfalls Hike (one note on this--not an easy hike, but my friends & I were in shape so we made it work), Tabacon Resort & Spa, and she also suggested that we watch the sunset at Hotel Villa Caletas, arranging our taxi to and from. Almost all excursions included fruit in the morning and a bigger lunch in the afternoon. We also had a chauffeur to and from the airport (along with all the excursions). Jai planned everything and was amazing!!! The final activity we booked was a private chef, Max Pereira. Highly recommend! Seriously one of my favorite trips ever (and I've traveled quite a bit).

What a wanderful stay at Villa Wanderlust. We stayed with a group of friends for three days attending a wedding nearby. We had so much fun and time to relax at the villa. We were able to bbq, have some drinks, dance, have fun, swim and use the jacuzzi. This made our stay at the villa a memorable stay. Jai is a great host and reacts immediately on the requests that we had.

Jai is by far the most helpful host I have ever dealt with. She was extremely responsive, helped with everything from groceries to getting us taxi's to setting up dinner reservations. Do take her up on the chef cooked meal at the Villa, it was amazing. The place looks exactly like the pictures. The only downside was the main rooms were not air conditioned (the bedrooms are). We were there for a work trip so having meetings in the main room was a little tough because of the heat, but the WIFI was really good. All in all a great stay. We were well cared for and Jai is deligtful!

Our families had a wonderful time at Villa Wanderlust. It’s a in a great location in the jungle above Jaco, private, peaceful and very comfortable. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and comfy beds. Jaime and her team, Charlotte and Esteban, were very responsive whenever we had questions, or needed recommendations. Jaime also arranged several activities for us during the week and was always helpful. Highly recommend Villa Wanderlust, would love to return again some day!

This place is absolutely a dream. The Concierge Team which included Jai (short for Jaime), Charlotte, and Esteban were more available than my left toe. Everything from coordinating a couple fancy dinners with villa approved Chef Max, or rides with Marvin into town, they were all so effortless. I am so grateful for the 10 days we were able to stay. The Villa looks EXACTLY like the photos. Maintenance was a welcomed occurrence daily to help take out trash, clean the pool and feed the pets on site. (Jakarta, and 2 bunnies, and neighbor pups) Charlotte was an absolute Angel, and I wish I could have brought her home with me. lol I hope I get to visit The Wanderlust Villa in Jaco again someday!

Beautiful villa and stay. Jai and her team were incredibly responsive and proactive. We were given everything we needed. What you see is what you get, no major surprises. I recommend the outdoor massage on the property. It was divine! Just to caution the hill getting up to the villa is a little steep so best to use her recommended taxis. We had to walk down the hill a few times because some sprinter vans and some cars could not make it up there. Also, be prepared for members of the property management team to be present in the mornings as they tend to the premises. It took some time to adjust to that.

BOOK THIS AIRBNB! We booked the Wanderlust for my 30th birthday and out of the hundreds of airbnbs that I've stayed at, this was by far the best experience that I've EVER had. Jai is the sweetest, most genuine human you will probably ever meet. This is definitely her calling!She provided exceptional service BEFORE I even arrived, planned every single excursion with a price breakdown. Group trips are never easy, and Jai was so patient and accommodating with us. She is available 24/7 and responded instantly. She checked in on us throughout the entire trip to make sure that we were having a great time. The airbnb was beautiful and more than enough space for our group of 11. The pool was our fav on the property! There was a 24/7 concierge that we used for alcohol and food (the alcohol was expensive, but just ask for price before). Jai arranged for us transportation, ATV tour, Tortuga cruise, yoga, dj, chefs, nightlife-- she even set up a few bday surprises for me! Above & beyond. BEST HOST

I do not have enough words to describe our experience at Alma Dulce and with Jai. Before even arriving, so knew we were in good hands with thee best host in Costa Rica. The villas (2) nestled in the Costa Rican mountains, we’re both so amazing. The energy in there is pristine. You feel a sense of calm and peacefulness as soon as you walk in, allowing you to be one with the surrounding nature. We were there for a bachelorette party and it was epic. Jai made sure I was able to get in before check in so that I could decorate in time for the bride to be’s arrival; She even helped!! She lives very close and is available to help at any moment, but stayed out of the way to insure we had our privacy and enjoyed our stay. I booked a chef, fire dancers, massages , DJ and many more activities through her and it was just so easy and headache free. The location is amazing - the place really is 5mins from the beach, but in the jungle!! OVERALL AMAZING TRIP. Already planning my next stay! Pura Vida♥️

