The place is very nice, it has everything. The bathrooms are very nice. There are supermarkets, restaurants, and beaches nearby. The host provided us with places to watch the sunset, and it was amazing. Overall, the host was very friendly and helpful A very nice place full of nature and good vibes

Good spot overall. The place was clean and spacious. The outdoor porch and pool areas were great. There was a minor sewage odour that we notified the host of. The main living area (kitchen & lounge) did not have air conditioning (only a ceiling fan), however the bedrooms were equipped with individual units and fans.

The place is very nice. The house has everything you need when you don't want to eat out. It's a good place to come back to in the future!

Lovely place with a great pool and a nice private terrace

We had a great time with the family. The place is peaceful, with a beautiful tropical garden. Having two full bathrooms was greatly appreciated. The private pool was a big plus for the kids, and the outdoor shower was very pleasant, especially when returning from the beach. Everything is close by, including the beach and restaurants. We highly recommend Benoit's house for a stay in Playa Grande.

Overall, our stay at Benito's place was a good experience. The house was clean, and both bedrooms had strong AC. The outdoor area is a major highlight: the wooden deck is highly relaxing, and the pool is just steps away. Inside, the living room is spacious with a Chromecast TV. The kitchen covers the basics, though only one stove burner worked. For privacy, adding a bathroom door would be a great upgrade. Benito was away traveling back from San Jose on our last day, but he made sure to get back to us as soon as he returned to the property. Playa Grande is very quiet with no nightlife, live music, or evening activities, offering just surfing and a handful of restaurants. Wildlife is abundant; we saw many iguanas, squirrels, and birds, especially in the morning.

This accomodation is a great value for the money. Clean, calm, everything you need is there. Ben was a great host, and Alex kindly showed me the shortcut to the beach.

Casa Árbol was a wonderful stay here in Playa Grande that offered incredible hospitality from Benoit, Alex, and especially Tubita (cat). The easy access to the pool and a short drive to the beach allowed us to have flexibility to explore the quaint town for our 3 night stay. We loved being able to grill and build community with our neighbors at Casa Vida which is situated close by, but still incredibly private. The host, Ben, offered us a tour to the walking trail to the beach, which we ended up declining, but was a very kind gesture to help us feel right at home. Free self-serve laundry with a dryer helped us get refreshed during the last half our week stay in Costa Rica. For cat people, I cannot recommend this place enough. Tubita, the queen of hospitality, made our stay feel just like home as she welcomed herself in on our first night and kept us company for the evenings. We hope to be back soon and are so grateful for the experience. Pura Vida!

Casa Arbol is a wonderful place to relax on the expansive patio and take in the beautiful surroundings while hearing the ocean waves in the distance. The neighborhood is quiet, with the only sounds coming from nature. An inquisitive gray fox appeared at the door briefly. As dog and cat lovers, we also temporarily adopted the resident cat who was the perfect host.

We really enjoyed the place. Very nice. An important aspect to consider is that although the bathrooms (toilet and shower) are inside the rooms, they do not have doors...

Benoit is very grateful to the host. The house is located in a very quiet area surrounded by nature. We had a wonderful few nights and were very happy. The pool and bbq at the house provide another experience. There are incredible sunsets on Grande beach and other nearby beaches. I highly recommend it.

Amazing stay. Really nice place — I would definitely book here again. It was super clean and looked exactly like the pictures, plus there was an added TV which was a great surprise. The pool was always clean and felt like having my our own private little escape though it is shared. Perfect spot for a relaxing getaway.

The place was private, quiet and surrounded by nature. A perfect place for two couples or a couple with kids.

The place is super cute. Peaceful, private and super quiet – it's ideal for those who want to rest and disconnect from the city. The Airbnb was spotless, clean and tidy. There are few places to eat. I recommend Kike's place and Hotel Las Tortugas Guanacaste. It's on the seashore and has a very nice view. The pool is definitely a plus. It was super clean and doesn't contain chlorine, which allows those of us who are allergic or have sensitive skin to enjoy it. I highly recommend this Airbnb, mainly for the tranquility, safety, and above all, the cleanliness. Additionally, Ben was a very friendly and helpful person. 5 stars for Ben ✨

Beautiful house, very clean, and the pool is fantastic. If I really have to find a flaw, the water in the shower was not very hot, but otherwise everything was okay!

