This place is fantastic.....I love so much I tried to book another night and change my travel plans. It's off the main road but easy to find. You hear the river at night and surrounded by nature. I recommend staying here. It's a large place . 3 beds , two baths. Lots of hot water , comfortable beds.....very large kitchen and dining area. Very safe also...

A beautiful and secluded house, a place from which it is easy to reach the city center and go on trips in the surrounding area. It is spacious and air-conditioned and has all the equipment you need and more. Simply charming!! The hosts are lovely and were available for any questions we had! Highly recommended!

This was such a special home, we absolutely loved it. It had a gorgeous backyard and we saw tons of toucans, frogs, even a leaf-mimicing preying mantis. We felt safe and at home. Very spacious and a spectacular home to stay at. Thanks Tati & John, very responsive as well.

The property was very clean and exactly as shown in the photos. The host was attentive, responsive, and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. The house was a comfortable size and had everything we needed. The location was also very convenient, making it easy to get around. We would definitely book this property again.

The stay was very pleasant. The apartment was very clean, comfortable, very centrally located, and safe. The host responds very quickly to messages, very friendly. Since we arrived early to do an activity and due to weather issues we couldn't do it, he allowed us to park before check-in time. notes: 1. The bedroom is very comfortable 2. The kitchen is well equipped 3. Very clean bathroom 4. We didn't use the Jacuzzi, but the back area is very, very nice for hanging out. Feedback: 1. I imagine it's normal sometimes, but for our taste, the bed creaks a lot when you move while sleeping. 2. The knives were not sharp, and since we could do something, we did it. 3. We like the kitchen to have good light, but not all the light bulbs work 4. The bedroom light also needs to be improved. Some don't work and others are very bright.

Our family of 5 really enjoyed staying at Tati & John's place for our 3 nights in La Fortuna. The location felt very private but yet was walkable to a couple of great restaurants, and so close to the La Fortuna Waterfall and El Salto rope swing. The house itself has a cool layout with full walls of windows on both sides of the main living space that makes you feel like you're completely surrounded by rainforest. Bathrooms were clean and modern, beds were comfortable. We had everything we needed to make breakfast at the house each morning before heading off on our adventures. Tati & John were extremely quick to respond to any questions we had. Overall this was an excellent value in a perfect location for exploring La Fortuna/Arenal.

Like someone else said: the pictures did not do it justice. I think that the plants/grass/landscaping has grown since they took pictures. Really beautiful outside area and it felt private. It was about an 8 minute walk to the El Salto rope swing and closer to a little coffee shop & convenience store. We had a really great dinner at a spot right around the corner our first night. There is so much to do in the area & the house was a great home base. Tati & John were very responsive & got us what we needed. House was very clean! Be aware that if you’re hoping to cook, it’s not a big kitchen so better to do easy meals there & eat out the rest.

Very beautiful house, spacious and ideally located near the city. It's a perfect place for families. However, you should be aware that several small reptiles roam around the property. If that bothers you, it's something to consider. For our part, we found it fascinating to observe, and it adds to the charm of the experience. We had a great stay. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Was very quiet and close to Baldi for the hot springs. The house is very spacious for a multi family stay.

Approaching this hidden gem seemed liked an adventure in itself. It’s certainly not off the beaten path by any means but it is perfectly positioned amongst the Costa Rican trees. Immediately upon exiting the sound of a rushing babbling brook whisks you away into an immediate paradise vibe. The home is protected and feels so safe. The home is beautiful and an intentional spot for comfort and relaxation. An open concept kitchen and living room made for a perfect place to gather before retiring into our comfortable beds. One minor missing piece was no coffee in the kitchen. That’s okay though, you’re minutes from that perfect cup of Joe. The location is superb. I would highly recommend this property!

Excellent accommodation, great location.

We only spent one night at their place. We had planned on going home after kayaking on the Peña river but at the last minute we decided to stay another night. So I found Tati and John’s place on Air B and B. I booked it and we were checked in quickly thanks to their explicit instructions on how to find the place, including pictures of the driveway, road into the house. We wanted to do a load of laundry and I texted them to see if they had any detergent we could use and within 5 minutes Tati showed up with detergent and she explained how to use the washer. They were very kind. There house sits away from the hustle and noise of La Fortuna. It’s very quiet and peaceful. It has a patio to sit on and watch the birds. Great place.

