The house was in an excellent location within the walled city, easily walkable to everything. We felt safe with security guards outside the door, and the home-cooked breakfast prepared for us was excellent! Each of the bedrooms had their own air conditioning, which was wonderful and necessary, and the small plunge pool (think large-ish hot tub with cold water) was a delight. Unfortunately the set up of the house is more like a former hostel: the layout is great if you're traveling with strangers, but our extended family of 12 struggled to find a spot we could all be together comfortably. We moved plastic chairs up and down stairs depending on whether we were trying to eat a meal together or lounge in a living room type space (could barely fit at a squeeze). For meals, we had to slide a heavy iron table across the house and the kids had to squat under the staircase. Overall it was a great place, but perhaps not ideal for groups wanting to spend to spend time together at home.

The house is wonderful, it is very nice, comfortable, and well equipped. It is super well located, the neighborhood is very nice and there is also a supermarket nearby. Perfect for large groups. They are very friendly and helpful

Excellent location and great place! The possibility of having Mrs. Mirelis who helped us with the kitchen and all the food was an excellent point in favor, in addition to the fact that her seasoning is excellent. Likewise, the butler service at night with Mr. Hernando is an excellent plus of the place that makes the stay in Cartagena much more entertaining and quiet. Overall it was a very peaceful and comfortable stay, the only recommendation I have is that the place does not have a washer/dryer to be able to have the opportunity to wash clothes during long stays (as was ours) but nothing serious about it. Otherwise, we had a very good stay and the host's service was the best. Highly recommended!

This place was great as it hosts my friends for a fellas trip. 8 bedrooms spread out was awesome. Having someone to cook for us was a real bonus feature. Hernando, the door man was excellent in regards to making us feel safe from unwanted visitors. The indoor pool was nice but wish it was heated but not a big deal. The only recommendation i would make is to provide face towels for guests. We went and purchased our own. If I was to return with a large group, i would stay at this place again for sure. The only complaint is that it was warmer in the common areas but that is because most places here are wide open to the outside. It is not enclosed. But luckily they provide swivel fans on the walls in the common areas to create a semi breeze to keep it cool as possible. I recommend this place for large groups. (work on your Spanish speaking before coming)

The place is in a good location. Never made it upstairs to top level because too many stairs. The maid made breakfast for us every morning. the first too days she never empty the trash out the bathrooms or replace out towels, we had to ask her. We had to take cool showers not hot showers. This apartment is good for someone young not senior citizens. Overall the issues were address immediately.

We had an amazing weekend with my friends. The house is spectacular, large and clean, the location is perfect, the street is beautiful! José is the best host! Great communication with him, his parents were very attentive to us, Angie's food was delicious and Hernando's care was always ready to help with everything! We would definitely always come back to stay at Casa Reales!
