The home is exactly as described. It was surprisingly easy to find and the instructions for getting in were very clear. The house is amazing. We couldn’t have asked for anything better.

We can’t say enough about Claire and Steve’s hospitality! They were excellent communicators and provided clear, helpful instructions throughout our stay. The house had everything we needed and truly felt like a home away from home. We especially loved spending time out on the deck and relaxing by the pool. It was the perfect place to enjoy our time in Tamarindo, and we would absolutely recommend staying here!

This was our 5th trip to Costa Rica. It is our paradise! This was definitely our favorite house so far. The house is exactly as described and shown in the photos. It's in a perfect location for a short drive to several beaches. The hosts reached out to me prior to our stay with details, information and great recommendations. The hosts were always pleasant, friendly and quick to respond. The house was exceptionally clean and had all the comforts of home. The kitchen is well appointed and the host was thoughtful to leave fresh fruit, a few groceries, wine and filtered water. Having a washer and dryer was really a plus so we didn't have to pack dirty clothing. The house is gated with great lighting outside so we felt comfortable and safe at all times. It was easy to find, easy to access and the view took my breath away. My favorite part of every day was relaxing in the pool and enjoying the gorgeous view. The sunsets from this house will heal your soul!

My family and I loved our stay here! The home was so clean and matched the photos and description. It was very peaceful and our kids loved the pool. The hosts were so helpful with directions, communication and everything went so smoothly. The patio on the second floor was our favorite, we loved sitting out there during the rain it was so peaceful. I highly recommend to stay here and we are hoping to stay again on our next visit to Costa Rica.

I don’t have enough time to write all the wonderful things about not just the home, but Claire & Steve as well. But to start, the home and view are both breathtaking. If you’re looking for privacy, this will do. Only the neighbor on the one side can see into your pool area, but they would have to make a purposeful attempt. It was also very quiet for the entire stay as well. The hosts also went above and beyond to provide all kitchen amenities and some food. They also are incredibly quick to respond to any communication and seem genuinely happy to help. 10/10 home, it was painful to leave. Thank you guys

Claire & Steve were great hosts! Communication was great! Early check in was available without even having to ask! We have an itinerary and they pointed us in the direction for all the places and things we wanted to do! Very very helpful! Home was nice just a lot of bugs (which are out of the hosts control due to the surroundings of the home).

The experience was simply lovely, honestly a 10/20. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations: the house was impeccable, very well equipped and cared for in every detail. The effort to make guests feel comfortable and at home is very noticeable. The atmosphere is beautiful, quiet and perfect to disconnect or enjoy with friends or family. Communication with the host was excellent, always attentive and willing to help. It's definitely a place I'd go back to without thinking twice. Super recommended for anyone looking for a quality stay, comfortable and without any problem.

We had a beautiful stay here. The place was just spectacular and we didn't want to leave. The pics match the place and views were amazing. Very comfortable home. Definitely need a good car to get up the steep hill. Would definitely book again.

Claire and Steve’s home is beautiful and is stocked with everything you need. They left some basics out to welcome us which was perfect!! The home is private with a beautiful view, well-decorated and clean! The pool was amazing, adding both to the ambiance and functionality of the home. Our kids (teens/tweens) had a blast. We love that it’s accessible to the buzz of Tamarindo, but yet tucked away and quiet. Hosts were friendly and very responsive. Highly recommend!

This home is beautifu! It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, especially traveling with kids, and we quickly felt at home. The pool was a highlight: refreshing, well maintained, and cleaned regularly, which we really appreciated. The home is located in Matapalo which is about 25 minutes from Tamarindo. It offers a great balance, away from the busy tourist areas, yet close enough to access beaches, activities, and restaurants. A car is needed to get around. The hosts are outstanding! Very responsive, attentive, friendly and always available if needed. Their professionalism made the entire stay smooth and stress-free, and we felt safe and well taken care of throughout. A fantastic place to stay! Highly recommend.

This place was wonderful! Beautiful views, private pool and very accommodating for our group. The house is very nice, it was clean, linens were fresh and they thoughtfully had the fridge stocked with some basics when we arrived. The location was a quick drive to downtown Tamarindo which was perfect for us! From the deck/pool, the view is beautiful and we got to see birds, monkeys, iguanas and all types of wildlife! Claire and Steve were phenomenal! They answered all of my questions, provided lots of information and recommendations and even booked our rental car for us! They made check out and the overall stay so easy! If I could give them 100 stars I would! I highly recommend to book this place!

