Lapa Villas is perfect for large groups of families and friends to enjoy a true Costa Rican experience. Two villas on a large property with pool, hot tub, sauna, lush gardens, ocean views, private jungle trail to a semi private beach. Experience the magic of Costa Rica wildlife right at the villas. 3 types of monkeys, sloths, toucans, macaws, endless species of birds, all frequent the property. You may experience more wildlife at Lapa Villas than the national park - only 5 minutes away. The space Lapa Villas consist of 2 houses with a total of 6 bedrooms & bathrooms on a beautiful, lush property on Quepos Point. This part of Manuel Antonio is known for its natural beauty and wildlife. There is a private trail the the private jungle leading down to a semi-private, sand & rock beach (5 min walk ) and there are also 2 other beaches within walking distance--including Playa Biesanz, a cove beach with small waves (12 min walk), and Playa Espadilla, the main public beach (20 min walk ). Situated between the villas and the beach is a stretch of untouched National Forest - Jungle - which is home to three types of monkeys ( Howler, Squirrel and Capuchin ). Sloths, Macaws, Toucans, endless species of birds, Coatis, Raccoons and even Ocelots. While its just a few minutes walk through the forest to the beach, you can hike and explore the serene forest for miles in either direction as it stretches along the ocean coast. The property is centered around the the lower house (#2), which is the heart of the property. The home itself is centered perfectly between flowering gardens, the covered pool area, and the open-air kitchen & outdoor lounge. It is charmingly rustic and also a bit funky. There are 2 spacious bedrooms plus a downstairs bedroom accessed via the exterior (next to the sauna). The master bedroom has a king bed and a private bathroom with a huge open shower, and the guest room has a bunkbed with a queen on bottom and single on top, also with a large private bathroom. The furniture, ceilings and floors are of tropical hardwoods. The outdoor kitchen and lounge area also have a warm, wooden, organic feel and are where you'll spend all of your time. The outdoor kitchen is the heart of the property with 2 bars and bar stools on both sides, a large dining room table and perfect pool for both kids and adults. The dining area spills over into the pool area--a heated pool, nice for any season with comfortable poolside table sofa and chairs. On the lower level of #2 is an additional, independently-accessed bedroom with 2 twin beds, with its private bathroom. AND a sauna! (In case the tropical heat isn't enough for you!) Finally--a cobblestone trail leads to a semi-private, little-visited beach! (Please note that the trail is NOT flat--there are lots of steps and a handrail along the steeper parts, but still requires caution, and it is a workout coming back up). That said it is beautiful serene and private jungle. The upper home (#1) is 4 levels, and is spacious as well as more modern than the lower home. The main apartment, one level above the road/garage level, has 2 equally appointment bedrooms, both with King beds. There is an open floor plan for the living area - dining - kitchen areas. The kitchen itself is charming, crafted of beautiful teak wood, and has everything you need to feel at home. In the living area are a large 55" flatscreen TV and a good Bluetooth speaker. There is a 100MBps internet wifi connection as well. A flight of stairs takes you up to the rooftop terrace, with the best ocean views and also a dreamy jacuzzi! On the street level are 4 independent parking garages for exclusive use for the guests. One level down from the street/garage level is an open gym. Finally--there are 2 additional bedrooms accessed via the same level as the gym. One has 1 king + 1 twin beds and the other has 1 queen + 1 twin beds. #1 - Upper Home (top to bottom): Level 4 - Rooftop terrace & jacuzzi Level 3 - 2 Bedrooms (King) & Bathrooms. The pool is ideal for kids and is totally private. The outdoor kitchen is a lively place, and the area where everyone gathers to eat, play and have fun. Ask us about including chef services to make it an even more enjoyable stay! Accessibility: Please note that like most properties in Manuel Antonio we are on the hill. We are not a wheelchair accessible property. There are stairs required to reach both villas and the beach. Guest access Guests get exclusive access to the entire property, both villas, and the garage with parking for 4 vehicles. The jungle trails and all beaches are public property but due to the limited access you will find them to be mostly private. We do share the beach with a nearby boutique hotel, so there may be a few people there. The jungle trails are magnificently private. Our staff (groundskeeper, maintenance and housekeeping) work on the property Monday - Saturday and are flexible to adjust to meet your schedule upon request.
