3BR Villa in Sayulita

Excellent, 1 month ago

Simple. I'll get back to you as soon as I can.

Villa Luisa is a beautiful home in an exceptional beachfront setting that feels wonderfully private. We loved spending long days by the pool overlooking the ocean. Señora Angélica deserves special recognition for being warm, communicative and meticulous throughout most of our stay. Some aspects, however, did not fully match the caliber or value suggested by the listing. The kitchen needs a deeper clean, better organization and repairs to several cabinets, while the outdoor grill and sink area also require more regular upkeep. The staff were friendly but very reserved, and communication around grocery purchasing and sourcing became unnecessarily confusing. Overall, the villa itself is lovely, and the location is difficult to beat. I would consider returning for a shorter trip with friends, although the inconsistent maintenance, kitchen organization, and service experience made it less suitable for the family stay we had envisioned.

Scott’s place and their team were exceptional. They were very responsive before and throughout our stay. They helped coordinate activities and other recommendations to make our trip a memorable one. The staff were very attentive anytime they were there. The place is beautiful and the view of the beach from the place is like a postcard. Our kids enjoyed the pool and chasing waves on the beach. The town was just a short drive away, so we got the best of both worlds. Thank you for an amazing stay, we hope to be back again soon!

We had a really enjoyable stay overall and would love to come back. The space was clean, comfortable, and matched the listing well. The location was the highlight, effectively nestled on a private beach, and we felt at home during our time there. The only challenge we experienced was with communication. At times, responses from the host were slower than expected, which made coordinating a few details a bit difficult. While everything ultimately worked out, more timely and proactive communication would have made the experience smoother. That said, we still had a positive stay and appreciate the effort that went into hosting. With a bit more consistency in communication, this would easily be a 5-star experience for us.

What an incredible location and team of people! We loved lounging around the house and pool and playing on the beach. It was so nice having everything taken care of for us. From the airport transportation and delicious food served daily to housekeeping and concierge services, we felt completely relaxed. The massages were so nice we had them come twice! All of the food was excellent, but some favorites included the sopes, ceviche, birria, and the pizza. It was fun having the UTV to visit Sayulita, also enjoyed a round at Higuera golf club. Thanks so much Sempre Avanti team!

Excellent, 1 year ago

This is the second time we've stayed at Scott's house and like the first time the house is beautiful and more so now that they've remodeled the garden and the new room on the second floor. The area is very quiet and surrounded by nature. Fatima and Beto's service, as always, is incredible. They are very attentive and helpful, they help with everything you need, and Fatima is an excellent Chef. I recommend Scott's house 100%, we will return whenever Scott receives us.

Scott’s place is amazing! Our first but not final trip to sayulita was unforgettable. We were celebrating a few amazing milestones with our dear friends and we couldn’t have found ourselves anywhere better. Fatima and Beto surpassed any expectations. The food was not only surprisingly inexpensive but out of this world. Clean, spacious, quite, comfortable beds and soft sheets. Everything you’d want and more. Thank you for hosting us, we can’t wait to come back!!

This home was perfect for us. It's close enough to town to get there quickly, but far enough away to be out of the hustle and bustle. We rented a little side by side which was perfect for getting around. Very secluded and private setting, safe area, easy beach access, and gorgeous views. The home and grounds are impeccably maintained by Beto and Fatima, who care for the property and cook for you! They are both VERY kind and accommodating. It was no nice to find a little smaller property with this caliber of luxury and location. Scott, the owner, was very responsive, and thoughtful enough to check in to make sure we had all we needed. If you're the adventurous sort, try the mountain biking through the single-track jungle trails -- what a blast! And Scott's recommendation to use Capitan Pato was spot on. Pato allowed us to customize a trip to sight see, snorkel, fish, and enjoy the beauty of the coastline. On our next trip to Sayulita, we'll be staying a Sempre Avanti for sure!

Scott, Beto & Fatima were great hosts. Scott was super communicative and Beto / Fatima were always willing to help. The casa and property is stunning, had we not been there with our three young kiddos my wife and I may have enjoyed it more! Kidding aside, the house is great for families or couples :) Being open air rooms they are more prone to bugs and dirt. At one point we had an excess of ants in the bedroom, when we took the rug outside to shake it the amount of dirt under was significant. The place is clean but is probably due for a deep cleaning and perhaps some bug spray. I also experienced 2 scorpions 🦂 inside while we were there! Beautiful place and we look forward to returning in the future!

