Had a bachelorette getaway at Jeannette and Marc’s little peace of heaven. Our communications with Jeannette were very helpful as far as planning our stay and organizing the trip. All the beds were comfortable. We had Paulita come and cook most of the meals for an amazing price. It was perfect. She was very nice and every meal was great. We were able to walk the beach to a few different bars and restaurants and eat/drink as well. Everyone in the small town was very nice. 30 minute hike to a beautiful waterfall. ( you don’t want to miss out on) Bring water shoes for the beach as there are rocks in the ocean. But you pretty much have your own private beach. As an all women party we felt safe at the house as well as in town and on the beach. We will be back. 💚

This property is truly incredible. It is remote, beautiful and everything you could want in a vacation. We traveled with 6 children ages 6 and under and it was perfect for kids this age. So much for them to do and explore right outside the front door. Palita prepared meals for us throughout our stay here and not only was her food incredible, but her, Raul and the rest of their family were so kind, welcoming, helpful and accommodating. To say Jeannette went above and beyond to make our stay spectacular would be an understatement. She was so helpful in our planning, making suggestions and setting up excursions for us. We could not have done it without all of her help- she is a gem. If you are looking for a beautiful setting removed from the large crowds of Puerto Vallarta, relaxation, adventure, culture and interacting with some amazing people, look no further. I could not recommend this property more.

We had a spectacular 9 day stay here! Jeannette went above and beyond to coordinate everything from the states to make sure that the local caretakers (Raul and Palita, and their son Raulito) had everything ready for us, every step of the way. If you are looking for a magical jungle adventure experience but not too far away from the modern world (it’s only a 45 minute boat ride from the Puerto Vallarta pier) then this is the place for you! 5 full bedrooms, comfortable mattresses, a huge kitchen and living area, and the best part — waking up to the ocean at your front door, literally! It’s hard to describe how awesome this place is. Everything has to be brought in by boat so you can easily see how much time, love and effort Jeannette and Marc have put into this home over the last decade. The best part for us is how well the local family took care of us. We hired them to cook brunch and dinner for us all 9 days and felt so nourished and spoiled. We didn’t have to lift a finger! Which was so nice since we were busy chasing after our 3 year old and 6 month old. The house and village are very kid friendly. We had the BEST time, and can’t wait to one day go back!

Our group of five had an amazing trip. Jeannette and Marc made sure we were well taken care of by locals who shepherded us from Boca de Tomatlan to Quimixto and their beautiful house there. It was much larger than we expected (both inside and out) and we had a fun and comfortable stay. Raul was a lot fun to be around, and always ready to help us get where we needed to go or plan an adventure. His wife Palita cooked the most amazing meals we had while in the country ... wow! Quimixto is quiet and beautiful, but it also has no shortage of opportunities for relaxation or adventure within easy walking distance.

This was my third stay at this gorgeous Quimixto location. The house is huge, and well kept for the remote locale. One needs to expect that the electricity may go out or that the appliances may not be in perfect order. But also know that this is the charm of such a vacation. The local family, Raoul and Paulita bend over backwards to provide, also with warm smiles and open arms. When my littlie was stung by a bee (she’s allergic) the whole village jumped into action to assist. This location is magical, the ultimate way to wind down. I will be back for a fourth! Thank you again!

It was a wonderful family trip... ages 11 to 83! The location is spectacular... right on a beautiful beach with low- key beach bars a few steps away. Loved Quimixto... a very friendly town mostly off the tourist grid. Raul and Paulita took great care of us... very kind people who provided transportation and the most delicious Mexican food we’ve ever eaten. The house was very clean and spacious. Jeanette and Marc communicated with us every step of the way which meant a great deal to us. Would love to return one day!

Very nice place on very quiet beach. There are some small shops and restaurants. Raul was very helpful for the trip by boat and for providing us some fish.

