The villa is very nice, modern and clean. I really liked that almost all the walls are windows that can be opened, so the air circulation and lighting are very good. The upstairs terrace. I looooooove it! A highlight of the Villa. The pool looks bigger in the photos, but for 4 guests it's perfect. Access is indeed complicated. We didn't go in a 4x4 and we managed to get up, but the car did skid a bit. It's a great plus that the villa has yoga mats.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at SWAR Villa! Everything was perfect from start to finish. Communication was incredibly clear right from the time of booking, and Will gave us a very warm welcome and was extremely helpful throughout our entire stay. The area feels very safe and secure, making it ideal for a peaceful family vacation. The villa itself is amazing, the views of the sunset from the balcony are truly exceptional, and the kids absolutely loved spending time in the pool. As a quick practical tip for future guests: the road leading up the hill to the villa is not in very good condition, so a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended. Our vehicle didn't have 4x4, and with a bit of rain, the climb can get tricky. However, this was just a minor detail in what was otherwise a beautiful and memorable stay. Thank you again to Will for everything. We highly recommend this villa without hesitation!

We love Casa Alex and Casa Lorie! It was the perfect place for us (2 couples). The kitchen is well appointed, the pool really lovely, and the nightly sunset views fantastic. We especially enjoyed the local wildlife, who visited pretty regularly, as well as the rich bird life. Our concierge, Will, was the best - always responsive and helpful. Will definitely return again!!!

First of all, I really love Santa Teresa. It has the best combination of a beautiful and walkable beach, fantastic restaurants, and great shopping. This house is perfectly located off the beaten path, but not too far away where you are climbing a rugged hill for long. It's elevated enough to be away from the busy town and perfectly situated for incredible sunsets. I highly recommend this place for two couples or a family.

Will was our concierge, he was awesome. very quick response to questions etc. Loved the place, the views, all the amenities we wanted. Will hooked us up with a side by side and it was there when we arrived. Highly recommend doing an atv or side by side to get up and down the hill. Summary: coming back!!

If you are looking for a place that feels like a real home, not just a borrowed house - this is it! We felt right at home immediately. Everything you need in the kitchen, a perfect little outdoor shower, and my favorite part was the patio and beautiful, comfortable furniture outside. The views were incredible. You can see so many birds and hear the monkeys - especially in the morning. We had our coffee, breakfast, and dinner outside every day to enjoy the beauty of this place. The pool was so perfect for evening swims or afternoon naps on the pool float. I read my kindle in the pool for hours just listening to the ocean and the birds. Santa Teresa is such a treasure and this place is a true gem 💎! We took several recommendations from Will and did a fishing tour with Day Trips (highly recommend!). He helped arrange a very early airport taxi for us and was so helpful and welcoming the entire time. I really appreciated the 2 large beach blankets provided they came in so handy. Pura Vida!

Beautiful private villa , stunning views, well appointed with almost everything you need. The sunsets are beyond words with lots of places to sit and take it in. The pool was perfect for those hot days and is designed well. The hosts were very responsive and dealt with any issues that popped up.

This stay was one of the best in all of my travels. The host and property manager were fantastic and responsive. They helped to arrange airport transportation and ATV rental dropped off right at the property. If you do stay at the property I highly recommend you arrange the ATV service with them, as it is very useful to navigate up the hill that the property is on as well as getting around town and exploring. The whole experience of booking and staying at this property was fantastic, highly recommended.

The place is as shown in the photos, quiet but close enough to everything you might need, the slope to the house can be done in any vehicle, but in the rainy season it could be a little slippery since there is a part of the road that was not paved (especially if it is an SUV and at full capacity). I recommend the place, quick and very friendly service

I had an excellent time staying at Lories place. The hosts were super helpful giving local recommendations and making sure I had everything I needed. Fortunately I know the area but if this is your first time they are a great recourse for booking anything you need and giving tips. The checkin was easy and the home looked just as beautiful as it does in the photos. The location is perfectly tucked away in the hills so you get that privacy and feeling of being inside nature. It had all the amenities we needed to feel right at home. The hosts were super accommodating to my checkout and any requests I had. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice private getaway.

