5BR Villa in Oaxaca City

Sajit

Excellent, 1 month ago

Great location, awesome house...very quiet and green. Spacious rooms...colonial architecture, tastefully assembled art. Additionally, Lu was very helpful all along...helped us get a driver and guide, helped plan an itinerary...she went above and beyond. Minor issue: supplies are sparse -- like we missed sugar, shampoo/conditioner, pizza-cutter, pair of scissors to open packets etc. Overall -- highly recommended!!

Host Response

Thank you Sajit!

The house is very nice and they keep it impeccable, both in terms of maintenance and cleanliness. In addition to the very nice garden, the house is full of art and good books. Caro gave us very good recommendations to enjoy our days. Some of us were cold at night. They provided us with more blankets.

Host Response

Thank you, Nayelli! Yes, with the summer rains the temperature drops. How nice that you enjoyed your days in the house. I hope you come back soon :))

You have to stay at LA CASA DE LU! We had a wonderful stay at this majestic property! The location was perfect, close enough to the city for easy access, yet peaceful and beautiful. Caro made everything seamless, from facilitating taxi pickups to sharing local tips and restaurant recommendations. We were a group of 11, and everyone was comfortable throughout our stay. The resident doggies were sweet and playful, adding to the welcoming vibe. Communicating with Lu was easy. Caro was truly the highlight! An absolute delight and a gifted cook! Our group chat is still filled with compliments to the chef who cooked breakfast and dinner. She went above and beyond, offering a caring ear, cooking tips, life advice, and so much warmth. We left with full hearts (and stomachs!). Highly recommend this property and hope to return!

Host Response

Thank you Fabiola! We were so happy to host you and your group, we really hope to see you again 🙏🏽 😊 😀 ❤️

This house is beautiful, even more beautiful than in the photos, and super comfortable. Ms. Caro, who welcomes you, is fabulous, always attentive, helpful, and a knowledgeable expert on Oaxaca. Lu and her team make your stay in this house not only comfortable but an unforgettable experience. I loved it, and I would be very happy to stay here again!!

Host Response

Thank you so much! We loved hosting you, and I hope you can come back soon!

The house is so beautiful. Caro was wonderful, so helpful with everything and so kind. The property is gorgeous and the house is so well curated, it really was perfect for our family. The only thing that threw us off was we didn’t know there would be three small dogs living there. Two of them are very sweet, and we probably would’ve stayed there anyway, even if we had known, but we did have trouble with one of them several times. Overall, we loved the location and had a wonderful time. Lu was the most amazing host, she did tons of research for us and planned so many activities for us, it was really above and beyond. I’m so grateful for her help in planning our trip.

Host Response

Thank you Brooke and so sorry you had issues with one of the dogs. When we have guests they're usually not out -unless guests are OK with this. I will talk to Caro about this to avoid any future issues, thanks for letting me know!

We had a wonderful week here! This home is even more beautiful than the photos (which are already gorgeous). We walked around with our jaws open the first afternoon we got there looking at the architecture. We felt safe and welcomed immediately. Everything was clean and spotless. From early mornings on the patio with a cup of coffee and a book to evenings unwinding in the living room with all of us reliving our days, this was exactly the spot we envisioned for our trip. But better! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful home!

Host Response

Thank you Kristen ❤️ We look forward to hosting you again soon!

Loved to stay there - Caro, the housekeep, took really good care of us and cooked the best meal we had in mexico so far - make sure to ask her if she could make dinner at some time during your stay! We were only 4 people but the place could have easily fit 10. Although I've not been to a truly quiet place in Mexico so far (there were marching bands, fireworks, animals, etc. everywhere) the noise level was way better than other places we've stayed, since it's a bit out of town. I recommend renting a scooter or a car to get into town, otherwise use taxis.

Host Response

Thank you Jere! Glad you got to enjoy Caro's delicious meals 😀 Comr back soon!

