great place .. close to the beach .. pool area was very nice and the ac was great cause it gets very hot there lol overall great place... no complaints would book again

This home was a great stay for our group of 4. It was out of the way of the main strip, so it wasn’t loud, but still very walkable. The home was clean, outdoor area was great for hanging out, and the kitchen was full of all necessary items. I would definitely book again!

We had a wonderful stay! Janina was very helpful, very friendly and very accommodating. The place was perfect for us and we will definitely try to come back! Was so close to all the restaurants and the beach. We didn’t even need to have our car rental! We will know better for next time! Thank you so much!

The house is in a good location. Walkable distance but just out of the night lift so it’s quiet. House was good and clean but the outdoor space sold us on this house. The pool and outdoor kitchen/eating area was amazing. We basically only slept inside and the rest was either spent by the pool or at the ocean. Janina was responsive and gave us a couple recommendations for close by beaches… one which was stunning and the best we had seen the whole trip.

We had a lovely stay, 4 nights during the rainy season. Fortunately, the house is comfortable, you feel at home. It is not next to the beach but it allows you to walk and discover the atmosphere of Tamarindo.

We felt very comfortable with Janina from the beginning. She provided us with numerous tips for the area, we were warmly welcomed. It was like a cozy home with her. We loved the games and the pool. The grill was also great. We'd come back any time.

Janina’s place was absolutely amazing. Her and her team were incredibly attentive the whole time as we have someone waiting for us when we arrive to give us a tour of the house. We never felt alone. The house is well equipped with everything you could think of or need on your stay. You could tell the love and care that was poured into the house. An amazing place to stay whether you’re coming with a group of friends or family.

For the price of the rent, the house lacks things, for example, it only has 1 1/2 bathrooms, the gate has to be opened and closed manually and the entrance lacks maintenance. The stones at the back of the house are uncomfortable for a pool area as it hurts to walk barefoot on them. Using the grill at night is uncomfortable because there is no light and the ones that are there only illuminate the table. The garden area is ugly, they don't maintain the plants or the lawn. There is no space to hang wet clothes and the dryer cannot be used. Some days the shower drain wouldn't go down so people couldn't bathe often because the water would overflow. It lacks water tanks, as we had very long water outages (+12 hours). There is a water dispenser but they do not provide the container to refill it, even though they have one, so you have to buy another one just for the days you are there.

Hola Steven, It is very sad that you didn't tell me any of your dislikes until your review. The bathroom situation is clearly shown on the pictures and not advertised any different, I'm sorry you had trouble with the drain, if you had let me know I could have sent someone over to check it, but this is the first time ever I'm hearing this. The gate needs to be opened manually, also not advertised any different. The stone area around the pool has tiles as a walkway to avoid having to walk through it barefoot, but also this is clearly shown on the pictures. The light for the bbq has in a really long time never been an issue, but I'll try to think of how I could improve that. The garden/outside area is maintained frequently (a couple times a month) and to say it looks ugly is honestly not very nice. It looks exactly like in the pictures and you as a local should know that in rainy season it's more difficult to keep it perfect as this is the time in which the plants grow every single day. There is also a drying rack for wet clothes placed inside the house for the guests to use, I don’t know why you didn’t use it. A shortage of water is unfortunately a common problem in Tamarindo, I‘m sorry it effected you. But again, you didn’t even tell me, just when I offered you a flexible check-out you mentioned it and it was too late for me to react or help out in any way. Yes, the water dispenser needs to be restocked by you, which is easily explained as I never know how much time there is between reservations so bacteria could get in the water. If you consider buying your own water as a minus, even though I placed water for all of you in the fridge for check-in, than maybe you should have booked an All-inclusive hotel. However, I‘m sorry you weren’t happy with your stay, but please don’t forget this is my home, I always try my best to make it as perfect as possible, but it still isn’t a hotel nor one of the Airbnb‘s that are only build for a rental purpose and therefore flawless. Thank you for your criticism, I‘ll do my best to improve as much as I can.
