The Montezuma Beach House was exactly what you want in Costa Rica. There grounds were covered in such beautiful landscaping. There were inviting paths leading to the beach and the turtle hatching area. The pool was just perfect for our family. Enjoying meals at the outdoor dining area was our favorite. The kitchen is fully stocked with all you need for cooking meals. Our outdoor time always included the background sound of ocean waves. We loved the rustic feel with modern conveniences. This house was so perfect for our family to spend time together relaxing.

The property was absolutely amazing—no exaggeration. It was beautiful, exactly as described, and just as shown in the photos. It provided the perfect relaxing respite to end our journey in Costa Rica. Karen’s communication was exemplary. Before we arrived, she provided very clear directions to the property along with many helpful suggestions for nearby activities and restaurants, complete with contact information. She also responded quickly to our questions throughout the week. The onsite staff were always friendly and helpful. We especially appreciated having access to a washer and dryer, which allowed us to pack light. The property was very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was extremely well stocked with everything we could possibly need. Thank you, Karen, for everything!

Thank you Karen for a wonderful stay! Our two nights in the beach villa was not long enough and we are already talking about returning. The beachfront home is a gem, right across a small dirt path from a beautiful beach and a 8-10 minute walk to town. We enjoyed the pool, relaxing on the patio, the beach, exploring the cute town of Montezuma. Our beds were comfortable, the kitchen had the listed amenities, and Karen m the host, was fantastic and always quick to respond and helpful. She even helped us figure out how to get our ferry tickets A truly amazing host!

I can’t do this listing justice with just pen to paper, which is a shame! There’s something rugged and wild while simultaneously serene and cozy about this home and its surroundings. You can spend mornings watching the sunrise on the, for all intents and purposes, private beach while drinking fresh coffee bc the beach is just steps away from your porch. Wash off your feet in the outdoor pelican shower and say hi to all your new wildlife friends (agnoti’s, a cat!!!, monkeys, coati’s, squirrels, lizards, birds!) while you take a dip in the pool. After a nap in the hammock you can walk down the beach into town or over to Ylang Ylang for the best shrimp you’ve ever had, two more property cats (Minnie and Mancha) and a lovely soul named Patricia who will give you a great big bear hug after your meal. Sore muscles?? Not at Karen’s. Just call Daniella and schedule all your massage and spa needs; she comes to you at the properties white gauze draped gazebo!! Will absolutely be back!

Tropical paradise. We fell asleep to the sounds of the ocean and heard and saw howler monkeys during the day! The rooms were gorgeous and the pool area was a wonderfully relaxing for our family! Tell all your friends to stay here!

Karen is an amazing host with decades worth of knowledge about the area. She had local connections which helped us to book surf lessons, go on a waterfall hike, a private fishing and snorkeling boat, and recommended other areas to travel to for day trips. The location of the house is perfect, only steps to the beach. The house is beautiful and the grounds are amazing. It felt like we had a while resort to ourselves. Great for our family of 4. The beach had only a couple people at any one time so most of the time it felt like it was our own beach. Waves were good for boogie boarding and mostly sand which was nice. The walk to town was short and had lots of restaurants that catered to gluten allergies. The pool was clean and perfect. The outdoor BBQ area is huge. We saw monkeys, turtles, lizards and all sorts of animals. Lily the housekeeper attended to our every need and the grounds keepers were helpful too. We felt safe & would go back with a large group since there is so much space!

Montezuma Beach Villa hosted by Karen is a magical place where the beach is just past a few palm trees. We had 3 families stay here and we were all in love with this place and did not want to leave :). The beautiful landscaping, pool, amenities, local restaurants, and of course Lilly (the groundskeeper) who was attentive to our every need, made this stay a relaxing and welcoming getaway for us. Even with the doors shut and AC running, you are close enough to the ocean you can be serenaded to sleep with the waves. We are already talking about coming back and enjoying more time at this location. I would absolutely recommend this lovely place. Thanks!

Fantastic host! Communication was great and helpful. Great location! On the beach, private and tranquil setting. We love the pool and the grounds. It’s right on the trial to Playa Granda for surfing. You cant go wrong staying here. Kicking back In a hammock with a cold beverage and listening to the ocean is the perfect ending to a day of playing at the beach.

Love, love, love this beautiful piece of paradise in Costa Rica! Karen's place is wonderful, and the team members who welcome you and make sure you are comfortable are amazing! We had everything and more than what we needed here, with great welcome! Montezuma is an amazing place as well, so good for your soul.

One of the best airbnbs we've stayed in on the beach. It is very easy to get to. The directions are very accurate. The house has 4 large rooms with all necessary amenities, very comfortable beds and air conditioning. The Kitchen is perfectly equipped, very spacious and cool. It has a very large, gas BBQ grill that made things very much easier for us as we were a large family group. The best thing this house has is its location in front of the beach of montezuma. Just a few steps away walking. From the house and garden you can see all kinds of wild animals. In just 4 days I could see capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, iguanas, pericos, guacamayas, pizotes, and whales, Si! Whales! Swim in open sea off the coast of the peninsula. Definitely I would host again at Karen's house, super Recommended

Location, location, location! We fell asleep to the sound of waves crashing and the beach was steps from the home. My kids cried when we had to leave! The pool was the perfect spot to cool off and it’s an easy walk into town. Everyone was kind and friendly on the property and we felt very safe with our two little kids. We would absolutely stay here again! Thank you, Karen!
