4BR Villa in La Paz

Excellent, 4 weeks ago

The house is super nice and we had a great time. I will definitely always go back to that house!!!

The house is very spacious, and the outdoor area is definitely the property's highlight; it features a large space, a pool, a barbecue grill, two bars, dining areas, and a stone oven for cooking the catch of the day and enjoying amazing evenings. The interior looks just like the photos and is very comfortable; there is also an attached apartment with two beds. The only issue was the master bedroom's A/C system, which didn't cool the room enough—I mentioned this to the person in charge of cleaning so they could pass the message along—but otherwise, we had a great time. The location is very accessible and easy to reach, with everything you need close by.

We had a great time at Casa Mero. Will definitely rent again!

This is a great stay for a large group. I had red previous reviews that weren’t so kind do I was a bit weary. I did not find any of the issues that were in a couple of the reviews. The kitchen was very well equipped, the mattresses were extremely comfortable and the host was extremely responsive during our stay. He brought us champagne glasses for new years, replaced wine glasses that were missing. The views from the balcony were absolutely beautiful. I strongly recommend this house for large groups.

Absolutely Incredible Stay Overlooking the Sea of Cortez! This Airbnb was beyond amazing—truly more than we expected! It had everything you could possibly need and then some. The design was super cool, beautifully decorated, and incredibly spacious. There was so much room to spread out, relax, and enjoy. We loved the multiple spots to sit and eat, both indoors and out—perfect for morning coffee or sunset dinners. The surrounding landscape is absolutely gorgeous, and the views of the Sea of Cortez are breathtaking. One tip: make sure to get the correct directions before arriving. The two map links provided in the listing weren’t accurate, which made getting there a little tricky (hopefully it has been updated) once we arrived, it was pure magic. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place to stay, we'll book again!

Max’s place was perfect for our family vacation. Our adult children joined together with us at Casa Mero. Check in was easy. Max met us and helped us get in and showed us around. The place was spacious and had stunning views. We had everything we needed. We prepared meals in the kitchen, as it was too chilly to use the outdoor kitchen in the evenings. Local restaurants were super convenient and fun to check out! We rented mountain bikes per Max’s recommendation and had a blast. Yoga was a short walk from the house. Beaches were also a short walk away. Highly recommend Casa Mero!

The pros of this place or in the outdoors, it is an incredibly large property, with lots of really cool ways to dine and lounge outside. The cons were in the upkeep, there are many things that need to be looked at if you're going to charge as much money as you do to stay here. We were seven people, and only one decent shower to share among our group, the other three showers had very low water pressure and no hot water. Most of the drawers in the kitchen and bedrooms are off-balance and jammed shut. Most of the dishes needed to be cleaned even though they had been put away. There were only two dish towels and no paper towels offered, although Max did bring them to us when we asked for more. One of the lawn chairs was broken, one of the shades was broken, one of the screen doors was broken, and one of the lights in the main bathroom had a strobe effect. The bottom line takeaway is that it's a nice property, good for big groups, but it needs a lot of repair and attention.

This was a great home. We were in the area for a family wedding. This place accommodated my whole family with all the grandkids. Lots of safe space for toddlers to run around with supervision of course and all the grandkids enjoyed the beautiful pool. The sunrise was awesome to watch over the water from the rooftop. The beach was a short walk

Our favorite house ! We spent one week with friends and had a great moment. It is very private and well closed for dogs. The garden is impeccable as for the swimming pool with beautiful flowers attracting colorful birds. Each guests had big rooms with very confortable beds. But our favorite was the huge Palapa with the outside kitchen. Booking allready for next year :-)

Perhaps my favorite place to stay in the 10 years I have been visiting La Ventana! Highly recommended! Wonderful value!

We loved the property!!! It’s absolutely stunning. Extra comfortable with plenty of towels, linens, and fully stocked kitchen. The outdoor space is awesome, although it was a bit too hot to utilize it much this time of year. The sunrise is gorgeous. Max was outstanding and accommodating. He drove from La Paz to meet with us and he was so gracious. We had a few hiccups with the hot water heater turning off but Max and the caretaker Luis was on it each time. Walkable to our favorite restaurant La Moringa, tons of other restaurants and markets. Highly recommend this property!

We had a wonderful stay. Short walk to beach, fruit stand, farmers market, market, restaurants and coffee shops from the house. Food and ambience at Nomada restaurant was especially good. We hope to come back again.

What can I say absolutely one of my favorite places to stay ever. It's nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of cabo. Casa mero was right next to the beach as well as my favorite restaurants in la ventana : la moringa & nomada- walking distance also to kilo, a coffee shop. It was a very quiet house which was great to spend a peaceful new years even with loud music everywhere , once we turned on the ac in the room, it was peace and tranquility. Really enjoyed the layout of the house. Will be back again.

House is very comfortable and in a great location. We mountain biked at both trailheads from the house. Easy walk to restaurants and great coffee, literally 2 minutes. Beach access is down quite a few steps, but we hauled our paddle boards down and so worth it. Tons of rays jumping and swimming all around. Perfect way to start your day. We ate and cooked most meals outside in the huge palapa and the kids had never ending hide and seek games on the property. Max was great and easy to communicate with throughout. Highly recommend.

Beautiful place for a group or family gathering. The kitchen is very well stocked. The house is awesome, and the outdoor spaces super cool. We didn't use the pool much because the weather was unusually cool while we were there and it's not heated. This place is in a great location - you can walk to restaurants, pharmacy, and shops easily. Also it was quiet for sleeping which was nice. Maximiliano was very responsive to questions and took good care of us.

