Truly amazing bnb. The photos of the don’t do it justice. Interior is much nicer than it appears in photos and the grounds are much larger than they look. Unbeatable views, privacy, security, walkability. Recommend getting the golf cart for easy trips downtown. Tia our hostess was super cool and responsive. She handled all the organization and scheduling so you can maximize your time actually enjoying the space/beaches. 10/10 would recommend.

The location was unbeatable. Across the street from the beach, and everything is a 10 minute cab ride away. House was also great and cleaned daily. Would recommend!

Our family had a wonderful stay at this villa. The property was exactly what we were looking for, spacious, clean, and perfect for a relaxing family vacation. The location was close enough to the beach, restaurants, and shops, yet still quiet and private. We especially enjoyed spending time in the outdoor area, the pool and garden made it easy to unwind and enjoy quality time w family. One of the highlights was seeing beautiful birds and even a toucan visiting the yard, it made the experience feel truly unique. The villa was well-equipped with everything we needed, and communication with the host was smooth and responsive from start to finish. Check-in and check-out were seamless, which made the whole experience very enjoyable. Special thank you to Daniela and James, you guys made our stay memorable with your hospitality.

Our travel group LOVED this villa and the team who made it so enjoyable. From booking to departure we didn’t have to think about a thing. We worked with Daniela and she was a dream. We all commented that this was the most relaxing trip we have taken by far. Highly recommend!

My first impression was"wow", it had exceeded my expectations, and when does that ever happen, never, especially if you have high standards like me. We were an extended family of 10, everyone had plenty of space including bathrooms. It was very tastefully appointed. When you stepped out the front door you were greeted by a good size swimming pool which also had toys for all ages, outside the gate was a small outdoor bar, which was perfect, across the dirt road was the beach, then the ocean where you were guaranteed a beautiful sunset every night. You couldn't ask for anything more Just remember that where you stay is part of your vacation experience, why not make it the best. We had an awesome time.

Perfect Family Getaway! We had an amazing time at this beautiful Airbnb. The house was spacious and perfect for our family of 7 couples and kids. The beach views were stunning, and Daniela was incredibly helpful with any small issues. The AC in each room was a lifesaver, and there were plenty of comfortable spots to relax. Nearby restaurants made dining easy. Highly recommend for a fantastic beach vacation!

This place was amazing super clean convenient. The Host Tia went above and beyond every day to make sure we were comfortable and having a good time. You’re right on the beach with the grass area in front at the nicest part of beach in Hako fully equipped with coffee maker and all the amenities that you can think of towels everything the pool was clean and beautiful and right on the beach. It was like a dream every day waking up to this. I would recommend anyone.

We hosted our first Thanksgiving in Costa Rica and everyone just loved Casa Rio Mar Grande! It was perfect for our large family (16 total), with plenty of space for everyone. The location was simply perfect, some of the kids surfed or swam at the beach, others lounged by the pool or sun bathed on the huge deck overlooking the Pacific! We enjoyed magnificent sunsets every evening and the cousins all went in to town in the evenings. Our kids ranged in ages from 14-27 and all loved every minute of this once in a lifetime vacation. Ronny the security guard was super friendly and helpful. Our concierge Tia was great too, always checking in on us and helping us arrange chefs for our special dinners and stopping by to see if there was anything we needed, overall a perfect venue for our large group! Thanks for such an amazing stay!

We had a fantastic stay in Jaco! We had 14 people during our stay (10 adults and 4 kids). We had plenty of room. Each bedroom had its own bathroom plus 2 by the pool. The rooms each had their own AC units and we had no issues with keeping our rooms cool. The house was perfect for us. The covered patios were great hang out areas. Our crew loved the swings on the front porch. We got married on the beach in front of the home. It was perfect! The staff was incredible (Tia & Ronnie thank you!!). Matt worked with us planning the big details for our wedding ahead of time. They helped make our wedding flawless. Chef Chris fixed us a fabulous meal at the house for our wedding dinner. The beach in front of the house is incredible - it’s flat and at low tide you have so much beachfront to play in! The sun deck provided awesome views of sunsets. Everyone enjoyed the pool daily. Security onsite 24/7 was a plus - we never felt unsafe. A huge win was the resturant 2 doors down - delicious!!!!

Our stay at Casa Rio Mar was amazing! The location was perfect, the house was a great size and Tia and Matt went over and above to make our trip as fun and enjoyable as possible.