I loved the place, super comfortable and super private, excellent for spending one or two nights, very quiet, and everything was very tidy and clean.

Wonderful stay in La Fortuna! The house was clean, comfortable, and well located for visiting the volcano, hot springs, restaurants, and local attractions. The area felt peaceful and safe, and everything we needed was available. We really enjoyed our time here and would happily stay again. Highly recommended!

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay! From start to finish, the service was top notch! Our hosts had everything we needed and very responsive to questions. The location was an easy drive to La Fortuna eateries and centrally located to access activities. About a minute drive is a convenient store, souvenir shop, and eateries (Change Verde is one of them, very popular, always busy, w yummy burgers and birria tacos!) I woke up well rested and loved waking up to the sounds of nature. The home is very clean, well stocked and comfortable. Just FYI - the home is at the very end of an unpaved, gravel road. Thank you Tati and John for being such graceful hosts!

Very good location, just a short walk from the main square. The place is a bit cramped but comfortable; it has good-quality air conditioning. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the bathroom is also hassle-free. Tati was very helpful and friendly.

Quiet place, located near downtown Fortuna

This Airbnb is in a safe location, an easy walk to downtown La Fortuna. Having parking for one car was great being so close to downtown as well. The place was clean and had air-conditioning.

Lovely new home near the Poás Volcano. Modern and minimalist design in wood and concrete. Spacious living quarters and particularly loved the jacuzzi (just needs a stronger water connection to fill it). Gracias Tati & John.

Beautiful home in peaceful and secure location, close to many great restaurants and activities of La Fortuna. Peaceful sound of the river by the house though you can’t see/access it. House was unique with a lot of space. Great privacy inside and out. Not a lot of seating in living room if that is important to you, it wasn’t an issue for us as we weren’t staying there to watch TV. Great place for couples or family. We found it difficult to be able to use the hot tub as it takes a hours to fill and the heater is only activated when it’s filling so you can’t just fill it and use it later without adding more water to heat it. It made timing tricky as we were not in the house a lot but for people that were spending more time at the house it may be fine. I just note it to let people know in case that is important to you. There is so much to do and see in the area we just didn’t spend much time in the house. Overall we were very happy and enjoyed our stay! Host was always quick to respond.

We had a great time at this spacious and modern villa. Everything was very functional and the house was well laid out. The contact with Tati and John was great: efficient, accommodating and friendly. I would highly recommend it PS: I saw some comments about the ants. There are a few, it's true, but it's inevitable in such an environment. They come mostly when food is lying around. So I recommend that future visitors be mindful of storing food properly 😉

This is the ideal place to stay if you want to go to La Fortuna It's literally a few blocks from downtown There are a thousand things to do and buy to eat There's a store nearby The host was always friendly and in touch It is ideal for two people, my husband and I stayed there and we didn't need anything The best thing is the jacuzzi, AMAZING! Great stay. Clear instructions on getting there which was appreciated given it is a bit secluded. I highly recommend walking to the rope swing nearby for a dip in the morning and eating dinner at El Chante Verde - great ambiance and guac appetizer (although it can get busy so be prepared for a small wait). For future guests, regarding the hot tub: As other reviews have mentioned, the tub takes a while to fill up - so try to do so at least 2-3 hours before you plan to use it. Also the water is quite hot, so you might find it necessary to let it cool for a bit or mix some cold water in.

A place that is too quiet, clean, tidy and too nice, too cute

They were the perfect hosts. We had a hard time finding it at night, but they immediately chatted with us and got us to their place. Their place was perfect and a great location to explore—coffee shop and restaurant 2 min away. You have this great secluded place, and then all the amenities right there.

We had an excellent stay in La Fortuna! The accommodation is perfectly located, surrounded by nature yet only a 5-minute drive from downtown and all the main tourist attractions. The house is spacious, comfortable, and very pleasant for everyday living. Communication with the hosts was perfect, always responsive and helpful.
