Thank you DaNajah for your review that always help us to improve! We just want to point out that Casa Ceiba is located 850 mts from the center, that means about 12 minutes walking (definitely not 20!) and about 4 minutes by bike (not 10!). Regarding the working space, we don't mention it as feature in our description, but if you had wrote that you needed that, we could have added a desk for you. Also we are sorry that you didn't like having to throw the compost into the woods but this is the most eco-sustainable option that also prevents guests from having annoying smells and insects inside the apartment...and we are sure that you'd be even less of a fan of this! 😉

Thank you Brenda for your feedback, it’s very important for us to improve although we're a bit surprised by several things you mentioned, since you never complained during your 40 days of stay! First of all the apartment size (that FOR YOU is tiny) and also the distance from the center are clearly indicated in our listing. Furthermore, in our first conversation through AirBnb, BEFORE YOU BOOKED, since you specifically asked, we replied that: - we are 850 mt from the center and it takes about 12 minutes on foot (not 20!) and that you could eventually evaluate to rent a bike (that is very cheap). - we don’t have a dedicated workspace but “in addition to the outdoor table and the kitchen island, we can put a SMALL desk in the apartment” and we also sent you a picture of it and you replied “Fantastic! Thank you!”. So we were very clear, perhaps it was a misjudgment on your part. After reading your review, we checked and the microwave and toaster work fine, the silverware set is complete (stainless steel and Italian quality), the knives are not dull and they were sharpened right before your arrival. Furthermore we don’t know what do you mean with amenities cheap and barely serviceable (really?!?) since the cup set and plates are good ceramic quality, we provide glasses and wine glasses (not the plastic ones) and they are not even mismatched. The blender is plastic but what’s the problem with that? It works good anyway, it’s lighter and less risk of breakage. And since you state that we are “exceptionally responsive hosts” why you did not report all the “problems” with the kitchen amenities or that you needed a mop/cleaning towels or other during your stay? And yes, internet in Samara and in general in Costa Rica is not always reliable, something more that we always confirm to our guests. You were unlucky because there was a problem in all the area for some days during your stay, but this is something that people that work remotely must always consider while traveling in Costa Rica and that unfortunately don’t depend on us. Takeaway: we are not trying to be hosts, we are SuperHosts since 8 years and your statement is offensive. Our reviews are pretty good so it seems like we're doing pretty well (we can always improve, of course!) Maybe it’s you that are too picky and demanding?!

Sorry if you felt that there are too many rules but most are not rules but instructions.Maybe not everyone needs it, but many people don't know how to use our washing machine, our induction cooktop, how to separate the garbage/recyclable/organic. In any case, yes, we also have some rules, like everybody (don't flush the toilet paper, turn off the a/c while out, silent hours, etc). However, it seemed to us that you didn't like to read. In our description it says that our property is located 700 mts from the beach and on an unpaved road (but this was annoying for you). Road conditions are not optimal, sorry, but it happens in many parts of Samara and CR in general and it certainly doesn't depend on us! And you wanted to park inside and our description also says that it's not possible. So in the future, we suggest you read more to avoid misunderstanding.And we received from you the worst review ever, just because of that!