Very pleasant villa for a family stay. The private pool is a big plus in the heat. Very quiet and close to the beautiful Minas and Conchal beaches. We also really appreciated having all the essentials for the beach. Perfect for relaxing and resting... We would love to go back.

Great stay! I had a few questions for Claire prior to arrival and she was very quick to respond. The house was exactly as pictured. We were offered maid service throughout the week. Not in the middle of town (which is why we liked it so much), but a very easy drive to all the amenities and beaches.

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Aroha. The house is beautiful and incredibly well equipped — the kitchen has everything you could possibly need, and there were even pool accessories, air mattresses, pool towels, and beach gear provided. The location is peaceful, and many beaches are only a short drive away. The pool is wonderful, and the terraces, both upstairs and downstairs, are absolutely fantastic. Communication was smooth and everything worked flawlessly. We would absolutely love to come back!

What a Gem- the place, the hosts, the amenities. We were welcomed like family and highly recommend staying here as opposed to a hotel if you’re looking to unplug and refresh. The communication with Claire was unmatched, what Ana amazing host! Really went out of her way for us in more ways than one. The swing lounge on the terrace was a lovely spot to read or enjoy the birds and cows in the nearby pasture for hours! We think the neighbor’s little dog scared off any monkey sightings but would recommend to bring along sound machines in case sensitive to the early dog activities. You MUST go across the road to an amazing family run restaurant - Tamarindo Pacific Seafood Center. Vicki and her staff make amazing dishes with love. We went twice as the menu is huge and needed to try as much a possible!

Claire and Steve were very responsive throughout the entire process, the house was in a great spot as well. I highly recommend the seafood restaurant across the street as well. The view alone is worth this home.

We stayed at the place for three weeks. The house was just like in the photos, the pool was very nice. Beach towels and beach chairs were also available, as well as beach toys for our baby. In the kitchen there is everything you need for cooking. In the morning you often heard howler monkeys, which we also found very exciting. The road that leads to the property is full of potholes and was an adventure every time, but the homeowners can't help it.

The place is exactly as described. The house is beautiful, with beautiful views, very close to downtown Tamarindo, in front of the house, there is a very good restaurant. The pool is very clean and we had everything we needed to feel at home! Highly recommended!

The house was wonderful and located close to many supermarkets, restuarants and about 10 mins from tamarindo. I would recommend anyone to stay at this locations. Also the veiw was stunning.

This was our first visit to Costa Rica. We didn’t realize how perfect this house would be for us until we arrived. The infinity pool and the stunning view were the highlight for both kids and adults. The space and amenities in the home were thoughtful and appreciated!! We found the location added to our adventure! We fully understand why Claire and Steve are considered Superhosts. We felt safe and comfortable for our entire stay. They are a message away if you have any questions about how to navigate anything around the area. There are so many perks to list, you would need to experience them for yourself. I recommend a Bird App to identify all the species of birds that will bustle about as you as you enjoy your morning coffee.

We had a few top days in this beautiful hillside villa with stunning views. Definitely worth booking.

Wow! This place was amazing for our family’s stay in Costa Rica. The pool was a huge hit and we frequently came back mid day to refresh and then go get some dinner. The big double opening doors were awesome in the mornings to let in the sounds of the surrounding wildlife. One of our last nights we went to El Beach Club in playa grande and had an awesome meal. Definitely worth checking out if you stay here! Our kids loved the 2 Cats that seem to frequent the property and were super cute and pleasant. All in all don’t hesitate to stay here if you are looking at this area. It’s a bit of a drive to Tamarindo, but it is really nice at the end of the day to come back to the peace that this offers. We loved it! Great place and amazing hosts!

Such a beautiful villa with a beautiful view. My family and I stayed a week at Claire and Steve’s villa and during our stay they were both very attentive and responsive.

Claire and Steve were very responsive with all of my questions. We lost power for a minute but they were responsive with letting us know where candles and flashlights were. This place was absolutely stunning!

My friends and I had an amazing stay at Claire and Steve’s Airbnb! From the moment we booked, they were incredibly responsive and helpful—answering all of our questions and offering fantastic recommendations. The home itself was even more beautiful than the photos (which is saying a lot!). The view was absolutely breathtaking, and on our second morning, we were lucky enough to see monkeys in the trees right outside the house—such a magical moment! The hill leading up to the house was definitely a workout, but the driver they recommended was a lifesaver—he tackled it like a pro every time. It made getting around so much easier. We also loved the restaurant right across the street—great food and super convenient (except for that hill again, haha!). Overall, this was a beautiful and memorable stay, and we’d absolutely come back. Highly recommend!

