The apartment is a stunning place. A really nice separation between sleeping and living area. There were a few issues that were solved almost immediately. Communication was excellent, positive, friendly and proactive. I would highly recommend this apartment. You won’t be disappointed.

The accommodation is within a beautiful residential complex with carefully monitored entrances, surrounded by lush vegetation, and located about 2 km from the center of Playa del Carmen. Although it is central, it is still preferable to have a car for getting around. The house is large and comfortable, but like all properties, it needs maintenance that takes into account the climatic and environmental conditions in which it is located. In our case, there was no periodic cleaning or linen change during the stay. In the absence of a washing machine, the host reimbursed the costs of the poor-quality laundry located right in front of the reception. The co-host team was super quick to respond and accommodating in resolving minor issues. The property offers many options for a great vacation. This was our second time staying at AWA and we intentionally chose a first floor condo this time for close and easy access to the pool. The condo itself was very nice, exactly like the photos. The condo is well furnished and felt like home for our week long stay. The amenities of AWA are what brought us back for a second trip- we enjoy the gym, easy parking, walkability to restaurants, and the convenience of the OXXO across the street. However, AWA has a new property management company compared to our last stay and their over enforcement of rules at the pool was off-putting. We were told our pool float was too big and we couldn’t have our drinks (which had lids) resting on the ledge of the pool. I hope the new management company relaxes on this so that guests can enjoy their vacation.

Our stay at Xavier’s was absolutely peaceful, tranquil and lovely. From the four cervezas that welcomed us in the fridge to the quick check out at the lobby, we loved our stay . Xavier’s team Responded quickly to any questions. A real plus. The pool, the gym, the rental Unit, and the onsite pool side bar and restaurant were all well tended to and super clean. If you are looking for a place that’s away from The playa del carmen noise and clatter this may be your place.

I went with my family, and we felt super comfortable; the place is exactly as shown in the photos. The pool is used to the fullest. Both the bedrooms and the bathrooms are spacious and spotless. I would definitely come back.

AWA is easily one of the best places to stay in Playa del Carmen. It’s perfectly located—just far enough from the busy city center to enjoy some peace and quiet, but still only a 5–10 minute walk to everything. The gated community of Playacar adds an extra layer of security and peace of mind, and the area itself is beautiful, with plenty of great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The whole community feels like a little paradise. The room was excellent—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The kitchen was especially nice (I just wish I had more time to actually use it). The terrace was a relaxing spot to unwind, and having the pool just steps away was a huge bonus. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen.