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Wanderlust! It was an absolutely authentic Costa Rican experience hosted by an amazing Airbnb Host! I can’t imagine what we would’ve done without Jai. From the moment of booking she was helpful, available and informative. She booked all of our excursions and many dining reservations. Not to mention the numerous taxi rides throughout our stay. Jai is an awesome host. She is really friendly and responsive. Probably the best host I’ve ever had with Airbnb. Her place is so cute and clean. She really helped me make my sister’s bachelorette a great success. The only couple things that I want to share for others traveling to this area is that if you decide to go clubbing, hire the bodyguard service. It’s a lot sketchier than I thought it would be on the strip. Also, the taxi drivers will overcharge you. Marvin was extremely rude to us after we didn’t want to hang out with him and he charged us triple what he was supposed to charge. His boss confirmed we overpaid. You shouldnt pay more than a few bucks to get to town from bnb.

Jai is a phenomenal host. Most will provide basic check in instructions and minor details on things to do, concierge , however Jai goes the extra mile providing you the full event planning service . We celebrated my wife’s 30th bday and she created me a whole spreadsheet with a detailed itinerary, cost and expectations based on what we wanted . The property is wonderful, fully equipped, clean and so much thought and design put into it. It’s close to town yet far away from the noise, the beds , great smelling rooms, furniture , pool, fully equipped kitchen were all accurate as described. We planned on spending little time in the air bnb to go explore but ended up spending 50% of our time on the property to enjoy the nature sounds, the pool and all the property had to offer. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a great place with an exceptional host who will provide you a 7 star hotel service in terms of services and communication .

OMG!!! Not sure where to start because Jai made my experience a beautiful one. First time in Costa Rica and I enjoyed every moment. Jai put the itinerary together and it was amazing. It was a group of 11 people and we all agreed that Jai went above and beyond to make this experience an amazing and wonderful experience. Airbnb 10/10. I promise you won’t regret booking this place. I’m big on extra clean towels and she made sure that I had exactly what I requested. She’s super sweet and hired people who are exactly like her. I’m soooooooo happy I booked this airbnb because I got a beautiful house and an amazing host.

The house was great. It is a little smaller than I was thinking based on photos but plenty of room for 8 people. I think 10 would be ok but 12 people here would be difficult. We did the chef one evening and I highly recommend that as it was delicious. It’s a little hard to plan for that cost wise as you don’t get the total until the chef arrives and it’s cash only. Check in was easy. I could see where it could be a little hard to find at night but we had detailed instructions and pictures which were tremendously helpful. The AC worked great and so did the hot water. Overall a beautiful setting. Jakarta the pig was also a highlight.

The very best part of our stay was Jai herself. She is so kind, helpful and responds so quickly. She is always ready to make your stay as perfect as possible. Guests must be adventurous with driving and comfortable with nature to enjoy fully. We loved the pig, bunnies, dogs and lizards. The AC in the bedrooms was powerful and made us comfortable. The temperature of the pool was perfect for cooling down in the heat. We recommend getting to know Jai because she is a wonderful human!

Wanderlust is simply amazing! I was given the task of planning a 40th birthday trip for my Husband and this trip was beyond our dreams. We had 6 adults and 4 kids and slept very comfortably in the house. (The beds are heaven!) The grounds are simply beautiful. The open air jungle vibe is so calming and peaceful- our kids loved the animals on property! Jai's hospitality is unmatched- She is such a kind soul with a passion for creating magical experiences for her guests. I booked our week through her and it took all the guess work out- everything we did was wonderful! Highly recommend doing the ATV tour to waterfalls, in house massages and private chef are a must! Our favorite day was the Tortuga Island cruise. Do not miss out on this!! The island was breath taking and the staff with CostaCat are amazing!! We can't wait to go back to Costa Rica. Jai will forever have a place in our hearts all the way in Texas :)

