We had such a great time at Playa Grande. Casa Serenity was perfect for our family of 4. Trevor was always available and responsive. The location was just a couple minutes walk to the beach and local restaurants. The kids got to see plenty of wildlife including howler monkeys, iguanas and tons of mangrove crabs. Trevor referred us to You Are Costa Rica for our surf lessons and a boating tour for snorkeling, paddle boarding, etc. We’ll be back! Pura Vida!

We had the absolute best stay at this quiet home nestled around the corner from a the beach. We enjoyed the calm coffee mornings seeing the monkeys traverse the trees… then a walk to the beach for surf lessons. Midday walk back to the shaded pool to seek shelter from the heat. And back to the beach for sunsets which were INSANE. The home was perfect and clean and fully equipped! Cannot wait to come back!

Trevor is a truly wonderful host with an incredible pair of homes that share a quad/pool. We had both the 3&5 bed unit, and property to ourselves. The location is a dream, having two of the Playa Grande beach entrances within 200 feet of the front door made our stay so easy and enjoyable. The trip was a re-plan from Hawaii floods; booked 6 days out. The host helped us nail down transport, tours and all the local links. He recommended golf carts which gave us access to the town restaurants and market. Even sent me a list of live music for each night, etc. What really set this experience apart, however, was the incredible heart Trevor and his team showed us. On our last night, which was Easter Sunday, I was unfortunately injured in an offshore fishing accident. Stitches, antibiotics, tetanus shot needed. Despite it being a major CR holiday, Trevor’s staff, Raquel, was an absolute angel, she stayed by our side to translate, organized our transportation, and ensured a doctor was on.

I highly recommend this place and its location! Walking distance to a spectacularly beautiful and safe beach, delicious restaurants with local flavors, live music, and the kindness and caretaking of both Trevor and Raquel were off the charts. The surrounding area is magnificent. If you are looking for a clean, tranquil immersion into the ocean and birdsong of Costa Rica, this is it!

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Serenity. We were a family group of 5 adults with 3 kids. The house is very nice done and and the location is great (short walk to the Beach and to several restaurants). We had not understood that the backyard was a shared area but it was not a problem. We enjoyed the outside and the yoga area was a nice plus.

We loved this house, especially its location in regards to the beach. Raquel was such a great help and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely stay again!

Perfect villa in Playa Grande. We were two families so the two separate villas worked out amazing. Having Raquel the caretaker on site was amazing, she was extremely helpful and kind. Overall an amazing stay, which I highly recommend

Everything about our trip to Trevor’s home and our time in Playa Grande was perfect! Trevor (who also has a home on the property) is an excellent host! He made sure we felt right at home, offered local recommendations and was available if we needed anything. His home is steps from the beach and also walkable to great restaurants and coffee shops. The house is super private and very secure. It had everything we needed and fit our family of 6 very comfortably. If you go, make sure to stop by Beach Break Cafe. They have the most amazing coffee and brunch items! We walked there every day!

100 % must stay. Its so close to beach so nice and full of wild life. We will be back on our next trip to costa rica. Our stay was way to short 5 days is not enough. I recommend staying no less then 7 days. Thanks Trevor it was so easy and a pleasure.

We stayed here as part of a family reunion and it was ideal for all of us. The two villas gave us plenty of space and privacy but allowed us to stay connected through the pool and common area. Location was ideal with a short walk to the beach and restaurants. Trevor was an incredible host and was extremely accommodating. We will definitely return.

The house was pristine, loved the pool area for the hot afternoons, and the walkability to the beach and a few restaurants was perfect (this house is not ON the beach). This area is not overwhelming with tourists so the beaches were quiet and spacious. Raquel was amazing and super sweet and very responsive to all of our needs during our stay. The house was spotless each time she cleaned, and the laundry was folded to perfection. There were monkeys right outside our fences and made for a great experience in the mornings! Highly recommend for a family of 6 (we had two adult couples and two older "kids," ages 18 and 25).

