We loved our stay on the beautiful island. From the moment we arrived, Lesbia and Wilber made us feel right at home. We would definitely recommend it and look forward to returning very soon.

Wilber and Lesbia were fantastic. The place was spotless and they have cultivated a great environment to slow down and relax. If relaxation is what you’re looking for this is a great retreat. I would recommend getting scooters or ATVs to access this place it is about an hour from the port. Thank you Wilber and Lesbia!

A paradise overlooking the volcano! There were 4 of us adults, and we stayed for 4 days. We still wanted more time in this wonderful place. Nearby are all the most luxurious party venues on the island. Surrounded by vegetation, medicinal plants, fruit trees, birds and a delicious aroma, with a breathtaking view of the volcano; but the extraordinary bonus is the service from Wilber and Lesbia: close, friendly, always attentive and with recommendations that made our stay incredible. I highly recommend this place for anyone who loves nature, peace, animals and real time to disconnect, with the care of these two wonderful hosts. We'll be back soon with my family. Wilber and Lesbia were wonderful. The use of the kayaks was a huge bonus. The setting is outrageously stunning.Mornings were breath-taking and sunsets were a dream.

We absolutely loved our stay and would highly recommend this place to everyone! The view was absolutely beautiful, the accommodation was very private and intimate, and the hosts were always quick to respond whenever we had a question. It was everything we were hoping for and more! We would definitely stay here again.

This is my second time to Ometepe in two years and my second stay at Wilber and Lesbia's place. It was my girlfriend's first time to Nicaragua. We will return to this home as much as possible. it's my favorite by far. the garden is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The amount of love and happiness put into place on the land shows. the first time I stayed was in May 2024 and there were THOUSANDS of mangoes on the ground from the trees in the yard. In August 2026, there are no mangoes to be found (its not mango season) ....HOWEVER...the amount of fruits and vegetables on property, in season, was something unique and special. I will list the ones I remember here: Limon Oregano Basil Two different mints Spinach Tumeric Starfruit Corn Jackfruit Ginger Cinammon Tree Miracle Plant SEVERAL Coconut Trees and more that I cant remember. The view of the volcano cannot be forgotten. Amazing and attentive hosts. i truly love these people. I consider them family. I hope you do to! Friends for life! Thank you

We had a wonderful stay here! The hosts were so kind and welcoming, and the Airbnb itself was beautiful. The location right by Lake Nicaragua was absolutely gorgeous, and we loved the beautiful garden on the property. They also offer breakfast that you can order, which was such a nice touch. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again! ❤️

We had an amazing time staying at La isla Bonita. Lesbia and Wilber were very accommodating and answered any questions we had. They also have a moto available for rent and Kayaks you can use. The cabin has amazing views of the volcano with a secluded beach right at your doorstep! We were very sad to leave and hope we can make it back to this dream of a island soon. Our stay was absolutely wonderful! The property is stunning—it truly felt like staying in the middle of a botanical garden. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcomed us with fresh organic bananas and a guanábana from the property. They also invited us to pick anything we wanted from the garden, which was such a special touch. I loved making fresh lemongrass and cinnamon tea each morning. The view of Volcano Concepción was absolutely breathtaking and one of our favorite parts of our stay. Although there isn't air conditioning, the fans kept the house comfortable, and we slept well every night. The kitchen was easy to use and stocked with everything we needed to prepare meals. Most importantly, the hosts were warm, welcoming, and extremely responsive. They even helped us coordinate assistance when we got a flat tire, which we really appreciated. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on Ometepe and would happily return. Highly recommend!

We’ve stayed all over Ometepe but this place is our favorite!! It’s so special and magical. Feels like a secret gem. Very private and quiet, but the sweet hosts Wilber and Lesbia went out of their way to let us know they were around and available if we needed anything. They also gave us some very helpful local recommendations. The cabin is clean with such beautiful and unique design. Very spacious and airy and bright. Being right on the lake is incredible, but you’re just far enough back behind some trees that you’re sheltered from the full force of the winds. We will absolutely come back here again and again!

Perfect for spending time as a family and getting away from the stress of the city. Perfect for bringing groceries and cooking... Very nice.