What an amazing experience. House is clean, perfectly located, wonderful staff. Very safe and 24-hours security. I stayed at many properties and this one of the top for sure. Tia is superstar!

The house was huge, spacious, and clean. Has all the amenities that is needed for a comfortable stay. Best part was the restaurant, literally next door. We would wake up and order our food while sipping our coffee, staring at the amazing beach view!! Personally I rode the entire beach on horseback, and realized that the best beach was right in front of our air BNB. If you like boogie boarding trust me it's the best right in front of the house you will get to ride a wave literally once it breaks all the way in to shore. We had security 24/7 which made our stay so much more comfortable. Our host Tia, was so nice and hospitable. Got us anything we needed, whenever we needed it from beer deliveries, taxis, and even reservations at restaurants that were supposed to be closed haha. The best!!!

Fantastic location and wonderful staff - great for big families who want to stay right on the beach and have lots to do. We were a family group of 16 spanning 3 generations, and everyone loved it. There was plenty of space for us all to spread out and then come together for meals and activities. The concierges, Tia and Matt, were incredibly responsive and helped us arrange personal chefs, surfing, fishing charters, ATV rides, zip-lining and more. If there was any little issue with the house, Tia responded right away. 90 minutes from San Jose airport.

The house is beautiful and the location is perfect! The views, beach access and the pool were amazing. The deck is the best place on Jacó to watch the sunset . It is a magical place. The best part was the staff. From Roni and Juan who took care of every request, to the cleaning ladies and chefs David and Mackenzie. Everyone was kind and the services provided were top notch. Tia did an amazing job coordinating all the activities. The excursions we did were all very safe and incredibly fun. If you want to visit Costa Rica, this is a great place to stay at. They take care of everything for you. Can’t wait to go back

The house was exactly as advertised, no surprises, the entire staff was very nice and very helpful, the host Tia, was AWESOME, responded to our every need including food and liquor orders, and checked in every day through text messages, pool was great, beach was great, the air conditioning was perfect. No complaints about this property.

Everything you want from a home on the beach!

The property was located feet from the sand which was one of our favorite parts. All bedrooms were big and spacious and easily accommodated our group of 11 guys. We were minutes away from great restaurants and plenty of markets and shops for our other needs. They provided a concierge that greeted us upon arrival and attended to all our needs during our stay. It was a perfect trip I highly recommend this property.

I stayed with a party of 14, ranging in ages but all with vast experience traveling (for one of our group, Costa Rica was the 96th country he visited). This house, this host, this property manager, the concierge (the incredible Tia)… everything far, far exceeded our expectations and everyone was just so wonderful to work with. We had many shuttles, many excursions, bartenders, chefs, you name it - we weren’t “easy” - yet all was done and arranged for us with warm smiles. Incredible. If you’re reading this, you’re considering booking this place. If you’re considering booking this place - do yourself a favor and do it - book it. You won’t regret it! (Beach is beautiful and only steps away, home is lovely and well-appointed, concierge service is fantastic, restaurants right next door with great food and drinks. Can’t think of a thing to make it better. It’s perfect.)

Wow wow wow. This property was perfect for our large group of 16 in Jaco. Upon booking our reservation, the Casa Rio Mar team reached out to me and started planning our entire trip, from private airport transportation to recommendations, and booking our excursions like Manuel Antonio, ATV tour, ziplining, and a fishing charter. This house is the best house I saw on the entire Jaco beach. It is on the south side of Jaco, where lots of people go to surf. The house comes with surfboards and boogie boards and you are ready to surf just steps from the front door. The house is also next to a restaurant with fantastic ceviche and fish tacos. Our concierge Tia was also lovely. I would highly recommend and hope to come back!

We had an absolute blast staying here. The experience exceeded any expectations we had and then some.

Casa Río Mar was great! We stayed here with 9 adults and 3 kids and the house had more than enough room. 5 bedrooms are en suite, which was really nice, and the other 4 bedrooms had shared bathrooms. Tia (concierge) was super attentive and responsive (even when we needed a taxi at 830pm), Ronny and Juan (security guards) were so helpful throughout the day, and Matt (stay coordinator) was helpful for pre planning. Everything from when we got off the plane was coordinated so well (airport transfer, Fernando was great!, excursions, in house chefs, etc). By the way, for a big group, I highly recommend having in house chefs - so easy to stay in and have a chef prepared meal.

Such an amazing location- right on beach, accessible surfing, pool outside! We traveled up and down the coast to national parks, another perk of the location. The concierge service was very helpful- highly recommend the chef service as well!! Adding the extra bedrooms will make the house even more amazing!

