The Space
WaveSong Villa is a serene 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom residence offering expansive views of the ocean and jungle near Dominical and Uvita. This classic Spanish-style home features vaulted wood ceilings, a well-equipped kitchen, and an open floor plan surrounded by nature, making it ideal for families, couples, or groups of friends.
The villa includes:
- Five bedrooms, each with a private bathroom and air conditioning
- Two king bedrooms
- Three queen bedrooms
- Three bedrooms open onto ocean-view porches
- One bedroom opens to the pool area
- The master suite has a private deck nestled among trees, where monkeys often visit
Inside, guests will find comfortable living spaces furnished with new pieces, a smart TV, and ample room for gathering. The kitchen is fully stocked and includes a pass-through window to the pool area, offering one of the best sink views available.
Outside amenities include:

- Two long covered porches with rocking chairs
- A grill for outdoor cooking
Wildlife sightings are common, with toucans, parrots, monkeys, and even migrating whales visible from the property. WaveSong Villa provides a peaceful retreat to relax, observe nature, and enjoy stunning coastal panoramas—a perfect spot to unwind and embrace pura vida.
Guest Access
Guests have exclusive access to the entire house through a private gate.
A separate apartment next door is also available for rent. It features:
- One king bedroom
- One bathroom
- A small kitchen
- Incredible views
This apartment can be rented independently or added to the main house rental for larger groups. When rented separately, apartment guests do not have access to the pool, which remains private for main house guests.
Additional Information
- A signed rental agreement is required as part of the booking process.
- Juan, the local handyman, visits twice weekly to maintain the pool and landscaping.
- There is no onsite staff beyond these visits.
- Hosts are available 24/7 via message or text. In-person assistance may require additional time to arrange.
- Power outages are occasional in this area, typically brief but sometimes longer. Candles and battery-powered lights are provided. The internet should automatically reconnect after power is restored.
- A four-wheel drive (4WD) or all-wheel drive (AWD) vehicle is necessary due to a steep gravel road leading to the house. This road is marked as 4WD only just before the driveway.
- For comfort and safety throughout Costa Rica, renting an AWD or 4WD vehicle is recommended.
- Two security cameras are installed on the property: one near the main house front door and another by the apartment stairs. Both cameras remain active.

My friend group absolutely loved our stay here. Jim and Amy’s home was beautiful and peaceful. The view is stunning. We were able to see lots of wildlife including whales, toucans and monkeys. There is a lot to do within a close distance, many beaches and also a waterfall that was not very busy and easy to get to. Overall we loved our stay and hope to visit again. We would highly recommend this home if you are visiting CR and looking for adventure.

This home truly surpassed expectations. We extended our stay in Costa Rica last-minute and needed a place quickly. Although it was initially unavailable until the next day, the hosts went out of their way to accommodate us early, which made a huge difference. The home and property were impeccable—clean, well-equipped, and set in an incredible location with breathtaking views. The wildlife alone made the stay unforgettable: howler monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds, geckos, frogs, and so much more right outside the door. We were out exploring most days, but coming back always felt like something special. With views like that, I imagine whale sightings are possible too. We would absolutely return. Thank you for an amazing stay.

This place is perfect for multiple couples. We had 4 couples stay for 9 nights and the space was great. Beautiful views, gorgous pool, many spacious, comfortable common areas, large well stocked kitchen for cooking. We saw a sloth, Toucans and whales from the balcony. This place does not disappoint!!

The house is as beautiful as the pictures. It's a great base from which to explore the beautiful southern Pacific coast. We visited waterfalls, beaches and mountains without having to make long drives. If you are adventurous this is the place for you.

10 out of 10! I highly recommend the Villa. The view is stunning, it is peaceful and has absolutely everything you may need - including boogie boards and a cooler for the beach. There were wonderful beaches and restaurants nearby, and lots to do if you choose to. Lounging by the pool is also nice!

This place is a absolute paradise! We can’t wait to return. Lots of wildlife right out the back door. Pictures don’t do it justice. The home was extremely inviting, clean and well maintained. Communications with the hosts were great. Highly recommend this property.

Our family had an incredible time at Wavesong Villa, surpassing our expectations and making the drive worthwhile. The breathtaking views, comfort, and ample space made it an ideal base for exploring the area. The very detailed directions were crucial in helping us find the villa despite arriving after sunset. Their recommendations were also very helpful in planning our daily adventures. Our 10-year-old son, an animal lover, was thrilled to spot a sloth near our balcony our first morning there! (Something we learned can be very rare especially for untrained eyes) And another morning we saw white-faced capuchin monkeys in the trees by the pool. These wildlife encounters, along with stunning sunrises and the sounds of the rainforest, made our mornings special. We only wished we could have stayed longer. Wavesong Villa exceeded our expectations, and we highly recommend it for a memorable vacation.

This was an amazing place to stay. The home had a true Costa Rica feel to it. The home was clean and had all of the amenities we needed to enjoy our stay. The bedrooms cooled off immediately to enjoy a nights sleep and the open floor plan and wide atrium doors allowed us to enjoy the outdoors all day long. The pool was clean, easy to access, and relax in while viewing the ocean and enjoying visits from the Costa Rica wildlife all day long. We were visited by all the amazing birds you could think of. From toucans to macaws. Parador’s to humming birds. So many cool birds and colorful birds to listen and view. From the balcony we saw whales splashing in the ocean several of the days and the home comes with a great set of binoculars. Easy access to local attractions and grocery stores. This place was all you need to enjoy, relax, and feel the pura vida vibes. Thank you for an amazing stay for our family of 8!