Don't hesitate to book this beautiful place to stay. Lots of beaches around that are beautiful (between 10-30 mins by car). In a quiet corner, a delicious local restaurant very close to the soccer field, the host recommended us a serious driver who came to carry us and look for a more festive evening. Everything is there to satisfy your needs in the villa and it is very clean. There is also a supermarket nearby. We loved it!

We had a great visit to Costa Rica and had everything we needed at this Airbnb. My family loved relaxing by the pool. We were able to cook in and grill and had no problems. Claire and Steve were very responsive and very helpful with any information we needed.

We had an incredible three-week stay at this house and would have gladly stayed another three weeks! Steve and Clair were fantastic hosts—very friendly, easy to reach, and genuinely committed to ensuring their guests have a great experience. The view of the mountains is absolutely stunning, and waking up to the sound of howler monkeys in the morning was a truly unique experience. Plus, the restaurant right across from the house is absolutely amazing! The seafood is incredibly fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Just finished up a magical week at Villa Ahora and we’re so sad to have to leave. The house itself was perfect for our family of 4, and came with so many amenities to keep us very comfortable (both at home and while beach hopping). Steve was super helpful with directions and supporting advice. The place is well situated to everywhere you want to be in Guanacaste, and far enough so that the surroundings are peaceful and quiet. We even made friends with the local cats who came to visit. Wouldn’t hesitate to book again if given the privilege.

We loved our 10 days at the Villa. I felt right at home with all the amenities (small Tupperware dishes, lots of towels, beach chairs, shampoo and conditioner), etc. Thank you Claire for your quick responses and recommendations. The downside is that it's noisy, the neighbors are very close so the noises of air conditioning, pool filters are heard as background noises. The gardeners (with their chainsaw) and the cleaning teams of the neighboring Villas are very noisy and they stay for a long time so I found it difficult to rest. It's not the hosts' fault but in the future I'll look for an isolated villa for peace and quiet. Thanks again!

5 stars +++. This property was exactly as advertised and just lovely. Everything you might need for beach, eating in, cooking and barbecuing was there. High end bathrooms, nice linens and bedding , comfortable furniture, brand new washer dryer, nice outdoor furniture and eating area and very clean and well maintained. They left thoughtful items like coffee juice and milk for our first morning before you might have time to shop which was much appreciated. Super responsive with great recommendations for things to do, beaches and grocery stores. Very secure feeling while on property. Recommend if you’re renting a car get 4 wheel drive as many roads you’ll drive on to get to excursions or some beaches are not paved and uneven with giant potholes. This is the property you want to rent!!

We loved our villa. Identical to the photos. The hostess was very quick to respond to our requests. A music night on Sunday but it didn't have a negative impact on our trip. Really well located for access to the multitude of beaches and surfing. Costa Rica is amazing but be patient on the road because the traffic is slow and a bit crazy with the many scooters that pass us. Several grocery stores near the villa. We loved our trip to this villa.

Beautiful villa with nice views, we enjoyed our stay. The host was quick to respond with any questions about the house and provided cleaning service midway through our week our stay. Tamarindo is about 15 minutes away which we frequented for the beaches and restaurants.

The house was superb, the decor perfect and impeccable cleanliness. We really appreciated that the hosts had a small basic grocery store for us. The beautiful pool and patio and extraordinary views. The only downside is that the patio is not in the sun. All in all, we loved it.

Had a lovely stay here! House was exactly as shown in pictures. Most bigger areas are about 30min drive (Tamarindo, playa flamingo) but matapalo has a large grocery store for any supplies we needed. Only draw back was the main road leading to the villa had some rough spots. But such is Costa Rica driving it seems! Would recommend this villa for anyone!

