The location couldn't be better, the hosts are always available to answer any questions, and the house is very nice, with good spaces. I would definitely stay here again.

Lau and her family are incredibly responsive. When we asked for some additional and slightly more comfortable terrace furniture Lau show up the next day and helped carry the furniture to the roof! This was very important to us because the house is wonderful, but there are two areas to gather in the kitchen and on the patio. The house is located in a private and calm side street but close to everything. The bedrooms are ample and spacious and the cleaning service is fabulous. We took the house for a month which includes several free cleaning(s) and there was weekly pick up of the garbage. The terrace has amazing views and we were very happy there. There is a micro wave and importantly, a really nice bbq on the roof terrace which we used several times. Looking forward to our next stay at the house.

Very nice location with plenty of bedrooms. I enjoyed the house but must admit the showers were a big disappointment, with the water spraying in all sorts of random directions and it would take a long time to shower. Also the first floor has a totally isolated bedroom which I guess was ok for us but still a little weird. Overall a large family would probably get a lot of value from it and it's location was absolutely ideal.

The accommodation was very comfortable for the family, each with the necessary privacy and ease of access on their own. The location and security of the place are excellent. And Lau was attentive.

Excellent location!! Just a few blocks from Santo Domingo temple. The house had what you need for our stay and the beds are very comfortable to my liking. There are several nearby convenience stores and several resaurantes also. Overall, very well.

Ideal for family or large group lodging, very comfortable, independent rooms and bathrooms. Very close to downtown, nice to get around by walking anywhere without needing a car if they like to walk and enjoy the area. Very quiet area with accessible places to eat, public parking lots nearby.

We loved the location, it's perfect for walking sightseeing. The house was perfect, the bedrooms very comfortable and clean. In the house there was a super good guide to restaurants, maps, places to know and service phones. Laura's communication and kindness made us feel very comfortable. I highly recommend it.

Lau’s home in Oaxaca is a gem, located in one of the best communities in a safe part of the city. Great Terrace with a 360 view that allows you to enjoy the mornings and get a sense of where you are.

Highly recommended and perfect for large groups

This place is a couple blocks from Santo Domingo, close to restaurants and plenty of things to do just a few steps away. Place was nice and quiet, every room has its own private bathroom and AC but I wish there was a living room because it felt a little crowded other than that it was perfect.

The house is in a very good area, walking you get to the tourist walker. What we loved the most is that each couple had their own room and bathroom. Impeccable cleanliness and attention

Located very close to the important areas of downtown, if they are young or like to taste the mezcal there are many mezcalerias in the area as well as restaurants and cafes, the park is perfect for walking at night

I was unable to go on this trip, however my trip mates provided the following review: Location was ideal. All rooms were comfortable, clean, and as described. Kitchen adequately met their needs. Only issues were that the tile makes the house very echo-y. Conversations could be heard in other rooms of the house. Also the only communal space is outdoors and not comfortable during chilly evenings in October/November.

The house has an unbeatable location. We had several events in the center and we were all within a five or ten minute walk. Lau was always very attentive and helped us with any questions.

Excellent place, very downtown and safe, close to everything and Lau is super accessible.

The private area where the house is located is quiet, it is not noisy, there is a park on the back street, and there are many cafes and restaurants nearby. All rooms have air conditioning, TV, bathroom and blackout blinds. As other travelers have mentioned, it does not have a living room, the terrace is on the third floor, and one of the rooms is outside the house. We already knew that and had no problem with it. To ventilate the house and the bathrooms, you have to open all the windows and doors (there are a lot of mosquitoes), but the house cools down quickly. We stayed for 1 week and had to buy soap, shampoo, etc., since there are some small bottles that you use once and they run out.

This was a great spot for my group of 6. Comfy rooms, clean bathrooms, great privacy, beautiful terrace, and excellent location. Highly recommend for anyone with a big group.

Great communication from host and very close to a lot of restaurants!

This house has 5 bedrooms, each with a VERY comfortable bed (or two) spotlessly clean bathroom and fabulous air conditioning. As described in the posting, there is no living room (which I have to admit I missed, but knew that going in), but we enjoyed sitting on the rooftop patio every morning and when we returned in the evening. Lau was super accommodating! We had a chef come to the house one night to prepare dinner for us, and Lau went out of her way to make sure we had a table and chairs on the patio. We had a couple of small issues during our stay and she came out at 12:30 at night to deal with it. Unbelievable! My only problem with the house is that there is no air conditioning in the kitchen. Nevertheless, I would recommend this property to anyone needing lots of bedrooms. Thank you Lau for a wonderful week!

Excellent property, especially for large families or groups. The whole house is very clean and tidy, and the area is spectacular since you can walk to Calle Macedonio! Lau and Luis are super hosts. They always helped me with all the questions I had!!

Casa Lau exceeded our expectations. The house is located in a private and safe area yet close to great small restaurants and stores. Plaza Santo Domingo is very close by and El Zocalo is a beautiful full-of-things-to-see walk. The house offers privacy for every room. We were greeted with flowers and bottled water (we were so thirsty.) The two rooms on the ground floor are perfect if you have mobility challenges. The host was incredibly responsive and even drove to the house to help us with one of the TVs. We also needed reliable transportation to the airport for a 4:30am pick-up! The driver Casa Lau recommended was there punctually at 4:20am. All of this contributed greatly to our enjoyment of beautiful Oaxaca. Thank you!