Host Response

Hi Alexander, Thanks for the feedback. I have already talked to Fatima about being more thorough in her cleaning and it won't happen again. I also had Beto call the bug service who sprays our house to be more diligent is spraying every portion of the house once a month. Thanks and I look forward to meeting you next time. Scott

This is an absolute paradise. Our stay exceeded all expectations - the views, proximity to the remote beach, the private chef making amazing food (far better quality and value than in town). Highly recommend. Host was friendly, very responsive, and helped us arrange an epic and successful fishing/whale watching/snorkeling trip. CanAm is quite an adventure; we used it for a quick 5 minute trip to the zip line place and to go into town a couple times. But honestly, the magic was at the house watching the sunset with our kids in the edgeless pool.

Simply paradise for our family of 5. Amazing home with amazing views in a private and tranquil setting overlooking the beautiful ocean beach just outside of Sayulita. The house itself has plenty to do, with an incredibly well maintained pool looking right over the ocean, and very easy access to the beach just steps away, but if you want to venture out it’s a 10 minute ride to town or even closer to get to the main zip lining and horseback riding place just a couple minutes down the hill. Highly suggest renting the Canam UTV to get around. Loved this place dearly, our family will be back soon.

What an amazing place! Everything was impeccable. Great equipped kitchen if you like to cook. The spaces in the house are great. The view, the private beach and with a good driver to take you to and back from main Sayulita, you have everything you need. Scott was extremely helpful and responsive. The car service he lined up was a great resource throughout our stay. Everything we needed even through a few days of weather related issues were kindly resolved above and beyond. Thanks Scott. We’ll definitely be back!!! Gracias Amigo!!!

If you’re looking to disconnect, this place is perfect. The views were beautiful and the pool was lovely. A bit difficult to do anything else but swim and maybe sleep bc everything besides the bedrooms are outdoors, so to hang out in communal areas you have to brave the heat, humidity and the bugs (as stated no TV and as in other reviews intermittent, weather dependent Wi-F — maybe add some Lotería or Scrabble games available to play for entertainment?). We travelled with toddlers (3 and 1), just some thoughts: lots of stairs - we had to get creative to childproof some things; no kid supplies - available for rent from outside vendor, but pretty pricy (350 pesos/day for high chair). If renting a car, def consider AWD/4x4 bc road coming in is extremely rugged. Location is great, secluded but close to town. The cost included daily cleaning plus 1 cooked meal, which you buy all ingredients for. In the end, at this price point choosing Sempre Avanti vs an all inclusive next would be tough.

The place is beautiful, just like the pictures. First time visiting Puerto Vallarta, travelled on July 2023. Scott sent us clear instructions to find the place and we have no problem, checking in was a breeze. We followed the advised and rented a Rav4 (Gecko Car Rental) and worked perfectly for our family of five. We travelled with three teenagers who are strong swimmers. They loved the ocean but be aware the waves were strong during our stay. They still had a blast. We loved walking the beach every day, very private, this was the biggest bonus. It feels very safe even though to one of my kids the house was too open. You can only lock the two bedrooms; the rest of the house has an open design which some may like it but not for everyone. Two days we had afternoon rain, and the crabs came out and we enjoyed watching these little creatures. If grocery shopping, plan accordingly the closest big warehouses are 35min away. Be aware most places in Sayulita only take Mexican pesos in cash.

This home has an amazing layout and is a gorgeous location. Open air house - fantastic Pool / ocean-view - amazing Beach access - unbelievable (about 100 steps) The beach itself - Awesome, super private. I’m not sure we saw more than 3 or 4 people at any point. Beto and Fatima were a huge help. Needed a cab into town, no problem; dinners were delicious; the home was always clean! Sayulita is such a great town. There was a range of different vibes - nice, sit-down restaurants, got em. Pop-up bars and food stands, they have those too! No issues with safety ever - we felt perfectly fine. The locals are so friendly! Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better trip!

The house is spectacular and the owner is incredibly nice and accommodating. Beto and Fatima, the couple who handle the housekeeping and cooking (on request) are so wonderful and helpful, while at the same time completely unobtrusive. It was the perfect getaway for us and our kids for a week. We love the area and have visited many times. This is our favorite place to stay yet. It’s a little further from the town Sayulita than some other places we’ve stayed but we’ll worth it for the privacy and the surroundings. If you are planning on coming and going quite a bit, you may want to rent a car, ideally a 4x4. That said, we used taxis for everything, most of the time graciously arranged by Beto. We never had a problem with pickup or taxis finding our location. The house itself is gorgeous and has everything you need. I recommend stocking up on groceries in PV on your way from the airport and just enjoying the beach and the pool. Fatima is also a wonderful cook! We will come back for sure!

