We had a wonderful stay overall! The home is beautiful, spacious, and has incredible views. Norma and Jesus were both amazing and very helpful throughout our trip. There were some unexpected access challenges during our stay due to construction affecting the usual entrance route, but Spence was extremely responsive, understanding, and committed to making things right. He listened to our feedback and worked with us to address our concerns, which we greatly appreciated. The property itself was a great place for our group, and we made many wonderful memories during our stay. We would absolutely recommend this home to others and are excited to hear that accessibility improvements are already underway for future guests.

Casa de la Hoja was a great stay from start to finish, with incredible views, comfortable accommodations, and very responsive and helpful hosts. Spence was available onsite or by text and house manager Norma made our group feel right at home. Just a 5 minute drive to Zona Romantica, this was an ideal private stay that was still conveniently close to all activities.

An absolutely gorgeous home in a quiet neighborhood. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the beach, which was a huge plus. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but you get used to it after a while. Norma is kind and welcoming, and easy to contact if the house needs anything. 10/10 This home is perfect!

We had a fantastic stay! The home is beautiful, and the views are even better in person. You can tell a lot of care went into the decor, and practical touches like the many charging stations were a huge plus. It is likely the best-equipped rental we’ve ever encountered. Norma and Jesus are such kind and accommodating. Plus, being so close to the Romantic Zone, great dining, and the beach made our vacation so easy. We can’t wait to come back!

We could not have been happier with our stay at casa de la hoja. Not only was the location absolutely gorgeous but the host was responsive, all the amenities were top notch and the best part of all was being hosted by the head of household/ chef extraordinaire, Norma. Norma made us feel at home and cared for throughout our stay and cooked us an incredible meal on our last night. We would have enjoyed ourselves throughly at this location but having Norma there was what really pushed this into the category of a luxury vacation. Don’t be swayed by the sensationalism in the news, PV is safe, clean, beautiful and still very ready to host a great vacation. We will most certainly be back next year.

We truly could not have been happier with this Airbnb. It was absolutely beautiful and very easy to get to, the view was unbelievable, and the pool was truly perfect. Norma, who works at the house, was extremely helpful, kind, and warm. She cooked a delicious dinner for us and made us feel right at home the entire time. We will absolutely, 100% be staying here again next time we are in PV. Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Our stay at Spence’s Casa de Hojas was what fairytales are made of. The home is situated at the top of a hill with a great view of the ocean for whale watching. We were worried about the steps, but it was NOT an issue at all. The space is serene, the pool is great for hanging out, and Norma & Nestor are always there to help with anything you need. I highly recommend booking their home for your next trip to Puerto Vallarta, you won’t regret it!

Well, this is actually a very magical part of Puerto Vallarta that we did not know existed. It was built onto the hill, which has stairs, but they are so worth it. The home is oh so special and with the extra touches that Norma and Nestor give to take care of it, we felt like the kings and queens of the hill. I loved my separate Casita for private rest while my daughter and family slept in the main house! A wonderful group set up! We used the pool each day, walked to the beach and town and even had Norma cook on Super Bowl Sunday. She brought her sister in law Norma and it was truly a spectacular experience, so special that we had them join us for dinner. We are lucky to have discovered this special property! Thank you Spence for hosting us!

Awesome place! I highly recommend it if you want to be close to all that PV offers and also want peace and quiet. I’ve been to PV hundreds of times, and this is definitely one of the top places I’ve stayed at. Special thanks to Norma! She was amazing!

Our stay was absolutely incredible. The house itself is truly stunning — the architecture is beautiful, thoughtfully designed, and seamlessly blends indoor and outdoor living. The views of the ocean were breathtaking, and being surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant flowers made the entire property feel like a peaceful oasis. Every corner of the home felt intentional, elegant, and welcoming. Norman and Nestor were exceptional - warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. They made us feel completely at home and were always available to ensure our stay was perfect. This was a truly special experience, and we would not hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, relaxing, and unforgettable stay.

Spence’s place was amazing. The views were spectacular; we were able to see pods of whales from the balcony.

The pictures do not do this house justice. Beautiful sweeping views from every room and the terrace. Norma is an absolute gem! She keeps the house spotless and cooked an amazing dinner and breakfast for our group. She was also eager to provide local recommendations and tips. It is quite a few steps from the entrance but we got used to it. Overall an amazing stay and cannot wait to go back!

Amazing house with a stunning view and great location! Norma was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We booked massages at the house through their recommendation, and they were able to accommodate all four of us at the same time — great massages! The beach is just a short walk away, the beds were super comfortable, and overall, we had a fantastic experience. Would definitely stay again!

Spence’s home is just like the pictures and is perfect for a larger group. The staff is very kind and my friends and I truly enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend his home if you’re planning to travel to Puerto Vallarta!

