The Bukala Village was an excellent place to stay in La Fortuna. We enjoyed the private and peaceful surroundings, while also being in close proximity to the town's center and attractions. We enjoyed the farm and amenities on the property. It was also a real treat to have the home cleaned up and eggs delivered during our stay. The home itself had what we needed and was comfortable, but was not as updated as we were expecting. We didn't really see other residents or the owners, so it still felt private. Thanks to other reviews we were tipped off to the nearby restaurants (pizza & Terraza 86) which were great and very family-friendly. Overall, we recommend--especially for families.

Mandi’s place was absolutely amazing! Everything was spotless and very well kept—you can tell she really cares about her guests’ experience. The jacuzzi was a huge highlight and made our stay even more relaxing. What really stood out was how she went above and beyond—on short notice, she even helped get our clothes washed, which we truly appreciated.

We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this home. From start to finish, everything from check in to check out went smoothly. We felt secure within the gated units. The home was tidy and clean, the beds comfortable and the jacuzzi a nice touch. I really enjoyed the blossoming tree with pink flowers that attracted hummingbirds, the fresh eggs we cooked for breakfast, the beautiful flowers and garden along the stream, and the tiny farm with 2 friendly goats, chickens and rabbits. A couple of minutes away, there’s a convenience store, a pizza spot and a restaurant and a few minutes further down and great small coffee spot. Thank you Magdi and team!

Fantastic place and great location. Comfortable. Layout was great. The grounds were exceptional. Kids loved the area including the pool and farm. Very relaxing. Pizza place down the road was excellent. Would highly recommend this place

Loved the space. Loved the outdoor deck. Beautifully landscaped. Goats and chickens were fun and kids loved them. Loved the fresh farm eggs everyday. Very responsive host.

We had a lovely stay at the Bukala Village Lodge. Villa Heliconias was squeaky clean and well equipped. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the farm animals were a delight. We especially loved the friendly goats. Fresh farm eggs were delivered to our villa. La Fortuna is about a 15 minute drive and is packed with restaurants, bars and shops. There is lots to explore nearby in the greater La Fortuna and Arenal area. Magdi was an attentive and thoughtful host. We would definitely stay here again, if in the area!

Situated in its private garden alongside a running creek, our private hot tub gave us beautiful views of nature. We were far enough from town for serenity yet close enough to start our adventures to the volcano, rafting, birdwatching, and the Pura Vida that Costa Rica offers.