Wanderlust was more than a place to stay. It was an curated experience, many thanks to the wonderful Jai. We felt guided on a journey during our time in Costa Rica. Jai exudes kindness and love, and has a tribe that is just as dependable and responsive as she is. The space is magical in a “non-fancy” way. It is connected to its natural surroundings, low key, almost rustic (in a good way). Totally removed from civilization by way of a rough road (requiring 4X4 - “bad roads bring good people!”). There was some noise from neighbors (and this week, construction… finishing soon!), but minimal. We enjoyed the cool breeze, dappled light, that was reflective of and part of the landscape. We were joined by beautiful birds, iguanas, and Jakarta the pig, lovely dogs, bunnies, and an occasional visiting monkey. Delightful pool and hot tub. We highly recommend the chef and massages… all were so accommodating and made for a truly dreamy experience. We can’t wait to return!!!!

We had the most amazing week staying at Villa Wanderlust, it’s hard to put into words! The villa is absolutely gorgeous and it’s tucked away in what feels like a private jungle. It’s somehow even more magical than it looks in the photos. We were in a group of 7, 3 couples and one other friend, and the space was perfect for us and had everything we needed. Jai is the best Airbnb host I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting and working with and I highly recommend staying at her beautiful property. From the moment we booked she was extremely communicative and helped us to set up transportation from the airport so there was no stress at all when we arrived. Throughout our stay, she helped us set up trips, transportation, and restaurant reservations. We loved getting to know her and all the animals on the property as well. The villa is close to a lot of wonderful beaches that we loved exploring. I would recommend renting a car with 4wd and going to get sushi and other delicious food at Ohana!

We were a group of 8 girls who had an amazing week-long stay at Jai’s! She helped us plan a great itinerary and was proactive in ensuring all the details were ironed out ahead of time. We did the cooking class and Tortuga island cruise which were highlights. The space is beautiful and air conditioning in the bedrooms is much appreciated. Jai was constantly responsive throughout our stay, arranging taxis and dinner reservations for us as we requested. The location was close to town but quiet and private. The only challenge was a steep dirt road for access - we didn’t want to brave it with our big van, so Jai arranged for us to park a short walk away. The trip was overall a stellar experience and I’ve never had an AirBNB host like Jai!

I don't even know where to start! The location is absolutely beautiful and fully encompassed the beauty of Costa Rica! The villa felt peaceful, natural, and full of great energy, as well as safe. The beds were comfortable, bathrooms were stocked with necessities, and the AC in the bedrooms were ice cold! Jai and her team of people made us feel more than welcome. Jai is quick with her response time, and kept up with our groups frequent questions, helped with taxi's, activities, and made us feel like we were at home in her beautiful space. Her dogs made frequent visits for cuddles and treats, as well as Jakarta in the yard, he was our absolute favorite! I can not recommend this location any more! Jaco had so much to offer, beautiful beaches, great restaurants and nightlife, and the locals were beyond kind.

Jai's place is amazing! Me and my friends truly had an experience of a lifetime visiting the jungle of Jaco. Jai organized our entire trip, from arranging buses to pick up my guests from SJO, to providing a list of fun activities for us to do within the surrounding area. She was an amazing help! With this being my first trip outside of the US, as well as a celebration of my 30th Birthday. I couldn't have asked for a better host. I look forward to visiting Jaco again in the near future, and when that time comes. Booking another stay at The Wanderlust is a no brainier! 10/10 experience.

Jai’s home is absolutely wonderful. We are a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids ages 17, 14, and 11). The property is about a mile from the beach. The surrounding gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. A monkey visited us most mornings as did countless other critters. My son, who is an avid birder, observed over 111 species of birds walking along the roads and trails in the vicinity of the home. Saw a few caimans as well. Kitchen is well stocked and the bedrooms/beds are so comfortable. Jai is an amazing person/host and exerts much effort ensuring your comfort and experience. We found the excursions/services she organized for us all to be fun, friendly, and reputable. She booked the 10 waterfalls hike, monkey tour, and massages for us. Highly recommended and if we return to the area we would definitely check with Jai to see if her place is available. 10 stars out of 5!!!

