I spent 9 nights over the New Year's holiday with some friends and it was so lovely! The apartment is in a prime location-- so many restaurants and shops right outside your doorstep. With that being said, just a note to other travelers that the neighborhood is VERY lively at all hours. It's LOUD. Just bring earplugs to sleep in ;) We didn't have the pleasure of meeting German or Alvaro in person but they were always so helpful with local recommendations and any questions. Jairo, who works in the building is also so friendly and helpful and hooked us up with local taxi drivers or anything we needed. He was also so patient with my broken Spanish :) The building is historical and so pretty. The Wifi was fast, the A/C cold, and the showers hot. I highly recommend staying here if you want a real authentic experience and to be in the center of everything in Cartagena. Muchas Gracias!!

German was very warm and friendly. He took the time to walk through the property, tell us about local places to visit, offered contact information for others that could help our stay be more adventurous and fulfilling. We have German on our personal contact list and have already recommended him to both friends and family that will be visiting Cartagena. Thank you German!

My friends and I stayed here for 5 nights to attend a wedding that was held directly across the street. We loved the apartment and cooled off in the pool almost every day. The apartment was very clean and got nice and cold at night with the AC units aimed at each bed. The location in the walled city was great and it was only a few minute walk to multiple restaurants, bars, and shopping (our favorite brunch and coffee was at Epoca). Communications with German were great and his brother Alvaro met me when I arrived to hand me the keys and show me around. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the walled city and have a more authentic experience compared to staying at a hotel.

We have stayed in airbandb spots for many years in several countries, and no host has been as good as German. No location has been better. The happiest of vacations. Just landed home and we already miss it.

We really enjoyed our stay at German’s place. It was spotless, beautiful, comfortable and full of character. German and his uncle were very available for any questions. The neighborhood is central with lots to do. The pool was more for dunking than swimming, and we felt lucky to each have our own bathroom. The shower wasn’t consistently hot, but Cartagena was, and we were happy. Also, Jairo who works in the building was unfailingly helpful. Highly recommend!

The hospitality is 5 star. The uniqueness of the historic building on a popular street is 5 star. I gave an overall review of 4 instead of 5 stars because the upstairs bedrooms were cramped - especially the one with 2 beds. Cartegena has a lively night life and the street noise . . . well, another reviewer said to bring earplugs.