Casa Mero is an incredible place to stay in El Sargento. It is incredibly spacious and has ample room for sleeping several families. The large outdoor kitchen and seating area were a nice bonus, and the pool was lovely. It is a 5 minute walk down to the beach, which is a great spot for launching kites with excellent wind. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of a group of nice restaurants and shops. There is a sweet pitbull named Azul who lives at the property and who became a part of our group, following us around the town and to the beach. He is a sweetheart and is as gentle as a lamb, though if you are not a fan of large dogs, this may not be the place for you. We found him to be a lovely addition to an already lovely property. We will certainly stay here again.

What an amazing retreat! We stayed as 3 families - 11 people in total. Kids spent countless hours running around the property playing hide and seek, and exploring the many cool spots and areas outside. The outdoor kitchen hosted a great Thanksgiving dinner for 20, and we invited chefs to cook it right there. The pool isn’t heated, so it didn’t get much use in November. An amazing hotel/restaurant called Casa Tara is 5 min on foot, where we at some breakfasts and dinners. Same with an outdoor veggie market and a small supermarket. The place isn’t on the beach, but everything is super close. Overall, a very unique experience. Thank you!

An excellent place for families, super large, comfortable, with the best location in El Sargento, you have everything you need at hand. It has everything you need for an excellent time. The pool temperature is excellent, the sunrise views unbeatable. In general, a very good stay, just keep in mind that the beach that is nearby is not even for walking, it is practically inaccessible, the water in the whole house is medium salty, but it is understood by the atmosphere. Max super attentive, a little slow communication, but very friendly, I even let us know what we needed to have shade on the beach.

La Paz is so beautiful! Staying here just made it better. The pictures don’t justify how pretty it is. I love the location and how there’s a lot of things nearby. The beach is literally like a 3 minute walk and they even built a walkway down the beach. Max and Karla were super attentive. I was able to get a band of musicians for my birthday and some recommendations on where to eat nearby because of them. Getting a car is definitely a plus!!!! So I definitely recommend a car for your stay. Balandra Beach is about a 30-40 minute drive from there and Cabos San Lucas was about an hour and a half from there. It would’ve been nice to have a cleaning lady come and pick up a bit but overall it was an amazing experience and I would definitely come back.

Great spot, with excellent outdoor recreation space. Bedrooms are designed for sleeping lots of people. Awesome place for a kiteboarding group. Have to walk down the beach a bit to launch, but as home base for a week of adventure it is excellent.

The space was large and inviting. I liked the space even better than I thought I would from the pictures. There was much more light inside than I expected. It was also nice to go up to the rooftop in the morning for the sunrise and to watch the stars at night. There are lots of dogs and roosters in the area, so if you are a light sleeper then be sure to take a noise maker, earplugs, or use an app on your phone. We definitely underutilized the space as there was only 4 of us. However, we enjoyed every bit. There were several nice restaurants within just a couple of blocks. Maximiliano was very kind and communicative. I would go back.

Maximiliano's space was more than we could have expected and the pictures show. The whole main floor of the house is dinning, lounging and kitchen, all of which opens to the outside space. And outside has double the usable space as the house, perfectly put together with multiple bbq / cooking areas, seating, eating, both covered and open.. Its really a beautiful space. The views from upstairs and the roof top are stunning. I would highly recommend staying here if you have a chance, especially with a larger group. It is also a 5 min walk to cafe shops and restaurants, very quite location, very secure and safe.

Beautiful place that would accommodate a large crowd...with a beautiful view of the ocean...

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Mero! The house was beautiful and very well equipped, especially in the kitchen. The pool was great, and the view was too. We really loved all of the comfortable seating areas and the palapa was the best place to eat dinners or just relax. The house is centrally located within walking distance to the oxxo and a few delicious restaurants. Mariscos el Cone, Nomada, and San Siro Risto were all yummy. It's an easy 5 minute walk to the beach access, because the house is set back from a cliffy beach area. But if you want to drive with kayaks or gear you can. The beach was nice and we snorkeled and swam right from there. Check in was easy.

Casa Mero is such a beautiful home with amazing amenities and beautiful ocean views. The palapa had ample seating areas- the bbq and bar areas were great for outside dinners and beautiful sunrise views. The rooms were all comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed. The living room and dining areas had amazing views towards the pool and the ocean beyond it, with big glass sliding doors to be able to enjoy these views. Maximiliano was quick to respond to any questions we had and whatever minor problems we did encounter were taken care of immediately! Casa mero is great for housing big or small groups and there is definitely something for everyone there. Our stay couldn't have been better.

Our visitors consisting of 2 families with a total 4 children of which 2 were babies had a wonderful time at Casa Mero. The outdoor but sheltered dining space was great and the babies loved the pool even though they were there early in the season so it was a little chilly. There were nice shady places for shelter from the already hot sun. The path to the beach - a dirt path and fairly steep stairs is probably not the best for people with mobility problems but car access to the beach was easy. The warm water pools were 12km away by car. The available water craft was much appreciated and the neighborhood friendly. The girls loved the coral reefs and puffer fish seen during a diving expedition. All and all a great experience and a happy group of people.

Casa Mero exceeded our expectations! The property itself is spectacular and the house is magnificent! The house is very spacious and well equipped for cooking and entertaining. The rooms were sparkling clean and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed cooking in the outdoor kitchen and lounging by the pool in the morning sun. I would highly recommend Casa Mero. It is truly a hidden gem. Thank you Max for being such an attentive, gracious host!

Beautiful house. Would stay there again if in La Ventana. 1 block from a really good organic restaurant

The accommodation is truly dreamy, offers everything you need and more to have the best vacation! Maximiliano was attentive at all times and paid attention to every detail. The house exceeded our expectations, the land is very large, with a basketball court, secret garden, campfire, game center, bar, barbecue, hammock and pizza oven. The fully equipped kitchen, We had a spectacular weekend, the beach is very close. We really loved it!!!! I hope to be back soon!