This place was beautiful. The location was perfect: you're steps from the lake and the view is amazing. The bed was super comfortable and the kitchen was very practical. The Loana restaurant brings your food to the door, and it's delicious. From the beach, you can walk 20 minutes to Playa Mangos and 15 minutes to the Cabellito restaurant.

Isla Bonita was extremely beautiful! The photos do not do it justice! Not only is Lake Nicaragua so beautiful, but being right on the beach right on the water looking across to volcano conception was what’s surreal. There was so much wildlife on the property, from chickens to cats and dogs. I even woke up a horse and her baby running along the beach, which was so beautiful. The property is about 45 minutes to an hour away from the nearest ferry, so please keep that into account when you are booking, but totally worth it. It was a beautiful hideaway. Pretty easy to get! Lesbia was a wonderful host. She made me breakfast the first night I was there and we talked about life, goals for the future, she helped me plan my day and set up transportation. I ran into an issue prior to my arrival and she did her best to try and help me, which was very appreciated! Overall, I highly recommend Isla Bonita to anyone visiting Ometepe islands! Very close I would definitely stay here again & longer!

This is a really beautiful place to stay for a few days of peace and tranquility. We love the rustic charm and amazing garden, all right next to the water. We used the available kayaks every day. The host was very helpful in providing recommendations for horseback riding and restaurants. We loved our stay here!

Private and quiet. Very clean. Wilber and his family were very helpful and can answer any questions or help with any issues. Everything was perfect!

Lesbia was very accommodating the first night we arrived, as we were exhausted and hungry. She was very responsive throughout the whole Stay. The family seems very kind and hardworking. The house is literally in the jungle and very private. Be careful getting there, follow their directions on the listing! We found it easy because I followed their instructions. Have in mind that they don't have hot water as it is stated on the lsiting. Also, no AC. They prep great breakfasts if you schedule one for the next morning. It is definitely a very raw and wild jungle experience. They have a beautiful garden full of herbs and flowers, trees and palms.

Oh my gosh, we couldn’t recommend this place enough! First and foremost, the hosts were incredibly kind and responsive, helping us book multiple taxis / transfers and making sure we always felt taken care of. I don’t know how we would’ve done it without them. Secondly, the place is truly magical - right on the lake, with gorgeous gardens, a spacious house (with plenty of fans!), reading chairs by the lake that we took multiple naps in, kayaks we could use at anytime, and absolutely spectacular views of the volcano. It was very peaceful, remote and secluded but still some delicious restaurants within walking distance. We really enjoyed all the sweet animals that came to visit us - a handful of dogs and cats, plus chickens! One of the mornings, we also ordered breakfast from our hosts - it was brought right to our table and it was so fresh and delicious. We’re already discussing when we’d like to come back next. We stayed at Wilber and Lesbia's listing while visiting Ometepe. The host was very helpful and accommodating. The only thing thing I had a problem with was that the location is a bit inconvenient if your goal is to party, which was my goal. That being said, in my opinion this location is best if you are a small family or are looking for a more quiet and nature based experience. The view of Concepcion from the listing is also breathtaking in the morning.

The place is beautiful, rustic and with a spectacular view. Very good service from the owners. I would have loved to be able to stay longer.

The home was situated in a peaceful, secluded area while still being incredibly close to everything. It was less than a one-minute walk to the lake, where you could enjoy stunning views of Volcano Concepción, especially at sunset.

This was a great choice for an our stay on the island. There was room for our rental car. The grounds and and cabins were so peaceful, and have the best view of the sunset. We kayaked and enjoyed the stars from the shoreline. Wish we had stayed longer.

Communication with Lesbia was excellent! The lakefront cottage is a dream. I hope to be back soon! Totally recommended :)

Me and my two friends fell in love with this place. We would easily have stayed for several weeks. Everything was clean, and the view was amazing. The hosts were responsive, welcoming, and incredibly kind. I would stay here again at any time and highly recommend it.