If you’ve never been to Quimixto you dont know that this is the premier spot to stay in the whole area. It is large and perfect for a group of friends or several couples or families. The house is right on the point and the bar with bbq outdoor kitchen and palapas is literally situated right out on the tip of the sand. Locals help with anything you need, small store that has great supplies nearby and 2 beach restaurants are right next to you. Hard to beat this place for some time away from the world and peaceful days with your own nearly private beach. Highly recommended and great hosts.

We loved our stay in Quimixto! Jeanette was very communicative through the whole process and it was just a super relaxing stay. Raul and Palita, as noted by others, were amazing and truly made us feel comfortable and welcome. Raul is there for WHATEVER you need and take advantage of his services to go whale watching or just snorkeling. He knows the area very well. Be sure to coordinate groceries in advance with Jeanette as you will not want to leave for supplies once you get there!

We had a wonderful time at Marc and Jeanette's home. We had four adults and five kids under the age of 14 with us. This is the perfect place to stay if you do not want the hustle and bustle of the hotel zone. From the airport we took a 40-45 minute ride to Boca. From there, Raul took us by boat or panga to the house. We did buy a few groceries and snacks in Boca. Paulita cooked breakfast and dinners for us. It was perfect and very easy! Her food was fresh and absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed spending time at Oscars which is an outdoor bar about two minutes from the house. The kids enjoyed the beach. Everybody was very friendly. We walked to the waterfall. I would recommend walking and not horseback riding. The exercise is great! There is a little store with the basic necessities about 7 to 10 minutes from the house. The kids enjoyed walking to the store by themselves to get ice cream. It is a very safe and quiet community. Everyone was very hospitable. If you are looking for something other than the hotel zone this is certainly the place to be.

Was an adventure getting everyone there with late flights and arriving in darkness On the beach, but once you find your feet it's a little piece of heaven! Feels like you are on an island , everyone truly switched off. With Oscar's wonderful beach bar restaurant, Charlie's on the other end of the beach , paullita's cooking , bbqing at home , we had a feast every evening. Can't wait to go back !!

This was an unforgettable experience! We will for sure be back! The house and location are even better in real life than described. Of course, you have to have the mind set for an adventure to get there, but it truly is a house on the beach. Cannot get closer if you tried. We wanted a unique holiday with a true Mexican feel, while still having comforts from home - this house offers all of that. Getting to the house is so much fun, the drive to Boca, then taking a boat to the small fishing village. We were two families with 5 kids in total. Kids were in ocean all day. The beach next to the house has more tranquil waves and a beach bar / restaurant (which is a super plus). The villagers are super friendly, they new our kids names by the time we left. There are very few tourists, so no annoying souvenir vendors around. Most important part of the trip is to follow all the instructions of how to get there, who is your contact when you are there, how much to tip etc... Jeannette was always available when needed, super caring and welcoming. Once you are there, time to relax. Make sure to have Paulita cook for you dinner, the fresh fresh fish is the best! we will go back :-)

My family of 7 stayed at Casa De Las Olas this year as our family Christmas gift. It was truly beautiful and relaxing. Our stay started with an amazing fish dinner caught that morning and prepared by Raul and Paulita who are available for anything and everything while you relax and enjoy this gorgeous place! We asked Paulita to cook breakfast and dinner each night, it was the best Mexican food I've ever had. Raul took us snorkeling and to a near by village for parasailing and waterfalls. In Quimixto, we rode horses on the beach and up to a waterfall which was a lot of fun. We also made a trip to the zoo where we played with baby animals like a leopard, lion, black panther and monkeys. It was all we talked about for days!!! Jeannette is so great at arranging everything you need and is in available for any questions or needs that arise. Did I mention that we also had our own bartender at the house each night? My one suggestion would be to stop at a grocery store before leaving Puerto Vallarta and pick up snacks and drinks for the house. Once you are at the home you will be so relaxed while laying in a hammock looking at the water in front of you and the beautiful lush jungle behind you.It was truly amazing!!!

