We loved staying at the house! It was spacious and the pool was a huge hit with the kids. Johanna was very responsive and helpful with any house quirks and arranging excursions.

We had a great stay at Marion’s property. The home is set up in the hills with wide views over the jungle and out toward the ocean, and it feels very private while still being a short drive into Samara. The house was clean, well set up, and very comfortable for our family of four. The pool and deck ended up being where we spent most of our time, especially in the mornings and evenings. Watching the sunset from the deck each night was a highlight. The last stretch of the drive is on dirt roads. We were glad to have a 4WD vehicle, though it’s a short distance and manageable. Johannah was very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. She gave clear directions, checked in when needed, and made everything easy from arrival through checkout. Overall, this is a good option if you want a quiet place close to Samara with space indoors and outdoors to relax. We’d stay here again.

The best part about this place is the unmatched incredible view! We also like that the swimming pool was very large! The host was very easy to communicate with and that was helpful! Samara is a great place to visit!! The beaches are great and not too crowded! We felt completely safe, and there is no fear of crime. Wherever you do go, you have to be careful with creatures that get inside and in the lower level, we had a larger scorpion on steps and the next day we found a juvenile scorpion, both of them my husband bravely captured and threw outdoors. We understood because to find creatures in house is pretty normal, but be advised to watch, especially in lower level. Other things that we liked about the house is that it had excellent appliances and it had many special little things to welcome us like some snacks and a pineapple and also wine and beer! The attention to detail was really special! We enjoyed are stay! Thank you!

We loved our time at this property. It was comfortable, clean and very peaceful. The views from the deck were incredible. Johannah was very quick to respond super helpful prior and during our stay. We will definitely be back to Samara and would definitely stay at this property again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Marion's place. It was clean, comfortable and all 6 of us felt right at home. The beds are so comfy and the air conditioners in each bedroom was much appreciated! The pool was our favorite part of the beginning and end of every day. Johannaha was quick to respond with any questions or requests and was always lovely. We loved our time in Costa Rica and this air bnb only made it more special. Thanks again, we'll be back!!!

In all my AirBnB stays all over the world, I’ve never met a more responsive host than Johannah. She even offered to meet us at the road to find the home when we first arrived. She went out of her way to help me with any and all questions I had and even came over one night when needed. I’d give her all the stars for being so attentive and looking after us. The house is gorgeous, surroundings are spectacular and the pool so refreshing. House was well equipped and very peaceful. We loved hearing the howler monkeys, seeing geckos and we even named the wild iguana Eddy. Wonderful stay!!

This villa is exceptional. We are elsewhere, the view is breathtaking. The sunsets are splendid. The patio space is really perfect, and the few gym stuff made my guy happy. Very nice pool, equipped kitchen, but it would be missing an oven hood. The only downside would be the sheets and pillow, it is not up to the rest; as well as the patio chairs. No sun lounger but the armchair is very cool for relaxing in the shade. Very safe place, quiet, huge room.

An amazing retreat in the jungle canopy. Easy to get to Samara and local beach towns. Very private and serene surroundings with an incredible view. We can’t wait to go back!

We had an amazing stay at Marion's place in Samara. Marion's manager Johannah helped us locate a local a car rental and made some great suggestions for or itinerary. The place was clean and welcoming in a stunningly beautiful mountainous jungle setting less than 2 miles from town. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Samara looking for a a quiet and beautiful private setting. We are looking forward to a future return visit.

Great location! Beautiful view and beautiful place! Our little family enjoyed it! Close to Sámara (6-minute drive), but absolute tranquility when we returned! Everything we needed was available in the house. Little Costa Rican paradise! Johannah was very responsive during our stay! Beautiful place!

This was a beautiful property that worked great for us. The pool was a highlight for the kids and the spectacular jungle view was a highlight for the adults. It's located on a somewhat steep dirt road about 8 miles from Samara. Kitchen was well stocked and we cooked dinner for five most nights. Master bedroom is upstairs with the other two bedrooms downstairs. The bathtub was missing a stopper and that was a bit disappointing as the photos had us excited to use it. Other than that minor issue, we highly recommend this property and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

We loved every minute we spent there. The view is breathtaking beautiful. You can just sit on the terrace and just enjoy the view or have a swim in their great pool and enjoy the surroundings. The house itself is very convenient with everything you need and very spacious. We truly loved it. Samara beach is a short drive and a perfect place to surf, especially for beginners. It took us a very long time to find a place on AirBnB that met our expectations and wishes but we were more than satisfied with this match. Highly recommended and Johannah was super helpful and responsive.