Casa Lu was one of the best Airbnbs I've ever stayed in. Since we arrived, Carolina made us feel at home. The service was excellent, always friendly and attentive to everything. The house is beautiful, very clean, spacious and with all the details taken care of. You can tell they put a lot of heart into welcoming guests. I would definitely stay here again and totally recommend it.

Host Response

Thank you very much Javier! We loved having you and hope you can come back soon ♡

A beautiful house in San Felipe del Agua, with common areas to spend very good times with family. The house and rooms are very well furnished and spaced with a nice garden. For future tenants, only consider the time of transfer to the historic center, which is about 15 minutes or more with traffic.

Host Response

Thanks Javier!

As reviewers we exert a certain amount of power to influence decisions of future travelers in this Airbnb community. Sometimes we are challenged by our previous preconceived notions and experiences and expectations. Our stay at Lu’s in Oaxaca de Juarez was one of those times. We had not traveled to Mexico in many years because of what we now can describe as unfounded fears. We booked this Airbnb not knowing anything about its location other than it was in Oaxaca de Juarez. It turned out to be one of those fortunate but marvelous decisions that will leave us with a sense of awe. The home was amazing and it was truly an honor to be allowed to stay there. This Villa was in a very safe and mature community. Caro the home care taker is a wonderful lady and inspiration. We hired her to do breakfast for us and everyday it was the freshest and best meal of the day. We took tours to different locations and the experiences are unforgettable. Lu was awesome and responsive. Capuleto 🐶?

Host Response

¡Gracias Sergio! It was super nice to host you and your family, truly great guests. I'm glad your experience in Oaxaca was beyond what you had imagined and hopefully we'll see you back soon! Caro adn Capuleto say hi :)))

We loved staying at Lu's place! Cora who keeps the house was very kind, patient, generous, and friendly. She was available rapidly for any request and has an apartment on site, but certainly gave us all the privacy we needed. The place was quiet and private and plenty of room for our party. It was also nice that the 4th and 5th bedrooms were in a separate garden apartment to give some peace and quiet to those early to bed. The garden is just a lovely place to sit and the kitchen is perfect to cook in. Just two blocks away is a hotel with a Michelin guide noted restaurant and there is a nice little market that has essentials at the corner. You will have to taxi into the center (like 10 mins), but Cora was happy to call us cabs and make restaurant reservations. Would certainly stay here again!

Host Response

Thank you Zachary! We hope to see you back :)))

Casa de Lu is everything you imagine when you think of Oaxaca—spacious, beautifully designed, tastefully decorated, and impeccably clean. The home is well-stocked with everything you might need, and while it does get warm (it is Oaxaca, after all), the provided fans keep it comfortable. Lu was responsive and accommodating throughout our stay. But the true heart of Casa de Lu—and the reason I would absolutely return—is Doña Caro. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Not only did she help us with everything we needed (and I do mean everything), but her meals were delicious, authentic, and prepared with so much love—they truly made us feel at home. We were in town for a wedding and accidentally left our dresses behind at the house. Without hesitation, Doña Caro personally delivered them to us—40 minutes away—saving the day! We joked about taking her home with us (joking not joking 😂)! We loved our stay and made a new friend. Thanks Lu and Dona Caro!

Host Response

Thank you Michele! So glad you got your dresses ♡

Great house/compound for our extended family (7 adults and 1 baby) to spread out as well as come together. Lu was very responsive and helped set up van/driver for touring (Alfredo was a great driver -- knew his way around, in and out or the sites, courteous and safe). Carolina, besides being a great cook, has a great sense of humor and helped with taxis and other needs throughout the stay. Neighborhood walkable and good park/track, coffee shop and restaurant or two not too far away. Not mentioned by others but there is an abundance of art and history books to enjoy as well (mostly in Spanish, but some English). Did not turn on TV the entire week, enjoyed fantastic Mexican breakfasts and dinners and practiced Pickleball in the yard. Fantastic house and region to truly get away from it all.

