Sonia's place was perfect for what we were looking for- central to activities, clean, lots of room for the family to spread out. The sunset view was impeccable!

The place is very cozy, well equipped and very central. Many dining options nearby; plus a supermarket, pharmacy and bus stop within walking distance.

Sonia’s place was in a fantastic location right by a bus stop and various restaurants with fantastic views. She was super responsive to any concerns that we had and was a huge help with setting up a tour at the national park. Our only critique were the bugs in the home. This was a personal preference and is probably normal for most places in the area but not something we expected before the visit. Overall a fantastic stay!

l would recommend Sonia's place. We stayed for the month of Feb. Full kitchen, best sunset pictures from the living room. The house was huge, comfortable. Sonia was an excellent hostess. I can't wait to return. The house is situated on top of the mountain. Slight ocean view from the front deck. Restaurants all around, and a bank right across the street. Not to mention Emillios cafe on the corner, best coffee, views. Outstanding. Thanks Sonia.

Safe, comfortable space perfectly located for access to restaurants & shops. Perfect spot for the great, convenient local bus to the beach that everyone uses. A little noisy when local bars have music, but that was only on one night in our case. Very good, reasonably-priced lodging.

Host Response

I have a hard time understanding how a great location defined by the guest themselves gets a 4.

Sonia a great host. She greated us at arrival. She explained how the bus works, where to find the groceries, suggested restaurants. If you had a question, she would reply immediately Her place is exctaly like the the pictures. It is located in a very convenient place. A little groceries store right across the street. Bus stop a few steps away both directons. To go to quepos a 10 minures bus ride, to Manuel Antonio parc 10 minute bus ride. I would defenetily stay there again for longer period as this would be a good base to explosre other areas. directoin

Sonia is an amazing host! The location was central and very convenient, literally 2 doors down is a FREE pool (with $10 purchase happy hour is 3-6pm) so you get to enjoy a refreshing dip without the price tag. The suite was super spacious with large living room and kitchen. Manual Antonio is located on the side of a mountain and even though the beach is very close, it is a solid 30 min hike. But you can drive down (there is parking) and you can take the public bus, or you can get a great workout. We hiked it daily and really enjoyed it. Last thing to keep in mind is that you are downtown Manual Antonio, which is great to easily walk around and enjoy all the town has to offer. You do hear the traffic sounds during the day until about 10pm when everything gets super quiet. It was not a problem for us at all, but you should keep it in mind when booking- if you want peace and quiet 24/7 you should probably choose something outside of the main strip of the town.

This place was absolutely wonderful. So comfy and clean. It really felt like home. The beds were super comfortable and there were facilities in the property for everything you need. It’s on a busy road and it means that shops, restaurants and bars are very close by, and you are in walking distance of all you need. Sonia gave great recommendations for places to go to which we followed. Staying here meant the last two nights of our holiday to Costa Rica was in a really comfortable home. I recommend this as a great place to stay.

My wife, daughter and I enjoyed our stay! The apartment is spacious and comfortable with a nice deck. We could walk to very good restaurants. Sonia’s nearby free beach recommendation was perfect. We spent a beautiful day there. It’s a very short drive or a longish walk (where you will see lovely homes and sloths) down a hill. We walked partway down the hill the first day and drove to the beach the second day. On our walk we saw a sloth carrying her baby!

Beautiful spot! Conveniently close to several restaurants and shops. A quick bus ride from the beach and National Park.

Great central stay in Manuel Antonio! The location is very central—right across from a mini supermarket, bakery, and several restaurants, which made everything super convenient. There was parking available for two cars, which was a big plus. Sonia was amazing to communicate with and always available when we had questions. She also kindly allowed us to check in early, which we really appreciated. The space was spotless and very spacious, easily accommodating our family of five (including a toddler). The elevated layout and surrounding greenery made it feel like staying in a treehouse, which we loved. It’s important to note that the property is on the main road, so you can hear some traffic, but it didn’t bother us and we slept just fine. Overall, a great stay and we would happily recommend it.

