Magical. Sharon and all the staff made us feel welcome and quickly accommodated or fixed any small issues that arose. The location could not be beat and our mixed family group of 11 was comfortable and had plenty of alone and shared space to enjoy within and around the house grounds. Loved all of it!! 100% pura vida!

Wow! We loved staying at Casa Mirage1. Sharon was a Great host and was very responsive and helpful before and during our stay. The house was perfect for our 15 family members who were all there to celebrate my 70th birthday. We had 8 adults and 7 kids. The beachfront locatiuon was ideal for everyone to enjoy the ocean, strolls on the beach, shady lounges to watch the sunsets and napping. The kids loved the pool as well. The location was private, not touristy, but walkable to restaurants and hang outs. The on site staff were very attentive and friendly and the grounds and house are well maintained. This may be our go to family spot.

Core memories made! Incredible! Everything you look for when you think Costa Rica. Major score finding this place. Completely decked out with everything you need from the bedrooms all being en suite, to the gas grill, to the pool, or the hammocks…..made in the shade! The AC was cold, and the beds were comfy. My crew had the time of their lives.

Wow what a wonderful vacation we had with our four girls, their husbands and a 3 and 1 year old. This place is breathtaking and we truly enjoyed our time!!! It is VERY spacious, just a few steps to the beach, walk down the beach to treat yourself to tacos, food, festivities and fun was amazing. Sunsets are magical and everyone was so extremely nice!! Our stay was wonderful! The service from the housekeeping staff was excellent as was the chef Kimberly. We did experience some ants in the bedrooms that bit some of our guests.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Olivia. The beach was absolutely perfect. We loved swimming in the waves and enjoyed taking surfing lessons just a few villas down (Mojo Surfing). Taco star for the win down the beach also, as well as the banana pancakes at the nearby hotel. The house was great for what we needed. My only complaint was that the pool was a lot smaller in person. The pool was tiny and was very warm. However the outdoor shower next to the pool helped us all too cool off. All the staff were amazing and helpful. I would love to go back!

We stayed with a party of 9 adults and it was perfect. We utilized all 5 rooms, which each had its individual key and access to the front of the house as well as the kitchen space. The rooms were cleaned daily. Communication via wahtsapp was excellent and the beach front location allowed us to swim, surf, walk the beach, walk to breakfast/lunch/dinner locations! Would 10/10 stay again!!

Villa Olivia on Playa Grande is a special place. This was our 2nd stay. We love that this home is right on the beach and provides everything you need for spending time outside. (Ample chairs, tables, pool, grill, hammocks, etc.) The location is not only beautiful, but very relaxing with not too many people. The home comfortably slept our family of 7 adults and an infant. The services that Villa Olivia provides are outstanding! The concierge team did a fantastic job of arranging excursions, surfing lessons, restaurant reservations, grocery delivery, and answering all of our questions. Their response time was within minutes, if not seconds. They were very kind and easy to work with! We had a majority of our breakfasts and dinners cooked by the Villa’s amazing chef Kimberly. Enjoying her meals, sitting at the outdoor table, looking at the ocean and spectacular sunsets is one of the things we love most about this home! I highly recommend staying at Villa Olivia!

Sharon and her team always responded in a timely manner to all my questions starting with pre booking questions and for months before our arrival. Our family ranged from 2-85 years old and the team was always able to find solutions to some of our unique challenges. Kimberly was fabulous and we highly recommend you use her services for dinner or any meals. All the transportation arrangements they made were always early and waiting for us. The location is spectacular, the home is well maintained, the house staff is friendly and available to answer any questions. Morena, the dog, was so much fun! We hope to return to see the turtles!

Our experience at Casa Mirage was beyond our dreams! Besides the incredible location and wonderful layout of the home, the staff (Elibeth, Ania, Leanna, Kenneth, Jeffrey, and Jorge) is the best!! They were very responsive to any needs that we had and/or situations that arose. They were always so willing to go above and beyond to insure our needs were met.  Also, I highly recommend hiring Kimberly, our cook. She is fabulous!! She made most of our meals and they were delicious! Kimberly and her grown children not only cooked the meals but cleaned up as well. A true vacation for moms!  Our time at Casa Mirage was magical and we cannot wait to go back!

