We could not be more happy with the house, location, beauty, and easy access to everything around this wonderful Air BnB. Emeline and her team were super helpful as well as extremely proactive to help us out when a storm came in. Not only did she warn us about possibly not being able to make our flight but was super generous and helpful to gettimg us back home safely.

Emeline’s Airbnb was great. We had a wonderful surf trip! Carolina was very helpful and always available when needed. The contacts on the itinerary were a big help due to the language barrier. Everyone from Adonis our taxi driver, to the scooter rental people, treated us with upmost respect. They were always willing to work with us and offered fair prices. Plenty of waves within 2 miles of the spot.

We had a great stay! The Airbnb was more spacious than expected and walkable to many of the surf breaks along the popoyo stretch. The place was super clean and had amazing communication with the host. I would highly recommend!

Casa Thruster is very comfy, with the windows and doors open the sound of the waves (which are right out the back door) washes through the house. I woke each morning to the birds and waves. Short walks to both beginners bay, popoyo and Santana breaks. I will definitely stay here again. Everything we needed was provided. Bring your own beach towel.

Fantastic staying with Emeline. His housekeeper Carolina was so good and made our lives so easy with her cleaning, fast response times, and use of the generator to provide us with wifi when power outages occurred. The location was perfect, right in the beach and near Mag rock and surfing. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay thank you so much!!

A perfect place to rest and clear your mind.

We loved the place! It was comfortable, spacious and steps away from the sea! Bedrooms were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked with everything you need. Emeline was very accommodating and understanding. Carolina was also lovely and made us feel right at home. I would definitely stay here again.

We had a great family vacation week. Popoyo is a quiet little beach village. Good location for us. We had a very good service from the cleaning woman, very helpful. Te house was clean and had everything needed. We will come back. Thanks!

Perfect address in Popoyo in front of the sea, central for walking and eating outside but with the essentials for cooking. Kids and adults loved it!

Emeline's place was perfect! It's right on the beach just on the edge of town. If you have the opportunity to hire Adonis as your driver, I highly recommend him! He's very friendly and accommodating. He was very patient and helpful with my limited Spanish speaking skills, too! I really can't imagine a better Nicaraguan tour guide.

Fairly priced in an amazing oceanfront property not overrun by tourists.

The host was great thank you Carolina great person took care of all are needs. The only draw back not many places to eat out at night. Safety at night was good. Would recommend the place.

Amazing place to stay right in front of the beach!

This is an amazing home right on Playa Santana. It is the perfect beach get-a-way. The home is clean and very comfortable and has all the amenities you need. The kitchen has many pots and pans and dishware but the house is also walking distance to any of the restaurants on the beach.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at salty surf. Emeline checked in with us and was always available if we needed. Our place was kept clean. The location is perfect and cozy. We will hopefully be back. Thank you so much.

We loved our stay here 👌 really cute Accomidation, that is bigger in person than the pictures make it seem. It’s in a slightly quieter part of Popoyo, but I’d say that is a good thing. You still have great restaurants around you, and the main surfing beach is only a 10 minute walk away. The hosts are very attentive and the property is dreamy. Right on a really nice beach. While a little rocky, still very swimable and nice to chill on. Sunsets are incredible too. Overall, I highly recommended staying here if you are coming to popoyo.

Emeline’s beach house at Salty Surf Popoyo is awesome! You’re right on the beach, and they did a fantastic job setting up the space for optimal beach life. You have AC, backup generators if power goes out, and very strong WiFi. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a beach getaway.

Our stay was perfect. The house is beautiful. Very comfortable. The bathrooms and kitchen are super spacious and new. It has air conditioning in all rooms. The shower was very good, with good pressure. The house has a gallery where you can sit and watch the sunset. It's beautiful! The entrance has a gate and there are other houses in the same condominium. There is security at night. The house is on the beach, literally. On the beach there are large stones, so to get into the sea it is advisable to walk to one of the sides and not right in front. There are some restaurants nearby, walking distance from the house, and there is also a market a few meters away. The entrance to the house from the road is a dirt road, better if you have an all-terrain vehicle, since when it rains there is a lot of mud. Carolina is the person who does the cleaning and is very kind, very attentive and solves any problems you may have. I loved this house and I'll definitely be back! I highly recommend it.