I planned a girls trip for my birthday, and I must say the location, home and host were amazing! I give this location 5 stars due to the home being amazing, and it’s about 10-15 minutes from a lot of great restaurants, clubs and beaches. The only thing I will warn anyone booking this home is that it is on an extremely steep hill, so be prepared for a hike anytime you are coming and going from this location! If you rent a car make sure it’s an AWD, because many of the transportation and Ubers will not drive up this hill. Just something to keep in mind. Outside of the hill, I would definitely recommend ☺️

The house is super breath taking. It’s about 15min from downtown and about 20-30 min from the other beaches/areas nearby. Clair and Steve were great from day 1 to the last day. Only thing, if you’re not good at driving up steep hills, it’s best to uber and rent a car. Ubers were very cost efficient for the most part. Overall amazing home, amazing hosts, amazing city. Definitely recommend 🌻

This home is a gem and the view of the countryside is beautiful. We loved it so much we’d like to return with more friends and family. The only thing we’d say is that you should rent a car with all wheel drive as the driveway is extremely steep. Otherwise we highly recommend it and actually thought is was even nicer than the photos.

We loved the house; it is a truly magical and quiet place, with all amenities. Best of all, its proximity to the beaches. During our stay, we were able to visit 8 or 9 beaches, all just 20-25 minutes from the Villa. Claire and Steve were incredibly attentive and available at all times to help us with anything we needed!

The place is on the outskirts of tamarindo so getting to the activities/tourist attractions were about a 30 minute drive each way . I would recommend booking here.

Thank you for a wonderful stay and for your flexibility, we were able to drop off our luggage before heading to the hot springs for the day. We appreciate Steve attentive care and understanding. Travelling as a family of 5 is not easy however this home was comfortable and equipped. We were able to make meals for our kids and have them play safely in the pool or the fence in yard while we were cooking. The most delightful things is wake up to the howling monkeys, chirping birds, fluttering butterflies all while sitting in the home or on the outdoor patio sipping on our morning coffee. Truly and exceptional experience.

Our stay was amazing. I’m so glad we chose to stay in an Airbnb rather than a resort. We did upgrade our vehicle to a higher clearance 4X4 and I’m glad we did. The road up to the house is a doozy. We took a lot of the recommendations that we were given and we are glad we did. Everything was wonderful. El Beach Club was one of our faves for lunch and dinner. We also took surf lessons there. Mercadita was also great. Both places have lots of options. Gracia had the BEST view! The vibes were amazing. If you want to swim in the pool, make sure you arrive before 5:30. We took the Experience in Tamarindo with Ignacio. Do it! It was Amazing!!! We also did the Congo Trail. It was fun. Purr Vida is a cat rescue/cat cafe. That was a fun extra we weren’t expecting. Playa Conchal was beautiful. (Don’t order food on the beach.) Playa Flamingo has amazing sunsets. We will definitely be coming back. It was a fantastic experience. ❤️❤️❤️

Nice pool and view from the pool overlooking the scenery. Very private area. The host provided nice recommendations of restaurants nearby. 20 minutes or less from main Tamarindo. We had a great time at the AirBNB.

This airbnb was by far the best place i’ve stayed at ever!!!! The view was worth every dollar by itself. It looks exactly like the pictures. Super secluded but also 10-15 min from tamarindo and you can uber downtown then walk everywhere. Steve was awesome, gave so many recommendations and super fast responses. My friends and I thought it was perfect. It was clean and had everything you needed! perfect location, perfect view, perfect pool, JUST PERFECT!! If you’re looking for an airbnb, BOOK THIS ONE RN!!!

We had a wonderful stay! Claire was so responsive, before and during our stay. She checked in to ensure that we were comfortable and had all we needed. When we arrived the house was totally ready for us, cool temp inside with some fruit and drinks. She had also made sure to purchase a Pack and Play prior to our arrival to accommodate our 10 month old. That was very thoughtful and appreciated! The house is great. The furniture is very comfortable, making it easy to relax. The pool has an amazing view. There were tons of linens, some pool toys, great and welcoming decor. The house was easy to find and get to the beach… it was really just a great stay!

Very nice modern villa to feel good all along our stay! Close to several activities and only 15-20 mins from Tamarindo city center. We had access to several things: children's beach toys, cooler, icepack, etc. The pantry was filled with spices and several useful things! I really like fenestration and the two terraces. Claire and Steve responded quickly to us all along our stay. In addition, Stéphanie, the owner also wrote to me to make sure everything was going well, it was well appreciated!:) I recommend it!

Such a cool place tucked between many incredible beaches. The home is super modern, basically brand new, with every comfort you can desire. They sent a video that helped find the place since the little road is not yet on some maps. Very helpful. The local recommendations helped prioritize our time and each was excellent. Highly recommend coming with kids or just a couple.