We loved Sharon’s home. Lots of rooms. Very comfortable. AC was great. We used Kimberly for 3 dinners and were very please. The beach is the pinnacle of beaches and we walked it daily in the morning and at night. I recommend a golf cart to reach more bars and restaurants but walkable to a few. Lots of security and staff so you feel super safe. Jeffrey was really nice. Morena the dog was fun to hang out with. Walked the beach with her. She hung out with us most days! Recommend!

Our stay was absolutely amazing! We had such a lovely time. The house was perfect for our big group—with separate sleeping areas and communal kitchen/living spaces. Being right on the beach was ideal for kids and adults alike. We were planning our next stay before we left!

The property was as described in text and photos. It was a great location with great beach access. Both the outdoor and indoor spaces were spacious and comfortable. We appreciated the dining table to seat the 13 of us. We took advantage of the chefs that were available to prepare delicious meal choices and the stock the fridge option was a great service. The property was neat and clean and well cared for. We all agreed it was truly a wonderful place to share the Christmas holiday with our family. We would return !!

As soon as you walk through the sliding kitchen doors out back you are awestruck by the gorgeous landscape, beach and ocean views. The sand is so smooth it feels like flour. Literally grab your board and hit the waves. Riptides weren’t bad so it was great for the kids to ride their boogie boards. Local surf shops to rent your boards, several wonderful nearby restaurants and a few mini markets to pick up needed groceries. Host was very quick to respond on any questions or issues we had. We very much enjoyed our stay!

We had a wonderful time at Villa Olivia. The location of the house is simply amazing and the housekeepers were extemely attentive. We went during the rainy season and were very lucky with the weather.

Amazing beachfront property, very comfortable rooms, kitchen and social areas. The house is exactly how it is portrayed in the pictures. Very friendly and helpful staff 24/7, who were able and willing to attend our needs as required to make for a perfect stay.

Villa Olivia was perfect for our girls trip! It was stunning, spacious, and the views were incredible! Sharon was very responsive and helpful planning our trip. Leena, the property manager, came by to welcome us and introduce herself. We woke up the first morning with low water pressure and then no water. They were very responsive and got on top of the problem immediately and fixed quickly! We couldn’t have had a better stay or more excellent hosts!

The house was perfect. The beach was beautiful. The guys could surf right in front of the house. The waves were perfect. I could watch them surf from the kitchen, which was so fun for me. It easily fit 5 families with children. The house had beach toys for the children to play with, a high chair and pack n play. There was great coffee within walking distance at Beach Break Surf Cafe. Great restaurant near by. We did our grocery shopping mostly at Mega grocery on our way to Tamarindo. The drive to Tamarindo is about 25 minutes. We loved being outside of the town and driving in if needed. Perfect place for our family vacation.

We had a wonderful vacation at Villa Olivia. The location was ideal. Leeana was the best concierge aiding in obtaining transportation from the airport, surfing lessons, and our 2 excursions. The house is set up to really feel like a home away from home. We opted to have Kimberly prepare breakfast and dinners while we were there. I highly recommend her services. The meals were fresh and delicious. Kimberly and her team also made sure the house was well maintained and clean. We look forward to coming back again.

This location is paradise. Soft sand bottom beach with intermediate surf waves. We enjoyed the beach views tremendously. The sunsets are unparalleled. We had 3 families (all global travelers) stay in this villa and out of the 8 young children and 6 adults and 1 teen we slipped and fell on the extremely slippery floors over 16x! The afternoon rain and wet pool feet made it very difficult to walk safely around the porch, balcony, open air common spaces, stairs and even inside the rooms. I hope they can replace the extremely slippery floors before a serious accident occurs. I called the host after slipping down the stairs myself upon 10 min of check in. Thankfully I just had a knot and bruise on my arm. The host was very kind and brought more mats and rugs to help prevent the kids falling down but wasn’t a 100% solution because more falls hapened. The Pool was clean. A Personal security guard kept watch at night. I didn’t know that was needed. We Felt safe. Host was accommodating.

