We enjoyed our stay at The Breeze! The property was kept spotlessly clean, and the gardens and pool were a real highlight. We also appreciated the close proximity to the beach, restaurants and shops. The vibe at the property was chill and family-friendly, and Jean Marc was a delightfully charismatic host. When multiple groups were in the pool area it felt a little busy, but there were also times when we had it to ourselves, and we had a memorable afternoon watching a troop of howler monkeys traverse the trees high above. One thing to be aware of is the property next door is a surf hostel and we were certainly conscious of more noise there in the evenings, but on the whole it wasn’t an issue.

We loved our stay at Jean-Marc's villa. The pool at the villa was a good size and the kids had hours of fun. The villa was a great size and very comfortable for our family of 5. It is a very short walk to a beautiful beach. It was walkable to all the fantastic restaurants, shopping and bars in the area. The staff were so helpful and made our stay!

Beautiful place in a great location. It really is 150m from the beach! And right around the corner from a grocery store, lots of places to eat, and right up the street from all the surf shops. We LOVED the pool too. Great way to spend hot afternoons in the shade. And we got to see howler monkeys and parrots in the morning! Jean Marc and his staff were very friendly and helpful. We would stay again!

Staying at Jean Marc's place was the best decision we could have made for our trip. Having a home base that was peaceful, well located and beautiful made a huge difference in the experience we had in Tamarindo. From the moment we arrived, Jean Marc and his manager Dauly, made us feel at home. The villa was extremely clean (great housekeeping staff!) and comfortable and had everything we needed to settle in. (I'm not a fan of air conditioning, but the a/c was great). The grounds are beautiful and lush and well maintained and we enjoyed just sitting out on our patio or taking a dip in the pool. It was easy to walk to the beach and the town since the property is very close to both. Jean Marc and Dauly were on target with recommendations for local spots and yoga that quickly became our favorites. And we were able to take surf lessons from Dauly, who is an amazing teacher. They both went out of their way to make sure that we were having an optimal stay in Tamarindo. Highly recommend!!

Our stay at The Breeze was absolutely incredible—truly a hidden gem! The location couldn’t be better, with the beach, restaurants, and shops all just a short walk away, making it so easy to explore the area. The pool was perfect and the water was always so refreshing—an ideal spot to relax and cool off after a day out. The host was fantastic—very welcoming and thoughtful. We really appreciated how he checked in daily to make sure everything was perfect. The daily housekeeping service was another wonderful touch that made our stay feel relaxing and luxurious. Overall, this place felt like a true oasis. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable getaway!

Jean-Marc is an outstanding host. Beautiful location (oasis in the middle of the city) although noisier on Friday and Saturday nights because the villa is close to everything including bars. The people who work on site (cleaning, garden maintenance, manager) are all charming. Looking forward to returning!

We had the best stay in Tamarindo and Jean Marc made our stay easy and seamless! We were able to check in early and airport transportation was arranged for us upon check out to pick us up directly from the villa. The staff was also incredibly friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and a very short walk to the beach, town, and tons of restaurants! The ambiance of the villa was perfect with so much wildlife around! Overall, it was clean, safe, convenient, & enjoyable! I would stay in any property Jean Marc hosts! :) The only negative is the walls were VERY thin so we were awoken at 6am by very loud children in the pool one morning, but otherwise the other guests were very respectful and kind also!

We had an amazing stay at Villa Dona Ines. The houses were beautiful and the gardens and the pool were peaceful and relaxing. Jean Marc and Rhonda were extremely communicative and helpful. They always responded immediately and gave us great suggestions and were helpful with whatever we needed. Dauly who runs the house on a day-to-day basis was amazing. He was there every day and anything that we needed was done or responded to immediately. Xiumara kept the house beautiful clean and was so helpful. The house was exactly the pictures. We were 11 people and had more than enough room. The house is close within walking distance to everything. We would definitely return. We had a great vacation. These were the best hosts we have ever had.