Host Response

Thank you Scott! We loved hosting you & the kids :)

La Casa de Lu was a wonderful place to stay for our family. This is really like a compound in a safe and quiet residential neighborhood north of town. The place feels very safe and the house is spacious and beautiful. Caro and her son took care of us beautifully and attended all our needs. This was my daughter's 15th birthday and Caro organized a little birthday celebration for her. This was very special. Thank you for hosting us.

Host Response

Thank you Maximilien!!

La Casa de Lu far exceeded our expectations! The photos online do this gorgeous villa no justice. Everything about it is beautiful and incredibly comfortable. My friends and I only regret not staying longer. For anyone who likes to use a good kitchen that is well stocked, this one has everything you want and need, save for maybe a very sharp knife, although we made do with what was there. And if you’re picky about linens (I am), everything felt like high quality cotton rather than the cheap microfiber many airbnbs use these days. I generally have a hard time sleeping on unfamiliar beds but felt very comfortable here and got lots of good rest. We also did not experience any issues with water as many places in Mexico often do. Also, Caro is absolutely amazing! She prepared a wonderful meal for us upon our arrival and I cannot recommend booking her to do the same for you when you stay here. It is a little far from centro, but well worth it for the peace and beauty.

Host Response

Thank you Heather! We loved hosting you and your friends & hope to see you back soon :)

Wonderful stay again, thanks Lu & Caro for being gracious hosts.

Host Response

Great having you over again Alice!

My family and i (7) were looking for a place for all of us to stay and lu’s place did not disappoint. Carolina the housekeeper is absolutely fantastic and if you are staying a few days make sure you hire her to cook for you because her cooking is amazing. She also helped us with taxis every day. If you have a large group or are looking to be outside of centro then the house was perfect. We would absolutely return and stay again.

Host Response

¡Gracias Jeff! We were very happy to host you and your family! We do hope to see you back and yes to reomendaciones para su próximo viaje :))

This is a wonderful villa/compound. It is in San Felipe del Agua, which is less than 15min from Oaxaca city center. The setting is quiet (except for the occasional dog) and near a nice park. There is a small grocery/convenience store one block away. The property itself is huge with a main house and separate carriage house with two additional rooms each with their own living rooms. Indoor and outdoor common spaces are plentiful and peaceful. Lu was very responsive and helped set up transport and tours. Caro, the house keeper and chef was amazing. She is a lovely person and her meals were some of the best we had on the trip. Caro also helped us arrange taxis and other transport. This is an amazing spot that works really well for big groups. We were three couples and were able to spread out and each couple had their own space and bathroom, and there were still two unused rooms!

Host Response

Thank you Ivo for visiting us :))

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! Truly the most magical home and it was the highlight of our trip. The home looks even better in person, Lu was such a joy to communicate with and helped get us prepared. Caro the housekeeper was the absolute best! She cooked delicious meals for us, picked up our bedrooms while we were gone and even did our laundry. She ordered taxis for us & provided the driver who took us to Monte Alban. It was my husband's bday while we were there and she surprised him with a little gift! There is a corner store down the road, and a gorgeous restaurant just a 5 min walk away. There is only one TV on the property (upstairs in a living area we didn't use much), which turned out to be a great thing because we spent more time together as a family. At night we played card games, a murder mystery & had fun trying to finish the 1000 piece puzzle (only the puzzle is provided so we used our own cards & murder mystery game). We're already planning when we can go back! Thank you Lu & Caro!

Host Response

Thank you Michele! So glad you all enjoyed your time in Oaxaca and thank you for taking the time to share ideas for the house! We hope to see you back soon :))

Can’t rave enough about Lu’s house. Everything was absolutely wonderful. Many other guests mentioned the culinary skills of Carolina and they weren’t kidding. We asked her to prepare breakfast for our group of 6 for most of the days of our visit. Somehow she was able to create something new and delicious for us every time. We also asked her for a cooking class and that was a huge hit with the group. We loved the rooms, the spaciousness of the space and the beauty of the neighborhood. Will definitely be back if we get the chance.