Best place I’ve stayed in Costa Rica.

My family had a great time at Villa Olivia. The location was perfect right on the ocean. The staff were friendly and attentive. Morena the watch dog was the highlight of our trip. We would definitely stay here again.

This house is SO amazing! It had enough space for my entire family, and we still all felt like we had our own private place to go to at the end of the day. Location could not have been better. The pictures do not even do it justice.

We’ve been going to Costa Rica for 15 years. We stayed at a lot of different places, including five star resorts. Apartments, bungalows you name it. In this house hands-down is the most memory making base camp I’ve ever had a privileged of staying at. And I’m from Hawaii. We have nothing like this. Amazing.

The location is fantastic. We were a three generation family escape and had so much fun! The pool was just right for the 6 and 9 year olds. The beach and sunsets were beautiful. Kimberly fixed us dinner twice. Make sure to have her huevos rancheros for breakfast one morning! It was our second time at Villa Olivia!

It was truly an amazing week! Sharon was responsive and kind and knowledgeable! Her home is absolutely beautiful and relaxing. The location is wonderful for enjoying the beach, surfing, close to horseback riding, fishing, zip lining…. The view and cook were lovely. I can’t say enough about how wonderful our week was.

Casa Mirage was a trip of a lifetime for our family and a lot of it has to do with the host and the staff. The place was exactly as described and more. THe host helped with everything from transportation to food. It's located in a small surf town with cute little coffee shop and a few good restaurants within walking. THe beach is walkable and super clean up to 4 miles and the water is warm and clean. The staff came around daily to clean up yard debris and clean inside. Kimberly was the chef and wow did she outdo herself. Helped us with grocery shopping and made us the best meals i've ever had! Her and her ladies were so kind and skilled. If we could go every year we would!! Thank you so much

Spring break 2025 at Casa Olivia was absolutely perfect for our family!! It was a treat to stay at an amazing house in the relaxed and friendly beach town. Walking the beach, surfing and swimming in the ocean with so many quirky, delicious small bars and restaurants was the definition of a laid back beach vacay. We elected to have breakfasts and most dinners prepared by the house manager and her team, and it was an amazing option. Delicious fresh fruit every morning, local dishes all homemade. All nine of us loved the meals. Morena - the ‘house dog’ became a member of our family taking long walks on the beach with us, and kept us company with her happy disposition. Located in the national park, the.beach was pristine, vast and so much wildlife. We even saw a giant green turtle lay her eggs. The host and staff were responsive, friendly, helpful and made our relaxing beach vacation … easy and relaxing. Thank you!!!

This is our third time staying and absolutely love the place. Clean, comfortable and Kimberly is amazing. She shopped and cooked an amazing meal for 10 of us, did our laundry and all in all was a pleasure! The security and landscaping crew were diligent and friendly. I would return but am a bit troubled by the price increase. I, sadly, may not be able to return.

It's a beautiful location and lovely house! Our family of 8 had the greatest time stepping right into the waves from the yard, hiking up to the black sand beach, watching sunsets from the hammocks and rocking chairs, eating at nearby Hotel Las Tortugas and Taco Star. We highly recommend the estuary tour with Jonathan that we met at Las Tortugas, by the way- saw crocs, howlers, all manner of birds! And we absolutely loved Kimberly and Kenneth and all the night watchmen at the house! They were all so kind and helpful! Kenneth let me take Morena, the house dog, for a sunset walk (we loved her) AND he showed us the howler monkeys nearby. Kimberly took great care of us without being intrusive at all. We had many questions and she was very patient with us. We hope to come stay with them again one day. This stay wasn't nearly long enough!

