Staying in this house is a wonderful experience. The house is impeccable, with a very original design and an exotic, diverse and very well-kept garden. The service from all the staff is amazing, and they really make you feel on vacation by helping you with everything. Alma cooks delicious food and she and the rest of the team made our stay a dream. Communication with Ricardo was excellent, and he was always very attentive to answering any questions we had. We'll definitely be back to this wonderful place.

We had an incredible vacation with my family at the end of the year, Casa Raíz is a spectacular place, surrounded by nature and very quiet. Ricardo was an amazing host, always super attentive before and during our stay. We had a nice time, the staff is amazing, Alma and Montse cook delicious, they are super nice people, always very helpful and attentive. Casa Raíz is a very special stay, with careful details and is a house with spaces to enjoy as a family but with the necessary space to also have privacy. We loved Ricardo's Airbnb, all the staff were very friendly and helped us with everything, the pool was very well temperature-controlled, there are many mosquitoes and even though the rooms have a canopy it still doesn't prevent them from biting you, but nothing that a good repellent can't solve. Ricardo's service was very good and he gave us recommendations for restaurants and places to visit. It is 10 minutes from downtown Malinalco and there are no difficulties getting there.

One of the best stays I've stayed and with the best attention

For me , Casa Roíz is a place for : 1.- Rest and fill you with energy, the house has a very special essence and vibe, the views that nature offers, the coexistence with the diversity of flora is interesting and unique, it is possible to appreciate that the root house was built for the family. 2.- I consider it also to be able to work for seasons remotely, being close to Mexico City and communication channels makes it very attractive for that purpose. Ricardo our host was very friendly and accurate in all his directions to achieve a great stay; the team of 4 people with which Casa Raiz has is unique and complemented in a very effective and tidy way to meet our needs. Thank you Alma and Luis and the whole team for all their attention. The four of them complement each other in a very precise way. Outstanding service!

Casa Raíz is a place of peace and rest just 1:40 hours from Mexico City. The Casa Raíz team is excellent. Alma is an excellent cook. We spent some very relaxing and peaceful days enjoying this magnificent property.

I have been to several AirBnBs around the world but none compared to Casa Raiz. The place was stunning and grounds huge. (We particularly loved the over 250+ different plants onsite). Ricardo was wonderful, always responding promptly, providing recommendations and even supplying a full size Christmas tree, lights and decorations for my kids. Angel, Alma and Luis were world class, providing restaurant worthy meals and service. While we explored quite a bit of Mexico during our 12-day stay, Casa Raiz and the team are really what made this a vacation of a lifetime. We have high hopes of returning to beautiful Casa Raiz and seeing these wonderful people again.

Wow. What an incredible weekend at Casa Riaz! Ricardo was incredibly responsive and helpful from the moment I made the reservation. The location and house itself are stunning, and the service team were the sweetest and most helpful. I would definitely stay here again if Ricardo would have us back! The house is absolutely beautiful, every detail of furniture, decoration, light has been thought out with the greatest care. The garden is also impressive. Ricardo is very responsive and gives good advice. The house rules are precise and he wants to enforce them, which is understandable. However, only one regret: not being able to extend our stay a little longer on Sunday afternoon, as the place is so nice!

As soon as our group arrived, we knew we found paradise. Casa Raiz is an absolute gem - we have never felt so relaxed and so well taken care of. Angel, Luis & Alma absolutely made our stay. They were polite, friendly, discreet and helpful. Beds are comfortable and luxurious, showers are hot with great pressure, rooms & outdoor spaces are stunning. Because the rooms are separate from the kitchen/living area, it's easy for a group to stay because early risers can make coffee and get breakfast without disturbing anyone. Ricardo shared some of his preferred vendors for on-site massages and prepared meals - we could not have asked for better people to work with (he provides the contact so we as guests could make our plans independently with these vendors). The pool is magnificent and Angel & Luis were wonderful about keeping it warm for us at night so we could take a midnight dip. They even coordinated setting up the firepit for us. Overall, a wonderful experience! Unparalleled!

WOW! Casa Raiz is simply stunning. While the photos are accurate, arriving in person and walking around the property left us in awe. The thoughtfulness and intentionality that went into each space was much appreciated. The views of the surrounding mountains and watching the sun cast different light on them was a favorite way to spend time, as was the heated pool which was perfect. Ricardo was a gem to communicate with, offering quick replies and wonderful recommendations. And the staff who live on the property couldn't have been more helpful and friendly -- their efforts really help make Casa Raiz extra special.

I have stayed in many Airbnbs and this has certainly been one of the best. The house itself is simple but with many architectural and decorative design details designed to create a very relaxing atmosphere. The staff is very attentive and friendly, with a great attitude and willingness to make the vacation very pleasant. The property's land is very large with a very large and beautiful garden. The staff was very kind in preparing a campfire for us one night to see the stars. The pool has a nice view of the garden and the water is heated so the children could enjoy it a lot. There is also a barbecue so you can prepare a barbecue while you are in the pool. The owner is also very friendly and has a great helpful attitude. At all times she was in communication to help us and give us recommendations for what to do in Malinalco. Would definitely go back!