We wanted to stay an extra night in the other house they manage, but since it wasn’t available we came to this one. It was just as lovely, although there is no AC (which we knew ahead of time and were okay with that to get one more night there). They had multiple fans and the open windows allowed for a nice breeze. We loved relaxing in the hammocks, and the garden here is so beautiful and lush! So many delicious fruits. We enjoyed cooling down in the lake from the private beach at night after a long hike up to the San Ramon Waterfall, which Wilbur provided a dirtbike for us to use (highly recommend instead of doing the entire hike if it’s hot out). We took the bike out to the other side of the island for an amazing dinner that Wilbur recommended, and again had an incredible overall stay thanks to him and Lesbia. Walkable to mini markets and sodas for any necessities you may need. Highly recommend this home!

Absolutely gorgeous location right next to the lake. The perfect spot for sunsets. Great place to unwind and get away, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves despite there being other cabins on the property. A real hidden gem.

Isla Bonita is a peaceful place right on the lake. The home and grounds are extremely well kept and the host was great with communication before our arrival and during our stay. You do need your own transport but it is so worth it to stay a bit off the beaten path. And we found dinner in Merida each evening. Also, we took advantage of the horseback riding tour and it was really wonderful as well. Highly recommended!

We love everything about the place. Beautiful location, environment, views. Enjoyed swimming in the lake watching the sun set with amazing view of the volcano. Close to the waterfall hike at San Ramon and Ojo del Agua. We ate a variety of places and enjoyed every one. It was also very private compared to a hotel or hostel. We appreciated having our own space inside and out.

We loved this place and would stay here in a heartbeat the next time we go to Ometepe. The view is amazing, as is the private beach. The place itself is gorgeous and we loved waking up in the morning to the sun streaming in. Lesbia was incredibly helpful and arranged our motorbike, taxi, horseback riding, kayaking, etc… definitely ask her for recommendations of tour guides/activities. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

It is a very peaceful and beautiful location. I could sit by the lakeside for hours reading a book or just meditate on the breathtaking view of Mt. Conception in front of you. The hosts were friendly and helpful. You can swim in lake Cocibolca as it's very clean. Also they have kayaks you can use. Isla de Ometepe is an island paradise well worth the effort to get to. Truely one of the most beautiful and special places I have ever been to.

Communication was easy and there was no language barrier at all. We hope to be back again sometime.

They undersell how beautiful of a place this cabin is in. It is right on the lake with a direct view of the Concepcion volcano, amongst a beautiful garden with lots of fresh fruits and animals. The place can get full of bugs/insects purely due to the location, but I'd say it's worth it due to how nice of a vibe it is. They sorted us out with a great guide/bike and kayak hire as well. The kitchen felt a little bit unusable because of the bugs, but there was super cheap restaurant you could order from and they would deliver to the door. Would definitely stay again!

The garden was so beautiful and well maintained, it was a little bit of paradise and super private. Best spot for golden hour. Ometepe was a cool vibe. We enjoyed the house and location

We had a lovely stay at Wilber and Lesbia’s property. The view of the lake is simply breathtaking and the area is so peaceful. It was quite difficult to find in the dark but the instructions were clear. Highly recommend this place :) I would definitely hire a car/motorbike as there isn’t too much around in walking distance.

This place was everything it said it was and more! It’s so secluded and peaceful but close to a lot of things to walk or short scooter ride. They were very accommodating to helping us rent scooters, giving us recommendations and helping us around the complex. Would definitely recommend!

Beautiful spot, tucked away in a lovely garden/natural setting on the lake. Location was private with incredible views of the volcano and we enjoyed the authentic rustic experience at the house. Our children aged 11 and 14 enjoyed visits from local cats, dogs and chicken. The home was clean, beds comfortable, and had everything we needed for our short stay. The hosts even helped us set up the ferry for our vehicle and family, making the process of getting here feel even easier. Recommend if you’re okay with a semi-open air kitchen (has screening) and no AC, but lots of fans to make sleeping comfortable.

If you’re going to Ometepe Island. Beautiful island and a delightful little house—it's the perfect place!!!!! Peace. Tranquility. Nature. The hosts are very friendly, very helpful, and respond instantly. The cottage is special!!! It’s just a few steps from the lakeshore, which makes it unique. With views of the Concepción Volcano and a beautiful sunset! We will definitely return to this magical place!