Sempre Avanti is utterly gorgeous - the house is a gem and the vistas are extraordinary. Scott handled all our basic needs and then some - great host and I appreciated all he did for us - from arranging massages to the rental of his ATV (the drive to town is rugged and requires an ATV btw for the roads - do not rent a standard vehicle or you'll be regretting life). Small disappointments that need fixing: the furniture by the pool is mostly broken so only one or two lounges are use-able, and the bed linens are rough and not very cozy. These are not major problems in the big picture - just slightly disappointing for an otherwise spectacular home. I recommend for a couples looking to get away from it all as we did.

Host Response

Yes, I noticed the outdoor furniture was worn and ordered new lounge chairs but unfortunately they were delayed and arrived a day after Cyrus’s stay. They are all in working order now. We have also replaced the bed linens.

Go now! As fast as you can! We’ve always stayed in all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and this was our first time venturing out of the comfort zone. It truly was the most amazing, peaceful, beautiful place. German and Maria were great. They were there when we wanted and gave us our privacy when we wanted. Maria’s mahi mahi was so delicious a must order for one of the day’s meals. The can am rental is a must. We loved going into town every day and exploring Sayulita and Punta Mita for a couple hours. Walking along the private beach area was serene. Only a few people on the stretch. We will be back! Thanks for the best vacation we’ve had in awhile!

Wonderful house. Very private and peaceful. Quick 10-15min drive into Sayulita. We rented the CanAm through Scott and that was great for going back and forth from town/around town. The roads are adventurous but we enjoyed it. Herman was so helpful and responsive - getting groceries, helping to get taxis, and answering any questions we had throughout the week. We ate dinners prepared by Maria all but one night and they were all delicious. This is a great option for a family or group that wants the quiet of being a bit out of the town but close enough to enjoy Sayulita.

First the positive. This property is magnificent. Very peaceful and magical. Great if you want to feel solitude and tranquil. Next the not so positive. Our host Scott wrote me a few days before check in stating that due to a recent storm, the water at the house was not working properly. He quoted 2-3 weeks to fix it. He suggested we cancel. I scrambled to find alternative lodging and paid for a different house. When I tried to cancel Sempre Avanti, Scott was not cooperative. Apparently, the water issue was resolved sooner than expected. He refused to acknowledge that he suggested I cancel. Airbnb was completely unhelpful in supporting me to reach a resolution because Scott had been communicating by email instead of through the Airbnb app. Luckily the 2nd host was very accommodating and not only allowed me to cancel with full refund, but also offered for me to stay in his property rent free and a gift certificate to a local beach front restaurant—which was amazing. Working with Scott was very frustrating and nearly ruined the trip before it started. Luckily I turned communication over to my wife and let it go. Lesson: always communicate with hosts through Airbnb.

Host Response

This is not true. Yes, we did have a storm and lost water pressure for a couple of days. I informed Zeke of this and asked him if he wanted to reschedule his trip. He thought about it for a few days and informed me I needed to cancel the trip. I told him everything has been fixed so he could still come or he could reschedule. Zeke became very annoyed and started trying to bully me saying I had to cancel the trip. I asked him why he wouldn't reschedule or cancel but he would not tell me. The truth is he double booked and was trying to strong arm me to cancel his trip. I still don't know why he wouldn't cancel it himself if he had booked another place. I continually asked him but he became more and more aggressive. I have been doing this for 6 years and have never dealt with someone like Zeke. Luckily, his wife Missy took over communications and was a pleasure to work with.

The house is amazing and the place where it is is paradise. It has all the amenities and amenities, just keep in mind that there is no cell coverage and you need to bring a van. Maria and German are very attentive and always ready for what you need.

This place is absolutely beautiful! The view is breath taking! We had a great time. Loved the flexibility and accessibility of a private pool and also the beach. Scott was very attentive and very helpful. German and Maria were amazing. German makes sure anything needed is available and Maria’s cooking is fantastic. I had read reviews about getting a jeep and though people were exaggerating, but no! Please get an SUV. Weather was fantastic and pool temperature was also great! I would definitely stay here again.

