LOVED IT! It's so cool to be surrounded by so much nature but also have all of the confort and amenities. Hot water almost feels like too much haha. The staff is also fantastic and really happy to help with anything. We were lucky to also have yoga classes with Rihanna while there which was a nice bonus. I need to come back ASAP.

What an amazing place to stay on Ometepe. As it is located in the forest, one night we had an Ant invasion taking over our cabin. The guys from the farm helped us right away, sprayed some vinegar and gave us another cabin as it takes time for the ants to leave. They explained that they don’t use poison to kill them, they just destroy their ways with vinegar so they leave one by one. Pretty awesome. It was a bit of a hustle as we just wanted to go to bed but it’s still nature and it happens sometimes. We still felt comfortable here and can really recommend this place. I will definitely come back here!

Very nice stay!

Our favourite Central American stay! The property is stunningly beautiful and luxurious nestled in the jungle surrounded by wildlife. The rooms are immaculately clean, tastefully decorated and well-ventilated, complete with thoughtful amenities like a water filter. Breakfast was a highlight, featuring a point system to create your own meal. It was a welcome change from months of local cuisine, especially the delicious sausages and bacon. The staff were incredibly helpful and mostly spoke good English. We had a minor issue with a guest taking some of our birthday cake from the fridge but the staff quickly made it right by offering free cake from their restaurant and even upgraded our room to one with a beautiful view of Concepcion Volcano. Their caring and thoughtful service truly stood out and was some of the best we’ve experienced on our Central American trip. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and we highly recommend Selvista/Bambouserie!

spectacular stay, so so peaceful and the vibes were immaculate. we booked last minute after planning a day trip to ometepe. if you follow the instructions precisely it is easy to find, and the accommodations are amazing. i’d love to stay in one of the bigger treehouses next time! you can reserve a prix fix dinner that is thoughtfully prepared and very delicious. over all, one of the best “glamping” experiences i’ve had. also booked a private massage last minute that they do on your balcony and it was amazing. highly recommend!

This place was far beyond our expectations. I would describe this place as more of a retreat as there are so many amazing amenities, the staff are attentive, the hosts are very accommodating. We were able to organize rides through them very easily, which made our stay in a new country so much more reassuring. The food at the restaurant was very good as well. But, the most incredible part was waking up to the sounds of birds and the faint noise of howler monkeys in the distance. Im truly surprised this place was available on short notice, as they deserve to be fully booked well ahead of time.

Omg this place was a dream! So peaceful and absolutely stunning inside and out. Our lil oasis in the trees has the best views and was so clean and spacious, the staff do an incredible job of creating a lovely, tranquil, and restful environment. I had to work a bit but the wifi ended up being incredibly dependable, and the space, while a bit removed from the main road (only a hassle without a vehicle), was really close to Raindance (the famous wet Wednesday hostel) and a few lovely restaurants! Would recommend to anyone visiting!!

The staff were incredible. The food was incredible. The place was incredible. The only issue we had was the actual bungalow's location, which is not disclosed in the description, but rather "mentioned" in the photos. The bungalow overlooks the restaurant kitchen which is busy from 6:00 am until 9:30 pm. Not a big deal, but definitely didn't give the feeling of privacy. We did speak with the manager about this and she said she would add it to the description. The experience overall was epic! We would definitely go back. I can't stress enough how wonderful the staff were!

We loved our treehouse at Christmas. Very cozy spot, would recommend it for sure. The shower was a treat a little cool and a good way to get refreshed after a hot day. Megan and Evelyn were very sweet and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and we really enjoyed the fresh fruit that was available in the basket. We had scooters rented for the week and that’s how we got around the island. Really cool island!!

Very beautiful place to stay on the island! Loved that you can enjoy all of the fruits & coconuts of the farm. It was also very interesting to walk around the property and see the farm on all of it's glory. Jackfruit was great! The cabin is very nice and the bed very good. The restaurant kitchen is close to this cabin so you get some noise and light at night from there but that didn't bother me that much. The breakfast was pretty good, I liked how it tasted but it could be a bit bigger portion sizes. Overall I enjoyed my stay here a lot.

