Nice place to stay in the area. Spacious and good location. Restaurant upstairs was great, and a nice place to hang out. Would stay there again.

Javi is a fantastic host. He has the town wired and can help you with just about anything you need, from surfboards, to fishing trips. The food his family made for us was fabulous. And the place is only getting better, as they are constructing a new bar and restaurant in the common area.

Javi is a wonderful host and his place is terrific and everything is as advertised. Know that Scorpion Bay is very remote and not for a tourist seeking luxury and resorts. It is for surfers chasing the swell. Some basic advice: 1- bring booties as the lava rocks are sharp and are everywhere along the shore. 2- bring Solarrez or some type of ding repair. Sometimes when the tide gets low your board might hit a rock if you drop down on a closeout. 3- bring enough pesos to get you through as long as you plan to stay. The town doesn’t take credit cards, the closest ATM and bank are about 3 hours away via car. Regardless of all that Javi is there to help at all hours of the night and is really a special host. Plus his sister who is an excellent cook will make meals for you as a very reasonable price. If you are a surf Nomad and want to visit Scorpion Bay, Javi’s is the place.

I stayed at Javi's place with 2 friends for 5 days, and it was a wonderful experience. Javi was very responsive, and helped us with all our needs. There is an A/C available, but we didn't need to use it, the provided fans in each room are enough. If you want to use the A/C, you will need to pay a little money for the gas that is needed to run the generator. Each room is also equipped with a TV and its own bathroom. Javi is such a wonderful host, he helped us with many things, even organized for 2 evenings a cooking at the house, so we just needed to come home from our surfing and sit at the tables and start eating. If you have a chance, take advantage of his place, it is in walking distance to the first point, and if you are a good walker with a surfboard, the second point might be also walkable. For the other points you might want to use your car if you come for surfing, or prepare for a longer walk. Otherwise everything important is in walking distance like a store, or a few restaurants. I can highly recommend to stay at Javi's place, I will return if possible.

Stayed in Javi’s 3 bedroom house for 8 days in August with my daughter and another friend. So very nice to have the air conditioning as it was hot and humid, we all slept like babies. Went fishing with Javi and Mele on a slow surf day and caught 9 dorado and 1 bonita in just a few hours on his boat. A great value and so very convenient to get just about anywhere in San Juanico. Javi and his family will welcome you and literally treat you like one of there own.

We enjoyed our time at Casa Javi. Fishing with Javi was great. He is an awesome host. The house is comfortable. Solar plus batteries give you more power than the rest of town. Stop in Constitución for gas, food, and cash. The town is cash only, no cards. The beds were nice and the room fans were powerful. We never opted for AC. If you want AC, you have to pay for the gas to run the generator. We cooked a lot of meals at home since there were not a lot of open restaurants. Javi took great care of us.

My friends and I had an amazing time at Javi's place. It is in prime location to everything. It's only a few minutes away from surfing 2nd and 3rd point. We very much appreciated that Javi would check in to make sure everything was "ok". This place is amazing, beyond spotless, and also has everything you need to stay. One of the many highlights of our trip was inviting Javi's family over for dinner. It was an amazing experience and the best fish tacos my friends and I have ever had. More importantly, it was a wonderful experience to have had the opportunity to eat together and talk about Scorpion Bay, Surfing, Fishing, and everything else in life. Javi and his family are just amazing and beyond hospitable. If you are a Surfer or a Fishermen. Javi's place is where you need to be. I highly recommend staying at Javi's and I look forward to returning there again soon.

The casita is the perfect spot to enjoy San Juanico. Javi & Keith were fantastic hosts and made our stay comfortable and easy. We blew a tire coming into town, and Javi was nice enough to take it into Ciudad Insurgentes and get it fixed for us. They were incredibly responsive to any questions or concerns we had during our stay, and were valuable sources of information for local tips and suggestions. The house is exactly as advertised and I really couldn't recommend it more! Thanks for everything guys! P.S. Thank you for all the amazing tuna, Javi!

Javi is a great host. He contacted us before we arrived and was there every day checking that everything was fine and that we felt at home. The house is very comfortable and has everything you need to spend a few pleasant days with friends. Just a few meters from the waves and with a little shop in front to buy whatever you need, this is the perfect spot!!! It was an Authentic Mexican Charm!!!! We love him! Thank you very much Javi for everything!!! We were very happy to meet you and we'll be back soon.

Expect a clean 3 bedroom house with large bathroom in each room. I found the mattresses to be of great quality and wish mine was as comfortable. Javi is an expert fisherman with a lifetime of local knowledge so i highly recomend you check out a fishing trip with him or even load up the boards and head to the Cadaje River Mouth for a surf and beach combing if you don't have the off road capability to make the long soft sand drive. Be sure to look in the shell covered driveways and floors around San Juanico for fossil shark teeth, we found several and my daughter has already made one into a cool necklace. This is a special place, have fun.

House was basic but new and comfortable. The wifi situation is bad, so I had to leave early since I could jot do any work. There needs to be at least 2 more fans. We were shuffling the 2 fans the entire time since we needed them in whichever rooms we were in, and one bedroom had to sleep with no moving air.

Javi's house is all you need. It's clean, newer construction and conveniently located on the main drag in San Juanico. Javi was a fantastic host and was very attentive to our needs. I'd recommend anyone to stay at this property.

Lovely and quaint place in the heart of San Juanico. Easy to walk to any of the stores and restaurants and walking distance to the beach and First Point. I loved the walled in and gated courtyard. We were able to park multiple vehicles safely inside the courtyard and one of our friends even set up a tent outside. Please note that power goes out in all of San Juanico about 11pm so bring some battery powered lights.

Clean, comfortable, recently constructed, 3 bed 3 bath and connected 1 bed 1 bath, kitchens in both. Located on the corner of La Jolla Road and the main road coming into town. Queen bed, TV and full bath in each room. Outdoor shower and gated off street parking in the compound. Check the surf at first point from the roof overlook. Easy walk to the surf points or too the pongas to get fresh fish. When we arrived Javier greeted us, gave us all the info on the place, and he offered to have a local chef cook our meals. We gladly accepted and loved the food. He is well connected in town and can help with most of your needs: food, boating, fishing, surfing, etc. If your Spanish is poor, Javier speaks some English. San Juanico is a small town - there is no Pemex, bank or cell service, so come prepared. Electricity is on in the town only in the evenings. WiFi is available at the hotel nearby.