We had a good experience overall, but unfortunately we and some of the staff got sick in the last days and could not take advantage at the fullest. Chose to isolate ourselves just to be safe, but we were offered service alternatives if interested. House has some great architectural features. The indoor/outdoor concept is awesome but may not be for everybody. Expect some uninvited guests and bring some earplugs if the sound of the ocean is not making you sleep:). We loved the beach, it's easy access and the fact that there just a few people around. It's a nice 1 mile walk. Pool and the crabs were a big hit with the kids. I would recommend stopping at one of the supermarkets on the way from the airport and buying most that is needed for your stay. You may not be able to find everything in Sayulita and while the trip to town through the jungle is a unique experience it may be too much for just running errands. The road to the house is a unique and fun experience and has two routes. A shorter one to the main road through a small creek that may require some more careful driving and a longer but easier one through the jungle. I think it can be done with any vehicle depending on your driving skills. We rented the CanAm and it was great. But I would shop around. Sayulita is pretty busy and parking can be a bit of a hassle but part of the experience. If busy is not your thing, San Pancho has a more relaxed feel and it is quiet:) We loved San Pancho more and had some great food over there. We would have probably upgraded the bedsheets, towels and some of the kitchen utensils to make this close to perfect. The house is too awesome to let small things like that spoil your vacation.

Casa sempre avanti was an amazing stay. It is a lot like the nicest glamping you will ever do. Nothing is completely weather proof or bug proof but rooms are comfortable with a/c and the amenities were second to none. Had many people tell us that villas are the way to go as downtown Sayulita can be noisy and difficult to rest. Not the case here. Quiet sounds of waves and nature even In the Rainy season. Visiting in rainy season (late June- October) make certain to get a 4x4 vehicle if renting or ask Scott to arrange airport transfer. Roads are mountainous/cobblestones/dirt and many underwater areas near home in rainy season but if your driver is exceptional and your vehicle has clearance, still get the extra insurance. It’s not for the faint of heart but so worth it for the wonderful food Maria cooks, seclusion of being with just your party and beauty of the natural surroundings. 2-3 nice surf and body board breaks on the beach in front of Sempre Avanti and within walking distance (1km or less on the beach walking with your board. Access directly from property). Advanced swimming skills required aT playa Patzcuaro here. Maria and German are amazing and gracious hosts at this beautiful location.

This house is a slice of paradise; the perfect combination of luxury and adventure. Pictures don't do the house justice and the location makes you feel like you are completely secluded. German and Maria made the experience incredible, including greeting us with dinner and margaritas on their day off when travel plans delayed our arrival (don't miss Maria's fish tacos!). And Scott's communication was fantastic before and during the trip. I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else when returning to this area after experiencing a few days at Sempre Avanti.

Sempte Avanti is an amazing indoor/outdoor villa right on the beach. If you're looking for peace and solitude (as we were), this location is for you. My wife and I visited Scott's place for a week in early June and had a great time away from the hustle and bustle of the normal town & resort areas. What can we say... we loved it. The two walkable beaches, joined by a rock arch at low tide, made for an amazing 45-60 min round-trip walk in the mornings as we made first tracks in the sand each day. Never did we see more than 6 people on the beach and often only a solitary surfer. Some days it was just us and the local wildlife. German and Maria were very gracious and came by only when we asked and gave us peace and quiet when that's what we were looking for. They live on the property in another house about 50m from the villa (great for an emergency) but the fauna and vegetation provides lots of privacy so you would never know they're there. Other than a couple of nights where Maria cooked awesome fajitas and pizza for us, we chose to do our own barbequing and cooking. Make sure to pick-up charcoal briquettes at a store if you want to bbq. The villa is on the edge of the jungle, and given much of the house is open to the great outdoors, do expect lots of birds flying by and visiting you by the pool, along with the occasional little crab in the rainy season. It was amazing watching the beach come to life in the mornings. We rented a small 2WD SUV and it was fine getting us in and out of the property along the creek road to the villa. Definitely get something with more ground clearance than a regular car though. In the middle of rainy season, you might want to have 4x4. All-in-all, it was a very relaxing and peaceful vacation. Thank-you Scott, German, and Maria for having us!