We had such a great stay! The home is beautiful! We would definitely stay there again the hostess were friendly and very attentive. There’s even a house dog who was amazing she would follow my kids to the beach and stay with them as if she was watching out for them 🥹 this was a special trip for us and staying in this home felt so comfortable and peaceful we loved it! There was 10 of us and plenty of space it didnt feel crowded everyone had their own space it was great, thanks again for sharing your home with us as we experienced Coast Rica! Pura vida!

Villa Olivia was a wonderful place for me and my family to visit. It had everything we needed and more. The staff were so attentive and the house was perfect for a large group. The proximity to the beach was amazing. The views were out of this world beautiful. My family already wants to return next year. The cook, Kimberly, was incredible and offered a delicious range of meals. And the watchdog Morena was the cherry on top. She was the cutest companion for a family full of dog lovers. Villa Olivia was so perfect it made it hard to leave and explore the surrounding beauty! If you’re looking for another house stop right here and book this place. Loved our stay! Beautiful location, wonderful house and very helpful host!

This house could not have been better! Kimberly the cook/housekeeper was friendly and the food she made was delicious. We truly enjoyed our stay. The beach access was our favorite part, & being able to rent surfboards for the week was so convenient. The set up was perfect for our group of 11, giving us all ample space to gather then go to our own section of the house to decompress at the end of the day. Transportation was no problem with the help of the house managers. We discovered a black sand beach about a mile and a half from the house too so that was really fun! This place was magical from start to finish and helped us create an experience/vacation we will never forget.

we had an amazing stay with Julie and her casa on the beach. we came for a 30th birthday party and were impressed with the cleanliness and comfortability of the house. the pool and beach side access was fabulous for day adventures. the attention to detail with the soft towels, blankets, cold filtered water, generous amounts of towels and hammocks — these touches really made the place feel relaxing and we felt at home. we truly recommend having Kim as a private chef, her food was fresh, excellently seasoned, and her and the team were polite. we felt safe and well taken care of at the property with the security, maintenance crew, and house keeping. thanks Julie for making my 30th birthday party memorable!

Rented this for some of my wedding guests to enjoy the ocean. They had a fabulous time! They loved being right on the water and enjoyed the ocean views. They also took advantage of the cook the host recommended one day as well. Highly recommend!

It’s an amazing location. Perfect for families and surfers with a pool and right on the beach. The house is located right next to a surf break. The pool is small but it’s perfect for cooling off and playing with little kids. You are only 25 mins drive to tamarindo. There is daily maintenance and always someone around to help out with any issues. We had an empanadas cooking lesson and a traditional breakfast which were highlights for us!

A beautiful, amazing, tranquil place! The beach was peaceful and often there were only a few people on it, especially early in the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful. My favorite was the dog, Morena! She was so sweet! We did the estuary boat tour and it was awesome. Going early is a good idea for the temperature and wildlife viewing. Kimberly fixed excellent meals! I highly recommend her.

What can you say about Casa Mirage, what a FABULOUS place. Certainly exceeded expectations. We split time between Playa Grande and LaFortuna. Both were fantastic areas to stay. We were three families, total of 11 and felt like we had plenty of room and never felt overcrowded. The place had everything we needed for a very relaxed time, R & R at it's finest. I like to think we were pretty low maintenance group, did not have to reach out for help much. Most of it was informational and host was exceptional at responding. We took advantage of the meal being provided and was excellent. There are very walkable places to eat that fit the bill. I was the only one in the group, that before the trip wanted to do a Tamarindo day visit, we never made it, but in reality it was not missed. Great beach for walking, surfing and boogie boards. There were a couple of cases of riptides, there were lifeguards on a little stretch of beach from the house and they came down to give us a heads up. I HIGHLY REC