Host Response

Thank you Trista, please do come back if you get the chance! We loved hosting you and your group :))

What a magical place and made even more magical by the presence of Caro, our housekeeper and also travel agent. Oaxaca was absolutely superb and staying up in the beautiful hills in this safe and charming home with a housekeeper in her own home on-site made it all the better. We could have easily stayed a week being looked after and relaxing in.the view of the beautiful mountains. Thank you for having our family

Caro was helpful and very responsive. She helped guide us to delicious restaurants. Lu's place was clean and beautiful. The decor and the plants on the property were very nice. The only downside was that there was loud music 2 out of the 3 nights (obviously not the fault of the host) and the water in the main bedroom was barely warm and had very little pressure. Other than that, it was a nice stay. I would recommend staying here.

Host Response

Thank you for the comments! Low water pressure is an issue across Mexico, but thanks for letting us know about the temperature -this is easily fixed by checking the heater is on. Will make sure Caro checks this for future bookings :))

This home was a hidden paradise. Our host, Lu, communicated without missing a beat. The on premises inn-keeper checked in on us, helped our nephew get a taxi, and greeted us with a smile everyday. For our last night, we paid Caro to shop and cook for us, a highlight of our stay as we were in the car for hours at a time. Exceptional home, spacious, and clean. Very comfortable for 7 people! The back house is also an amazing addition, having two bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as separate entrance! Fantastic value! Thank you Lu and Caro!

Our stay at Casa de Lu in Oaxaca was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by Carolina who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout our entire stay. The vacation home itself was a tranquil Oasis nestled in a prestigious part of Centro Oaxaca. The traditional Mexican architecture combined with modern amenities provided a perfect balance of comfort and authenticity. One of the highlights was the beautiful well maintained landscape with outdoor seating areas.Overall we highly enjoyed our stay at “The Magical House” which truly was magical, this vacation home in Oaxaca was the perfect choice for our family. We can’t wait to someday return.

We were absolutely thrilled to stay in such beautiful residence, gardens are immaculate, spacious house with enough privacy for all. Linens were changed daily, house smelled cleaned, always stacked with toiletries. I highly recommend reaching out to property manager Caro and ask for local eating spots, best tours, and taxi service. Caro gave us great advice on weather conditions and preparing for tours. I definitely will recommend this property to my friends and family when they visit Oaxaca. We'd love to be back!! Thank you, Lu and Caro! Rosa Rasburry

I was in Oaxaca for the wedding of my daughter. Since we had reservations for 3 nights right around the festivities, me and some of the guests wanted to spend a few days before in a different setting than in the hustle and bustle of downtown Oaxaca. We couldn't have picked a better place! Aside from some dogs communicating once in a while we were surrounded by serenity and the loving care of Carolina who facilitated everything for us from cooking a delicious fish dinner for us to arranging a day trip with 7 people to visit the fascinating Herve el aqua, a Mezcal distillery, Mitra and a family of weavers with the wonderful driver Alfredo. I am full of praise for "La casa di Lu"

I can’t say anything was lacking at Lu’s. Besides very communicative and very helpful with our adventures, Claro, I would say, is the GEM of this place! We requested Claro make our first meal on the day of our arrival and boy, did she! It was so yummy and so well worth it! We also had a cooking class with Claro which is a must do for anyone visiting! This was a girl’s trip with six of us and we were very, very comfortable with the space, the outside area and Claro made sure we had transportation any time we asked. No matter what time. We felt so safe and taken care of and, I think the other women would agree…Claro became just another one of us! A sister, friend, and all around great person and very knowledgeable and full of information about Oaxaca and all there is to do and see. This was just not a great space, but we felt that we had our own tour guide and a plus was the little local eatery just around the corner with fresh quesadillas, tlayudas and Café de Olla. Will return

Host Response

Thank you! we loved hosting you and your friends and would love love love to see you back! ❤️ ♥️