We really enjoyed staying at Benoît’s place, on the right, very peaceful, and in a wonderful setting, and what more could you ask for with the pool? Benoit answered all our questions about things to see in the area, and even suggested some for us. He himself offers some experiences for visitors, and we took advantage of an afternoon sailboat tour with a sunset at sea. Thanks

Ben’s place is a magical retreat—a quick drive (or longer walk) to several beach options, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Importantly on hot days, the pool is shaded by trees so you can dive in and cool off immediately! Playa Grande is a small, surfer friendly beach town with a warm heart. When I got a flat tire the chefs from the food truck at the the beach club rushed over the help. Then Ben took the tire to get it fixed! He goes above and beyond as a host, and is a kind-hearted and helpful person who wants you to have your best vacation. I highly recommend a visit to Playa Grande, and staying at Casa Vida in particular!

Ben was an excellent host! From start to finish, his communication was consistent, attentive, and incredibly quick. The house itself was wonderful, but the private pool and the nearby beach—which was beautiful and pleasantly quiet—really made the stay special. Ben also went above and beyond by providing a variety of great recommendations for local activities. We especially appreciated his help when we arrived late at night to find a local road closure; we called him, and he immediately guided us through an alternative route to the house. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Great place to stay for a small family in the Playa Grande area!

Playa Grande was great! Stunning sunsets with surfers 🏄‍♂️ on the beach! We stayed there with our 5-month-old baby, and the place was perfect! 😍

We had a wonderful stay overall. The location is truly fantastic—close to several great restaurants and just a short walk to the beach, especially if you take the convenient shortcut nearby. Ben was incredibly responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything smooth and stress-free. A special highlight for our family was the property cat, Tubita, who quickly became one of our daughter’s favorite parts of the trip. That said, the house itself felt a little tired and could use some updating. It didn’t take away from the experience, but it’s worth noting for future guests. Still, the amazing location and attentive support made this a memorable stay! Thank you Ben & Alex (and Tubita!)

Our family of 4 had the best stay at Benoit's BnB over our March break! I loved waking up to the sounds of the howling monkeys - it was so surreal! Benoit happily allowed us to check-in early and use the pool: this was a great suggestion after a hot travel day! The accommodation was so private and clean, it was truly relaxing. Our private garden was a real little haven with amazing Costa Rican bush and a hamac to relax in. We all enjoyed the pool and its setting :) I highly recommend Benoit's BnB and I wouldn't hesitate to come back again!! Pura Vida!

Had a great stay here in Playa Grande. Such a nice secluded spot that felt like we had our own private space and were right at home. The beach is stunning and if you have a vehicle there are countless activities a short drive away. A great spot in a quiet area to set up “home base”.

Boho charm in a beautiful setting. Gorgeous grounds and views. Peaceful yet near all the restaurants and close to the beaches. Benoit is super responsive and so simple to communicate with and has an easy going charm. The are some things that could be repaired, a few missing handles and the hammock strings were dodgy but really didn't spoil our visit or detract from the space. The air conditioning in the bedrooms was welcome and we enjoyed the shared pool. The sunsets and views and deck area are divine. We'd recommend and would use again. A handbook with info about laundry location and how to use shutters etc would make some things 5 star but again, it didn't spoil our stay at all.

Unbeatable value for money. The upstairs bedroom with the view is beautiful. Kitchen is super well equipped. The outdoor shower, hidden by trees, is sensational. The whole family really loved it. We had such a wonderful stay here and would highly recommend it. Ben was an excellent host — very friendly, welcoming and great with communication, always happy to help with anything we needed. The location is perfect, just a short walk or drive to the beach with some fantastic restaurants nearby. The house itself was spotless, very comfortable and well equipped. The kitchen had everything we needed, including useful extras like spices, coffee and sugar which was a lovely touch. We also loved Tubs the cat, who was so friendly and would often come and relax with us in the evenings. The pool tucked away in the jungle was one of our favourite parts - such a peaceful place to relax, swim and watch the wildlife around us. Ben also took us on a boat trip which we would highly recommend. We went snorkelling, visited a beautiful beach and finished the trip watching the sunset from the boat — it was an unforgettable experience. Thank you Ben! We will be back when we’re next in Costa Rica🌴🥰

You will not regret staying at Benoit's place. This house was just what we needed and more! It has sunset and ocean views! A private garden and a big pool to hang out in the heat of the day. The house is very comfy, the location is by the beach, close to restaurants and cafes. It's just perfect! We hope to be back again soon! Thank you so much for your kindness and hospitality, Ben!