All I can say is WOW! From the fairy princess looking house in the jungle to the way that Jai took care of our every need, the trip was amazing. Jai worked with us from the moment we booked to plan an itinerary for 9 people. She knew all the best places to go and made sure we were taken care of where-ever we went. She made suggestions to our proposed itinerary that allowed us to do more while spending less time in the car and saved some money. She handled last minute (ie day of/day before) changes with a smile and a "sure loves whatever I can do to make it happen for you" When we had some minor issues at the house (like the grill wasn't heating up right) she responded immediately and things were perfect again in no time and my steaks were saved and delicious! Whenever we wanted food delivered we texted an order to her and she made it happen. The house was beautiful, exactly as described in the listing. It was a trip of a lifetime thanks in a large part to the wonderful Jai!!!

Okay how do I even begin to leave a review for a place as spectacular as this! I came here for my birthday celebration with 9 guests and we had the perfect amount of room for all of us. The bed felt like you were sleeping on a cloud I never wanted to leave it!! Everything was spotless and the attention to detail Jai put into this place is just extraordinary! Upon arrival check in was very simple and she gave us a quick rundown of how the place works and all the amenities we were allowed to use/have. The location was gorgeous as we were tucked away surrounded by breathtaking jungle features and views. There was more than plenty of air conditioning in each room so we never felt gross or overheated while sleeping which is a huge thing for us. Onto Jai. Jai is seriously the best host we have ever had. She goes above and beyond for her guests to truly have the best experience in Costa Rica. We quickly become friends and she took care of our every need. We will miss her and this place tons!

This was an amazing stay! Tucked away in the forest, you have your own private area. Jai is amazing in accommodating her guests and will go the extra mile to ensure they have everything needed and will help plan out there trip with local recommendations. Jai was very helpful and responsive from the start. She assisted me with putting my trip itinerary together and made the reservations on our behalf. She was very patient and flexible with all the changes (which happens w/ a large group). The home was just as pictured. My friends absolutely enjoyed their stay at the villa. The Chef cooked an amazing meal, we booked a photographer and we LOVED the photos. We also had massages at the villa. If we could bring them back with us we would, that is how amazing the massages were. We also booked the Cacao festival which was another great experience. All the ppl Jai connected us with in Jaco were just amazing ppl, with great customer service. Any issues that arose were dealt with quickly. Thank you, Jai for a wonderful experience!

This is the place to stay for a group trip! Jai is amazing and super helpful. The home is warm and cozy and very true to the Costa vibe. The house pig and dogs are friendly. The kitchen is fully equipped to make a dinner at home. Massages in house are a must! Tortuga day trip was worth the cost and we saw whales and rays! Hopefully we will be lucky enough to visit again. Bring bug spray and beach towels. The beds are extremely comfy and the house is very clean!!! 10 star stay if that was a thing ;) Our fav bar is Jaco bar and Ohana for sushi. Graffiti is awesome for fresh fish. Overall best trip we have had as a group.

A beautiful and viby home and property, cozy in all the ways. Four big bedrooms each with AC, big comfy beds. We saw macaws even got a visit from a Capuchin monkey. We used the gas BBQ grill to cook up fish we caught that morning, a few minutes drive from Wanderlust. Super convenient location: the beach is right down the street, you can be at a beachfront bar in 5 minutes. Everything in the comments about how awesome, kind and welcoming Jai is cannot do it justice. She genuinely wants you and yours to be happy and was especially. The place has everything you need - soap and shampoo, sunscreen, etc. Kitchen is small but well-equipped (use the grill!). Good wifi: I had to work a couple days (I host Zoom calls of 15-25 people) and had no problems at all. We did the driveway no problem without 4WD. It's totally doable (you'll want a car with some ground clearance). The walk from the parking to the gate is no problem for most people, but we were traveling with an elderly mom and while technically step-free was more challenging for her.