The pictures do not reflect the space!! So much space here and you actually get two houses. We had so much space for our small group of 6z Caro is the jewel on the crown. She is an amazing chef and makes delicious home made meals. We enjoyed her cooking just as much as her concoction of mezcalitas with her own chamoy sauce on the rim! Please let us know the recipe if she would kindly share. Would highly recommend Lu’s place for being out of the center and a little bit more peace

I was with a group of seven women, and we loved Lu’s house. The pictures are accurate and the grounds are beautiful. The housekeeper Caro is amazing. We had her cook three dinners for us that were great, and we enjoyed talking with her. She lives on site in a separate house and cleaned the house daily. She went above and beyond the last day when a piece of framed art I bought was about two inches too big for my suitcase. She helped remove it from the frame, and wrapped it in wrapping paper and Saran Wrap to make sure it did not get damaged, and then it fit flat inside my suitcase. She also was helpful in arranging taxis to take us to the airport the last day.

Our stay at Lu's house was wonderful. It is a spendid house with extraordinary hand-crafted detailing and a large and beautiful yard surrounded by a high wall for privacy. Lu was very responsive and Caro, the housekeeper, was a gem. She made our stay extremely convenient and comfortable. Because he location is a village outside the center of Oaxaca we were at first concerned about driving in. Driving might be a little daunting for some Americans at first, but you quickly get used to it and there are taxis. There are usually parking garages in close proximity to most places you are likely to visit in the center, and they are not very expensive. We were a little concerned about the lack of air conditioning, but in the end, the use of fans made the house quite comfortable. Probably our biggest complaint was the noise of dogs at night. A minor problem for sure! All in all, this house was a wonderful place to stay. We recommend it very highly

We loved this home and would definitely stay here again! We were 4 couples - 2 stayed in the main house and 2 in the second house. Each couple had their own bathroom plus there was a half bath on the first floor of the main house. It is really a lovely neighborhood - very walkable to restaurants and markets. We also walked to the city center several times. The walk into the city center is all downhill; it probably takes around an hour and is a lovely walk! We also walked back on most days - which is a lot of uphill but still a great walk. The house is very clean, spacious and comfortable. It feels very safe, including the parking space inside the house gates. Caroline was so fantastic - so warm, friendly and helpful. She cooked for us, arranged taxis, helped with our laundry and even took us to the market with her! We highly recommend Lu’s place and would definitely stay here again.

I could write a book on how incredible our stay was because of Caro and Lu. We had an incredible time and could have spent the entire time at the AirBnB and been happy! The grounds are meticulously maintained, the place is spotless, comfortable, and stunning. The greatest part was getting to meet and spend time with Caro! What a truly wonderful human and her cooking was INCREDIBLE. We had a blast and it wouldn't have been the same without her. 10/10, will be back, love this place and these people.

Our stay at Casa de Lu was everything we imagined and more. Lu was so helpful and responsive months before our trip helping us get organized and ready for our trip to Oaxaca. Upon arrival, Caro was there to help us with everything from transportation to preparing special dinners, snacks and breakfast for us. We truly felt at home and look forward to our next visit. The location itself was great. Beautiful grounds and very safe. Well worth the 15 minutes to center of town. We enjoyed spending time outside and even had a masseuse come give the group massages. Look no further if you want the best home in Oaxaca! 10000/10

The property is big. There are 3 bedrooms in the larger house and 2 bedrooms in the smaller house. The home is away from the downtown area but you can access it with taxi. It is in a private street with quiet área of cars. The problem we had was not being able to sleep at night. There are dogs constantly barking throughout the night usually after midnight till 4 am. These are dogs from nearby neighbors. BRING EAR PLUGS! The is perfect for a large party. Home has good internet and smart TV.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Lu! The property is grogeous- like your own little oasis in the middle of Oaxaca. Carolina's hospitality was unmatched. She was so kind, caring and an incredible chef. The house itself is beautiful. The only issue, as many people stated in the reviews (and is not in the control of the host) is the dogs barking throughout the night and fireworks going off here and there, so bringing ear plugs would be helpful. Lu was also very helpful in promptly answering all our questions before the stay. We highly reccomend her place for a family vacation.

