3BR Villa in Manuel Antonio

Very nice home! Great location with parking. Communicative and helpful host!

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay at this house, locally known as “La Miraje” (The Mirage). The house looks and feels exactly like the photos - and it’s even better to be in the place. The art, colors, fixtures, and architecture are all peak. We enjoyed sitting out on the massive deck every morning, listening to the surrounding wildlife and people. Monkeys and macaws appeared in the trees every day as if they were squirrels and robins back home. It never got old! The concierge, Jose, was extremely responsive and helpful, and tended to the home every day while we were out exploring. He always had a quick helpful answers to questions about the property and surroundings, and helped us book excursions with excellent providers. We are so glad we chose this home as our base during such a memorable vacation, and would absolutely stay there again.

Jack’s home was a wonderful place for my family and I to rest our heads after our busy days of excursions and sightseeing. The house was spacious and very inviting. Jack helped us pick out excursions and help us set them up. He also recommended restaurants in the area that we definitely enjoyed and was a wonderful host. Our family appreciated his hospitality and enjoyed his home. Thank you for sharing a little bit of your Costa Rica lifestyle with us. We hope to be back soon! Pura Vida!

This is a lovely house right in the centre of the town of Manuel Antonio, within easy walking distance of shops, restaurants, yoga, and other services (but quite a walk from the beach - 30 to 40 min). We, a family of 5, really enjoyed our stay in the house which is very spacious and has a very nice kitchen / bar and outdoor kitchen. The host was very friendly and happy to provide info on activities and arrange bookings and also a private shuttle which took us to the house from Alajuela, and also from the house to Monteverde at a good price. The only negative about our stay was how exceptionally firm the beds were, in particular in the master bedroom, and there was no quick fix to that (on our third day we did get some blankets etc. to make it softer). Also, the system/setup regarding daily maid services could have been clarified better, but on day 3 someone came to take care of garbage, and then there was a full cleaning on day 4 (we stayed in the house for 5 nights).

This is a beautiful house with lots of amenities. It is very centrally located and easy to get to. HOWEVER, because it is so centrally located there is ambient noise ALL THE TIME. Engines, car horns, music, yelling, fireworks…. It never stopped, not even at 2 am. If you live in the city and are used to the noise, maybe it wouldn’t bother you. But we didn’t sleep well the entire 10 days we were there. Also, we had two pairs of expensive shoes stolen from INSIDE THE PROPERTY. The shoes were behind a locked gate and a perimeter wall so the only people who could’ve taken them were the house owner or his cleaning guy. The house owner confirmed on camera that the shoes were, at one time, in the house but refused to accept any responsibility for them going missing. He tried to tell me it was a ghost. Finally, the home owner was VERY slow to respond and not forthcoming with info without numerous texts and messages repeatedly asking for information.

Host Response

Neither Brian or I would ever take anything from anybody, never the less womans sneakers. You had to misplace them. As for the noise and fireworks in the neighborhood, it was Christmas and New Years and thats what they do here and around the world.

This place was amazing for our group. The place looks even better in person than in the photos. People mention the beds being firm which they were and everyone in our group slept great on them. We were missing a few cleaning products which took a day or so to sort out. This house is located in a neighborhood within Manuel Antonio and we loved feeling like a part of the community. Great places to eat and a grocery store right around the corner from the house. I would stay here again for sure.