We stayed at Sonia's place for the second time. Like the last time, everything was great. The house has a very inviting flair and you just feel comfortable. The street is a bit noisy but it has the advantage that the bus stop is right outside the door with which you can go directly to the beach or to the city of Quepos. Everything was clean and the house is very cozy. In the evening you can sit together in the living room. I am sure that I will book Sonia's place a third time. Thank you for everything!

We absolutely loved staying in Sonia’s Airbnb! It was in a perfect location and walkable to many great restaurants and small grocery stores. It was super convenient that all of our reserved tours picked us up across the street in the mini shopping center as well. We loved coming back to our Airbnb and relaxing in the patio, surrounded by her beautiful garden! If we’re ever back in Manuel Antonio, we’d definitely stay with Sonia again!

had a wonderful stay in manuel antonio! sonia was very friendly and responded quickly to messages. the place was exactly as shown and described, we had everything we needed! the location is great, close to many shops and great restaurants. i highly recommend staying here if you're visiting, you won't regret it!

The location is great — very close to Manuel Antonio National Park and within walking distance to restaurants, which was very convenient. However, there were a few issues during our stay. The shower only has a small electric shower head to heat the water, so the water was mostly cold. The room was also quite humid, and we did find a cockroach inside the house, which was uncomfortable. The stay was okay overall, but these issues are important to know before booking.

Sonia’s place was a great location . 8 minute taxi drive to Manual Antonio National Park. Many close restaurants and a grocery store. Many things to do in Manual Antonio . Bus stop and taxi pickup right across the street. Walk to Tulemar Resort and walk down the steep hill to La Playa Tulemar beach. There is suppose to be a beach path but we did not find it. We got a pass to go to the their restaurant . Lovely view and great food. Their shuttle will give you a ride back up the steep hill , they won’t provide transportation down. We used their lounge chairs . Nobody gave us a bad time. We spent one day going on tour to Nauyaca . Don’t miss that ! We spent 5 nights there. Very affordable. It is located along the main road and you do get lots of noice from motorcycles and other vehicles. We got use to it. But, any accommodations close to the main road would get the same noice.

It was a good location in respect to resstsraunts and activities. There is not a water view unless you walk to the gate and look through the trees, which is fine, but it looked a bit different in the pictures. I would say it was very clean but the mildew smell was very strong and the place was dark, dank and wet from windows being open. We had to really dry it out with the mini splits requiring it to be kept very cold with those and fans. Not much can be done about it of course- that is just the coast living and it is a dark place but I think turning the air on before guests arrive may go a long way in helping. The cleanliness and responsiveness and I go provided by Sonia was all very much appreciated and it was a good value for the price for a place to stay for a few days.

We stayed for two weeks with my partner and loved it. Check-in and check-out were flexible, we arrived right after our shuttle and left right on time, super convenient. Sonia was a wonderful and responsive host, communication was easy, and she made sure everything went smoothly during our stay. The apartment is large, clean, and well located in the center of Manuel Antonio. The kitchen is fully equipped, with AC in both bedrooms and fans in the main and outdoor areas. Wi-Fi works best in the main room, sometimes weaker in the bedroom but still fine for work. The outdoor bed is amazing, you can sit there even in the rain under the roof. The garden is amazing, with monkeys and birds visiting. There’s a helpful neighbor next door if you need anything. Place is safe and peaceful, but there is road noise. Shops and cafés are nearby, 2 beaches in ˜25 min walk. You can take bus to the main beach and national park. Perfect stay overall.

Sonia's house is located in front of the Proamerica Bank and a mini-supermarket. You can walk to restaurants, shops, bakeries and all the necessary services. It is close (by car) to the National Park and Espadilla beach (approx. 2.9 km) and Biezans beach (approx. 1.5 km). The location is very convenient and also feels very safe. It is simple, tidy and clean, located on the first floor, upstairs there is another accommodation, the parking is right next to the house, inside the property. The rooms are spacious, the mattresses are comfortable, there is storage space and the air conditioners work well, the bathroom is spacious and comfortable with many towels. The kitchen is equipped with the basics for cooking, dining room for 4, the living room is spacious and comfortable, the TV works very well. All are complemented by a terrace where you can rest or eat. Sonia is friendly and responds quickly, she helped us with a flexible check-in and check-out. We had a great time! Thank you Sonia.