Words are hard to use and describe this space and experience. The views of the pacific and the sunsets on display are one of a kind. The layout of the property is excellent for family or couples and the area is full of life, food, and great people! The pool was the main character of my stay. Book it!

Wha a gem! We loved our stay here. The house feels very high end, and it is so peaceful and on the hill where there are great views, but also really easy to get to the beach and the town. Lori and her team were incredibly helpful in recommending abd arranging activities for us and super responsive to any questions. We loved our time on the ATVs, it made getting to the house fun up and down that road, and drove all around the peninsula to the waterfalls and beaches. The pool was great at the end of the day. We’d definitely go back!

Beautifully located villa in the forest on the hill, but a quick ATV ride down the mountain to the beach and all Santa Teresa has to offer. Absolutely recommend this tranquil spot for couples or friends looking for a peaceful getaway with easy access to the area. We had peaceful morning with coffee on the deck accompanied by birds in the forest and even had a visit from the howler monkeys a few days while we were there. We had an amazing time and will absolutely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay! The rental is exactly as described and shown in the photos. Will was super helpful and always responded very quickly. The rental is located central to Santa Teresa but at the top of a steep hill with a windy gravel road. A higher clearance vehicle is a must and we would recommend renting an ATV through Will to make the excursions more enjoyable. If you are staying sometime in the near future be aware that there is a lot of construction at neighboring properties so it can be noisy during the day.

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! When we booked, we didn’t realize how far it was from SJO Airport, but the hosts were incredibly helpful in guiding us on how to get there. They arranged transportation both to and from the property, making our arrival and departure stress free. They even had a 4 seater rental delivered to the house for us which made getting around super convenient. The home itself was clean, beautiful, and well maintained. It was in a great location, just a short distance from the beach, grocery stores, restaurants, and bars. The view from the pool area was stunning and the hosts were extremely friendly, professional, and responsive, always making sure we had everything we needed. We Would like to give a special thank you to Lorie and Will For Everything We truly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back for a longer visit next time. Highly recommend!

This AirBNB is one of the best and we have travelled extensively. The house was beautiful, clean, and spacious with each master bedroom identical. The plunge pool was refreshing following a day out exploring or swimming at the beaches. Santa Teresa is like no other town in Costa Rica. The Main Street which was unpaved, was dusty with pot holes, making it a challenge to compete with motorcycles, quads, trucks and cars. Lorie’s street was no different except it was steeper making a 4x4 essential. Up on the hill we were away from the noise and dust of the town. The outdoor accommodation had 3 levels , a covered dining area adjacent to the pool, a level with 2 lounge chairs, then a higher elevated area with 4 comfy chairs and 2 small tables where we had breakfast each morning while enjoying birdwatching and photography and played cards at night. The BBQ was put to good use. Santa Teresa is a unique town, this is a unique house and we would not have missed it for the world.

Lorie and will were great hosts! The place is even better than pictures make it out to be. They both frequently checked in and made us feel right at home. We will definitely be back.

We loved the house and pool. The beautiful surroundings with an ocean view was so nice after a day at the beach. The house is beautiful with gorgeous outside tile work and an upper deck to relax on in the morning and evening. Lorie and Will were perfect hosts and very knowledgeable about things to see and do in the area. We saw Toucans one morning and it was so peaceful. We highly recommend this listing if you don't mind being up the mountain and away from the dusty roads in town.

We absolutely loved staying here. The house is very welcoming and comfortable as well as easy to find and easy parking. Now, the view…that’s amazing!! We were able to relax and enjoy just being there. The outdoor area & pool are very well maintained as is the entire house. Will, the caretaker/concierge is super friendly, helpful and the owners are very lucky to have him as their representative. The beach and many great restaurants are a short drive away. We would most definitely love to rent this place again ❤️

This house is amazing with its view of the ocean, with its pool, with the attention to detail throughout the interior as well as its exterior. The kitchen is well appointed to create a meal for two or for a small gathering of friends. The house has two large beautiful bedrooms each with its own bathroom. All in all this is a superior home! The host, Will, is organized and attentive to all requests and needs of the guests in a timely manner.