The Breeze is a wonderful place! Location is very convenient to everything. Easy walk to beach, shops and many restaurants. The pool was clean and refreshing, with beautiful wildlife in trees. Everything was very clean, we had a great time!

One of the best Airbnb stays we have had. The villa was perfect, very comfortable (two adults and two children) and clean, close to the beach and walkable to great restaurants and stores. Even with families staying in the other villas it was quiet and peaceful. Jean Marc, Luca, and other staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had a wonderful time in Tamarindo and will stay here again when we return!

Jean Marc went above and beyond to communicate and greet us upon arrival and send us off upon departure. He went above and beyond in every regard. The location was a block from the beach and in the heart of where the action is! We loved our stay at the Breeze.

We will be back. It was a perfect location and a lovely property. Beautiful pool. Everything is clean and well cared for. We liked having access to the the grill and will plan to use it more next time. Jean Marc was so lovely to talk to.

The Breeze was such a lovely place to call home for 9 days during our trip in Tamarindo. We traveled with a baby and a toddler and having a safe , comfortable and cool place to rest and recharge was priority. Jean Marc's property was that and more. Private and surrounded with beautiful vegetation, you could spend the whole day by the pool and have a great experience. Everything was always cleaned and maintained and, we saw monkeys right from our table. The highlight for us was was making friends with Jean Marc and Luca, as well as some other guests that were such wonderful people. We cannot wait to return.

What an amazing place. It is amazingly close to All of the busy areas yet just far enough from the main road that you feel like you are in a secluded paradise. I never once considered locking the door when going out for the day. The staff were incredible and helpful in every way.

What a wonderful boutique hotel located within walking distance of town. Everything you need to feel at home in a wonderful secluded property. We were treated to howler monkey’s on a few mornings and an almost daily visit by the large iguana who loved the pool area as much as we did. Host and the entire staff at the property took care of our ever needs. Would definitely revisit this property.

This was my third time staying at the Breeze, and it was fantastic, as always. It’s close to the beach and town, yet feels like a private oasis with the garden and pool. Location, location, location! The Breeze condo is perfectly situated in Tamarindo—everything you need is just a short walk away. The house is exactly as shown in the photos: spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean. The entire property is beautifully maintained, and the pool was our favorite spot to unwind after a day at the beach. We especially enjoyed preparing breakfast and dining at the charming outdoor table overlooking the pool—it was such a peaceful way to start the day. We absolutely loved this oasis in Tamarindo. Easy walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants… Returning to this quiet, beautiful retreat with its friendly was like coming home at the end of the day. The property is absolutely gorgeous, with a stunning pool, grounds… including visits from monkeys and iguanas. The owner, Jean Marc and his assistant Luca were especially helpful with recommendations, and assistance with booking trips/excursions with reputable and professional guides. The cleaning staff and groundskeeper ensure the property was always spotless!!! Thank you for a great stay that we’ll not soon forget.

The stay was beyond amazing. The host and staff were very gracious, helpful, and welcoming. Not only was the home equipped with everything I needed but the surrounding area offered tons of activities to do. I will definitely be returning to Tamarindo and will for sure stay at this location again.

11 of us stayed at Jean Marc’s home for 9 days and enjoyed it. It was spacious and clean. Xeomara and Luca, the housekeeper and property manager were very helpful. We had preplanned many activities, but Luca checked in with us daily to see if we needed help setting anything up. We could walk to the beach or restaurants, but rented golf carts for our time since it was rainy and humid. With the crazy humidity, the air conditioning worked great and it was always refreshing to come home to.

This was my family’s first time to Tamarindo but Jean Marc’s place made me feel like I was coming home. Everything was clean, tidy and comfortable. Chatting with Jean Marc on the phone made me feel so connected. Felt like old friends having a chat. The location was awesome and very easy to find. Right off the main strip but far enough up that you don’t feel in the middle of chaos. Once you go into the front gate, you feel like you’re in your own private oasis. Every time I had a question Jean Marc was quick to call or text as well as Luca the property manager. Great value!Would recommend 100% ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We (family of 4) had a great time at Jean Marc’s place. We were there a total of 6 nights and I can only hope to stay there again sometime. Jean Marc is a super host with a keen eye for detail- he and the staff made us feel at home from the moment we got there until the day we left. The people that work there are amazing and always available to help and answer questions. You are 100m to the beach and within a walkable distance to many restaurants and shops. When your done at the beach or in town - come back and relax at your oasis. If you are wondering whether you should book this place- book it! You won’t be disappointed!

