The Waterfall Home #1 | MUST have 4x4 vehicle

This is a beautiful private retreat in a wonderful property. It certainly feels remote and you’ll definitely need that 4x4, but if you’re looking for tranquility, tremendous staff and a place to relax then this is a great option. It’s a simple, lovely accommodation. No frills, but everything you need. The beautiful private grounds with the hikes to the waterfall and river are top notch - and a great workout. If you’re fit and al enjoy adventure, definitely check out the hikes on property!

The location was stunningly quiet and we felt immersed in the beauty of the forest. The river was crystal clear and great for swimming. The groundsman who looked after the plantation was so kind and showed us around, maki ng sure we could find the trails etc. Thank you for a wonderful few days, we felt very blessed.

This is a hidden gem! The place is located a 10-min drive from La Tigra and you will need a 4x4 for this trip - it is quite the adventure (which we even manage to do by night and in the pouring rain) but worth every little bump on the road. When we arrived Jose picked us up in the city center and took us to the Airbnb, showed and explained everything to us. You can walk down to a waterfall and river which is a truly tranquil and calm place as you will have it all to your own. One of the best places we been to in Costa Rica. There is always a groundskeeper on site, so you are never alone in the wilderness which made us feel super safe. We were also shown around the property, showcasing all the plants, animals, etc. I would highly recommend staying here if you are willing to drive around 30min to La Fortuna and don’t mind a bit of an adventure - the reward is breathtaking.
