We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa de Luna Nueva. The house was spacious and very comfortable. The pool area was a great place to spend time— a beautiful garden with shaded areas and wonderfully cool water no matter how hot the day had been. The pictures were very much true to what the house is like. Sylvie and Clay were very attentive and friendly. Great hosts. The neighborhood where the house is located is a bit further away from the main attractions and restaurants, but once you get your bearings it is manageable. Also, Uber works very well in Merida. We highly recommend the Casa de Luna Nueva.

The house was impeccable, everything matched the photos, and Sylvie's service was excellent. We will definitely return.

Let me start with how beautiful the house was. Everyone loved it. I really didn't want to leave. Sylvie was a great host who answered any and all questions I had. She also offered a list of near by places to visit while in town which was very helpful. I would definitely stay here again when I come back.

If anything the description and photos of the house are understated .. it is absolutely stunning with so much care and attention gone into the restoration. It is such a lovely space to be in it sometimes made it difficult to leave and go and explore Merida! Having wandered around the town or day trips outside of Merida it was always so nice to return and relax in Casa Luna Nueva. Sylvie was a great host, always incredibly prompt, helpful and friendly. We stayed for 5 days and loved our time in Merida.

A perfect stay. Hosts Sylvie and Clay were friendly, responsive and gave us lots of good local tips. The house was stunning and immaculate with everything you could want and more. Mérida had a great vibe and the market at the end of the street was great for groceries. Wish we had booked a longer stay!

We had an absolute wonderful stay. We came to celebrate a wedding in Merida and this was the perfect place for us. The best part about it was a wonderful pool area which really helped us beat the heat – the setting was so beautiful and it was so nice to be able to have such a beautiful oasis to come and rest in. Sylvie was so quick to respond to any questions or concerns that we had everything was taken care of so beautifully. Thank you.

We were there for 8 days and the house is amazing. It's really worth it. The location is great, and when I have the chance to return with a friend and family, I would definitely stay in the same house.

Wonderful home in a great neighborhood. HUGE - even bigger than described/expected. A little big strange layout (2 bedrooms outside/behind the pool, only 1 bathroom in the main house), but worked great. Sylvie was very helpful and responsive. Everything was super clean, worked well and was very comfortable.

Amazing!! Often the photos of a place are better than the reality - the opposite could be said here. You don't really get a sense of the size in the photos but this house is incredible. We've had an amazing time and loved every second staying in casa Luna Nueva and it was a challenge to leave each day to go and explore. Sylvie has been a great host and has set a really high bar as this was my first Airbnb experience - thank you so much Sylvie for your help and recommendations.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay and would give this place more than 5 stars if we could. The accommodation was even more beautiful than the photos, spotless upon arrival, and equipped with everything we needed. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and every detail felt thoughtfully curated. The location was perfect, with a market, mini supermarkets, and local shops just around the corner, while the city center was an easy walk away. Despite being so central, it was peaceful and quiet, and we loved relaxing by the pool and listening to the birds in the courtyard. Communication with Sylvie and Clay was excellent. They were always quick to respond, very accommodating, and provided clear instructions for check-in and check-out. Thank you, Sylvie and Clay, for your hospitality and for sharing your beautiful property with us. We would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

It was by far, the best Airbnb experience I have ever had. We came for a family celebration and we couldn’t have had a better time. The house is in a very good location, it’s absolutely stunning. Everything is of great quality, even small details. The instructions are very clear and Sylvie is always available and super helpful. Even though Mérida was very hot, the house was always cool. There is no noise, you feel safe, you feel at home. There is a supermarket just next to the house and everything is walking distance. I will definitely come back to this place and recommend it 200%!

Perfect place to stay near centre of Merida. Beautiful pool to come back to in the hot weather. Peaceful oasis. Everything you need for a wonderful time. The house is even nicer than the photos. Very close to a nice square and market. Sylvie was very responsive and even bought a travel cot for our stay. Highly recommend.

The pool and garden area were truly magical. The whole feel of the home is like being at a resort, with plenty of cozy spots to relax. The stove is perfect for cooking, and the beds are super comfy. It’s definitely a great deal, especially considering it would cost twice as much in the US. All in all, it was truly dreamy!

This was our first trip to Mérida, and Casa Luna Nueva was the perfect place to stay. It was so central, a great launch spot for anywhere in town. As are most of the homes in the historic areas, this is a hidden gem. Unassuming from the street, but a luxurious oasis inside. The design is perfect to house several couples, yet offer privacy and personal space. Would highly recommend this property and look forward to visiting again!

Great place to stay. It was such a relief since it was our first time to Merida. Modern but natural, warm and comfortable. I loved how the rooms are spaced out. I even saw some hummingbirds in the morning on the tree near the rooftop. Perfect location, so close to walk to the Mercado and eat at La Lupita. One of the places mentioned a lot on YouTube. We left motivated, inspired and excited to return. The host is so prompt at responding to messages, I appreciate that so much. Overall highly recommended.

A world within a world within a world. The house is a beautiful lush sanctuary with all the modern appliances and an incredible pool. Each night one can gaze at the stars and listen to the tinkling of ivory’s at Santiago plaza. Sleeping in glorious bedrooms with comfortable beds and cozy sheets. Excellently located to all places in Merida Centro by walking and uber. A lovely local market with much to offer - an OX AND super aki next door. We cannot say enough about our hosts and the house. We had a magical month in Merida.

We had the pleasure of staying in Merida for 4 weeks. We loved this property and found it a perfect place to relax. The property is furnished with everything you need for a relaxing stay, the bed linens were all comfy, and the kitchen perfectly stocked. The pool and outdoor areas are great for relaxing and to cool down from the Merida heat. The location is perfect. There are so many nice spots to check out locally, so many great coffee spots. It’s also a short walk to all the major tourist spots and around a 20 minute walk to the Gastronomico street where you will find so many delights. We also have to call out the truly amazing hosts of this property. We were in Merida for a special life moment, and Sylvie made us feel so welcome. She went over and above to be flexible with our booking arrangements which made a huge difference to us. Salvador was fantastic to help us with anything we needed, and our daughter loved the pool man’s weekly visits. There is nothing not to love!

Our group of four enjoyed our stay and the incredible hospitality provided by Salvador and Sylvie. They were responsive to our needs, attentive and speedy with communication! We loved the pool and gym and the spaciousness of the home. It felt like being at a retreat!

It all comes down to a wonderful experience, because Sylvie and Salvador supported us from the beginning since another accommodation was canceled due to electrical failures; she was very nice and did her best to accommodate us quickly and provide us with all the attention upon our arrival. The house is even more beautiful than it looks in the photos. Its high ceilings make you feel totally free to rest and relax. Highly recommended for families looking for privacy and a central point to get to know Merida. The whole house worked perfectly, excellent cleanliness and comfort in the rooms and beds. We slept very well since the house has separate air conditioning, which makes it very pleasant so you don't suffer from the heat, which is almost 39 degrees outside. The pool is a warm gem, even at night, along with the vegetation of the house. The whole experience was really special since you don't want to leave the house. We would love to come back