Such a great location!! Was a perfect place to stay during our time in Tamarindo. The space felt very private and secure and I loved all the wildlife I saw while sitting by the pool. Would definitely stay here again!

The location is ideal, in the city without feeling in town, when you walk through the main door you find yourself in an oasis of peace with greenery, the infinity pool and the birdsong. We are 150m from the beach ( 4 minutes) with its magnificent sunsets, it is one of the best beaches I have seen, as much for swimming, surfing and walking. Jean-Marc as well as Luca his manager were always attentive, always present to give us information, they spend at least 2 times a day to make sure everything goes smoothly. Employees work as small bees;), the villa is cleaned every morning, the pool several times a day, the site and the villa are impeccably clean. I would highly recommend the place.

Second trip to Tamarindo, Loved Jean Marc’s place it was a peaceful respite from the busyness of Tamarindo, while being located close to the beach. The pool was so refreshing. Luca was great, giving us suggestions and helping us with airport transfers. I highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful family holiday at Villa Dona Ines. Lots of space to spread out, lie around the pool outdoors or on the couches inside. The kids loved playing in the pool. We had many meals together at the big beautiful dining room table. It’s a great place to stay with a large group!

Exceptional ! The property private compound is outstanding. Multiple living spaces, immaculate, full of Costa Rican Charm!! The grounds are pristine, the daily housekeeping was the best! Luca the caretaker brought a caring, loving, feel to everything, a real plus. He went to great lengths to assure our Family of 11 were well cared for. Secluded yet so close to all services, beach, restaurants, grocery stores etc… The pool are me had plenty of lounging. The day bed invited peaceful rest.. The BBQ area was well used and cleaned daily.. the large bottled water service was a real plus. The neighborhood is safe! 10 minute walk to beach. We rented 2 golf carts to take our family to any locations we desires. Thank you Jean Marc!!

We stayed in the area many times and Jean Marc's place was our favorite by far. What a personable host, he made us feel like home. His place is private yet very centrally located, just a block from the beach and lots of places to eat within walking distance. Our kids loved the pool and we enjoyed the beautiful landscaping. Jean Marc is one of our favourite hosts. His assistant was there to greet us, help us unload and show us everything about the place. Jean Marc stopped by shortly after to welcome us and ask if we had any questions. The villa we stayed in was super clean, matched the description and photos. The property is wonderful with a nice pool that the kids loved swimming in. You can't get much closer to the beach than this! Less than a five minute walk to the main beach. We parked our vehicle for the entire stay as everything was walkable. Jean Marc recommended the Night Market and what a wonderful experience it was. This place is hard to beat!

This is the perfect spot to experience everything Tamarindo has to offer. Our host was very welcoming, and answered all our questions. You get daily maid service tidying up the condo for your return. A very peaceful location near all the restaurants and a five minute walk from the beach. Probably the best Airbnb we have stayed at. Comes with our highest recommendation!

My son and I loved staying at Jean Marc’s place! The grounds are beautiful and the place itself was spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was great to have two separate bedroom with separate split units and bathrooms. And it was a pleasure to wake up each day to the pool and colorful foliage around it. We wanted to be near the beach - and it is a five minute walk from the place. Grocery around the corner and other shops and restaurants a few minutes further. Jean Marc’s crew kept the place spotless each day - they even folded clothes left on the bed. We would gladly return.

Jean Marc’s villa was a wonderful place to stay. It was very close to all the shops and restaurants, and super quick walk to the beach. It was quiet, and the pool area was very nice. Perfect place for a getaway. I would definitely stay again. The host very extremely responsive and we were given many recommendations. They checked in often to make sure we had everything we needed.