Sonia is a sweetheart!! Always attentive, we had several situations that were not his responsibility and yet he always helped us in everything! Super friendly and attentive, she made us feel at home

Beautiful house on the upper floor. It's old but very well maintained, all in wood, with a beautiful balcony. Located on the road to the park, the only thing is the intense noise of motorcycles and trucks from early on, but hey, it's a place to enjoy and walk from early on. Sonia was very helpful and was always willing to help us, from the time of booking. We really enjoyed our stay at Sonia's house!

Our stay was very comfortable in Sonia’s Airbnb. It came as advertised, including good household supplies. Sonia was quick and responsive to any and all questions we had that come up during our stay. The location is conveniently close to supermarkets, a bank, many restaurants and souvenir shops, the beach, and an information office called Quepoa where you can schedule a variety of excursions with transportation and guides included. After adventures outdoors, returning to Sonia’s Airbnb felt like coming home. The AC worked great, which is essential for cooling down after hiking through the humidity outside under the tropical sun.

This was the fifth time we have stayed at Sonia's and each time's even better than the last. This home is so comfortable and perfect for us that we now feel like it's our actual second home! We love the location - it's across from a store and bank and is near numerous excellent restaurants. The bus stop is right outside and the bus, which comes every ten to fifteen minutes, will take you to the beach or Quepos for about 75 cents. The home itself is comfortable and has excellent WiFi and quality appliances. The air conditioning in the bedrooms is excellent and the space cools down quickly; you don't really need it in the living room. My favorite thing to do there is to sit outside on the patio and watch for wildlife. I spend hours out there reading and relaxing. The plants Sonia has in the yard and in pots all around make you feel like you're in a botanical garden! And, Sonia is friendly and helpful and the property is very safe and easy in every way. We can't wait to go back again!

Once we found Sonia’s place everything was fantastic! It is right in the middle of town with many restaurants nearby to walk to, we loved Cafe Milagro right next door. The rooms were comfy, the balcony was nice, and the book shelf was a bonus.

This place made me feel at home with a family member or friend; it had everything. It's very cozy and comfortable. In addition, it is close to supermarkets, restaurants and the bus stop, allowing you to move around Manuel Antonio easily, in case you travel without a vehicle. I would recommend it, no question.

This place was beyond fantastic. When we walked up the stairs and into the apartment we could not believe how big it was! And the ceilings were nice and high. For those who may like a quieter stay, this might not be the right place for you. The apartment is right in the main road. We loved it because of the ample amenities all around and because Biesanz beach (the swimming beach) is right down the road (5 min drive, 20 min walk). We saw so many animals on the walk down. Sonia was a fantastic host. The apartment was absolutely incredible - we would stay again. We even had monkeys on our deck during the rain one day. 10 coconuts out of 10!

Sonia's house is beautiful, vintage and full of style. We found it perfectly clean and tidy with good quality beds, fans and air conditioning. Only the kitchen had damaged and unusable pans. The location is very convenient to visit Manuel Antonio Park but close to the road and noisy places. Sonia responded quickly when we had problems. The cost of accommodation, however, is a bit excessive.

Sonia’s place was in a good location - walkable to many restaurants and activities. Parking was available although we didn’t need it. Two nice beaches about a 2 km walk away but beware they are downhill on the way there and uphill in the way back!

Very excellent location close to NP Manuel Antonio. We had a car but used the bus instead which is cheap 380CRC and very convenient to get to and from the NP or the beach. Sonia was a great host and very welcoming. The fully equipped kitchen was a lifesaver when travelling with a baby. Noise is a bit of a downside, but this is due to the location on the main road.