Trevor has a beautiful property. The walk to the beach is very easy. The village is small but has everything you need. The place was SPOTLESS. We arrived a day early and Trevor was flexible with us. It was a great vacation and we can’t wait to get back. Thanks

I wish I could give more stars! My family of six travels a lot and we all agreed, BEST VACATION EVER. Casa Serenity is even more beautiful than the pictures and it is, well, serene. An escape. Playa Grande is a find, most of it is National Forest so there are no large hotels, etc. on the beach. Only a small section of the beach has any houses along it. The town...amazing! Walk to all of your restaurants (a great variety), a mini mart and surf shops. We used You Are Costa Rica for all of our concierge coordination (transport to and from the airport, surf lessons, excursions throughout the country). We also enjoyed massage and private yoga with Dana. All of the connections were through Trevor who helped in everyway to make sure our vacation was seamless!

Casa Sun and Serenity make the perfect for a beach vacation. Excellent location, immaculately clean, and very communicative host. The houses are beautifully designed and appointed. Rachel, the caretaker, was so friendly and helpful. We felt comfortable and relaxed and loved the outdoor spaces and pool. We would absolutely rent Casa Sun and Serenity again.

We rented the two villas, everything was perfect . The inner courtyard is friendly and warm. Rachel and her husband are charming and available. The villas are literally a 3 minute walk to the beautiful beach . You'll find restaurants and more in the area. TREVOR is a great, available and enjoyable host. I undoubtedly recommend PURA VIDA

Location is great. Right next to the beach, and walking distance to restaurants and place to rent surfboards. Other places, like grocery stores and bakery, are an easy drive. Saw a lot of wildlife too - howler monkeys, pigs, etc. The place is stunning! Looks just like the pictures. House had everything needed to feel right at home, like utensils, air fryer, coffee maker, etc. Beds comfy too. AC is super cold and in each room. The pool is clean and refreshing. Lots of outside hoses to clean off the sand from the beaches. Parking is covered onsite. Raquel is the best. She came to tidy up and help with laundry. Offered to help with anything we needed. Fantastic stay. Had zero worries about anything and it was appreciated the host, Trevor, and Raquel were always making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you!

The place is just just amazing. A few steps from the beach is home offers much more than one could ask. We were a large group, and the property was perfect for everyone. Comfortable and spacious rooms, impeccable bathrooms, the kitchens are full equipped and the space is huge. The social area is very large and the pool is perfect for all ages, gym for stretches and workouts. The 🍗 perfect bbq area! In addition to this incredible paradise, Raquel and her family made us feel better than at home. His attention to every detail was impeccable.. It will cost us a lot to forget about this little big paradise, the daily hikes to the beach and the peace and nature that is both inside and outside the property. Super central to everywhere. We'll be back soon! Thank you so much for helping us have an incredible vacation.

We had 3 adults and 4 children with us and this place was amazing. Beautiful house and great pool/rec space. Playa Grande is a gem and had plenty of restaurants and shops walkable. The beach sunsets were beautiful. Exactly what we needed can’t wait to come back!. Trevor was extremely responsive and Raquel took care of all our needs on site. She was amazing. We highly recommend Casa Serenity.

Fantastic location, impeccably designed home in one of the bast areas in Costa Rica. Very modern architecture, great security and incredibly clean. Would definitely stay again.

From my first inquiry about the property until our departure, Trevor was responsive, kind and helpful. Casa Sun is brand new and beautifully appointed. This spacious modern home, the salt water pool, and outdoor spaces are clean and well maintained. Washer/dryer on site, plush beach towels and the casual Playa Grande vibe of flip flops/bathing suit makes packing light a breeze. Glorious sunsets, soft wide sand beaches, and the inviting warm ocean is a few minutes walk from the front gate along with several lively and varied places to eat. Thanks for everything Trevor, we hope to visit again soon!