This place is awesome and the location was great! It is perfect for large groups as there are many bedrooms and beds. It is steps from the ocean, a short walk to the jungle, and a quick ride to town. Would certainly recommend the golf carts to get around in terms of groceries and dinner. For evening, it was easy and cheap to get a cab just by talking with security. The property itself has tons of things to offer. Amazing beach and sunset views, party deck, large pool, and just great landscaping. The staff and concierge is really what takes this property over the top. Leading up to your visit they will help you plan activities, food, etc. Upon arriving there is a concierge always available if you need things. They will come hang out to make sure things get kicked off and are just a text away if you need anything. They will make it happen. Groceries, DJs, excursions, reservations, etc. There is security there 24 hours which is great piece of mind and they really look out for you which is amazing. Certainly a five star property and service.

I’ve stayed at a lot of airbnbs and this takes the cake as the best ever. Went with a bachelor party of 12 guys (I was the best man) and it went beyond expectations. The concierge Matt helped with everything leading up to the stay and was always quick with responses, and then Tia was there once we got there and was the true hero of our whole weekend. Ronnie and Juan, our security guards on premises 24 hours, were great too. Pool was great, AC was great, chef services were great, ATV they recommended was the best. Incredible access to the ocean, surfing, and nightlife. They let us check in early and check out late for no extra cost. A true 11/10. Bachelor party or not, I couldn’t recommend higher

BEAUTIFUL home in equally beautiful Jaco! This wonderful mansion was home to 4 couples for a wedding week and did not disappoint! From touchdown at airport, communication was seamless with our host, Matt! Transportation was arranged and in-house meals were prepared by a wonderful chef! Local town is super accessible for daily errands, and local restaurants are but steps away. The most beautiful beach provided the perfect oasis to relax for 5 days! Highly recommend this home if you are considering Jaco!

This is one of the few places that the pictures don't do justice. It is right on the beach and when low tide comes you have a huge beach area to enjoy. The waves and water were perfect. We came for a bachelor party and having Grant their to help out made everything run smoothly and allowed everyone who came to get what they want out of the area. The house is also right next to a restaurant and bar that delivers and any adventure activity is easily bookable and accessible. Honestly one of the best places I've stayed at and the whole group had a great time.

A group of Friends stayed for a wonderful 4 days. The home is very private , clean and great for family or group get aways . Lots of rooms and bathrooms for everyone to spread out. Most importantly the property managers are very responsive and accommodating . We will def be staying here again . We very much enjoyed all of the outdoor space , pool , kitchen , walk into the beach , huge upstairs deck to watch sunsets and a very comfortable couch inside to stream Netflix , etc. Internet works great as well !

Great house in a great location with a lot of privacy. The house is located on the beach, has 24 hour security, has very spacious rooms (each with a bathroom), fantastic pool and lots of associated services (chef, shuttles, etc). The house also comes with a manager that can assist with all the services, which was very helpful. Overall, I would recommend this house.

There was a guest the night before that had COVID so Our group wasn’t able to stay at the place. James did try to find us other solutions

The house is gorgeous. It’s on the end of road and it’s beach after the house. Every room was spotless. Grant our host was great. He had a lot of great tips and suggestions. He was easy to get a hold of and very responsive.

We had an amazing time on our family trip. Our kids absolutely loved it and spent most waking moments in the pool. The view and access to the beach were perfect. We stayed here for a bachelor party and it couldn't have been a more perfect house for our group of 9 guys. Just steps from the beach in a quieter area of Jaco, yet still close enough to town, you really get the best of both worlds. We loved spending time hanging at the pool, and swimming in the ocean. On top of that, the manager Matt helped us plan some awesome activities for the weekend, which made our trip extra special.

The location of this home is perfect, right on the beach. Very close taxi ride to the bars and clubs. Pictures don't do the home justice. If you're doing a large bachelor party like we did, I would suggest paying extra for a maid (atleast two or 3 times in your stay) as it can get messy quick. I also suggest taking the hike up to the abandoned hotel (Ruins of El Miro), it gives the best view in Jaco! Overall, we had an amazing trip and would definitely come back!

Our experience at Casa Rio Mar Grande exceeded any expectations. The house is new and beautiful, and is located at the private part of the beach but still close enough to beach bars, surf schools, and easy trips to the center of town for dinner/nightlife. We visited Jaco for 5 days to celebrate my birthday. The concierge services offered by Matt were excellent - all of his suggestions were perfect for our group. The service was amazing from the chefs who prepared breakfast every morning to the security guards who took extra care and attention, and were super friendly. Booking this villa is booking an experience!