Villa Olivia was the perfect site to celebrate a milestone birthday with friends and family. We were a mix of couples, families and folks travelling solo. The layout of the rooms allowed everyone to have their own spaces to retreat to, and the communal areas of the house supported dinner for the dozen of us. The kitchen was stocked on arrival - a helpful service given our arrival time at Liberia Airport and the size of our group. For nights when we wanted to spend as much time as possible out in the surf or enjoying the sunset, we also took advantage of local catering prepared at the house - the traditional Costa Rican dinner by Kimberly's team was muy rico and our widely traveled group agreed that Sushi Mafia was top notch! Leeana was really responsive to our groups needs. Kimberly, Yebri, Jeffrey, and Felix were also fantastic and made the group feel safe, comfortable and at home throughout our stay. We achieved our goal of forgetting what day of the week it was early on!

Casa Mirage is incredible! Not only the home and beach but also the people who cared for this space and our family while there exceded our expectations in everyway! The kitchen is extremely well appointed. Hot water, Air Conditioning and wifi all worked flawlessly throughout our stay. Lots of comfortable outdoor seating. Awesome and exceptionally cared for and clean outdoor grill. The beds, linens and towels were all top notch and the regular room turndown service and housekeeping was spectacular. We felt safe and comfortable in every way throughout our entire stay. The host is extraordinaroly responsive and will take care of just about anything you could imagine. The maintenance man, gardener and housekeeper all went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and the cook is excellent! Dont hesitate to book! You wont regret it.

We loved this house! It is right on the water, we swam in the ocean everyday and boogie boarded. The sunsets are magnificent and the pool and grounds are wonderful. We saw Iguana’s, birds and lots of butterflies and dragonflies. The location is safe as they have security watching over you at night and plenty of people around during the day working on the various houses they maintain. We visited the local Brewery several times, Cameron & Emma are outstanding and the food/beer is great. The Taco Star was great and the food at the Rip Jack Inn was delectable, we saw monkeys in the trees while eating breakfast one day. Kimberly cooked a few meals for us and the food was always delicious. I would definitely recommend this house and we can’t wait to return.

The location was fantastic. We literally walked from the private pool area directly onto the beach. The upstairs balconies had a beautiful view of the beach. They were rocking chairs everywhere. Our assistant while we were there, Ania, was absolutely amazing. The workers helped us fix a flat. One night we paid to have dinner cooked in the house. Kimberly did a fantastic job! All of the workers were so kind and welcoming.

The home was fabulous. The view was wonderful and the beach was private with not much traffic. The staff was amazing; extremely accommodating, discrete and polite.

This is our 4th time staying here and each time has been fantastic. The house is always well kept with improvements. The staff is friendly and helpful. I can not say enough about the location, too. We will definitely rent here again.

This house is simply amazing! One of the few you can walk straight onto the beach and jump into the surf. It was perfect for our family of 6 and you could easily have had 2 families staying with ample room for everyone. It’s close enough to Tamarindo if you want to visit and the local town has some great surf shops and cool little cafes. One of the most memorable places I have ever stayed!

Honestly, Casa Mirage is even better in person. This house exceeded all of my expectations. My family and I literally had the best vacation ever, words can’t even describe how magical this place is. The housekeeper Ania was so friendly, Leeanna and Elibeth were very communicative and always answered our questions. Kimberly made our group of 11 dinner on our last night and it was just the most amazing home cooked Costa Rican food. Our Amigo (the groundskeeper with the two dogs Nextdoor) showed our kids where the baby sea turtles were. I mean, there’s not enough words to express my gratitude to the people who take care of this property and the locals in the surrounding area. Such a beautiful country filled with beautiful people. Thank you for these memories.

Wow! The place and location are absolutely worth everything. We all felt so grateful and at peace with the absolute beauty of the home but more importantly the nature that surrounds the home. The beach is absolutely perfect. Soft sand, beautiful beaches, quiet beach, perfect view of the sunset every night. Kimberly and the staff were just perfect. So kind, great food, super helpful. Leeana! You are amazing! No way would we have had the trip we had without her support and communication. Thank you! Also, there is security at night and Lester was great. Not intrusive but made us all feel secure.