This stay was absolute perfection. We came to stay on this beautiful farm for just few days of our honeymoon in Nicaragua, and as soon as we arrived, we knew we wanted to come back. The accommodations themselves are super comfortable and unique -- you are in the middle of the jungle listening to the sounds of howler monkeys, but you have hot water and super soft sheets. The property is phenomenal -- we loved hanging out with the pups and exploring the flora and fauna of the farm. The meals at the on-site restaurant, including the breakfasts included with the stay, were delicious and fresh, and we actually ended up eating all our dinners there as well. Megan, Mitch, and the rest of the amazing staff were so helpful with getting us taxis booked and arranging for a 4x4 to be brought to the property for us to rent, as well as booking an excursion to go kayaking on the River Istian (definitely do that!). This will be a stay we will remember forever.

The stay was very nice and in the middle of nature. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and we felt very comfortable.

La Palmera was such a beautiful stay. The treehouse was beautiful and the hosts Mitch and Michelle were awesome! Before we arrived, Michelle gave us the option to pick one of their pre-fixed menus to eat for dinner when we arrived. The food was outstanding and the service was very very good. The treehouse itself was incredibly clean and serene. The shower was cooler water but it’s actually really refreshing since it gets so hot out there! We loved this stay and would definitely return again :)

It was such a unique experience! I loved being up in the air among the trees surrounded by nature! The staff was so helpful and attentive! Delivered everything to the treehouse at my request and were always accessible! It was such a great feeling to be surrounded by nature and at the same time have modern comforts! I got the best of both words! Although I did take advantage and disconnected for a while which was easy to do in the best way! I definitely will be returning and sharing this experience with a guest or two!

An incredibly well-curated experience for enthusiasts of cloud forest nature, volcano views, and phenomenal food. The hosts and all staff were always kind, courteous, and helpful. The property is magical, extending from the road up to Finca Magdalena's rainforest reserve: you can hike up to Volcano Maderas starting right at Selvista's restaurant, Zapote. We appreciated the help with ATV rentals and loved the vegetarian option of Zapotes's set price menu to round off our last evening. Would stay there again 💯

the Pitanga house was really nice with a stunning view of the volcano and sunset. we really enjoyed the jungle vibes a lot and the fresh fruit you can eat around the property. also the room feels really private and the shower was nice! the mosquito net in the bed unfortunately had holes which led to some restless nights since there were a lot of mosquitos and ants in the bed. I guess this goes to show how much in nature you are. all in all a cool stay. the price was quite high though.

We had an incredibly unique experience staying in this treehouse. The property felt like a jungle playground, full of little gems, wildlife, and endless spots to explore. During our stay, we hiked the Conception volcano and kayaked the Istian River, both unforgettable adventures. Most of our meals were at the on-site restaurant, which was fabulous. The dogs were an absolute delight. We stayed for two nights but definitely wish we had more time! Just a heads up: there’s no hot water in this room, but after a hot day, the cold shower is refreshing way to cool down!

Best place to stay on Ometepe! Really well run and organized. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful and the photos really don’t do justice to the beautiful view you will have of conceptíon volcano from your private balcony! The restaurant is amazing and delicious, definitely try the traditional Pinolillo! The staff are amazing, helpful and friendly. Any tour or transportation you want can be arranged through them, they even helped us arrange a taxi on the mainland to take us to our next destination after leaving the island.

Arrival was tedious as the wrong address was on Airbnb and the name did not match. As a result, we could hardly find the accommodation because the signage is inadequate. In addition, the landlady was not available for 1.5 hours. Once you have arrived, the location in the jungle is a great experience. You see a lot of animals and are awakened by howler monkeys – just wonderful. The cool nights made air conditioning superfluous. However, a big drawback is that there is only ice-cold water, which was not mentioned anywhere before. If we had known, we probably wouldn't have booked the place. The breakfast needs improvement: Despite the beautiful view, we waited 40 minutes for coffee and fried eggs, although there were more staff than guests. We left out dinner because the menu had little to do with regional cuisine and instead put on "fancy" dishes. Vietnamese coffee on an organic farm in Nicaragua?