Beds were comfortable, and the showers nice and hot! Carolina was kind and helpful, and very responsive to our needs. The photos truly don’t do this property justice; it’s more beautiful and serene in person. We can’t wait to come back!

It's always been a good experience! The place is nice, super comfortable, perfect to disconnect and connect with nature! Emeline has been a super host, always attentive and willing to help! It's perfect for couples, friends, or family. My daughter loves it! Recommended full.

The house was great, beds were comfy. Right in front of the beach. Carolina was there to let us check in and even was nice enough to go buy some drinks for us on arrival. There is a small convenience store within walking distance to buy anything that's needed. Very quiet and we were able to enjoy the beach. Since we were going on what is considered rainy season the access road was horrible. You definitely NEED a 4 wheel drive. We have a Honda CRV and on the way out we got stuck in the mud/rocks.

The place was beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. Right at the beach, the house is homier and bigger that what it seams, the ac was great and the showers were awesome. We really appreciated all the recommendations from the host. Highly recommend the place.

Incredible place with an incredible host! We had such a great time staying here. The place was spacious and clean, the AC worked great, and it was in a beautiful location. Emeline was quick to respond to messages and gave us plenty of helpful tips for local spots to check out. We’re so grateful for her hospitality!

Great place to visit

The house was very clean, with a beautiful view and right in front of the ocean. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a beach day. The beach is gorgeous, peaceful, and great for relaxing. We were also able to stay with our dogs, which made the experience even more special. We would definitely come back!

I really enjoyed this place with my family and my little dog! It's super comfortable, private, and quiet, perfect for relaxing and having a good time. There are great places to eat nearby, and Emeline's service was great! I will definitely go again!!

From the moment we contacted Emeline, she was kind, timely with responses, and very helpful about layout of area and local support and activities during our stay. Her home felt like home away from home - simple, clean and had everything one could want/need. Her staff and local people recommendations were outstanding. We employed Helene to cook for us - she was kind, thoughtful and her meals were delicious! We also employed Adonis as the driver to and from the airport and he was courteous, safe and very friendly. We also employed Erol and the local surf instructors. They were extraordinary - and truly exceptional with my daughters in the surf. The local fruit/vegetable truck coming by routinely was an easy way to purchase produce. We look forward to returning! I am so grateful!

Our family of four adults really enjoyed our stay. We would walk to little beach cafés, found spots to swim and it would take about 10-15 minute walk to surf at Beginner Bay and beyond. We enjoyed the house- comfortable beds and furniture, we cooked food at home, read in the hammocks and cooled off in the middle of the day in the bedrooms with A/C when we needed. Nice and quiet, too!

Wonderful accommodation, the best we had during our vacation in Popoyo. We recommend eating at the Soda Luna restaurant, where the quality and price of the food are the best in the area

Salty surf is an amazing place to stay for surfing while being centrally located in the midst of Popoyo’s relaxed vibe. The host was informative and helpful from beginning to end and the house was kept immaculate and stocked with water and other essentials by the incredible housekeeper.

My family and I enjoyed our stay, the host and the housekeeper were very nice and attentive. Extra points for being pet friendly! Do take into account that there are no amenities. Therefore I would recommend bringing your own napkins, shampoo, body soap, etc. Overall, the place feels like coming to a home, very nice design with good ventilation and A/C, a must for the weather. We had neighbors on both sides, it’s safe and chill. I would stay here again, no hesitation!

It is nice place to get away, very flexible and friendly people

Perfect beachfront location with all the amenities you need! AC in the room were perfect, the interior was modern, the backyard was shared with the rest of the property and had hammocks and shower/foot wash. Beachfront was amazing though there are rock you need to go over, but surfable locations were easy 15 min walk in both directions. I'd definitely stay here again!

Beautiful spot right on the beach with everything you need. Grocery store very close by and so are many restaurants. It is on a little compound with other units where you can see other people. Security guards at night made us feel very safe. The long walks along the beach is the best and the sunsets in Popoyo is next level - best we have ever seen. We were with our two little toddler girls and we had just the best time. Our house keeper was so helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this lovely spot for small group of friends or a single family.