Fantastic location in the heart of Tamarindo, steps away from the beach and amenities but quiet and peaceful surrounded by nature. The apartment is simple, modern and comfortable and has everything you need. What really stands out is the amazing Pool and outdoor areas which we absolutely loved and our 8 month old son had a ball with the mini waterfall in the pool! We would definitely recommend staying here!!

Fantastic 2 days here with family on our adventures through Costa Rica. Close to the beach, variety of dining/shopping options , and loved having a refreshing pool on the property as well.

The accommodation was spacious and had great natural light. The rooms have A/C with remotes so you can regulate it to your liking. Both the living room/kitchen and the outdoor dining area have fans, not A/C. The two bathrooms don't have air conditioning or fans though. The kitchen is well equipped and the shared pool area is lovely. It just up the street from the beach and right around the corner from the main street that has great restaurants and food courts. We especially enjoyed the food truck park at the end of the road, right before the beach. We greatly appreciated the manager Luca's help as he was very responsive and gave us great idea for what to do during our stay. Overall great experience and I would highly recommend!

TROPICAL OASIS IN THE HEART OF TAMARINDO - We spent 10 wonderful days at Jean Marc’s place in Tamarindo. My family and I were looking for a centrally located accommodation and this place was perfect and it exceeded all our expectations! Located within a three minute walk to Tamarindo beach, surrounded by great restaurants and shopping. The best part is that the complex is a hidden away tropical garden, meticulously maintained and composed of 5 villas surrounding a 2-tier pool that allows the guests to lounge and feel like you’re enjoying a private exclusive resort, which you are. All units have two bedrooms and two bathrooms, kitchen and living area, the patio was perfect for enjoying a meal or drinks in the evening. Daily cleaning service is included (just like a hotel), and Jean Marc and Lucas (Manager) were always available, checking in, providing recommendations and ensuring all our needs were met. I want to thank Jean Marc and his team for making us feel so at home. Pura Vida!

This place was a gem, not only for the accommodations, but the super friendly staff we encountered every day. Luca and Jean- Marc and became fast friends with my son (3) and spent time with him every single day. Magdalia kept our apartment pristine, even doing the dishes for us several times. My son learned to swim in the incredible pool. I just loved it here! There is about a 5 minute walk to the beach (faster without a toddler). Several restaurants nearby. My only regret is not staying longer! In fact, we did extend our stay and Jean Marc was able to accommodate us with no issue. I Can say with 100% certainty we will stay here again. Hopefully soon! Thank you to everyone at the breeze for your kindness and hospitality. No vemos pronto!

This place is absolutely perfect. The location is everything - park your car & leave it. Beautiful beach and great food just a few steps away. You can book a tour to see local wildlife, but you’ll be able see monkeys, iguanas, owls, and beautiful birds while relaxing by the pool. And Jean Marc might be the best Airbnb host we’ve ever had. He went above & beyond to make us feel welcome, his staff works extremely hard to take care of the facilities, and our daughter (2) has been asking to go see Jean Marc ever since we left. Next time we’re in tamarindo, we’ll be here again!

Can I give more than 5 stars? This place was wonderful! And Jean Marc was a fantastic host. Very responsive, friendly and helpful. The bungalows are nice and private and the pool is gorgeous. The staff were friendly and take great care of the place. The location is fantastic, easy walk to the beach and close to restaurants and cafes. We will totally stay here again.

Jean Marc truly has a special little oasis. Tucked away behind a private gate, this place was wonderful and yet seconds away from the beach. He was a very friendly host and knows the area extremely well. It was a perfect vacation and I would happily return!

The Breeze is a tiny gateway located in the midst of a large tourist attraction. When we traveled to Tamarindo it was both extremely hot and extremely crowded, having a gorgeous pool secured behind four walls felt both necessary and extravagant given those conditions. The rooms are spotless, and having turn down service is a luxury we didn't know we needed. Very close to everything that matters in town, it is hard to imagine a better place to stay in Tamarindo.