Perfect spot!

Our group had an amazing stay at Vila Olivia, we did not want to leave! The staff was kind and helpful. They kept the home clean and cooked the most delicious meals! The location was exactly what we were looking for... a nice quiet area, beautiful beach, small market/cafe/surf shop in walking distance. The surfing right outside the door was also great for all surf levels!

What an incredible location- I wish I could upload photos of just how amazing the sunsets from the decks were! We had a group of 7 (2 couples and 3 kids 10 yrs old and under), and could had at least 2 more couples join us comfortably (left 2 rooms unused completely). What I didn't expect was that there will always be a groundskeeper, maintenance person, night watchman, or co-host on site at all times. They're very friendly and helpful, communication was easy. They picked and shucked coconut for us, or brought in a rhino beetle to show the kids, etc- all things that were very special to our experience. Kimberly helped us arrange to have some groceries stocked ahead of time, and is available to cook meals for additional fee as well. Really- don't hesitate to book this home right away!

We were a group of 7 friends and had such a great time! they had some water issues with this property so they switched us to casa Mirage. they were very prompt and called us about the issue as soon as they knew about it and offered us the switch as they felt the house would not be ready in time. Mirage was just as beautiful and comfortable. we loved having the pool and direct access to the beach. all of the staff was amazing. several restaurants within walking distance, we really liked Onda. we did transportation mainly though youarecostarica but figured out that uber works just fine there, specially if you want to get to tamarindo. we hired Kim, the cook, and she was amazing. her food was so good and she was very accommodating. they also did our grocery shopping and went above and beyond to get what we requested. One thing you need to know is that she needs to be paid in cash and atm access is not easy to come by in playa grande. we had to hire transportationto get us to an atm. I talked to Leeane about this and she was very receptive and acknowledged that it's something they need to prep people for. other than that, I highly recommend this stay!! cheers!

If you want a large home with an idyllic beach front location, centrally located neary many of Costa Rica's best NW beach locations, this is the perfect place. Pre-arrival communications were fantastic and the property is well kept. All around a solid A experience! Highly recommended!

This house was great for 2 - 3 families. The beach in front is beautiful and the house itself is great for cooking for a big group. There was plenty of space. The AC is great and for the people who didn’t want it, we just turned it off and used the fan. The staff was super friendly.

My family and i very much enjoyed our time at Villa Olivia! the place was easy to get to and all communication with Leanna when we arrived was very easy! the location is truly great - nothing beats being right on the beach and having ocean views! It may have been that we were there during the week but the beach was so nice and quiet / not crowded and the beach was still very natural / not overdeveloped which is what we wanted! The house had plenty of space for our group to enjoy time together in common spaces and also chill alone in other corners of the place. The a/c in the bedrooms was much appreciated! Also loved that we had a few different spaces to eat - both indoor and outdoor which was nice. Would highly recommend Villa Olivia to other families or groups visiting Playa Grande! thank you for a great stay!

If you have the chance to book this house you should absolutely do it! The house is beautiful, right on the beach and it’s a great value because of all the additional staffing that come with the house, the housekeeping and the grounds keepers kept everything looking beautiful. We hired Kimberly to cook for us, the food was amazing!!!! The sunsets were phenomenal right from the yard. I highly recommend Casa Mirage!

Have traveled to CR multiple times and Playa Grande a handful of times. I like to surf. Now I balance surf with a wife and 2 little kids. Olivia location and view is tough to match. Back yard is incredible. 24-7 security on site. The lawn is soft, great for kids, and for barefoot lounging. Access to surf is super easy and family can even see me surf out back from the backyard. House is spacious and clean but not updated as other properties we have stayed at. We hired Kimberly, the caretaker, to cook 2 meals daily. She did a spectacular job. Overall great value and will return.

For my first ever Airbnb stay, I was truly blown away! It felt like multiple scenes out of a fantasy! I will never forget all of the memories this stay has provided me!
