The house is beautiful, the location in Coyoacan is unbeatable with close access to downtown Coyoacan and Viveros. Gérardo and Ernesto were very kind and helpful. The library is just like the pictures. I would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, peaceful home in Coyoacán, one of the most historic and charming neighborhoods in Mexico City. The area feels truly special — founded in pre-Hispanic times and layered with centuries of Colonial history, colorful streets, and local life. The house itself is full of art and character, yet incredibly comfortable. It’s luminous, serene, thoughtfully maintained, and very well kept — the kind of space where you immediately relax and feel at home. The location couldn’t be better. It’s within walking distance of the iconic house of El Indio Fernández, the legendary Golden Age Mexican cinema figure, as well as beautiful centuries-old churches, the vibrant Coyoacán centro, cafés, markets, and Viveros de Coyoacán, an enormous green park and nursery with miles of tree-lined paths — perfect for long morning walks or quiet afternoons (it’s one of the largest green spaces in the area). The host was communicative, kind, and attentive throughout our stay.

Gerardo’s place is really gorgeous with the high ceilings, the big dimensions, the cozy and elegant wooden floors and ceiling beams and windows doors, the minimalist/modern decor in contrast with the colonial architecture plus the very beautiful and impactful modern celebrity art, it really feels special!! The library is another part of the house proper of family photo shoot. The bedroom are also very beautiful, clean, and comfortable, as well as the showers and towels. The kitchen is fine, and equipped, would have liked to find more condiments and better knives, as well as newer cutlery, one more roll of paper towels and napkins. Very walkable area. When you make your food shopping buy toilet paper as well because they only provide 1 roll per bathroom. Ernesto and Gerardo were very polite, knowledgeable, helpful. The beautiful calm cobblestone streets are also narrow so the 2 car garage saves the day for guests!! Would love to return there!!

The house is beautiful and very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed, clean and modern. The host was communicative and made check in ans check out very easy. The neighborhood is beautiful walkable and it was very quiet at night.

Casa Escondida is a beautiful and peaceful house in the middle of Coyoacan. It is walking distance to great restaurants and downtown Coyoacan. The house has great spaces and it is beautifully decorated with an hacienda feel and was able to fit all my family comfortably. Gerardo and Ernesto are really good hosts. We will be happy to return soon!

The rental is spectacular and definitely big enough for all 8 of us to spread out comfortably. We even always had enough hot water. The neighborhood is beautiful and it’s walking distance to Plaza Coyoacan and Mercado N. 89 Coyoacan. I highly recommend this place and would stay again and again!

In person Casa Escondida was even better that the listing and photos. Upon our arrival Ernesto met us and gave us a tour of the home. The entire house was spotless, all the linens and bedding were fresh and clean. There was plenty of HOT water and drinkable water was a bonus. House is in a great location - safe, quiet and walkable to restaurants, shopping and Coyoacan's Square. Was the best Airbnb experience I have had. Would stay again and highly recommend Casa Escondida.

This home is a beautiful colonial home in the heart of one of the most iconic colonias/neighborhoods of Mexico City it is truly an honor to be able to stay in the home and enjoy the neighborhood. Ernesto who welcomed us was exceptional in every way. Everyone we encountered in the neighborhood were kind and welcoming. There were plenty of great restaurants, cafes and of course the center of Coyoacan (an easy walk)

Everything was very good. Gerardo's attention was very accurate. The accommodation is very nice and very clean. Definitely highly recommended.

We chose this house to spend the holidays at the end of the year with the family (11 nights) and we had a great time. It is a very nice colonial style house, nicely decorated and with quality furniture. The mattresses good. The house is very nice. It's not cold in winter like old houses are. No noise. The location is perfect : 15 minutes to walk to the center of Coyoacan by pleasant old streets; 30 minutes to San Angel by a nice road or 10 minutes by car ; metro to go downtown. The place is quiet and safe. Communication with Gerardo and Ernesto, who lives there, was easy and pleasant; our guests were very flexible. For those who stay for several days, it should be noted that the equipment may be insufficient; for example there is no clothes washing machine; the dishware is washed by hand with cold water; the kitchen ustensils are the basics. But for those who do not want to cook there are no shortage of nice places to eat, a few steps from the house.

Everything was great

We stayed for a week and immersed ourselves in the beautiful surrounds of Coyoacan. Very comfortable and large beds, so many great spaces to relax in and felt secure and private. Easy walk into the main square in under 10 mins and plenty of very good coffee shops just a couple streets away. Would happily stay again for a group holiday.

The House is just like the images or better, the super clean and comfortable place, has privacy even though the staff who take care of the house lives right there, we were there for a festival that was celebrated at the Hermano Rodríguez Autodromo and it was super close to us, like 30 minutes away, the reception to the property was super friendly on the part of the staff who were at the time and very detailed in taking care of every corner of the house so that we could be super comfortable, I recommend it 100% if you are planning to be around Coyoacán or you are going to an event in the Sol forum and surroundings, I would come back without hesitation!