Me and my friends had the best experience during our stay at the air b&b. Will was there to meet us and was very helpful with everything we needed, truly an amazing host. The house itself was everything we were hoping for. It was very clean and set it’s a beautiful location with a wonderful chill area beside the pool to enjoy a BBQ and watch the sunset. Beautiful spot - truly an amazing place that’s one to remember forever. Great for two couples or two groups that want to be together but also some separate space. Worth noting the road up is very steep, unpaved and has lots of pot holes. Definitely recommend 4WD or ATV to get up there. Will was very attentive and easy to communicate with. He went above and beyond getting us yoga mats, helping with restaurant bookings and bringing us more towels. We loved this magical spot and would love to come back one day!

We absolutely loved the place! Views are gorgeous and it’s so peaceful and serene with the pool. It is set up just a little above the town so it is very peaceful and away from the busy activity below. Drive down only takes a couple of minutes, so it’s very easy to access everything. Location was even more beautiful than the pictures. Will was our point of contact and he was amazing. Incredibly friendly and welcoming. Had great recommendations and helped us get some delicious fresh catch for a beautiful Thanksgiving dinner. He made us feel very welcome and was easily contactable if we needed anything. We absolutely recommend this place and would have stayed longer if our travels had not taken us elsewhere. When we come back, we will for sure plan to try and stay here.

SWAR Villa was beautiful. The place was spotless. It had the perfect indoor and outdoor layout for our family. The views were amazing. But the best part was our host and concierge, Will. He made us feel totally at home. He taught my teenage sons and me to surf and guided us on excursions around the area. My son told me at one point that it felt like we had come to visit family or friends because of how amazing Will was. We would absolutely love to return.

Villa SWAR was an awesome spot for our family of 4. Far enough up the hill to be away from the hustle and noise of Santa Teresa but still close enough that we were only minutes away from all the action. Lorie the owner was super friendly and welcoming, and Rocio the concierge was SUPER helpful (particularly when our arrival got screwed up by a flight delay). All in all a great spot!

What a marvel! Great stay at this home, for this honeymoon. We were welcomed by a very friendly couple and were able to enjoy the pool with the extraordinary view of the sun and the beach . To crown the evening the sunset every night with the singing of birds and monkeys , what a delight! The bedding is really of good quality to have a good night and the accommodation is very well equipped . We would recommend this listing and will be back. Pura vida!

We spent four weeks in this lovely home in the mountain above ST. The home is absolutely perfect for 2-4 people with spacious equivalent sized bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms. Prior to arrival I was a bit concerned about the relatively small indoor common area but of course I had no understanding of Santa Teresa living. The outdoor space is wonderful and where everything happens from fabulous meals under the veranda to drinks and conversation in what i fondly refer to as the tree house. the kitchen was well equipped and the gas grill was great. Another advantage of being up high is that there are no bugs. The road up to the house is steep and uneven..some dirt, some paved and some very pot holed. If you are a strong walker you can make it up or down in about 15 mins; you'll be happy to jump into the pool after that uphill! If you're not a confident driver rent an ATV. Rocio our host was very helpful with tours meals and house matters. We'll return for sunsets & pura vida. Gracias

This is a great casita located close to all the action in Santa Teresa, without being directly in the fray. The pool is amazing and the dogs were lovable and friendly. Lorie and Alex were super helpful regarding recommendations, particularly on restaurants. Great stay-was hard to leave and would definitely come back!