Our trip to Costa Rica was EPIC thanks to our stay in Jaco and the hard work Jim & Matt put into making it an amazing experience. 15 of us stayed at Casa Rio Mar (Grande) for a bachelor, travelling from Toronto & Vancouver and the level of advanced planning by the Casa team led to a fully customized, memorable vacation experience. The house is located on the south end of Jaco beach (nicest end, slightly removed from the main strip) and has an unobstructed view directly on the ocean. Everything you could ask for in a beachfront villa and comfortably fit the entire group. Matt coordinated shuttles to & from SJO Airport for all of us, in-house chef services as we saw fit, golf carts to drive around Jaco, canopy zip-lining, ATV tours, plenty of beach/pool time and mapped it all out in an easy to follow, fully customized itinerary. The communication start to finish was flawless (booked approx. 5 months in advance) and the team even went above & beyond to arrange additional shuttles for 3 of us that visited Monteverde, Costa Rica in advance of Jaco. End of February and we had 90+ degree weather, sunny every day and the pool & ocean were super warm. All 15 of us left Costa Rica with smiles & great memories thanks to our stay - would definitely visit Jim's villa again!

We had a blast while staying at this amazing house. The house is absolutely amazing with plenty room to accommodate our group for business meeting. The ocean facing balconies, sundeck and covered patio, we had plenty of room to have several different break-out meetings. The pool, house and sundeck all have great views of the ocean and unforgettable sunsets. Matt helped organize everything on our trip from chef services, white water rafting, and water fall rappelling. Thanks for everything and we look forward to coming back to visit.

Casa Grande Rio Mar is a great place to chill by the beach and enjoy Jaco!

Our stay at James’s place was far beyond our expectations, I would definitely recommend staying there. You get the whole 9 yards when you stay there.. from the beach footsteps away, to the beautiful sunsets, the gorgeous resort style pool, and 24 hr on-site security! You also get the option of having a private chef, which I highly recommend doing. The presentation of the dishes and taste was all there! Our host was Matt, he was there right from the beginning, was extremely helpful.. from arranging pick up to and from the airport, offering tours around town and/or excursions.. (rafting,Atv,zip line)you name it anything we needed he would make it happen. Our driver was Juan Carlos, and he was very informative and knowledgeable. Matt would be there every morning to assure everything went as planned with our excursions/plans. I had my bachelor party there along with 16 guys, and the house was big enough for all of us to be comfortable without feeling too suffocated. I would definitely stay there again!!

He also provided great recommendations for surfing and ATV's. Overall this was a great experience and I would definitely go back.

Beautiful house right on the beach in Jaco, you can't beat the location. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for an amazing house and an owner that's very accomodating.

Jim's place was the perfect setup for our large bachelor party group. We had 11 guys stay in the house with additional rooms for overflow at a hotel no more than 100 meters down the beach. The house couldn't be in a better location. It's RIGHT on the beach, and in a better way that most of the other houses down there. It has a little private lawn with beach chairs right out front, and the property feels like it's closer to the beach than any of the others. It's about a 20 minute walk to the center of town, but if you don't want to leave you don't have to. There's a great little surf school and cafe right next door where we ate most of the trip for breakfast and lunch. The house is extremely nice and marbled through out. There is plenty of space and plenty of bathrooms to make sure everyone feels comfortable. Jim was a fantastic host. He was on point with everything from recommendations to booking activities. He was welcoming, hospitable, and understanding. No fuss. I highly recommend this place for both group vacations and families. It accommodates all.

Not many words can describe how amazing my stay at Casa Rio Mar was. First of all I would like to start with the amazing host Matt, from weeks before I arrived he planned a whole itenary for me and my friends. He made sure he was getting us the most cost effective and enjoyable activities. Once I arrived to the house he greeted us with a huge welcoming smile and would constantly make sure we have everything taken care of. Not only was he amazing before and during the trip but after the trip he was in touch and wanted to make sure everything was perfect. Thanks Casa Rio Mar for an unbelievable time we would be deff coming back again.

By far one of the nicest houses and location I've stayed at on my many vacations. House was beautiful and accommodated all my friends. The service was great, the maids were great, we had a security 24 hours a day, we were literally right on the beach, what else can you ask for! Matt was great, he set us up for some Atv action which was amazing.