Maria and German were amazing and attentive. And Scott was the host with the most! He greeted us with margaritas, gave us the grand tour, and had superior communication skills. The house is outside of town in a more secluded area, so I'd recommend taking them up on their offer to arrange transportation to/from the airport. A taxi from the airport might get lost, or not be able to manage some rough parts of the road once you are off the highway. I'd also recommend renting the Can Am from Arturo, if you intend to go into Sayulita. It's very fun and you'll definitely want something more capable than a golf cart. We had a great time!

This house and spot is INCREDIBLE! Pictures do not do it just as you can not capture the tranquility you feel once you walk through the doors. If it wasn’t for family commitments in Sayulita during our first part of stay, we would have never left. Sempre Avanti is situated on a very special spot where you can whale watch, experience an amazing sunset, enjoy a quiet beach and still be 10 minutes from downtown Sayulita and all it has to offer. Scott, German and Maria were wonderful. Scott is very responsive, German made sure we had everything we needed, and Maria made the best margaritas. Highly recommend renting the CanAm as jungle ‘road’ to house is bumpy and can get you to and from town easily. Thanks so much for opening your home.

Always Next is a treasure. Take Scott's advice and rent the Can-Am from Arturo - the drive in from the airport down the river road was an experience but you quickly find out that it's one of the main attractions of this home and part of what makes it so special (also take the jungle road to town at least once). Maria (and her daughter, so cute) made us several lunches and dinners - all of which were incredible! Herman took great care of us and even made us a bonfire on the beach one night. We had a minor emergency while we were in town and everyone (Scott, Maria, Arturo, Cande) made an effort to sort us out. Go eat at Mary's in town too! I'm not one to visit the same place multiple times and I'd happily visit Sayulita and stay at Scott's home over and over again. Thank you for opening your house!

Scott’s house is immaculate. I’ve stayed at a couple places in Sayulita and nothing compared to this. It felt like pure luxury to stay on this private beach just 10 min drive from main town. Especially in COVID times it’s nice to be in privacy with a clean space. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. German and Maria were also so sweet and respectful to anything we needed. Maria’s chilaquiles we’re unreal!! We rented the Can Am from Scott to drive into town and it was perfect for the 6 of us. We will definitely be returning!!

Wonderful house. Beautiful location. Perfect distance from town to have quiet but easily access it. Gorgeous views of the ocean and even better easy access to it!

This place is absolutely amazing - even better (if that is possible) than the pictures depict. The location is just south of Sayulita, maybe a 10 minute drive to town, and sits right on the water with a calm, quiet beach only steps away. The house itself is incredible - perfectly clean and well taken care of and an awesome pool and outdoor area. Germain and Maria are amazing as well. They do an incredible job taking care of the property and Maria's food is delicious! I highly recommend this place to stay - it simply can't be beat.

The house is beautiful Very spacious, well distributed An open design, very comfortable It has a very nice ocean view!! And the sea is just a short distance away. And the service from the hosts is excellent, German and Maria!! Maria cooks delicious food!! You can't miss the delicious wood-fired pizzas he prepares and the devil's shrimp, the rice, in short, everything he prepares is very tasty!! Carry mosquito repellent, even if they only come out at night. Very nice experience to go and relax!!

The pictures don’t do this property justice - it’s absolutely beautiful, and so well maintained. German and Maria are incredible and were the highlight of our trip. If you’re planning a trip around frequently visiting downtown Sayulita this might not be the best property as it’s a trek to get there - literally! - through jungle. Definitely opt for a can am if you are planning to travel to and from the property at all during your stay. Though the accommodations are super luxe and gorgeous, you are staying in the midst of a natural landscape, and there are very few places in the house that are actually “indoors” - so make sure you’re ok with meeting the occasional critter or bug in the evenings. By 9:30 each morning they are always cleaned up and the property is back to total luxury. If you’re looking for a combo of luxe and adventure, this place is perfect for you.

Sempre Aventi is a beautiful slice of paradise very close to Sayulita. The views are spectacular and just like in the photos- across the infinity pool over to the ocean; the only things you can’t see there are the exquisite butterflies that make it look like a scene from a Disney movie! It’s so well positioned to take in beautiful sunsets directly in front of the house. We rented the Can Am which is so fun to drive into town which is a short and adventurous 15 min drive. German makes a terrific margarita which was waiting for us when we arrived. We loved walking to the beach and watching the local crabs scuttling about. Scott was super responsive and helped us with everything. A terrific host.

