Studio in San Pedro

This place is absolutely a hidden gem, located away from the hustle & bustle - which my husband and I found really appealing. It felt like being on a private beach! The host, Angel, was absolutely amazing, and provided everything we could need and went above and beyond (coconut water on the beach, always checking in when we saw him, kept the beach area on the property pristine). So long as you are up for longer cart rides, you will not be sorry you booked at North Beach. We highly recommend staying here, and we hope to be back.

North Beach Retreat was fantastic. The grounds keeper and his wife were extremely nice and went out of their way to be helpful. They were lovely people. The place itself is beautiful. We were looking for a private place where we could sit on the beach and relax daily. This was the place for that. It was peaceful and private. Because it’s so north and secluded you will have to drive far for food but it was worth it! And don’t forget to bring your bug spray.

Angel and Josie were excellent hosts who became more like friends than just hosts.

Fantastic place to stay if you want to get away from the crowds. The caretakers Angel and Rosi do a fabulous job of taking care of the space and helping with any questions and made some nice homemade treats. The water is about as close as it could be and the chairs and hammocks are nice to relax in. A golf cart is a must there are no kitchen facilities in the unit and there is a restaurant in the resort to the south that you pay the resort and country tax to that has pools, kayaks, bikes, and a bar. You can also utilize their pier for excursions that pick you up via a water taxi. There is also another restaurant to the north that serves lunch and dinner every day but Monday. These are both very short walks up or down the beach. We enjoyed listening to the birds, seeing the squirrels playing in the palm trees and swimming right out front of the unit. This is a must stay if you want privacy and a quiet spot but also willing to explore up and down the island via golf cart!

The property was nice and removed from the hustle and bustle of San Pedro. There are several highly rated restaurants close by but all of them were under construction at the time of our stay. Our favorite place to eat was portofino There are 4 guest suites on the property. The best part about our stay was Angel and Josie the property care takers. They were friendly and helpful and had good suggestions on things to do around the island. During our stay a tropical storm hit we had to stay indoors and they cooked us delicious meals because we couldn’t go out.

This review is coming from an Airbnb Super Host. So, believe me when I say, this place was absolutely incredible! I would absolutely stay here again and I actually hope to stay here again soon! The private bungalow “Eagle Ray” was an amazing place to stay and end my month long trip to Central America. When I first got to San Pedro, I had a different hotel that I had booked and from the first second I walked into that place I did not like it and started looking for other accommodations. I found this gem that Azul had listed that seemed almost too good to be true. But I booked it. Rented a Golf Cart and drove out about 40 minutes to the location, and Angel, the Property Manager and grounds keeper was there to greet me as I pulled in and I was floored with how amazing this place was and that I had booked it the day of! How could that place be available day of?! I stayed for 9 days and I absolutely loved it! The private bungalow and private beach were incredible. Book this ASAP if you can!