We loved our stay here, it had a real jungle feel but we felt comfortable and loved the cabin. The staff were all very friendly and helpful through out, we felt very welcome. The shared kitchen was a lovely space and we tried some delicious fresh fruit. The breakfast included was delicious, but we did miss the rice and beans for fuel for the day if you’re doing some hiking etc. We rented ATVs and had a taxi to and from the port, this was all easy to organise with staff and made the trip stress free. The only suggestion we had would be to have the ATV rental times a bit more flexible, we arrived at 3pm and would have been charged the full $65 to rent one for the afternoon, which seemed a lot for just a few hours as we had one from 8am the next day. I do recommend having one for the stay though as it made it easy to explore the island and was really fun. We enjoyed Balgüe which had some lovely restaurants and it was a great base to explore. We would be delighted to stay here again.

Wow this place is beautiful! It has the most incredible view of both volcanoes. The hut is super clean and lovely and comfortable. It’s really tucked away in nature. The restaurant is great and the staff were helpful. They organised a really great guide for me to climb Maderas and made me lunch for the hike. It’s one of my favourite places I’ve ever stayed!

Cute treehouse on a permaculture farm on Ometepe Island. Definitely a natural experience, you should be aware of that. We had a wonderful stay here for 4 nights, in the rain it can get louder because tin roof, otherwise it's really a little oasis. The insect visit is very limited and was easy to trade. There is also a restaurant on the premises that tastes good food. A shared kitchen with very basic amenities is also available. Communication with the hosts went smoothly, as well as the transfer to and from the port. Balgue is a great base for any activities. We would definitely come back.

Selvista is in a great spot on Ometepe for many of the major attractions! It’s right on the foot of Maderas, and there are plenty of ways to get around to do other activities. We kayaked and rented bicycles both arranged by Selvista and thoroughly enjoyed both! The highlight of staying here has to be the staff around the property and in the restaurant, the younger local lads were so friendly and went out of their way to provide an amazing experience. We stayed in the treehouse - obviously this is a wooden cabin right in the middle of nature so you are going to get bugs but we weren’t overrun!

We stayed for a few days in the tree house and the staff, accomondations were amazing. Really outlooking, friendly and super helpful with every question we had. They can take care of everything, a little pricier as if you would do it yourself, but you do not have to bother this way. It was really nice waking up to the sounds of the djungle and rain drops on the roof, while laying cozy in your super comfortable bed. It was a realy nice experience.

We had an amazing stay. The staff was really polite and caring. We recommand!

We had a very unique stay in this Ometepe treehouse! It was amazing waking up to the sounds of monkeys and exotic birds. We did stay at a very hot time of year (late May) so the heat was tough, but they do supply a fan and the breeze at night comes through the screen walls. It was so cool to be surrounded by the jungle, although the walls are mostly screens, we still felt safe and secure in the off the ground treehouse! It has an awesome restaurant up the hill with an insane view of the Concepción volcano! Balgüe is a great place to stay on the island if you want to be close to San Ramon Waterfall hike and in between the 2 volcanoes but in a peaceful area. We rented scooters from the port and didn't have any problem scootering about an hour directly to the airbnb. The driveway is definitely a bit bumpy but nothing a crossover scooter can't handle! Be prepared to be living the jungle life as there are plenty of large insects and small lizards hanging out in/around the room - no harm!

+ Great treehouse, sustainably designed with everything you need + The facility is amazing, with lots of tropical animals + Shared kitchen with large fruit basket (free) and the fridge is always full of drinks (basis of trust) + Restraunt (Selvista) with great view of the volcano and groceries right from the farm - The bungalow was hard to find. The instructions in the text should be revised and also a sign with "La Palmera" placed directly at the bungalow (as with the other two) - The pigs are quite "aggro", especially opposite motorcycles/noise - A small fridge in the cabin would be great - Unfortunately, the tour to learn more about the facility and permaculture was a bit inflexible from the times - The way to Balgue stretches and through barking dogs in the evening we dared no further -> we had to eat at the hotel restaurant every evening - Breakfast could be faster (we waited 30 min for coffee

Very unique experience - I would recommend this 100%. * Clean, private space, net for the bed was great. The restaurant was a big highlight with awesome food and an unforgettable view. * Staff was so helpful and nice. *Fresh coconuts + fruit in community kitchen available for free. * breakfast that was included was great * We rented an ATV which was dropped at the port for us when we arrived. We paid to fill up the gas at the Airbnb before leaving-very helpful. * ONLY downfall is large spiders- but I survived LOL and we are living in their territory so it's to be expected