We had a great stay - Jean Marc and Luc were great hosts. Twice saw howler monkeys in the trees above the bungalows.

Eric, Logan and myself enjoyed our stay at Jean Marc’s. Our toddler loved the pool. Access to the beach and restaurants is easy. We didn’t need to drive as everything is in a walkable distance. Luca and Jean Marc were extremely friendly. They took the time to greet us in person an make sure we had everything we needed. We also appreciated hearing about their personal story and how they ended up living in this beautiful paradise. Thank you for making us feel welcomed and being so kind to our little Lolo :)

Can’t say enough positive things about Jean Marc and his place. So friendly and accommodating, and we felt at home when we were there. He even made a Dr. Appt. for us on the morning we left when one of our little ones was feeling a bit ill. We’d stay there many more times…and will do so the next time we come to Tamorindo. Pura Vida!

Jean Marc has a beautiful property in an excellent location. The place was well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The only problem was the toaster oven not working and they immediately got us a replacement. We loved being just a couple of minute walk to the beach and shops but it was still so quiet and peaceful. We’d love to come back & we’re saying it would be a great spot for multiple families or couples to come since you’d have your own space but still be close to one another. The hosts on site were great and the cleaning was really nice. You won’t regret staying with Jean Marc!

Jean Marc was extremely kind and entertaining. He made the best local recommendations. The low bed was extremely comfortable. He also went above and beyond to fix my friends sunburn by finding the best biggest piece of aloe. 10/10!

We spent 3 weeks here while my husband and I were attending Wayra - the Spanish immersion school that is right across the street. The place was wonderful, immaculately clean, comfortable, with easy check-in and excellent communication from Jean Marc and Luka. They were super friendly and available, always checking in to see if we needed anything. The location is also very convenient. Along with the pool right outside our door, Tamarindo beach is beautiful and just a few minutes walk from the villa. Also within a few minutes walking distance are restaurants, an outdoor food court, shops and a small supermarket. I highly recommend this villa.

Very good for those who want to be close to the center of Tamarindo, but on a more removed and quiet street, the place has two en-suites and a pleasant environment with tropical nature and a swimming pool. We liked it very much and recommend it.

They check in to see if everything is ok every day in an unobtrusive manner. Friendly, kind and give advice or recommendations, you will feel welcome and spoiled. Great place to relax.

Perfect place for families to stay ! Beautiful pool area, your own private palm tree oasis.:) Lovely master bed suite, plenty of space. Everything is within an easy walkable distance, great restaurants, market, bank and beach. But Tamarindo road conditions can be hazardous for the elderly or wheelchairs, lots of potholes and no sidewalks. Other than that, we loved the place and Costa Rica, Pura Vida !

We stayed at the Breeze for 3 nights and loved our experience. Just steps from the beach, shops and restaurants while being very peaceful once you enter the cute little courtyard of the site. The condo is very well equipped for cooking. The staff is very sociable and accommodating. Not a day when the howler monkeys didn't come to visit us. I would highly recommend this place!

This is a hidden gem! The small complex comprising of 5 units is 2 minutes walk from the beach and a myriad of restaurants and bars. It’s a lush green oasis of peace with an incredible host team to look after you. Luca, the manager popped in to see us daily and Migdalia provided an unexpected daily maid service. Jean-Marc was in touch before, during and after our stay and was also incredibly helpful. In my opinion, the mark of excellent service happens when something goes wrong. I left my hand luggage in Tamarindo when we moved to another location. Both Luca and Jean-Marc were in contact with me every step of the way and bent over backwards to help me retrieve my luggage. Recommended? Absolutely!!!!

I highly recommend this place. We were 6 young friends and enjoyed a lot our staying. The place is just a few minutes walking distance from the beach/restaurants/surf shops/bars etc., right in the center of the village. The bungalow is clean, modern, and well furnished. It is inside a complex of 5 bungalows with shared areas such as swimming pool and BBQ area. Though we perfectly had our privacy as the place is quiet and there is a private patio in front of the bungalow. There is a very nice housekeeper that everyday cleans and arranges the place, amazing laundry service as well. Jean Marc is a great host, very friendly and chill - he made us feel like at home.