We had an amazing stay. Loved how unique the property was, the home itself was just as described and photographed, and the services provided by German and Maria were kind and attentive. German and Maria were true gems, the perfect balance of unobtrusive and helpful. Be sure to try Maria's empanadas, tequila-lime shrimp, and homemade pizza to name a few meals, she even made the most delicious off-menu tostones from the plantains from the market (It's BYO groceries). Don't hesitate to upgrade your car rental to the SUV for peace of mind heading into the property on the rocky creek trail. Be ready for jungle critter visitors for the photo op, and enjoy the amazing sunsets and relaxing atmosphere away from it all, but close enough to towns for a change of scenery. This home is such an exceptional alternative to the resort style of vacation. Thank you Scott, German and Maria!

Scott answered all of our questions very promptly. Nice place made even better by German and Maria. The 'road' to the house is rough, but otherwise just about perfect.

Because of the pandemic, we were looking for a nice place away from the crowds without sacrificing luxury and comfort. It was exactly what we were looking for. María and Germán are very friendly and quite helpful. María made us everything from chilaquiles to lobster. There really wasn't any food we could ask her to cook that she didn't know how to make and that didn't turn out great. I would only have 2 comments: if you travel in a low car you will surely hit the road to get to the house and consider that there is no cell phone signal in the house. Yes, there is excellent Wi-Fi.

Scott’s house was perfect! Exactly as the description and pictures. House was clean and beautiful right on the ocean. Very peaceful and private. He provided a chef once a day, we chose lunch meals and they were fantastic (pizza and empanadas my favorite). The road to get to and from the city from the house is about 15 mins long and I highly recommend renting a gas powered Can Am. Regular golf carts might have issues getting through some parts of the rocky path. I would definitely rent this place again. Perfect rating.

Simply amazing! Casa sempre avanti has everything you need for an amazing vacation! Maria welcomes you with margaritas and her famous guacamole. Nothing can go wrong after seeing the wonderful sunset from the rooftop view. The rooms also offer a spectacular view, super comfortable beds, and amenities in general like a luxury hotel. The beach is going down a few steps and the best part is that there is almost no one so it was practically for us alone ! Pantera, a friendly dog visited us every day, letting us pet him without any problems. Maria and German were the perfect complement since they were attentive to everything we needed! Visit Casa Sempre avanti, you won't regret it!

Sempre Avanti was a dream. It was the perfect way to ring in the new year! We fell in love with Sayulita and can't wait to come back. We felt so taken care of and comfortable the whole time we were there. The proximity to the beach was such a bonus, and the beach itself was absolutely stunning. We loved grilling by the pool, having coffee on the couches watching the whales and dolphins, and waking up to the gorgeous views. Scott, Maria, and German took such great care of us and made us feel so safe and happy! It was such a special trip : )

The house is located in a wonderful quiet beach. The view from the house is great and we really enjoyed the easy acces to the beach. Maria and German are great and we would highly recommend a pizza night, they are delicious! If you are looking for a holiday retreat Sempre Avanti is a good option. The only feedback is one bathroom was a bit smelly throughout our stay, but I am sure that is something that can be sorted. Still we really enjoyed our stay as we spent most time outdoors.

Host Response

Thanks for the feedback Lillian. We had a plumber over today and he put new chemicals in the septic so the odor is gone. Scott

Casa Sempre Avanti is simply stunning. It is the perfect stylish “Mexican Beach house”. We loved it! We spent most of the time on the pool deck and in the beautiful infinity pool watching the waves crash on the almost deserted beach infront of the property and watching the incredible sunsets. We wanted an isolated and safe place to celebrate a birthday and escape from humanity during Covid and Casa Sempre Avanti was absolutely perfect. We booked for 4 nights and ended up staying for 10. It was very hard to leave. The property has a beautiful friendly Pitbull dog that wanders thru regularly ( esp if he smells food!) and we miss him already. Scott, the owner, was an exceptional host. He was very friendly and replied promptly and thoroughly every time. We did not get to meet Maria or Herman as we requested full isolation and no service and it was given, but we will without doubt return to Casa Sempre Avanti and hope to try Marias cooking and meet them and Scott in the future. Gracias. Thank you for sharing your fabulous slice of paradise with us.