Couldn't have asked for a better off-the-beaten-path vacation, full of adventure, fun, amazing local caretakers, and incredible homeowners. I genuinely felt that our enjoying the home was a priority and Jeannette was above and beyond helpful making sure we had the best time. From being there during crab season to Paulita's incredible cooking, trips to local towns and the most incredible sunsets, this was definitely a trip of a lifetime. Panga boats, iguanas, waterfalls, jungle treks, snorkeling with hundreds of clownfish, kayaking, and swinging on the hammocks- there are no words to describe how different and special of a vacation this was. Thank you for the fantastic memories.

Marc and Jeannette were truly outstanding in providing the necessary info, making sure we had a great time during our stay. When we arrived, gas for the kitchen and shower was not turned on, but after letting us know it was fixed within a few hours. Can confidently recommend anyone who loves adventures to stay here, it's an amazing place and Raul and Palita who help with cooking etc are well worth getting to know. Thanks for 5 great days!

Can't thank Jeannette enough for her energy and enthusiasm helping us to get settled and relaxed...and wow, what a place to be relaxed in! The casa is massive, beautiful and literally right on the beach. Some nights the sound of the ocean was almost deafening! The wonderful casa and the small village of Quimixto are such a great oasis to escape to. Turn off your phone, forget the Internet and the rest of the world and unwind. Raul is hilarious, honest, super generous and has a heart of gold. He could not have been a more perfect host during our stay - taking us on boat/fishing/snorkling/whale watching adventures, giving us advice on where to go, even who makes the world's greatest Mexican cheesecake right there in Quimixto. And Raul's wife Palita is the most incredible cook, preparing us stunning Mexican breakfasts and dinners...wow. She also offered to come and spring-clean the casa mid-way during our stay...we highly advise this little touch. She also did some clothes washing for us which was a serious blessing... :) And again, what a warm heart of gold and incredible sense of humour she and her family has! We are already missing them and this wonderful slice of paradise.

Beautiful, relaxing place. The caretaker/host, Raul , is very helpful and in general a wonderful guy.

Jeannette and Marcos went out of their way to help us feel welcome and supported as we were trying to make our way with the language and culture of the local surroundings. They were more than available and receptive to questions, ideas of things to do, and help in how to have the most relaxing, fun, and ideal vacation possible. The house was immaculate and for those that are squeamish, bug and vermin free (despite the openness and feel of being out of doors). It was the perfect vacation that we needed for us - off the beaten path, adventure, but also beautiful, slow, and restorative. Everywhere we went we either had to walk or take a water taxi. I chose to remain unplugged but my husband paid for overseas internet access, which helped him stay in touch with our hosts about questions. The waterfalls in Yelapa and Quixmixto were gorgeous and the local seafood was so fresh and delicious that we never wanted to eat anything else. Jeannete and Marcos also arranged for Paulita, their local hostess and helper/housekeeper, to make us an amazing local meal. We felt totally cared for.

We were being picked up at BOCA to travel further to the house by panga ( medium sized open boat ) They are available the entire day . This is where it all starts : its a nice short( fast ) trip to the house along a beautiful shoreline where you are being introduced by the caretaker ( Luis and Paulina ) They show you around and show you the nearest small shops ( very small ) We plugged in the Ipod on the available dock and start enjoying the absolute fantastic place with your own music ( 30 pin or aux ) .Even the kids like Pink Floyd / Dire straits now ! While preparing a meal in the outdoor kitchen we enjoyed the beautiful view including flight show of the pelicans. ( inches of the water laughing at us because of our limited human skills ) After a while the neighborhood dogs will come and make sure you will feel at home . Don't treat them too good . In Our case "Brutes" stayed the week with us to return after a quick meal at its own place and play with the kids. while showing us his digging skills . For the kids there is TV / DVD / VCR available just in case they get bored .. We used it to cool them down before going to bed. At a place like this even the kids started to enjoy the art of "doing nothing ". For the internet addicted . You are connected via the cellular net but don't expect to transfer data a lot . Don't go here to update your unread mail :-) The sunsets / thunderstorms are impressive too see ( we had both ) We sadly only stayed for one week but really enjoyed it .
