The Space
Zen Resort is where the rainforest meets the beach on beautiful Playa Chiquita. Located just 200 meters from the ocean and situated in the heart of Playa Chiquita, this exotic tropical villa is nestled within lush, enclosed gardens beside one of Costa Rica's most stunning beaches.
The large Zen Villa features sliding French doors in the living room and bedrooms that open onto a covered patio, inviting the tropical surroundings inside. An outdoor covered living area offers the choice to lounge or dine alfresco. Wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, toucans, and parrots frequently visit the gardens.
Adjacent to the master bedroom is a beautiful open-air Bali-style bathroom. Additionally, there is a separate full bathroom with a second shower. The master bedroom includes a king-size bed and sliding doors that lead to the pool area. The second and third bedrooms each have queen beds and share a spacious bathroom with a shower. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning units to ensure a comfortable and restful sleep.
Zen Resort is custom-built and professionally decorated, offering a private, beautiful, and luxurious rental option in Costa Rica.
Additional Villas
Zen Resort also includes two other villas, Bodhi and Nirvana, each with their own infinity pool, kitchen, and large luxury bathroom. Each villa has two bedrooms with queen beds, and one bedroom features a loft.
The Zen House and the two villas can be rented separately or together, providing a total of seven bedrooms. This setup is ideal for large groups, family vacations, couples, and more.

I went with my family and we had a great time. We enjoyed the pool and the beach just a few meters away. The space is very, very spacious. We could hear the howler monkeys, the macaws, and the frogs. Thank you very much for everything. ✨

Beautiful private stay! Toucans, monkeys and agouti seen from our porch! Grocery/bodega right across the street! Able to see urchins and anemone from our beach at low tide Enjoyed our stay! Kitchens are well stocked for cooking in

If you are traveling to the Puerto Viejo area with a large group, this is the perfect spot to stay! It’s a short distance from everything you need and the hosts were really helpful in getting bikes delivered for all of us as well as making suggestions of things to do in the area. The property is absolutely gorgeous and we saw plenty of little jungle creatures wander through! We can’t thank the hosts enough for helping to create such a magical vacation for all of us! Gracias and pura vida!!
