The Space
Welcome to Casa Alta Vista, a beautifully renovated vacation villa that underwent a major transformation in the summer of 2015. This exceptional property now features two wrap-around decks on the second and third floors, five air-conditioned bedrooms, and a crow’s nest on the top floor that can serve as a sixth bedroom. The home is fully furnished with new appliances and furniture, making it an ideal retreat for large groups and families.
The villa boasts a 40-foot infinity pool equipped with lounge chairs, umbrellas, coolers, and pool toys. Even the outdoor pool shower offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Adjacent to the pool is a cozy bodega where guests can enjoy morning coffee while watching toucans or sip cocktails at sunset accompanied by the sounds of howler monkeys.
Inside, the house offers modern amenities including wireless internet, television, and state-of-the-art appliances such as a dishwasher, microwave, stove, oven, and washer/dryer. Three of the five bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms with showers, while the remaining two bedrooms share a bathroom. Additionally, there is a fifth restroom located downstairs near the laundry area.
The expansive wrap-around decks provide spectacular jungle-to-sea views and are furnished with multiple ceiling fans, chairs, tables, and a comfortable couch. These outdoor spaces are perfect for relaxing while enjoying the natural sounds of the surrounding jungle.
With the crow’s nest bedroom on the top floor, Casa Alta Vista can comfortably accommodate up to twelve guests.

Casa Alta Vista is situated approximately 10 minutes from the coastal highway, nestled between the towns of Dominical to the north and Uvita to the south. Both towns are accessible within a 20-minute drive and offer a variety of amenities including restaurants, shopping, banks, grocery stores, and pharmacies (in Uvita).
A popular local spot, Bar Jolly Roger, is just a 3-minute drive or a 10-minute walk from the villa. This mountain bar and restaurant serves quality food, cold beer, and features live music.

The pictures of the house do not show it in its entirety. It's better than what you see. The location is perfect and the view of the Cola de Ballena is spectacular. The rooms and bathrooms are satisfactory. Good space and layout. The times I contacted the hosts, they responded promptly and resolved the issues. If you are looking for quiet and an environment surrounded by nature, the house is 100% ideal. Our only suggestion is that a change of bed linens and more lighting in the dining room would be appreciated. We would be happy to come back.

House and view was stunning and just as the pictures showed. You definitely need a 4x4 to navigate the neighborhood, but the view was worth it and breathtaking. Great place all around.

We had a great stay at this home in Costa Rica. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful whenever we had questions, which made everything very easy. The location was excellent, with beautiful views of the ocean that we enjoyed every day. Our kids absolutely loved the pool and used it daily, which made the trip especially fun for them. The house was a great place to relax and take in the scenery, and it worked really well for our family. We would definitely recommend it to others visiting the area.

Our house was beautiful and everything was so clean. We spent a lot of time in the tiki hut by the pool because it had a beautiful view and a nice table to play games at night. Our host was very friendly and accommodating specially when we couldn’t get to the house till very late they were understanding. I would definitely come back to the same area and probably rent the same house as well.

The home was beautiful, clean, and had comfortable beds! The location was beautiful and in a great location. It's private and secure. I enjoyed the communication and answers to our questions. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the Dominical or Uvita area. This was my second stay in a YouGetHere location and they are the best!

Our family of 10 had a wonderful time at Casa Alta Vista. The home was very clean and well maintained. Because the house was so beatiful that we ate all of our local fish dinners at home. The kitchen was well appointed and had the oils and spices we needed. Small stuff but it matteres when you are traveling long distances. Can not say enough about the house, the view and the Domenical area. Loved it all.

Beautiful house with the most amazing views! There are so many outdoor seating areas to relax and soak in all the sounds and sights of the jungle. The drive up to the house is ROUGH (and I read that on other reviews but it "out roughed" what I thought) but so VERY worth it, and they lead you to the house initially so there is no confusion! This was the perfect spot for our family vacation!

The house was absolutely beautiful with a gorgeous view of the Pacific Ocean. The kitchen had everything that we needed. We ate dinner in the house most nights and enjoyed watching the sun rise from the outside bird's nest deck. The management was very helpful.

Amazing Airbnb, the place is prettier than the pictures show. Well worth the 10-15 min drive from main highway.
