The accommodation is a real paradise in the middle of coffee plantations among other crops, isolated but safe with the proximity of René and his family, who take care of welcoming us and the house and live nearby. It remains a place that is only accessible by 4×4, and you have to follow Irène's instructions to the letter to get there. You also have to allow 1.5 to 2 hours to go to the exceptional Nauyaca waterfall and for excursions in the Marina Ballena Park, during which we saw a mother and her baby. But it's really worth it for the scenery along the way and for the beautiful, all-wood, very well-equipped property. We felt great there. We also had dinner, which allowed us to eat very well without having to cook. René brought us eggs from his chickens and bananas from the garden. In short, we highly recommend this getaway in the middle of the real Costa Rica!

This amazing place is far from everything! We had booked two nights, but it was only one because we had to turn around when we tried to drive there the first time. It started to rain heavily and we had taken the wrong road, which meant we didn't get there before it got dark! Start early and 4WD is a must! The road to the property is really challenging. We tried to follow the directions but at first did not understand that it is a MUST to start in San Isidro. It's not possible to drive via Uvita as we tried. The place is divine, but best suited for adults who want a quiet place to recover. There were some walking trails, but they were relatively short, and some of them would need to be inspected and cleared a bit. We did not do any other activities on the farm as we had already stayed at another farm house. However, we tried the evening meal prepared by the Salvadoran couple. If you don't, you have to bring food because there's nothing to buy there! Do you have picky kids like us? Just order for the adults and cook for the kids yourselves!

The directions are as described in the advertisement. Google Maps leads you directly to the accommodation. Four-wheel drive is definitely necessary, and you should not drive even in heavy rain. The place was clean, very large and spacious. The three of us had Finca Anjala to ourselves. It is in an absolutely quiet location and perfect for unwinding, relaxing and simply exploring the area. We also had an additional fly screen for the bed. We would also strongly recommend that. Another plus for us was that the soaps provided were sustainable and scented with essential oils. We definitely recommend booking breakfast and dinner as well. Because the food is a spectacle in itself. Super delicious and definitely enough for everyone. It was the little things that made the stay wonderful, such as the farmer simply picking us up in the morning to feed the chickens. That made our little one very happy. Thank you 🤗

Let's start with the good part: it's a beautiful location and very clean. This is a very unique property in a secluded location. However, the road is extremely hard to access; it's an unpaved road with a steep slope on the side of a cliff. You need to be very skilled with off-road driving and have an appropriate vehicle. We got stuck trying to get there and had to tip one of the locals to drive us up the mountain. Host was not present, chat support provides useless AI answers (e.g., "Are you stuck with your car? So sorry... call your insurance."). The local staff are nice and kind, but they don't know a word of English. You are quite dependent on them, so you had better speak Spanish. It's really out in the wild—if you get sick or injured, you're on your own. My family and I were attacked by a massive bee swarm and leaf-cutter ants on the property. We had to leave early to seek medical attention. The host ignored us throughout this ordeal, but luckily, Airbnb refunded us.

Great stay at the Finca. Cabin was comfortable. Our son loved tending to the animals. Trails were the right amount of challenging. Unfortunate that the kids zipline was broken, but otherwise all was as advertised.

We have stayed at several Airbnbs and none compare to this one. The location is secluded and beautiful. The farm is a beautiful piece of property. René and Digna were great hosts. René went out of his way to show the kids where a sloth was in a tree, feed the chickens, play with the dog Scott, and lead us to the cheese making activity. Digna's food was always timely, authentic, and wonderful. We were never short on enough for our family of 6. My kids loved petting the cats and dog. Digna showed us how to make tortillas and René helped us make sugar cane juice. We got to milk the goat and drink the milk. René was so patient with us as we tried to understand what he was saying and repeating it to use a translator app if necessary. He is such a happy guy. The beds are super comfortable. Each morning we woke up to the sounds of so many birds. We also took two hikes while we were there. The trails are very well marked. The waterfall was a beautiful view. We would definitely stay again.

Private stay up in the mountains! Relaxing, tranquil and right in the jungle! Close to nature! Lots of jungle and farm noises. Rustic, open air, clean and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed and it even had hot water for showers! Great for a rustic cabin type stay in nature! My daughter loved the animals! We loved the hike to the waterfall and swam in the water there. Hosts were helpful and kind.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but when a place truly surpasses your expectations, you have to. If you enjoy a peaceful environment, nature, and quality time, this is the place for you. And if you have kids, they will make priceless memories here. I admire the owner, Irene, so much. Seeing her vision, her hard work to build this farm, and her deep love and respect for nature is truly inspiring. Very few places allow nature to lead and build around it in such a thoughtful way, creating an unforgettable experience. The food was wonderful, and her employees are so respectful, kind, and always happy to help and show you around. Irene, thank you so much for this amazing experience.

Rene and his wife made the trip for us. They spoiled us and our children with the right amount of attention and help. Bonus for us that we didn't realize until the last day was that we were the only ones... There are two rentals here and the public areas are divided by only a beautiful display of huge tropical plants so not super private and if the others were noisy and rowdy you'd be in the party without being part of the party. I honestly expected to find more things trying to eat us there, but the end of dry season was relatively bug-free. The whole place was incredibly safe and secure and I didn't worry at all about our kids wandering around the place. We were there beginning of February during the dry season. The waterfalls are beautiful and water was calm and safe. It wouldn't be the same if it rained and I would be more cautious especially with kids. It's a steep climb up and down and small kids will demand to be carried up the mountain.