How and where do I begin. This home is everything it says and much more. We traveled with 2 kids and 2 toddlers in a group of 11. This home provided everything we needed. The kids had a nice spacious space to play outside. It was very comfortable and extra clean. Now for the part that’s makes this home worth your stay, Doña Caro like I like to call her. She exceeded our expectations. Not only is she an amazing cook she does it all with love. The way she cared and made sure all our needs were met was beyond what I expected. She always made sure the kids had all they needed which we appreciated. In the week we stayed there she became family. Out of all the things in Oaxaca, we will miss her the most. She is a special person and a true gem. Oaxaca is blessed to have her. So with that said I highly recommend this home, you won’t be disappointed.

Lu's house was one of the most memorable places I've ever stayed in! My friends and I stayed 3 weeks in total and were in tears when we left. Caro is the sweetest house keeper and cooks the best food in all of Oaxaca. I highly recommend taking advantage of her! She also did our laundry better than dry cleaners I've used in NYC. Only a few things I'd like to mention for those curious about living conditions: the WiFi is very good but only ones covers the main house. The guest house could barely access the WiFi. We had 6 people simultaneously on it with no issues. The taxi ride to centro is about 100pesos now 2022. I recommend using Didi to order it is the Uber equivalent in Mexico. The beds are a bit hard, we got used to it by the end. Bring mosquito repellent there are lots of mosquitoes! My friends and I are already planning to come back again next year! You won't regret booking this place.

Lu’s house and grounds are stunning. The woodwork and the art are beautiful. Caro keeps the house and yard immaculate. She does come in daily to tidy which I wasn’t aware of and was embarrassed by my clothes strewn about on the first day. As others have mentioned there are neighborhood dogs that bark at night. For those unfamiliar with Mexico it may be bothersome, but dogs are everywhere in every neighborhood. Lu’s home is far removed from the sounds of traffic. I slept with the fan on and a rainstorm mix on Spotify and was happy with that. Lu arranged for us to have a driver for the day. He took us to Teotitlan to see the people weaving gorgeous rugs there and to the town of Thule. We also went to Hierve el Agua. I would have skipped Hierve and spent more time wandering the other two towns. Lu was responsive throughout our trip and answered all of my many, many questions! We were really in awe of this home!

Host Response

Thank you Meghan & Nancy, we hope you can come back to visit soon, and thank you for the recommendations! So happy you loved your stay :)

We had the absolute best time staying at Lu’s! It’s not too far from the city center (~10 min drive), and the house is an oasis. Caro is a total gem, and she made our stay so much better with all of her food and warm hospitality. Lu helped us book a ton of things - transportation, yoga, and massages. We would stay here again next time in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Host Response

Thank you Kevin! We hope to see you back soon :)

Lu’s place is beautiful and not enough kind words can be said about Caro! Caro is a wonderful cook, Lu is an incredibly attentive host and the area is cute to stay. We were working for the week and the WiFi was perfect. The only thing we need to mention is that there are dogs that bark at night - it’s totally out of Lu and Caro’s control - but bring ear plugs and you’ll be ok! I don’t think this is limited to their place/location in Oaxaca City... so keep that in mind anywhere you book! Ps. Did I say Caro was incredible?! She truly is! We felt safe and looked after. This place is a must stay! We can’t wait to come back.

Host Response

Thank you Nikki! We will definitely offer ear plugs to our next guests, sorry the dogs were so noisy! We hope to see you back! ^^

Excellent property, unbeatable location and Caro's attention is amazing, the best place to stay in Oaxaca as a family, wide quality and very spacious.