We had an absolutely wonderful monthlong stay at Casa Thruster. Popoyo is a beautiful area with just enough restaurants and activities to stay entertained if you’d like while being still being quiet and relaxing. The house was perfect, it had everything we wanted, was clean and spacious, and the location is amazing. Being able to sit on the patio each morning with our coffee, overlooking the ocean and listening to the waves was a dream. Emeline is one of the best hosts I’ve ever had the pleasure of renting from. She was proactive with communication, friendly, and quick to respond to any requests. The groundskeeper/cleaning person/Jack-of-all-trades Carolina was an absolute pleasure and always quick with a smile. I cannot recommend Casa Thruster or any of the other rentals available at Salty Surf enough. I miss it already.

Emeline's place was the perfect place for us to have the best time in Popoyo. The beach right in front of the house was amazing. It's an easy walk to both Rancho Santana and Magnificent Rock which are two great areas/beaches to explore. Also, having a few restaurants, and markets within walking distance was also ideal. In addition to the location and perfect weather our favorite thing about our stay was having Martha cook for us every day! First off, Martha is an amazing cook, and knows Nicaraguan cooking inside and out. She also has a very warm and comforting presence and she quickly felt like part of our family. Having breakfast, lunch and dinner made for us each day allowed us to enjoy the beach and explore the surroundings without having to constantly wonder where or what were were going to eat later. If you stay here, do yourself a favor and hire Martha to cook for you. you won't regret it! the nightly hermit crab party in the front yard was a extra special treat!

Beautiful place right on the beach, exactly as you see in the photos. Words cannot really do it justice!

My family & I (4 adults) have stayed in many places in Nicaraguan beaches and this is now our top pick. We stayed at Casa Thruster which is very spacious, each bedroom has an AC + fan and kitchen/dining/living room has a fan + breeze that comes in through the screen in door. Kitchen is well equipped and has plenty of drinking water, if you want to cook make sure you take all cooking supplies (including s&p) and if you don't feel like cooking there are restaurants in walking distance and plenty of delivery food services. Bathroom is spacious and has enough bath towels, but no beach towels nor toiletries. We enjoyed that the house has a deck with beach chairs additional to the shared lounging areas. We also appreciated that parking is inside & gated. Something to keep in mind is that the beach right in front is rocky and might be a challenge for someone with mobility issues, nevertheless it's breathtaking and exceptionally beautiful. We will definitely be back & fully recommend it.

Emeline’s place was beautiful and peaceful. Surf lesson’s recommendations were the best. We used Erol. He was very flexible and helpful. My son loved the experience. We also hired Brenda to cook for us. I totally recommend her. Why to bother cooking on your vacation when you can hire someone at a very affordable price. Also, we found a puzzle and we’re able to finish it. We as a family had a great time, determined to finish it before we left! Took us 2 ½ days 😂😂 Overall had a great time 😊

Spent an awesome week at Emeline’s beautiful place and already want to go back! Killer location right on the beach - great sunsets. The place was super clean when we arrived but we also appreciated the cleanings offered every three days! Walkable to two small markets and some restaurants where you can get everything you need. Also a quick walk to beginners bay if you’re new to surfing! Emeline’s list of local spots & recommendations was also really handy!

I felt so at home and at ease at Casa Thruster. From communication to recommendations, Emeline went above and beyond. Everyone of her recs was fantastic. We had a pleasant stay at Emeline's. The accommodation was spacious and very clean.. We had a small problem with the closure of the bay window but Emeline was very responsive. Exceptional views of the sea . The beach is 5 m away from the house . You can watch beautiful sunsets. It's a dream place.

Loved our stay! Emeline was very communicative. The photos are cute but don't show the kitchen: in case it's helpful to know who's reading this for: it's a clear and complete kitchen! It has all the utensils, stove, oven, dishes, purified water, etc. The beach is so nice, peaceful but with a perfect wave. And it's pet friendly... I LOVE and recommend. The only thing I don't recommend is going to the hot springs that are nearby. Unfortunately, they are in very poor condition (extremely dirty - even people washing clothes with detergent inside the thermal pools, a shame! Better to invest time in other beautiful places around this property.) In the summer a sedan arrives perfect :)