This is the third year in PV and the first year we had to go outside of our established place to stay. The house and surrounding areas are absolutely gorgeous and exactly as described. Norma and Nestor were amazing and always helpful. They cooked our dinner one evening that was delicious and the presentation was amazing. We definitely used the grocery delivery service (uber) twice and had no issues. As other reviews have stated, it is a hike up to the house and would not be for everyone. Once we figured out our surroundings and with Norma’s help we would walk to zona romantica and then take a car back(highly recommend a ride back). Ubers and taxis had no problems finding the property during the entire stay. We would definitely stay again and hopefully have enough guests to use both properties that are tied together. Check out was very easy as Norma and Nestor took care of everything. There were cards and board games for rainy times ❤️

Norma was the best! Really took care of us.

Our stay was amazing !! We were in awe when we first arrived. The house is beautiful. Beautiful sunsets, pool bar , views. Everything was perfect. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms are huge. We were first greeted by Norma and Juan and they helped us all with our luggage . She then goes over everything you need to know. Norma comes and cleans/ organizes your rooms and common areas. Five star all around !

The house is magnificent, the support of the people in charge Norma and Néstor excellent, they prepared us for lunch every day and very tasty all, the real house is excellent.

What an amazing property! It was great to have the bedrooms and space needed for our group. The property looked just like the pictures. Pros -Private pool (can be heated) -Full kitchen -Beautiful, local decor -Friendly staff -Excellent host -Multiple rooms / beds. Lots of space to spread out Cons -Lots of stairs. This was not a deal breaker for our group, but may be difficult for some -Need an uber for most activities, but easy to get and a short 5-10 min drive to everything I would absolutely stay at this property again!

Had an amazing spring break at Spence’s place. Norma, the property manager, was wonderful and responsive. What a beautiful and safe place to stay. Only would recommend for groups who are okay hiking up steps, though. Was not a problem for us.

One of the best Airbnb’s I’ve stayed in. Our family was well taken care of by Norma and Nestor (house helpers). The ability to request a meal prepared at anytime with advanced notice was amazing. Spence was great with communication and assistance when needed. Will absolutely return!

The house is beautiful and has a great view, access is complicated to buy things from the supermarket since there are many steps but the house is quite worth it. There is an extra charge to have the pool heated, but the size and privacy are incomparable. We had a very nice stay!

What a fantastic Location! Minutes (Walking) from the beach, downtown, Restaurants and massages. The Kitchen is Awesome, I'm a chef and I was very pleased with the amenity's. I did leave them with a non stick pan for omelets in the morning. Norma and Nestor are Great. Met us at the gate to carry up the luggage. Norma is all about your stay and providing a care free vacation. Nestor manages the heavy lifting, maintenance and he's actually a wonderful cook! They provided beach chairs and umbrella's for our daily beach visits, which we never had at previous Airbnb's or VRBO's. We come every year to Vallarta and I truly believe this was one of the best location we've stayed at! There are a lot of stairs but our posse truly love's that.

The property is gorgeous! It exceeded my expectations. The views are incredible, staff extremely helpful, and kitchen was fully equipped for at home meals. The location offers easy access to the beach, bars, restaurants and anything you might need. The only thing I wish I had known in advance was that the pool was not heated and was shaded for much of the day so the water was a bit brisk, but that was easily solved with a quick jump in. I would highly recommend this stay.

We absolutely loved our stay here, the house was beautiful, unique, and had every single thing we could possibly need. Not only that, but the house was staffed by a lovely couple that was always available and came and checked on us each day, cleaned the house, and gave us recommendations for food and activities. At one point, our car battery died, and they went and picked us up a new car battery for us to replace it. There are a couple things to be aware of, (1) there are over 100 stairs up to the house. We loved the exercise and the beautiful entrance of it, but maybe there are accommodations at request. (2) the pool is not heated, we went in January and it was not usable. (3) A lot of the interior locks in the house do not work, and this seems like it could easily be fixed. But the house felt very secure. Above all, the VIEW from the house made our trip. We watched whales breaching from the balcony every morning with our coffee. Five stars overall

Lovely stay! We were taken care of well by Norma and Nestor, and their food was delicious! Spence was a very kind and accommodating host. Property was beautiful and would highly recommend!

This is the best Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at! The home is spacious, beautiful, and serene. There were so many thoughtful details that helped us to feel right at home. Sunset dinners on the balcony couldn’t be beat at the fanciest restaurant in town. Norma and Nestor were friendly and helped keep everything spotless (we sure did feel spoiled!) There are a lot of stairs, so it may not be ideal for people with mobility issues, but otherwise this place is amazing, and I wish we could have stayed longer! Will definitely be back next time we are in Puerto Vallarta

Everything is great and the support of the norm is very good It is only very tired going out and going up as there are many stairs to exercise in the morning is very good Very nice place and very nice view I recommend it