This place was perfect. Just steps from the beach and so many good restaurants. The pool was lovely for swimming. Lots of iguanas and lizards to entertain me while sitting on the porch. The bed was superbly comfortable. I would definitely stay here again, although next time with some friends because it was a little big for just me. At the time it was exactly what I needed though!

Villa Doña Inez was the perfect place for our family of 15 who had gone to Tamarindo for a family wedding: five couples , two teenagers, and three children 12 and under. It is an easy walking distance to town - in fact you’d be hard put to find such a big house any closer. There is a decent sized grocery store within a five minute walk, and a huge one about ten minutes away by car. The villa is spacious, spotless, with an extremely well equipped kitchen. It is decorated with attractive and comfortable furniture, plenty of room indoors and out. We used the grill, which looks new, and the cabana.  The caretaker, Luca, checked in a couple of times a day and was completely responsive to all of our questions and needs. It was luxurious to have daily housekeeping included: I was leery at first at having someone come in every day but Simara was lovely and deferential to our comings and goings.  The pool was a nice size with ample lounge chairs and the cabana nearby.  It is cleaned a couple of times a week and Luca gave us plenty of time to plan around it.  There's an outdoor table with plenty of seating which we unfortunately did not use because by the time we were ready to eat in the evening, the bugs were ready too. This may vary by time of year - in general bugs are not really a problem in Costa Rica. The indoor table is also ample. There were a couple of issues when we arrived, about which I communicated with the host by email and the caretaker in person. One involved clarification about the use of the washer and dryer, and the other involved something that needed repair. Both were resolved to our satisfaction.

Great location close to the beach but far enough away from partygoers. Really kind and helpful staff. Luca the property manager was always available to answer questions and the cleaning staff did a great job. Pool was perfect for my kids. Jean Marc was so great with communication ahead of our trip. Highly recommend!

Villa Donna Ines was a fantastic property for my family vacation. We brought 7 adults and 3 kids and had room to spare. The home is even nicer than the pictures show! Having Luca, the property manager, on site initially concerned me. However, he is priceless. Not only is he polite but he gives you your privacy and is incredibly helpful. Any questions/concerns that you have about the home or local area are quickly and accurately answered. Air conditioning was cold, water was hot, house was clean. Of note, the included cleaning service is fantastic especially after coming home from a long day on the beach. The location is very good. A safe neighborhood behind a locked gate and tall foliage. There are several restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk. The walk to the beach was 15 minutes but that was mostly because we had a 5 year old and two 8 year olds with us. The main road off of the property got a bit muddy when it rained, but it was easily overcome-able. Jean Marc and his wife Rhonda were very easy to communicate with and provided all of the necessary details. They even helped set up our transportation to/from the airport. We highly recommend Villa Donna Ines for any large group visiting Tamarindo, you wont be dissapointed.

This Airbnb was great. Felt safe with the gated community door. The place is clean and the AC was perfect. The pool is nice as well and everything was great. Welcoming and great location as well

Villa was close to everything: beach, restaurants, nightlife, and food truck park all with in a 2 min walk! The check in process was very easy and grounds were very well taken care of. It was great for our 2 night stay.

The house was exactly as expected - clean and spacious within 10 min walking distance to the main strip and beach. The location is around the corner from the Thursday Night market; which we enjoyed. The street is quieter with less traffic. The kitchen was fully stocked with cooking utensils and pots/pans and we used the grill by the pool. The pool was regularly cleaned, as were the grounds. Luca, the house manager lives on the grounds and was very helpful and friendly. He is awesome and checked in on us daily. There is natural privacy "wall" of tall bushes for those other reviews that mention the proximity. It was not a problem for us and what we are accustomed to. All the TVs worked, the beds were comfortable, and plenty of pillows all around. The only thing I missed was a lamp or two. Pack a nightlight if you have little ones.
