The Space

Welcome to Surf's Up, a renovated condo in Villa Verde Dos, ideal for your beach getaway. Located just a five-minute walk from Tamarindo Beach, this unit offers everything needed for a comfortable stay. The condo is fully air-conditioned and includes private bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, beach gear, and various thoughtful extras to enhance your experience.

The condo comfortably accommodates four guests with two bedrooms, each featuring a private bathroom and individual air conditioning. The master bedroom includes a balcony overlooking the garden and blackout blinds for sleeping in or afternoon naps.

The main floor is bright and spacious, containing the kitchen, laundry room, living room, and a half bathroom.

Kitchen and Living Area

The kitchen is fully stocked with:

• Dishes and drinkware
• Pots and pans
• Cutlery and cooking utensils
• Coffee maker and coffee press
• Toaster
• Blender
• Rice cooker
• Full-sized stove and refrigerator

A pub table with cushioned chairs provides a cozy spot for meals or games.

The living room offers two comfortable loveseats, perfect for relaxing after a day at the beach. Guests can enjoy the Smart TV with digital cable or use the dedicated WiFi to stay connected.

A balcony accessible from the living room features a propane barbecue and a cushioned bench, ideal for enjoying morning coffee while listening to birds.

The laundry room, located just off the kitchen, includes a full-sized washer and dryer for your exclusive use, along with laundry detergent provided.

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

Upstairs, both bedrooms have bright, airy spaces with queen beds. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom and personal air conditioning. The master bedroom’s balcony overlooks the garden and is equipped with blackout blinds for added comfort.

Linens, towels, cleaning supplies, and paper products are supplied for all short-term rentals.

Please note that the unit is situated on the third and fourth floors of the building and is accessible via exterior stairs.

Location and Complex Amenities

Villa Verde Dos is a secure, gated community located a short five-minute walk from the beautiful Tamarindo Beach. The complex offers:

• Two swimming pools with lounge chairs
• Two shaded palapas with seating
• Free parking within the complex
• Free street parking

Guest Access

The complex is secured with a locked gate. The condo has a unique access code that changes with each guest, which will be provided before arrival.

Guests are welcome to use all items inside the unit, including condiments, oils, and spices. You are encouraged to leave any extra condiments or spices for future guests.

Please note that access to the owner’s lock-up is not permitted. The owner’s surfboard and kayak are stored in the unit but are not available for guest use.

Important Notes

Energy and Water Conservation

To promote responsible air conditioner use, discounted rates for stays longer than four weeks include up to 700 kWh of electricity (approximately US$150). Any usage beyond this will be charged to guests. This allowance supports reasonable use of air conditioning and the dryer.

Due to local septic systems, toilet paper must not be flushed. Instead, dispose of it in the trash.

Guanacaste Province experiences droughts from December to April, often resulting in rolling water shutoffs. The property has a backup water tank, but guests are asked to conserve water by:

• Turning off faucets when brushing teeth or washing dishes
• Reusing towels
• Avoiding unnecessary laundry loads
• Reporting leaks or running toilets immediately

Power and internet outages may occasionally occur; your patience is appreciated during these times.

Insects and Wildlife

As a tropical location, occasional insects such as ants may be present indoors. If you notice a significant number, please inform us so we can address it. Outdoor ants play an important role in the environment, so it’s best to leave them undisturbed.

Bugs inside do not indicate poor cleanliness. Cockroaches here differ from those in North America; they are solitary and do not form infestations. Cockroach spray is available on the property if needed.

Please do not leave food or garbage outside, as raccoons and skunks may tear through trash. All garbage must be securely bagged, tied, and placed in the designated garbage house near unit #17. Ensure the door is closed to keep wildlife out.
