Super awesome

We stayed as two families of four, with kids ranging from 5-8 and this place was amazing for us! There is ample space and the homes are kept very clean. The setting and views are spectacular. We saw more wildlife around the villas and property than we did in our tour of Manuel Antonio, including “monkey o’clock” when monkeys would visit every evening (a bug highlight for our kids). This pictures don’t really do it justice. We enjoyed many hours on the large covered deck and made good use of the outdoor kitchen. One of the best parts for our crew was the covered pool! Our kids LOVED it and not having to worry about sun exposure while they enjoyed it was a huge plus. It was also super fun to explore the jungle path to the beach. We spotted sloths along the way and enjoyed finding hermit crabs on the beach. We would absolutely return and highly recommend for a family vacation!

Our family of 13 , from 6 to 75 visited Costa Rica for the very first time and stayed at Lapa villas for 10 wonderful days. There aren’t enough explicatives to describe how much we loved our stay and it is mostly because of Jason’s beautiful villas and incredible staff. He and concierge Carli were always responsive. Carli helped us arrange numerous adventures ,two scrumptious meals provided by chef Chris and gave us advice on everything local including shopping, restaurant selections and beaches. Jason’s delightful staff keeps the lodgings impeccably clean and the pool and surrounding landscaped areas perfectly maintained without us hardly noticing that they were there, although we loved visiting with them. We mostly hung out by the open kitchen and pool area, but there was plenty of room if someone needed privacy or quiet also. The highlight was the monkey and bird visits every night ! The kids won’t forget feeding the squirrel monkeys. BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!

Amazing stay! The house was perfect for our group of 3 couples and 3 kids, everyone had plenty of space and it never felt crowded. There was also a beautiful pool with an incredible view and a great hangout area where we grilled out, made drinks, played music on the speakers, and spent time together. The hosts were incredibly helpful with restaurant recommendations, booking our excursions, and answering all the questions that came up in between. They always responded within minutes. We saw amazing wildlife every day right at the house; howler monkeys, capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, and a huge iguana. (Don’t forget to bring your fresh bananas!) It truly was an amazing trip and we made wonderful memories with our family. Highly recommend staying here!

I've used Airbnb extensively over the last decade- I can't think of a place I enjoyed staying at more than this one! The property of the house was directly bordering a large rainforest and I'll never forget all the wildlife. We saw parrots every day, toucans, blue morpho butterflies, and many other species. But the highlight was the monkeys! We had one or two visits from different troops of three different species of monkeys every day. My children will never forget our stay there.

Jason and Carlie were extraordinary hosts! The house was beautiful with incredible views from every room, the grounds are immaculately kept, plenty to do nearby, and most importantly the hosts were responsive and helpful. Wildlife visited the home daily (monkeys, agoutis, macaws, toucans). There was plenty to do at the house without ever needing to leave, but there were also incredible restaurants within short walking distance, although it is hilly. The beach that the Airbnb connects to was beautiful and we saw two whales in the bay on a catamaran tour. Overall, one of the best vacations I’ve ever had with an outstanding team of staff. 100% would stay again!

This property was great for 3 families and kids. Every family got their own level. There was so much to do on the property. The pool was clean and warm, we spent so much time in there. Kids loved the pool and also the beach. The outdoor kitchen was amazing. We used the recommend chef for dinner and breakfast day of travel, the food was amazing and took some stress off the travel day. They assisted in booking tours. The best part was the wildlife; squirrel monkeys, white face monkeys, howler monkeys, and lots of birds. Defiantly very unique vacation rental experience. The owners were very responsive with issues.

This was one of the best Airbnb I have ever been to. The house was super nice, the surroundings were lovely and Carli did an awesome job to make our stay sublim👍👍❤️ Carli booked the chef Diego to prepare a wonderful dinner for us. His food and his service was absolute top class and he deserves our highest recommendations ‼️ To sun up: GO GO GO you will love it

We were a mixed group of 7 friends and family looking for a spacious place with plenty of nature. This place had it all!!! Two separate villas and a third one being built. There is a semi private beach, creatures galore and plenty of room for everyone to have their personal space to decompress. The lower villa is listed as the more rustic experience but in my opinion, that is the place to be! The outdoor kitchen is amazing! The monkeys came at the same time everyday, we saw toucans, lizards, and macaws all on property! Jason is the owner of the property and Carli is the concierge. They were both very communicative before our trip. I’d like to give a special shout out to Carli because she arranged pick up to and from the airport, all of our tours, arranged a private chef for us and massages. If not for her this trip would not have gone as seamlessly as it did. I HIGHLY recommend this property. We will be returning

Great gathering place. Loved it. Description was accurate (except for bedroom 3 which I thought had a queen bed and 2 single beds, but the 2 single beds are pushed together to become a queen). Has everything you could want: outdoor kitchen, plenty of rooms, covered pool, private trail, concierge services, wildlife. We were able to see lizards, monkeys, and a sloth on the property! We did have a couple of minor issues but they were always resolved quickly. I especially appreciated Carli the concierge helping coordinate so many things for us like the chef, shuttles, and park tours. My only gripe is that we wouldn't always get a follow-up with additional info and had to do so ourselves. The villas were cleaned daily, but laundry didn't get seem to be picked up. We were however able to do it ourselves with the laundry machines on-site. There was some ongoing construction a bit below the property. There was some noise, but I didn't find them too bothersome. I would stay here again.

We will probably never stay anywhere else when we visit. It’s super close to everywhere we want to be and laid out perfectly for multiple family vacations. We had 5 couples and there is more than enough room for everyone to have their space as well as great congregating areas. Every room made you feel like you had the best seat in the house. Thank you so much to Carli for everything while we were there and Jason for letting us be guests in his home. See you again soon!!

This was our 4th time renting a home in the area, so we were very familiar with the neighborhood and Lapa Villas exceeded our expectations. We were 2 families with 6 young adults between us. This house allowed each group (4 parents, 4-18 year olds, 2-21 year olds) to have their own space, but had great space for us all to come together. The bathrooms were all spacious as was the living space. We had a chef come in to cook dinner each night & both kitchens had everything that we needed for cooking and serving our large group. We really loved the outdoor kitchen on the lower level, and the covered patio was a wonderful respite on the rainy afternoons. We were still able to enjoy the pool, play games at the big table and eat meals and be outside. Each afternoon after our activity, we sat in the outdoor kitchen area and the monkeys came almost on schedule to visit us. The beach path is quite steep, but do-able and absolutely worth the hike. We are already planning to visit next year!