There are no adequate words to fully convey the perfection of our stay at the magical Villa Wanderlust. The house was a perfect retreat for our family vacation. The home is a zen paradise; the beds and bedrooms allowed all of us to sleep better than we've ever slept; the pool was a peaceful spot for the older folks among us, and lots of fun for the college aged kids!! Getting to hang out with Jakarta, Kahlu, Pina and Callie helped our animal-loving crew miss our pets at home a little less. They filled our hearts with joy and laughter every day of our stay. But I must reserve my highest praise for Jai. I feel I've made a lifelong friend in Costa Rica. She helped to set us up with excursions, massages, and every amenity in the house we could possibly need. Her welcome basket was so appreciated by 5 weary travellers. She pointed us in the right direction for food, beaches....well pretty much everything we needed. She was accessible at all times, day and night, when we needed anything at all. And in addition to all of her help, she is a wonderful soul who brought joy to us with every interaction. I am filled with eternal gratitude that the universe led us to Jai and Villa Wanderlust, and I cannot wait until our next visit. ❤️

Home was beautiful and exactly as pictured. Location was great - the property is gorgeous. And it was only a few minutes from the beach. I was able to run down to the beach a few days and felt perfectly safe. The kids especially loved feeding Jakarta the pig. We saw iguanas every day…a few made it inside and didn’t want to leave! Jai was a great concierge and helped answer whatever questions we had. We had a long drive in the first day and she met us with some snacks and fresh beer. Would definitely recommend if you plan to stay in Jaco!

This was probably one of the most magical places I’ve ever stayed. Not only was the house amazing but Jai (the host) was incredible. She went way above and beyond for us! Made our stay very comforting. The spot was in a convenient location, it was also a very beautiful and clean home, ~~~ overall amazing vibes!!!

It is a place to enjoy nature, to be cozy with family or friends, and enjoy the plants, pool, and indoor/outdoor living. Other posts have mentioned this but a 4x4 is highly recommended because of the mountain side driving. Other than that “fun place.”

If you’re looking for a place in the jungle, but close to the beach, you’ve found it! Jai’s place is amazing, and has everything you and your group will need for your trip. Jai is the BEST Airbnb host you will ever encounter!!! We own 4 airbnbs, and after staying with her, we feel like we really need to step our game up. From the moment of booking you feel like she is genuinely wanting to help you have the best vacation ever. She sent a list of things to do in the area, and arranged everything for us. Literally everything. Transportation, excursions, food, whatever you want or need, she’s got you covered. If you want a completely worry free vacation in an awesome location this is the place for you. She has An amazing vibe, and you can tell she truly cares about her guest. Wanderlust was amazing, and Jai is outstanding. As you see in all the reviews, Jai is an astoundingly helpful host... not only is she a true professional, she has a genuinely kind and open soul. She's set up Wanderlust to be a world of its own. If you are looking for a rustic-yet-modern bohemian-style place, look no further. Eight of us went to Costa Rica for a family vacation: Two grandparents, two middle-aged couples, and two young adults (17 and 20). The villa fit us nicely, with a good deal of shared indoor and outdoor space, along with plenty of nooks and crannies to get away on your own. The grounds are beautiful during the day, tucked into a jungle setting; at night, the outdoor lights make the place magical. We made fast friends with the pig, Jakarta, and fed him our leftovers after every meal (which was a real hit for our teenager). Jai was on-point, 100% of the time, from weeks prior to our arrival through days after our trip. We had a group with a lot of diverse needs and questions, and Jai made it her mission to ensure that everyone was happy. I can assure you that she was "wrangling cats" with our family, and she remained flexible and smiling through it all. Before we arrived, she arranged a ton of activities for us; as the trip progressed, she was in constant communication with us--not only about the details of the excursions but also about how we were doing and what feedback we could offer. I have a random connection with a couple of locals, and when I mentioned we were staying with Jai at Wanderlust, they both lit up and mentioned how awesome she is. She is dialed in with legit people in Jaco. This was a huge comfort to us, knowing how many tourist traps exist. The only heads-up I would offer (which is parroted in another review and which Jai reminded me of before we arrived) is to rent a 4WD vehicle if you're driving. The road to Wanderlust is dirt/gravel, and when it rains it can be challenging to navigate. Happy travels!

Jai is a great host. The extra energy and time she has put into her house is wonderful. The dogs, pig and bunnies are an added bonus to animal lovers. I recommend anyone that would like a jungle atmosphere near Jaco to stay here. A 4x4 vehicle is needed especially in rainy season. There was enough room for the 10 of us. It is a beautiful spot. You will definitely enjoy.