Lau and Luis were great hosts and extremely responsive. We visited Oaxaca for a wedding and the house was perfect for our group. It was walkable to all the events, restaurants, and local Mercados. Lau and Luis gave us great recommendations for restaurants and other activities. We will come back!

We felt safety like home

The location is perfect. On a quiet little street in the best area of downtown, a few blocks from Santo Domingo. The house is very practical, clean, comfortable and functional, and the best thing is that it has a password entry, so that with 10 guests, the keys are not an issue. The air conditioning and TVs in the rooms work perfectly, and the beds are very comfortable. We missed days to take advantage of the rooftop terrace, which is also very nice. Communication with Lau was always fluid and with quick responses. If I were to make a suggestion, it would be to put a small table in each bathroom, under the sink, to put the bathroom cases there. Casa Lau is a great option, which I hope to take advantage of again when I return to the beautiful city of Oaxaca.

Lau's home was a perfect place to stay at for our first visit to Oaxaca. The home is beautiful and centrally located to all the places we planned to visit. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us. It's tucked in a quiet road and walking distance to shops, markets and dining. Such a gem. Lau and Luis were professional and responded quickly to our needs. Just finished staying at this location in Oaxaca de Juarez. Beds and pillows were comfortable and really liked that each room has its own bathroom so no need to wait for everyone to get ready. Location is just a short walk away from center of town and a lot of popular places to visit or eat. Laundry, shampoo, and soap are a nice plus!

This space helped make our stay in Oaxaca wonderful. The proximity and location of the house, relative to great restaurants, shops and sights was definitely the highlight of the Airbnb. The location is quiet, away from street noise and our check in/check out process was easy. Communication with Lau was effortless and genuine, taking our comfort level to greater heights. Something we noticed was the proximity of taxis, since there is a prominent hotel nearby. This was helpful to us, note to get a taxi on Sundays you will need to walk down to one of the more prominent streets. As others have noted there is no ‘living room’ space, we made use of the rooftop seating each night when we wanted to sit and relax. The washer and dryer was helpful. The rooms are exactly as the photos reflect, spacious bathrooms and modern fixtures.

We spent about a week at this lovely, well located home. It was a short walk down a charming (mostly) pedestrian boulevard to centro and all the restaurants and shops of Oaxaca. The house's many bedrooms and bathrooms give everyone maximum privacy. The beds were very comfortable and house was well cared for and clean. Would def recommend.

This home was absolutely perfect for our group!!! While there isn’t a huge communal space inside the house, we enjoyed hanging out on the roof together to enjoy the beautiful weather. The rooms and bathrooms were sparkling clean and provided the privacy a group of friends need on a long vacation. The beds and sheets were the most comfortable of all of the places we stayed during our vacation. The location in Oaxaca is the best part!! Walkable to nearly everywhere you would need to be and the street was quiet and safe. Lau was incredibly responsive and answered all of our questions and tended to all of our needs in a timely fashion. Would recommend this home to anyone traveling to Oaxaca with friends or family.

Amazing hosts and an excellent place to stay! If you're looking for spacious, modern accommodations within walking distance of both Reforma and Centro, this is it. The house is located on a nice, private (read: quiet) block just steps from Jardin Conzatti. Walking to the Templo de Santo Domingo area at night felt safe and convenient. The house itself is air-conditioned and provides the modern amenities you could reasonably need, and it's got an amazing rooftop with nice views of your surroundings. More than anything, I was amazed by our hosts' kindness, responsiveness, and willingness to go out of their way to make our stay comfortable. Highly recommended!

Lau’s apartment was very clean and in an excellent location if you plan to stroll around the Centro area. We didn’t use our car rental once after we parked it outside the apartment. Neighbourhood is very quiet as well. The bedrooms are large and each with a nice large ensuite all with solid A/C. Kitchen is nicely appointed if you did feel like cooking but the food in Oaxaca is so good it’s hard to justify cooking yourself. The apartment doesn’t really have a classic common area inside (you can sit around the kitchen table). There is a very nice rooftop patio with a view of the city and surrounding hills and loads of room for use as an outside common area. We would stay at Lau’s apartment again in the future.

Lau is a fantastic host, evening scaling rooftops to get us in when we managed to lock ourselves out. In the middle of the night. The house is perfectly located in a very quiet neighborhood but quite convenient to every place we wanted to visit,

Amazing location and great space. Each bedroom has its own bathroom which was pretty cool. You’re 5-10 mins walking distance to the main places, bars, restaurants and Templo Santo Domingo. Only thing is that it doesn’t have an indoor living area for everyone to be in, which is really not a huge deal given the location

Lau is the perfect host. Not only was her place centrally located in Centro in a safe neighborhood overlooking a beautiful park, but also the finishes and quality of beds were incredibly high, especially given the area. She was also incredibly helpful when it came to connecting my group and I with covid testing both in Oaxaca and in Puerto Escondido. Her hospitality is unmatched!

Such a fabulous host + home in a perfect location (close to the Zocalo). We had a previously horrible/dangerous Airbnb situation, so we had to find a new Airbnb quickly. She came through, approved us, and allowed us to stay in her home. She helped with Covid testing, transportation, and general advice for the city. I'm so happy with the stay. The home is beautiful. Every room has a large bed, AC, and its own bathroom. Highly recommend and would stay again in a heartbeat.