We were in the house with three families and over the weekend and enjoyed the days very much. The house and the entire complex are beautiful and the staff have supported us excellently. The ambiance is great and there is plenty for the kids to explore. The pool is heated and in the evening you can make a campfire. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully furnished - The pavilion and the living and dining room impress with many details. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful house, immersed in nature. Full of details that provide a welcoming and warm experience. They take great care not to damage the flora and fauna of the property, so if you have a hard time living with certain insects, it is a challenge to get used to. The staff provides spectacular service and eats delicious. The pool is beautiful and spacious and the bathroom amenities are delicious. Highly recommended!

Amazing stay!! To begin with the service was flawless. Angel and the crew belong in a five star resort. The home was beautiful, every corner and and edge portrays attention to detail and sophistication while also being cozy and inviting at the same time.

Fantastic place for a great and relaxing holiday. We booked the property for a long weekend, coming out of Mexico City, and had such a great time that we are already hoping to go back! Communications with Ricardo were great and he was always super responsive. Check in was simple and straight forward, but the best things to highlight are the property itself and the service/support provided by the staff. The place is just beautiful - each room is perfectly set-up, with its own unique details that make you feel really pampered (we stayed at the main room and really enjoyed the bathroom and the spacious room). There are also so many different parts of the property to just relax (we loved the many hammocks and the palapa) The property is icredibly well kept and everything was spotless. The gardens are aslo beautiful and best of all, the pool was properly heated throughought our stay.. we even went in early in the monrning and it was hot.. the staff were always happy to help and support and made our stay really comfortable - and we also followed Ricardo's recommendations for getting food at the home which was great. One final positive - i had to do a video call for work from the house and in the palapa area the internet worked perfectly and i could do my call without any interruption. Would certainly recommend the place and looking forward to going back again.

The place is magical, it is more beautiful than you can see in photographs. If you are looking for a place to live experiences in every detail, the root house is ideal. Local architecture, good taste, landscape architecture, climate, culture, fun or tranquility; and excellent service. We did not save ourselves from the pickets of arachnidos (they had something tense during the nights); it is a place where animal life is respected to the fullest. The place is bigger than you can imagine and it's worth everything you invest for this trip. Ricardo is the host we all want to have. Thank you for everything.

Ricardo's house is really nice for nature lovers~ after you enter the gate, you will park your car first, then you will cross a small lanes then you will enter Heaven! the house is build by nature, so on the top you will find a really big living room and a really big kitchen. outside you will find a really nice awning you could have a full view of the whole house. if you follow the stairs you will go down a little bit and there you will find two bedrooms and pool are, and a really big lawn. we spend the first night with BBQ around the pool area, second night we spend in the awning. and we spend the day time lay in the hammock, sofa...watch the beautiful mountain. the second day we drive to center and take a walk it's only 10 mins drive, and in the center you could buy all the fresh vegi and furit. anyway, the house is really nice! you will like it! for sure we will come back again!

Excellent house to travel as a group or family, the spaces and gardens are spectacular.

The house's location is ideal. You can walk to the village of Jalmolonga (we were there in December and enjoyed its festivals and traditions) and you are ten minutes from Malinalco. The design of the house and gardens are spectacular. The rooms are very comfortable. It has many spaces to "be" and each one with a different landscape surrounded by nature. The weather in Malinalco allowed us to be on the terraces all the time. We took our mountain bikes and when you leave the house, you have 5k of trail that connects to the Malinalco road and the landscapes are incredible. The support of Manolo and the people who work in the house is unbeatable. It's a house that you learn to enjoy as the days go by. Seven days were not enough, we didn't want to go back. Thank you very much for your attention, Ricardo.

Ricardo’s place is a lovely way to experience nature just outside of one of Mexico’s magic towns. The views are incredible, and the landscaping is a work of art - amazing trees, many we had never seen before. The service staff is there to ensure you have a wonderful stay and help you with whatever you need. We appreciated the high quality bedding, including lovely sheets and duvets. The pool is the best we have experienced in an AirBNB ever - the children did not ever want to leave. We look forward to returning. Two tips for those considering the place - (1) the landscape is terraced with beautiful views, which does mean some stairs, (2) given the natural environment and location / climate, it may be a good idea to bring mosquito repellant. The palapa, the hammocks, the treehouse, the pond, everything was perfect. Anywhere you can breathe an atmosphere of peace and quiet. Ricardo was in constant communication before and upon our arrival, gave us a lot of useful information and welcomed us with a lot of hospitality. During the stay, Manolo was attentive to our needs and his wife prepared a delicious breakfast for us. My family and I had a really nice day. It is an amazing house to enjoy as a family or with friends. Very independent rooms with their own bathrooms, as if it were a private boutique mini hotel. The room has large windows that allow a privileged view and a lot of luminosity. The kitchen is fully-equipped. You can enjoy breakfast in its palapa surrounded by vegetation. Ricardo was attentive at all times, he gave us many recommendations from the village, he answered all the messages very quickly and flexible with our arrival and departure time.