Very nice stay in a dream setting: the lake, the view of the Conception volcano, the birds, the dogs, the cat, the chickens, and the chicks—what more could you ask for to make your stay unforgettable? Ideally, it is best to have a means of transport. It’s 45–50 minutes from Moyogalpa. About 5 km away (Balguë), there is a small store with lots of things, Pan de Mama, and small restaurants. It's also a nice walk to get to these places. Playa Mangos is nearby, and there are also some good little restaurants in Mérida. Wilber is very responsive, helpful, friendly, and always willing to help. The gardens are beautiful and very well maintained. A dream stay in a dream location. Thank you both for everything. Martin, our taxi driver, is a friend of Wilber’s in San Jorge and is just as nice.

What an amazing experience and stay at Isla Bonita! The location offers some of the most amazing views we saw throughout our time on the island. Combined with the beautiful lush landscape including huge mature mango trees, peace, privacy, and thoughtful design, we would come back in an instant. Wilbur and Lesbia were incredibly hospital and communicated proactively to ensure we were all set with everything we needed. We appreciated them for helping us arrange transport from the ferry, having an ATV delivered, and for their thoughtful recommendations. We loved our stay ! The casita was just as described and more! Beautiful lake out front with valcono view! Water was warm for swimming, beautiful spot to watch sunset! Outdoor kitchen had everything you needed for light cooking. Shower had hot water. The fan in the room was powerful and cooled us off at night. Wilber was an excellent host, always responsive and willing to help. He arranged our taxi to/ from the ferry, as well as our Atv rental and taxi from san Jorge to san Juan del sure after our departure. Highly recommend staying here for relaxing vibes and a great place to explore the island from. Also do the kayak tour! Great couple hours in nature scouting for wildlife!

absolutely magical! gorgeous beach and well manicured property. the room is perfect for 1 or two guests and the deck is great to hang out on and drink coffee, or do you spanish review 😀 I did bring mosquito repellent, and did see a few but I didn't need to apply it. never saw any in the room. the screened windows work perfect. it was a hot weekend for February, but the room, and the grounds felt very nice with tonnes of shaded areas to sit. mango beach is a 30 minute walk, and playa Peru is maybe 10 min walk. try both as they are very different, I loved Peru id definitely stay again

It's the peace that I was able to have during the days of my stay, the view of the lake, its silence, going out to the patio and having the landscape of the volcano in front with an incredible view. I enjoyed my vacation in Ometepe so much that I would go back. I recommend them, very good communication with Don Wilbert 💯

We had a great stay in the SoLunaLakeHouse! Wilber and Lesbia were really helpful with local recommendations. The House was nice and as described in the listing. Just keep in mind it is a rural outdoorsy place, beatifully located at the lake with stunning sunsets.

Great place, with a spectacular view. Recommend having transportation as there is not much within walking distance, which adds to the peacefulness. Locals all know the owner, so they will treat you well knowing who you are staying with.

Great Host, very helpful. Beautiful rustic cabin by the lake. With the exception of the roosters at 5 o’clock in the morning, it’s a very quiet and picturesque location.

We stayed 5 nights in Ometepe and appreciated staying at Lesbia and Wilbert's place. They have supported us in many organizational matters and the environment with them is wonderful. The sunset and views of the volcano 10/10!

It's a very quiet place With a fantastic garden, and lots of birds in front of the lake We absolutely needed a means of transport and Lesbia ordered us a 4-wheel drive the next morning. She also organized our return to Grenada. It's the favorite of our trip.

What a fantastic place and super welcoming. The cottage was perfect for us and the surrounding garden is beautiful with many plants, flowers and herbs . Surrounded by bananas, coconuts, butterflies, many birds, chickens, squirrels, dogs and cats, we felt completely at home. The area is beautiful and the cottage is directly on the lake overlooking the volcano where we were treated to the sunset every day. Wilber and Lesbia are fantastic hosts where we felt right at home. There are kayaks available to explore various beautiful places nearby over the water. The location is very convenient with several beautiful beaches, good restaurants a few minutes away by scooter. The place is very spacious and offers a lot of privacy. We would love to come back here and can highly recommend this place.