Experiencing Costa Rica was an amazing and beautiful experience for me and my friends. Staying at Villa Wanderlust made the experience even more memorable. It was decorated beautifully and had a cozy ambience. Jai made checking in seamless and tended to any of our needs and questions. She also helped with booking our excursions as well. With being so close to nature sometimes bugs and and animals may be out of our comfort zone but be open minded to nature and the jungle around you. You will leave with a whole new perspective than how you came. Overall it was an amazing trip and stay with great people to spend it with.

Great place to stay with your family. it was quiet, clean and all the things you need to have a relaxing time. Above all, Jais responsiveness to our requests for taxis, booking tours and ordering food and groceries made our stay comfortable. we also loved her pet pig, 2 dogs and awesome jetpool. Also, this place was about 5-7 minute drive to town which made it great since we didn't want to be in the bustle of Jaco. I'd stay here again.

Where to start… Jai, her house, her little animals were all amazing. We visited for a hen weekend and Jai was so responsive and attentive throughout the run up and during our stay. She helped me plan the entire itinerary and was so flexible in any little changes we wanted to make. Honestly I cannot say I’ve ever experienced such hospitality in a hotel let alone a Airbnb! The place is so relaxing and immersed in nature. The resident piggy and her dogs made the stay extra amazing and homely. Well stocked kitchen and games cupboard meant you had everything you needed and more. Go, stay here! Experience it for yourself as we will 100% be back! Beautiful place, beautiful and kind hearted host!

We spent our first trip to Costa Rica at Wanderlust with Jai and it was by far the best trip we have ever had. Jai was very welcoming and the property did not disappoint. Jai was first class with building us an itinerary for our fist visit to Costa Rica to see and do some fantastic excursions. She also coordinated transportation for us anywhere we wanted with Jossie whom was the best driver we could have asked for. Overall was a terrific trip and we will definitely be back to Wanderlust in the future!

From my first view of this listing, I called it 'The Fairy House' because of its lights and surroundings. The house lived up to its name. Our family of 6 enjoyed the outside feel of opening all the doors and windows to the sound of nature around us. If one of us needed a retreat (as families do sometimes), the bedrooms' air conditioning cooled the room quickly and well. Our kids enjoyed the pool and all of the floats provided. There were chairs to take to the beach, towels aplenty, and lounge chairs to relax if you weren't the first person to the hammock. The road to the house indeed required a 4x4 because we're not used to the quirks of that road. Honestly, a local driver wouldn't need it, BUT I am not a local driver and the 4x4 was a great comfort to me on the sometimes tricky road. If you choose to NOT have a car, she will help you find taxi drivers to get you there and back (and probably without engaging the 4x4). Jai was responsive to our needs and we had great communication.

BOOK THIS AIRBNB! I went with 4 other friends to celebrate my 30th and let me say this was one of the best trips I’ve had in a long time because the entire trip was planned before we touched down. I told Jai what I wanted and she booked all of the excursions, transportation from the airport, and activities, in addition to the private chef. If we wanted to order anything from empanadas to extra liquor she had it delivered to the house. When we went out to the bars one night, she had a chauffeur not only take us there but escort us the entire night. As women traveling in a foreign country, it was nice to have someone looking out for us. You will probably never find an Airbnb host this attentive. As far as the house goes, it was clean, the beds are heavenly, and the overall ambiance makes it feel like you’re visiting family. I will probably book with her again TBH.

Jai is a wonderful host and her place is so cute and tucked up into the hillside. The house was very comfortable and SO nice that each bedroom has its own bathroom and AC.

Where do I even start… the last week at Wanderlust has been one of the best of my life. I was part of a group of 10 that stayed here and before we even arrived, Jai showed us so much kindness by helping us reserve excursions, arrange transportation, hire a private chef and so much more. As soon as we arrived, she gave us the warmest welcome. There is nothing but pure genuine love inside Jai and Thomas. It is so evident how passionate they are about what they do. Not only did they open up their beautiful home, but they also shared their dogs, rabbits and pig with us for the week. Being a group of animal lovers with fur babies waiting for us in the states, this made us feel even more at home. Anytime we had a question or needed help, Jai came to the rescue. In addition, Jai has made connections with incredible people over the years. Every single person we came in contact with through her had the kindest hearts. I cannot say a single bad thing about wanderlust. I wholeheartedly recommend staying here and have no doubt that my friends and I will return. This is the perfect place to disconnect from the world and center yourself with nature. Pura vida!