Fantastic accommodations. The view was beautiful! The pool was always clean and refreshing to swim in. The temperature was comfortable. We loved sitting in the pool area and made dinner there every night because the setting was peaceful and the ambiance was romantic. Lorie and Alex were responsive and very helpful. We have booked the house initially for 5 days but after several minutes we knew we will love it and decided to stay longer. You need to go up the hill to reach the house, but the view is great. It just takes a few minutes by car to be in the centre of the town. It works also without 4wd but it’s more relaxed to have it. The host offers concierge service and we were personally welcomed and guided to the house. All the contact persons were very helpful and friendly and reacted to our questions and requests within minutes. Many thanks to Rocio who helped us to find a doctor for our son 💙 The house is new, spacious and looks just great, just like in the pictures. We felt very safe, there is a gate and security checking the area the from time to time. It was very clean and the outside area of the house including pool is cleaned every day. I highly recommend both Santa Teresa and the house and would love to come back one day.

They keep their place spotless and comfy, and they're always ready to make your stay better with some cool local tips. If you're working remotely, there's a great desk space with reliable Wi-Fi. If you're a dog person, you're in for a treat. Their friendly dogs are part of the welcoming crew! Santa Teresa is this laid-back town with a strong surf vibe. You'll find cool coffee shops and quirky art stores. It's the perfect place to kick back and enjoy the vibe. Already planning my trip back here and will def be staying at Lorie and Alex's again!

A beautiful home nested within the hills of Santa Teresa, a 2 minute drive to local bars and restaurants and the beach! You will need a car or ATV to access the property. The hosts are extremely friendly and welcomed us into their home. We certainly will be returning!

We loved staying as Casa Cornejo for our honeymoon! Lorie and Alex’s place is beautiful and peaceful but a very short distance a way from the fun town of Santa Teresa. And, when it comes time to explore, the many delicious restaurants, quaint shops and white sandy beaches of Santa Teresa are only moments away via ATV. What set our stay here above the rest was the exceptional care and effort Lorie and Alex put into making sure our every need was met. Lori helped us book our ATV, and multiple excursions, I can’t overstate how helpful she was! They truly are superhosts and our experience was made 110% better having stayed in their lovely home. If you have the opportunity to book Lorie's place... don't pass on it. Hands down our favourite stay on our trip to Costa Rica! This spot is extremely private, and the sunset views cannot be beat. Lorie and Alex were awesome hosts too. Even though we had an SUV, most of Santa Teresa gets around on ATVs. Lorie and Alex helped us out in getting an ATV rental last minute which was greatly appreciated!! Don't pass on the ATV rental, it's a must-have in my opinion. Lorie and Alex were also super responsive and available at all times. The guesthouse was beautiful, but a special shoutout to the super comfortable bed and the high quality sheets. It is a bit of a bumpy path up to the place, but nothing you won't get use to after a few times. We can't wait to visit again soon!

Location, location, location! Beautiful sunsets in the infinity pool. Close but far enough up the hill from the hustle and bustle of the town. Custom home and Casita done so well, and taken care of by the owners with lots of love. We are dog lovers, so we made new friends ...and spotted some cool animals on the property. The house is clean and has everything you would need for a few days stay. The pool and the view from the house are breathtaking. Lorie & Alex provide incredible communication and offer so many suggestions that make the trip smooth and easy to navigate. We had an ATV the entire trip and I highly recommend it, it makes the trip so much more fun! I woild absolutely recommend staying here and I would give more stars if I could!

The location is unbeatable - Lorie recommended we watch the sunset from the pool one of our two nights and it was amazing. It’s a private location away from the busy town where you’re able I relax and enjoy nature. Lorie was also incredibly helpful with suggestions for where to eat, activities to do, etc. and recommendations for who to book through. Her connections in the community were great! If we come back we would definitely book with her again!