Scott was extremely accommodating and the staff was really hospitable and friendly. Beautiful house with amazing views. Scott has a Can Am which is basically an ATV available to rent at an additional cost and I would consider this a requirement to rent this to get to and from the house, otherwise it is not easily accessible. The only other surprise was that the house is further from town than it appears on the Airbnb map so keep this in mind if you want to be walking distance from town. Besides these things, the stay was amazing and we would definitely go back!

The place has an excellent location, the arrival is a bit complicated but following the instructions you can get there. It is very quiet, the architecture and design of the property are very well thought out, only the cleanliness of some areas such as the kitchen, pots, dishes, etc., and armchairs left much to be desired and in my opinion it does not correspond to a place so well thought out so the cost benefit ratio decreases. It seems to me that with renovation and careful cleaning it could be a highly recommended place, although in our case the expectation was not met. Even so, we had a very good stay due to the location and planning of the property.

Host Response

Thanks Jorge for the review and advice. We have been very busy since the Covid-19 quarantine and have not had a day off since mid-July for a good deep cleaning and to replace items. Thank you for your contribution as we closed the first week of September and all these issues have been resolved and updated.

We spend 3 nights in Casa Sempre Avanti and our experience was incredible. The place is exactly as described in AirBnB, spotless clean, very comfy, spatious, and relaxing. The two rooms will accommodate 2 small families with no problem. Access to the beach is within a very short walk, and the pool area has a convenient grill, and its own dining space. Additionally, German and Maria did everything at hand to make us feel at home during our stay, and communication with Scott was prompt and clear. We are definitively coming back to Sempre Avanti in the future. This is a great place to stay if you want a relaxing time with your family, away from the more tourist and crowded places along the Riviera de Nayarit.

House is very private, clean, nestled in the jungle and right on the beach. The caretakers are really nice and great cooks (best Pizza in Mexico!) and the whole area offers so much - surfing, climbing, horseback-riding, getting a massage at the house ;) Scott couldn't have been more helpful or responsive. Highly recommend Sempre Avanti!!

Sempre Avanti was fantastically good. For our family of four - it was very spacious, comfortable and extremely clean and well kept. It was the perfect mix for us of quiet (outside of town) but easy to hop into town for dinner, shopping or just hanging out. The beach in front is gorgeous with very, very little traffic on day to day basis. As other people have mentioned the road/creek is kind of a trip. You won’t believe that it is quite right - our rented Jeep handled with ease, but we saw motorcycles, small cars, everything blazing on through there without a problem - so it’s more fun once you’ve done it once! Herman and Maria are just the best - they took care of us at every turn. They are frequently available but never in the way. Maria’s food - it’s simple and fantastic- the sopitas and chilaquiles were among the best I’ve ever had. If we were less honest - we’d not leave a review so we didn’t have to compete for time again next year. Scott - as a host - was ridiculously responsive. If you have worries - don’t. Book with confidence- we had our sons 8 and 6 with us. Herman and Maria are all on site, Scott was when in country and Perro and Pantera (the dogs) were all checking things out and friendly. It was awesome - thanks Scott, Herman and Maria.

This is the beach paradise you were looking for. Scott's villa is perfectly situated on a beautiful secluded beach, accessed through a drive through jungle, yet just a few minutes away from the restaurants of Sayulita. Few places like this exist on the Mexican coast anymore, and we were thrilled to find this one. Beyond the setting, the house is very comfortable/well laid out & immaculate & the pool is fresh & clean. Scott is a wonderful host & Maria & German were terrific--they greeted us on arrival with Margaritas & Guacamole & their hospitality did not let up--we felt welcome & at home our entire stay. It was also reassuring to us that German & Maria live on a cottage (completely out of our way) on the compound. I live in Mexico, have vacationed on the beaches throughout the country for nearly twenty years, & would pick Scott's place as my first choice for my next vacation.

Sempre Avanti is a magical place, and perfect for a relaxing getaway that embraces the best things that the area has to offer: Beach, pool, outdoor living space, and all in a very modern, thought-out floor plan. Scott, the owner was very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. He insured that we got from town up the villa smoothly, and thoroughly explained all of the features of the home. The staff were amazing and available for us. Maria makes amazing food. German (pronounced Herman) went out of his way to help us when we needed him, and speaks near perfect English. The location is remote (which is also one of the great things about it), so be prepared to rent a car, or golf cart to get back and forth to town via a scenic jungle road. Though, once you're at the villa, you may not want to leave. I can't say enough great things about our stay and will definitely be back again. Thanks, Scott, German and Maria for an unforgettable stay.