Benoît was extremely welcoming and helpful, he was very flexible with check in and check out and was helpful in guiding us to the beach and with local recommendations. The place was perfect for our family of 4, close to the beach and a beautiful secluded property. Even with another house and Benoit’s personal house sharing the property, there are so many trees (and gorgeous landscaping) that felt really private. The deck area and pool were great areas to relax as well. We really enjoyed our stay!

We had a beautiful time here. We stopped for two nights with friends on our way to Nosara. We rented all three of Ben’s properties so it was a very private experience. The whole property is beautiful. Each house has its own privacy but since we were all together as a group it was nice to be able to easily wander from one house to the other. The shared pool was also a great highlight. The two single floor homes seem to be newer or recently upgraded compared to the two story home where we stayed but for the price, location, privacy and gorgeous environment, it was worth every penny. Thanks Ben!

We are very satisfied with our stay. The house had not yet been cleaned when we arrived, but this was quickly resolved and the contact person responded quickly. It's lovely and quiet and you have the feeling you are very private. You are near the beach and have a supermarket a little 10 min drive away.

Excellent location. Although it is normal in the area and from the main street the distance to the accommodation is short, consider being careful if you travel in a low car. The accommodation is very comfortable, perfect for relaxing in an area surrounded by nature. The distance to the beach is very relative if you go by car, it is very fast. In my case I would not call it a "walkable" distance but it is not so far that it is a problem! Overall, I would be very happy to come back as many times as necessary.

Beautiful house and property. If anything, we felt it looked much nicer than the pictures. Had everything we needed for cooking, the shared pool was spotless, and the landscaping was gorgeous. Special shout-out to the resident cat, who was incredibly friendly and clearly takes their hosting duties very seriously.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Very nice accommodation and ideal for disconnecting 😊 Benoit was very responsive. On the other hand, plan to have a high car (SUV) because the roads are difficult to access.

Excellent place to stay, it is close to the best surf spots in Las Baulas Marine Park. Also, the house is large, has a swimming pool and a private patio which is perfect for family trips. We would definitely come back to this place.

Benoits place is amazing to relax and unwind. We had two dogs with us who loved it there as well. The outside shower with hot water is really inviting after a long day on the beach. The set up of the house feels more like a private home, there are personal items here and there which make it feel super homey. It’s close to town and and the beach and we had an amazing time there. Benoit was always really responsive when we didn’t find the location right away he called us immediately do guide us and always answered the messages. We will be back!

Beautiful place! Very close to the beach in a very nice area and you felt comfortable and safe! A high car is recommended because the street is being improved but that is the responsibility of a third party.

We stayed with Ben for three nights and would have liked to extend because it was so nice! The place is better than it looks in the photos and is really close to the beach. Playa Grande is a cozy surfer village and there are lots of dream beaches nearby. Ben was super nice and gave good tips for activities. He also has a sailboat and we went out with him one afternoon. Absolute recommendation!

I had some questions about comments I read here about insects and so on. But hey, that's what characterizes Costa Rica. Anyway, I didn't find a single ant in the house. The outside is beautiful, where we could hear the monkeys, see raccoons, butterflies, it is a delight to see that mini forest with a pool that in addition to being surrounded by trees was super clean. Ben's service was a 20 out of 10, he was always available when we had any questions, the house is just as it appears in the photos. The sunsets of Playa Grande are out of this world with those pink and orange tones, you fall in love. Many nearby and super nice beaches can be easily visited by car. Anyway, as I mentioned to Ben, we'll be back soon.

An amazing place, clean, surrounded by nature, very private and safe. We managed to see animals such as coatis, raccoons, skunks and many more. The house is very clean, super well equipped.