Our stay at Lu’s house was outstanding. The property itself is gorgeous, communication was quick and smooth. Carolina (who tends to the property day to day) was excellent at making us feel welcome, making our stay extra pleasant and, on top of that, she’s an amazing cook (I highly recommend getting her to make you some traditional meals). Highly recommended for your stay in Oaxaca!

Host Response

Gracias Julian y Joanna, we loved hosting you and wish to see you back in Oaxaca!

Our first visit to Oaxaca was made even more memorable by our very special experience here. We are a group of five adult siblings and partners. This home was spotless, spacious, beautifully appointed - grounds were private, tranquil, well maintained. Caro, the house manageress, a very warm, perceptive woman helped us in so many ways! We arranged for her to prepare breakfast daily as well as two dinners. Everything was delicious, nourishing, imaginative and beautifully prepared. We can not recommend her service enough. It set us up for the entire day and gave us a unique Oaxaca experience. We would do this all over again. Thank you Lu! You have a very special home. Caro made our stay exceptional....

Host Response

Dear Dean, it was such a treat welcoming you all to the house! We do hope to see you back again and we are very grateful and happy to hear you had such a great time! Caro and Benito wish you and your family well and a great 2020! Muchas gracias!!!

Highly recommend. We were too families staying with 4yrs olds and a 10yrs old. The house is a real architectural treat with a lot of hand made details and interesting design. There's also great art and design objects in the house and a good library. The garden is beautiful too, a very nice private retreat. If you stay I highly recommend to engage the housekeeper Caro to cook for you. She's a very talented cook not just for Mexican but also for other cusines too. Both Caro and Lu were very helpful with information about Oaxaca. I would have no hesitation to re-book. The stay was one of the best I've had on AirBnb and Oaxaca is a must if you travel to Mexico.

Host Response

Thank you Shauna! Wishing you a great 2020, do visit again!

We had a wonderful stay in Oaxaca over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were a group of 6 adults and 4 children (ages 2-6) and fit very comfortably at the property, which is even larger than expected. The buildings and the garden are absolutely gorgeous and very well maintained. Caro is an amazing cook - we especially enjoyed her mole. Oaxaca is a beautiful city and getting into town was a 15 minute drive from the property. Highly recommend!

Host Response

Thank you Melinda! I'm glad you were able to enjoy Thankgiving at our place! Please do visit again :)

A magical, dreamy mansion. Caro, the housekeeper/chef is amazing, a good cook and is very helpful with calling taxis, etc. the house comes with security guard at night. Lu is very helpful and an extremely detailed communicator that facilitated every detail of our stay. Location is only 15 min drive from downtown and is a very upscale neighborhood where all the politicians live! Be aware that there are a lot of stray dogs in the streets that we didn’t see during the day, but are very loud at night so close your windows!

Host Response

Thank you Noel! We were happy to host you all and hope you come back despite the dogs! Which, are not stray (that's why you didn't see them) but rather fierce guardians of their houses. We will be installing double windows soon, so hopefully that will help! :)

A group of 10 co-workers stayed at Lu's house for a wedding. It was beautiful and spacious, with plenty of beds and amenities for everyone. Caro, who helps to take care of the house was increadibly helpful in navigating calling taxis and getting around Oaxaca, she was also a wonderful cook and prepared breakfasts and dinners for us that were some of the most delicious food we ate on the trip. Lu was easy to communicate with and very responsive throughout the booking, planning, and stay.

Host Response

Thank you Sarah! It was lovely to host you all and we look forward to see you again in Oaxaca :)

This was hands down the most beautiful Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at! We were incredibly comfortable and felt very cared for by the staff at the villa. Even though the house is perched in a quiet hilly area, we were able to get into the center of town easily with the assistance of the caretaker. Carolina is everything! She is a wonderful cook and even offers aromatherapy massage and reiki at the house. This place is truly paradise!!

Host Response

Thank you Diana! We were very happy to host you and your friends, gald all the services provided were up to your expectations! Caro was super happy to meet you all, we hope you come back soon! :)