Lorie, Alex and their beautiful home made our trip to Santa Teresa absolutely perfect. Before the trip, Lorie set us up with everything- quad rentals, dinner reservations, fishing trip and more. She was SUPER helpful and wonderful before we arrived so I knew this would be an amazing stay. Their guest house is nothing short of beautiful- everything was even handcrafted by Alex! The pool is also beautifully done. There is even a place to put your lounge chairs right in there! The journey up the hill is well worth the breathtaking view of the jungle and the ocean. I have been fooled by photos of hotels/ airbbs- but this is as gorgeous as it looks. The location is great, it’s about a 4-5 min atv ride to the beach/ Santa Teresa strip. We never felt unsafe as the house is in a coded gated area, and the guest house is also coded. Lorie and Alex give you all of that info as soon as you get there. When we arrived, we were greeted by 2 beautiful pups! Another reason we felt safe. If you’re not a dog person, don’t worry, they do not bother you unless you are dog lovers like us. In that case, they love the belly rubs :) Anytime we needed anything, Lorie and Alex were always there. They gave us some quad gear like goggles for the dirt roads and a buff for my hair- very much needed. Alex even dropped the fish we caught off at their favorite restaurant (and ours too) for them to cook it for us. It was great having them as hosts because they gave us such a huge history of the area, where to go and where not to go, and gave us a lesson on monkey sounds that we heard and saw in the jungle right from our lounge chairs! We not only left very happy that we stayed there, but also sad to leave such amazing people and a beautiful home. HIGHLY recommended!

Really enjoyed our stay there. Lorie helped with rentals of 4WD. Also, the sunset is the best I've ever seen there - you can also see surfers from afar practicing their beloved sport. Amazing place!

Beautiful, modern guesthouse with a great bed, shower and kitchen. The entire west-facing wall is a sliding door that opens to mind blowing views of the sun setting over the ocean, which you can enjoy from your bed or from inside the beautiful stone pool. Hosts Lorie and Alex are lovely people and were very accommodating. We found the drive up from the beach to be very difficult with our rental car because the road is unfinished & steep, so I would suggest taking up Lorie’s recommendation to reserve a quad, which made the trip up fun and easy and it’s also the best way to tour around the beautiful beaches and unique restaurants in the Santa Teresa area. We had an absolutely wonderful stay!

Lorie and Alex's place is STUNNING. The view from up there, sunset from up there, it's exquisite. The pool is gorgeous (and super clean), the place itself is great, comfy bed and gorgeous wood furniture (and all very clean), the grill is killer for cooking meals up there -- and Lorie and Alex are the best. Incredibly welcoming, but also give you your privacy -- and Lorie was so generous in helping us with some reservations/suggestions. Only wish we could have stayed longer! DEFINITELY make sure you have a 4wd, the road up to the house absolutely requires it -- if we hadn't already booked a car for several works / were only going to be in that one area, we would have rented quads instead -- but at least make sure you've got 4wd!

Casa Corneja is the perfect place to stay, in the perfect location with the best views in Santa Teresa. Lorie and Alex were wonderful hosts. Hope to be back again soon!

What a location. Best view and sundowners ever. And close to all the action. And then havinge Lorie and Alex as host. Can’t wish for more.

This place is simple amazing. We hade 3 nights with beautiful sunsets and good barbecue at the grill. The host was really friendly and helpful and answered all the questions we had. The bed was really comfortable!! We will definitely come back when we are in town. Pura vida!

I've stayed in dozens of Airbnbs over the last 5 years--Lorie and Alex's place stands out as one of the most exceptional. The house and the grounds around it are stunning and were clearly designed and built with care. Alex is incredibly warm, friendly, and an all-around awesome host. My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights there and were so bummed when it was time for us to head home. If you're looking for a peaceful, beautiful place to stay just a few minutes above the hustle and bustle of Santa Teresa, look no further! We can't wait to come back!

The guesthouse is a lovely place to stay. It is new, clean and has everything you need. The pool is great and the sea view is never boring. We enjoyed it very much, also the two friendly dogs. Lorie responds quickly, the contact with Alex on site was also great. A 4x4 is recommended for the (short) climb up. We had a fantastic stay with Lorie and Alex! The guest house has a beautiful view over the ocean, having dinner on the patio over looking the coast was the highlight of our trip. The shared pool is also a huge draw! The bed was comfortable and the room very bright and pleasant. We are so happy with our stay and highly recommend this gorgeous property!
